Reader Note: I've loved this story for a good long while. Having been part of the Timeless fandom from day one... it broke my heart to see it go. Then, I discovered this hidden gem. And when I say hidden gem, I mean that the whole fucking fandom sleeps on it - which is truly a shame. The Timeless fandom fights hard for the renewal of the show (understandably) but totally sleeps on the wonderful content that is delivered to us by... guess what? THE FANDOM.

I can guarantee that this story fills the void that is Timeless, and offers an adventure that makes you feel like you're watching the show - it's almost as if it never left.

Many are unsure about fanfics (myself included), but this is one well worth taking the time to read - especially if you miss the show as much as I do. It has literally everything for everyone - history, adventure, drama, romance... it covers every character and ship beautifully. Lyatt, Riya, Garcia Flynn, Connor Mason, Agent Christopher - hell, you even see more of Christopher's family than you ever did in the show.

I will scream from the rooftops about this story, which is not something I do. I am very selective in what works I will brag on and damn, this is one that deserves the attention.

Check it on Fanfiction, AO3, hell... you can even find it on Wattpad! Not to mention, this book has a SEQUEL. And it's just as incredible as the first. Highly recommend giving both a read.

It's canon that Rufus prefers Star Wars and hates Star Trek, but he knows Klingon so well that he can translate Jiya's message without using the internet and recognize it as Klingon in 2 seconds. So this means that either Jiya made him watch Star Trek and/or learn Klingon, or Rufus decided that to fully hate something he needed to know everything about it so he could form full arguments against it.

Okay I finished my Timeless rewatch and here are some Thoughts no one asked for:

Best Season 1 Episode (Objectively): 1x11 The World’s Columbian Exposition

Best Season 2 Episode (Objectively): 2x08 The Day Reagan Was Shot

Favorite ships: Lyatt (duh) and Rufus/Jiya (liked them even more this time around)

Grossest ship: Nicholas/Emma...just no

Dynamics I would’ve liked to see more of (possibly romantically): Flynn/Emma, Emma/Jessica, also would’ve like some more Denise/Michelle!

Pairing that makes me think their shippers were watching a totally different show because the throughline and main love story was really clear: G*rcy lol

Best Brotp: Lucy/Rufus

Best Surrogate Parent: sorry Connor/Rufus but I really loved Denise as surrogate mom to Lucy more

Dropped plot point they should’ve brought up again: Lucy’s car accident (also Lucy’s half brother only got like two mentions and we never met Rufus’ family!!)

Evilest person: As cartoonishly evil as Nicholas was, I think I’m gonna go with that bitch Carol Preston

Favorite historical character: three way tie between Harry Houdini, Harriet Tubman, and teen JFK

Dare I say it? The scene where Jiya is the only one who gets the Star Wars reference Rufus made and it cut between the two of them talking technobabble. And then when he makes it back and they kiss. True love.

I fixed the Timeless season 2 promo image (again). I think this is my best fix so far ❤ It's just my opinion, but I think season 2 would've been a gazillion times better (and I do love most of it as it is) without wyat 🤷‍♀️😂😎
