hiiiii sobbing and crying qnd wailing everyolwuerw ive made this post on like three different platforms but i just finished garden story and i actually cant handle how fucking GOOD that game is, its actually my new favorite of all time. anyone that likes indie pixel/rpg/cozy indie games (UTDR FANS IM LOOKING AT YOU) NEEDS to play it. adorable graphics, stellar soundtrack, and heartwarming story. you will not regret it.

The World Next Door

Match 3 games aren't normally my thing, but I had a good time with this. The gameplay could use some improvements, as I felt like enemies could hit you if you dodged past them, which felt wrong, and sometimes the corridors were small enough that you had to take a hit. It wasn't enough to bring down my enjoyment. The plot and characters were intriguing enough, and the art and music were both beautiful.

After a wild summer I'm in for a wilder autumn!

I’m looking for new mutuals, so I figured I’d make one of these posts and see if it got me anywhere. I’ve been on tumblr officially for close to four years, but I’ve been lurking for probably five years before that. My blog is a mix of a Lot of fandoms, but I’ll list my biggest ones:

Hi there! I’m a 25+ f looking for new roleplay partners that are over the age of 21. (ALL CHARACTERS ARE 18+).

I range from lazy-lit to advanced literate, depending on my partner’s style. I write exclusively third person, past tense and I’d love for any partners to do the same. I write on Discord and love OOC chatting and squealing over our characters.

Right now, I’m looking specifically for fxm roleplays with myself in the female role. I can double if I really enjoy the plot but I make no promises because I’ve had some really rough experiences. I primarily play OCs but will write canons in certain fandoms. Feel free to ask.

I do my best to post daily (I normally get reply multiple times a day and I love a good rapidfire session) but I do have a stressful job and other responsibilities. If I won’t be able to respond for about a day or two, I let my partners know.

My fandoms are : A Court of Thorns and Roses, Throne of Glass, Crescent City, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Stranger Things, the Hunger Games, The 100, Bridgerton, Modern Disney, and Star Wars. I’m also interested in anything fantasy, mafia, historical, greek-myth based and slice of life with a bunch of twists and turns.

I would absolutely LOVE to write against Lucien or Eris (ACOTAR), Fenrys (Throne of Glass), Sam Wilson or Bucky Barmes (MCU), Stranger Things (Steve Harrington or Eddie Munson), The Hunger Games (Finnick Odair), and Poe Dameron (Star Wars). However I am also up for writing against other canon characters and OCs! Those are just the characters I have plots for.

Important question, do more of the RE8 villagers survive in this version?

Yes, very much yes. I can't, at this time, guarantee any specific characters other than Elena (definitely) and Luiza (probably), and an undetermined number of unnamed villagers, but I definitely plan for some of the villagers to survive.

While the total wipe-out of the Village in RE8 is a lot more believable than other "total wipes" like Raccoon City or the Pueblo in RE4, as it seems significantly smaller than both RC or the Pueblo, and has a more intelligent breed of bioweapon under specific instruction to exterminate the Village, Resident Evil has a weird and kind of uncomfortable history with complete massacres over its long history that I'm always inclined to push against. It's lazy, uninteresting writing to me when it's a trope recycled so frequently... especially given it's very clearly mostly used to provide clean narrative "closure" between each game by eliminating any other survivors other than the main protagonists (and Wesker lol). Like... RE4, for example, functions as a contained narrative because the Pueblo dies at its end. Its function is over in the continued story of "Resident Evil"... it only matters going forth in the context of Leon, Ashley, and Ada as characters. But as a writer, I'm much more intrigued by a version of that story that involves other survivors. What would it mean to live through something like that, not as the hero outsider protagonist, but as a civilian? How do you even recover? Who would you be after?

The weight of the horror of the complete destruction of a place that's isolated to a single game becomes faded when it's the same shit in every game. I'm sick of it, and bored of it. It would hit harder if it wasn't every damn game... better to take it apart and try something new with its empty box.
