Romans 15:4 (NIrV). “Everything written in the past was written to teach us. The Scriptures give us strength to go on. They encourage us and give us hope.”
“The Bible: God’s Love Letter to Mankind” by In Touch Ministries:
“Our Creator preserved His message in writing because He wants you to be part of His eternal family.”
“How amazing to consider that the Bible was compiled by 40 men writing in 3 languages on 3 continents over 1,500 years! Gather a group of people from just one generation, and you will have neither the consistency nor the unified philosophy and mission found in God’s Word.
Each book of the Bible reflects its human author’s personality and background. For example, Moses was the political leader of the Israelites in the desert; Daniel rose to the rank of prime minister while a captive in Babylon; and Paul, the well-educated former Pharisee, wrote his letters from prison. Yet every word remained true to God’s central theme—that His love redeems those who call on His name.
In 2 Peter 1:21, we learn why the Bible is cohesive: God Himself spoke through each human writer. In some cases, the Holy Spirit brought to mind essential details (John 14:26), as when certain material was passed down orally for the Old Testament or the Gospels. Then, to enable the writing of prophecies, psalms, and letters, God’s Spirit revealed important truths (John 16:15).
The heavenly Father loves you and wants you to spend eternity with Him. For this reason, He used men from every walk of life to record His gospel message.”

Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

anyway. the logan-spell was working on roman when kendall scolded him for the mencken deal and started using physical violence against him. roman conceded to the familiarity of abuse that he once felt from logan. but that spell was broken when kendall started coming after shiv, he immediately fought back and wrestled ken because ken isnt his overwhelming, all encompassing dad, kendall is his older brother. he can fight back against his brother because his brother isnt his dad. kendall isnt everything. and logan would never hurt shiv like that. i just think kendall coming after shiv was such a nail in the coffin for roman, made the mask really drop and made him see reality for what it is. it's all truly bullshit
#mentioned this briefly on twt but i will never stop thinking about those last 15 min holy shit.#💭.txt#succession#roman roy#kendall roy#succession spoilers#succession season 4

#it's so fucking tiring that NO picrew that i try no matter how diverse has a nose that looks like mine#(slightly crooked /roman nose idk what it's called in english without being derogatory)#and they rarely have eyebrows like mine that are thicker on the outside#but yeah the nose thing is UUUUGH#it's already enough that everytime i search for this kind of nose on the internet no matter which words i use to describe it; all I get is#before/after surgery pics 🙃🙃#now there's even ads for nose surgery on instagram...................which i signaled cause pettiness#anyway .the worse part is when there are like 15 choices for noses and they all are variations of pretty much the same 3 noses.#or when there is one hooked nose ...it's not very well drawn compared to the others#or it's not well placed on the face but they won't let you move it#i mean it's not that important. i dont think a lot of people manage to make picrew that LOOKS like them for real.#i was just getting angry on a pricrew i just tried that had like 15 noses and not one hooked except maybe one but it's so slight i cant#tell if it's on purpose or not#i also did one yesterday which was VERY diverse in terms of skin colors; disabilities; scars; etc it even had diff animal ears#horns#wings#BUT A HOOKED NOSE ????????? EWW NOOOO why would it need that#and yes it is 3/4 view one.#it had one nose that was probably what the author thinks as a hooked nose but honestly it's just a straight nose where they drew the bridge#i dont even look special#or anything#I exaggerate a bit#i actually manage sometimes to do somthg that looks like me ish. like that has my energy#but it would be nice to have more hooked noses you know :3333

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” —John 14:6 (NIV)
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” —Psalm 55:22 (NIV)
“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” —John 5:24 (NIV)

“The Bible is Alive” Devotional By YouVersion - Day 6: “The Bible Brings Hope”:
Ghana* was a devout Muslim until she discovered the life-transforming power of Jesus in 2016. But after converting to Christianity, she was abandoned, shunned, and ostracized by her community and family. At one point, her children were taken away from her and sent to a different country.
And although Ghana refused to renounce Jesus, she found herself without a solid support system to help her grow closer in her faith. Lonely and depressed, she even considered committing suicide. But eventually she met someone who downloaded YouVersion onto her phone.
At first Ghana wasn’t interested, but later she began reading the Verse of the Day at dawn so that she could meditate on its meaning and use it as a guide for her day. And over time, something unexpected happened…
“The verses became alive and dwelt inside of me. They taught me how to deal with people in healthy ways, and they helped me recover from my depression. Even though I was abandoned, I found comfort any time I read it. Anytime I read the Verse of the Day, in some special way it lifts me up and gives me hope. It’s as if God is always directly speaking to me through the verses.”
Ghana now looks for opportunities to share the Verse of the Day everywhere she goes. She posts verses online to encourage her community, and talks about Scripture at work with her coworkers and clients.
Her story is just one example of what God’s Word can do in all of us. Situations may shift, emotions may fluctuate, people may disappoint or abandon us—but the Word of God endures forever. And because of that, we can experience peace and hope that transcends our circumstances. Because when we allow God’s Word into our hearts, it will remain there.
Today, ask God to bring His Word to life in you by praying this prayer:
God, You made me and You know me. You alone have the power to transform my life. So today I am asking You to align my life with Your Word. No matter what I face, give me the boldness to remain true to Your Word so that I can proclaim Your truth and love to the people You place in my life. Make the roots of my faith grow down deep as I draw close to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pursue what matters most
In the book of Romans, Paul begs Christians to give their entire lives over to God because God sacrificed everything for them. Jesus gave up His life so that we could experience His unending love and grace. We cheapen His gifts if we refuse to align our lives with the way Jesus lived.
But we give our lives to God by making Him the one thing we pursue above anything else.
So here are 5 steps you can practice—right now—to help you put God first.
Give thanks
“We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds.”
Psalms 75:1 ESV
Right now, take a moment to thank God for what He’s already done for you. Reflect on His faithfulness, and recount the stories you have seen and heard of His wonderful power.
Spend 5 minutes in silence
“Abide in me, and I in you.”
John 15:4 ESV
Abiding in Jesus starts with stillness. So right now, pause, take a deep breath, and give anything concerning you over to God. Spend 5 minutes centering your heart on the One who matters most.
Remember Whose you are
“You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV
God loves you. The price He paid for you cost Him everything. So remind yourself of Whose you are, and reflect on some of the things God says about you.
Meditate on God’s Word
“Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.”
Psalms 119:97 ESV
One of the best ways to find out how Jesus wants you to live is by spending time in Scripture. As you do, ask God to speak to you through His Word about what His will is.
Focus on what is excellent
“…If there is any excellence … think about these things.”
Philippians 4:8 ESV
You have been given the mind of Christ. If you’re not sure what you should think about, try asking yourself: What is praiseworthy? What thoughts and actions would honor God?
Make a list of whatever comes to mind, and pursue those things.
By practicing these steps every day, you can create habits that will help you pursue intimacy with God every day, and put Him first above everything else.

I love that you’re so into succession because I don’t watch it but I’m absorbing the most gut wrenching, soul crushing bits of it via your blog and tumblr osmosis. saw a post that referred to Roman (I think that’s his name?) as “a dog chasing a boot” and I am unwell. It’s so good.
anon i love this. i love u. tbh sometimes i think absorbing media through tumblr osmosis is the best way to experience it. like i almost don’t want to ruin it for you. but my ape brain needs me to tell you to watch succession. if i don’t tell you to watch succession i’ll have an aneurysm and die.
#for every one person i’m entertaining w/ this brainrot i’m probably annoying 15 who can’t wait until succ is over and i stop talking abt it#but jokes on them hannibal ended 8 year ago and i have never shut up about it so the odds aren’t looking great#seriously tho it’s so good. it starts slow but starts fucking severely at like ep 4/5 of s1#roman literally is the dog chasing the boot and i’m so profoundly unwell about it ❤️

I am Pentecostal Christian and I can wholeheartedly say the same.
There is more scripture in His Word protecting those of diversity and differences and welcoming them into his arms all the same. All scripture that is against those of diverse beliefs/cultures/etc. Are INTERPRETTED AS SUCH BY THOSE WHO WISH TO WEAPONISE HIS WORD AGAINST THOSE THEY SEE AS UNWORTHY
HE DOESN'T DISCRIMINATE, FAKE CHRISTIANS DO
And Im tired of saying that. Of looking st my "Brothers and sisters" and knowing we are ALL hated because they think they are worthy decide the fate of those no better than they.
Christian's who think they can decide the fate of re worshipping themselves, they're no brothers or sisters or mine. They are no Christians.
A true Christian is one of warmth and unconditional love for all who will accept it in a spiritual sense. We are seed planters, not purifiers. We spread the word, not kill those who dont agree. But hope they can find happiness in their life with or without the one we call God.
I could preach for hours but I'll stop for now.
I’m an atheist. I despise evangelical christians. That said, if more christians were like this guy, I imagine there would be a lot less misery in the world.
