They can't, the only plant based gems are petrified woods. Roselite have amazing eyesight that they dont need a microscope to identify cells from a plant. Bustamites keep track of all the info collected by roselites research.

I’m back from my rock show! I got some Cool Rocks!

First, the agates.

Another Turkish stick agate to join my collection! I can't get enough of this stuff. These form as pseudomorphs of selenite. A bunch of criss-crossing selenite crystals grow inside an empty pocket in the rock, and then the space around them fills in with agate. Eventually, the selenite crystals dissolve, and the hollows they leave behind are also filled with agate, preserving a record of their shapes!

Bonus! This pair has a nice green fluorescence.

Here is another Turkish agate. (Almost all of today's agates are from Turkey; Turkey produces some beautiful agate specimens.) This one has a really interesting pattern to its banding.

I actually picked this one out for its fluorescence, which is a stunning bright green.

Also from Turkey! Growing inside a super cool crust of volcanic rhyolite, this agate is called sagenite. Sagenite agate has a fibrous appearance because it is a pseudomorph of a fibrous zeolite mineral.

The last two from Turkey: a pretty red specimen with a sparkly central vug, and a weirdo with squiggles of yellow. What’s going on with that guy?

This one is from China! The red and orange agates from this locale are called "Fighting Blood" agate. I already have a Fighting Blood in my collection, but I thought this one was neat because its vug is full of amethyst!

Here are some things which are not agate!

This one is a lead mineral called plumbogummite! Specifically, these crystals are a pseudomorph of another lead mineral called pyromorphite. Over time, the lime green pyromorphite crystals were slowly replaced by the tealy plumbogummite. In a few of the broken crystals, you can still see a green pyromorphite core!

Hyalite opal! This rock has been on my bucket list, I am so excited. This form of opal is known for its water-clear, jelly-like globule formations. Though typically a colorless mineral, this specimen is tinted yellow due to iron staining. It’s also a mineral famous for its bright fluorescence… but this specimen’s glow is utterly unimpressive. :c I will be on the lookout for a more glowy specimen at future shows. Honestly, I’m just happy to finally own some at all!

This year, I also got some high-end mineral specimens! Take a look at these beauties.

Roselite! This rare, toxic mineral is full of arsenic. If I ate it I would probably die! Roselite’s deep red color comes from the cobalt in its chemical structure, and makes it highly sought after by collectors. This specimen is showing off a well defined lenticular crystal habit! Again, I cannot overstress how rare this stuff is. I spent… an inadvisable amount of money on it.

Oh, the best and most sparkly boy. This is wulfenite! I have wanted a piece in my collection for so long, and I’ve been waiting for just the right specimen to come along. It's a lead mineral, and it forms the coolest square, tabular crystals! This mineral is extremely brittle, which makes large, intact crystals of it very hard to find. But check out the huge tabular crystal on the right side of this specimen, it’s bigger than my thumbnail!!

And finally, I could not resist buying something silly.

8 Stones for Aphrodite 🌹

• Morganite

Pink like a juicy peach, morganite is the Lover of the Beryl family, a trait it shares closely with a certain goddess. A stone of divine love and sensuality, like the bosom of lady Aphrodite herself, morganite connects our human love to her own. It is also a stone that is said to heal heartbreak, and with Aphrodite being the medic wielding it, there’s no heartbreak you can’t overcome and learn from 💕

• Sugilite

This rare, strikingly purple manganese mineral is like the crystal equivalent of pure heroin, the drug, and also the woman, of whom this list is about. Sugilite is considered by many crystal witches and experienced metaphysicians to be one of the most powerful love stones, and any love goddess would be honored to be gifted a piece!

• Rose Quartz

Surprise surprise, if you didn’t think the ultimate stone of love and hearing wouldn’t be here, you are sorely mistaken! Roses are already a sacred symbol of Aphrodite and her cult, but rose Quartz takes it a step further with its metaphysical properties, and it’s stunning pink hues! It’s also affordable, and prevalent, so you don’t need to break the bank to worship her with it, she wouldn’t want that for you <3

• Vanadinite

Although more intrinsically connected to Freya, MY personal love goddess, Aphrodite is a soul sister to her, so it only makes sense that the apple wouldn’t fall far from the tree. Vanadinite is a stone of pleasure, an element of Aphrodite that is as alluring as it is empowering, and what better way to connect with her, and that part of both of you, than with a piece of vanadinite?

• Rhodonite

One quality of Aphrodite that I admire in particular, is the facet of her that is self love! Aphrodite understands that you can’t love anything else if you don’t first honor yourself, and your own beauty! Many depictions of Aphrodite found in archeological sites in Greece had fat rolls, something that the toxic gaze of ignorant men of todays society see as repulsive and unhealthy, but they’re wrong. Aphrodite, the literal EMBODIMENT of beauty, was in fact a plus size supermodel! Rhodonite is about loving yourself and who you are, and so is Aphrodite. Honor yourself, and consider getting a piece of rhodonite, if not for her, for yourself. You deserve it <3

• Rhodochrosite

To me, there is no stone quite as Aphrodite coded as rhodochrosite. Wether in its gemstone form with its spiky red crystals, or as a lapidary material with its wavy pink ribbons, rhodochrosite is cunty, and so is Aphrodite. It’s a stone of compassion, urging you to have love for others as well as yourself, something Aphrodite naturally gives to you.

• Pink garnet

Also called roselite, pink garnets are like pieces of candy, delicate and intimate, and oh so sweet! Garnets get their name from pomegranate, a fruit that is steeped in tales of seduction and lust in Greek mythology, making it the perfect representation for lady aphrodites more carnal facets of herself!

• Pezzottaite

Finally, we have by far the rarest gem on this list, but one I feel encompasses the Devine and valuable love of lady Aphrodite, pezzottaite! A type of beryl only recently discovered in Madagascar around 2002, it is a precious, raspberry pink stone. Few people get to work with it, but I am one of them, and I can say, this stone EXUDES love! it helps me to connect with the intricate feelings of love and the complicated emotions that come with it, yet also helps me to understand them. If you can afford it, and if you want to, I recommend searching for a piece, because it really is a stone of love that feels just like Aphrodite ❤️

Their design is mostly based around the fact that Lizzie & Rens duo name is catdogduo (made by my moot on twit _plastic_cactus)

This fusion is a centaur, she also has 2 tails ! One resembling a dogs tail, the other a cats .

One might think that Magical Girls are a typically Japanese genre given how the country assumes the kawaii aesthetic comparing to the Occident. But like all kinds of stories, Magical Girls aren't the property of any culture and one can easily find "Western" examples like "W.I.T.C.H.", "Winx Club", "Star VS The Forces Of Evil" or "Miraculous Laydbug". And among all these examples, this month we will talk about "LoliRock" ! In my rewrite, I gave each girls a specific gemstone, some specialties in their musical career/practice of magic and affinities with some kind of elements.

I take this opportunity to make a quick dedication to the creator of the series, Jean-Louis Vandestoc; and to TeamLoliRock which helped me a lot in this video's writing.

Iris, Princess of Ephedia

If I had to rewrite the series, I'd like to use more of her magical voice presented in the 1st episode and not really used in the rest of the series. I'd also like to make Iris more impacted by the revelation of her magical identity. I imagine her developing an almost unhealthy obsession for Ephedian culture in an identity quest typical of teens with 2 cultural backgrounds. The series would then be an opportunity for her not to base her identity on her dramatic origins and to understand that she is as attached to the Earth as she is to Ephedia.

Talia, Princess of Xeris

Age : 16

Xeris is supposed to be a world with all the knowledge about the magic of this universe or almost. So I guess they'd took the opportunity to improve everyday life with techno-magic as we see here and there in the series. If I could rewrite the character, I'd like to accentuate Talia's trauma of her kingdom's invasion (writers are sadists, don't deny it). To the point of almost never allowing herself to rest and being appallingly demanding of others. During the series, she would eventually agree to get help for her survivor syndrome and not let her past poison her life.

Auriana, Princess of Volta

If I could rewrite the character, I'd like to play on the fact that Auriana is the 2nd of a very large family and has the feeling that she must prove herself to exist in their eyes. And what better way to prove her worth than finding the Lost Princess of Ephedia and helping her in her fight against Gramorr ? Eventually, however, Auriana would realize that she was doing all of that for wrong reasons and eventually take her responsibilities to Iris and the other worlds seriously.
