“Dominique Avalos, better known as ‘Dom’, is frontwoman of the indie rock band that’s taking the world by storm – Tangerine Dagger. Influenced by slouch rock of the 90′s and contemporary indie rock of her peers, their sound is just as laid back as her style. If you listen closely enough, however, you’ll notice how the ever-evolving indie scene (new and old) shapes Tangerine Dagger’s sound – it’s even more prevalent in their citrus-themed moniker: a play on the name of Dom’s favorite short-lived dark synthpop/new wave group from the UK goth scene of the 80′s: Strawberry Switchblade. She prefers comfort on stage, opting for her trusty pair of denim jeans or loose slacks, paired with a loose tee. In her own words, her color palette is simple: earthy with a hint of dreamsicle.”

I am enamoured with the juxtaposition of the colourfun, fun, bright, cheerful with the fact that she's a vampire, so I leaned into that a lot. For reference, I used the pinterest board a lot, that's where I got her clothing inspiration from. She seems like a real fun person to hang out with tbh.
