Not love at first sight but curiosity at first glance but make it horror-edition. You didn't give a fuck about me or who I am, you just needed someone to entertain you until you got bored and found a new play thing. You lock me up in your house and mock me, not at all hiding the fact that you are a killer and that you will murder me. I know I can't fight back and possibly win so decide to play your game. I am like a snarling dog, cornered and foaming in the mouth until I realise that and instantly turn into this polite and charming person. This change in attitude makes you curious (because how many people did you see do this?) even when you know this is nothing more than an attempt to survive on my part. You try everything to make me break; either to make me attack you or terrify me so much I'm a shaky mess but I don't fall for it. I will punch you as you punch me, I will eat these glass shards you put in front of me with my bare hands and let you watch the blood drip from my chin, I will watch you cut a man apart because you wanted me to and grab that still warm heart and rip it from the chest before handing it to you. You think I'm like you, just better at keeping control and slowly start to love me, but you could not have been more wrong. That love slowly turns into trust. You want to be partners in crime. You forget that I'm your hostage and say you love me. I say it back. You smile ear to ear and think of all the things you want to do together. That night, I leave the stove gas open before laying next to you and closing my eyes. I know we are not going to wake up the next day and I am fine with it. You have no idea. I entertain you further and give you a kiss. You sleep with a content look on your face. I don't try to run because I know that I'm far too ruined to go back anymore and live a normal life. You won, but at what cost?

Breakfast (A Bones and All Story Inspired by Dove Cameron's Lyrics) Pt 2

A/N: This is the second part of this short story that is inspired by Dove Cameron's song, "Breakfast" and the film, Bones and All. This part explores Lee's feelings for Maren.

Lee's Perspective:

We're sitting outside, in an abandoned campground. A fire is burning beside us, but it can't match the one I feel inside. Your beauty is too much for me. It is the perfect mixture of grace and chaos. I crave you, and it is not in the conventional sense. I know I’m sick, but honestly, I'm getting high off of it. 

You've bewitched me, like you performed a magic trick upon me. I have my own tricks up my sleeve that I am hesitant to share. I'm known to enchant people and let them in, but just as things hit a climax, I strike. 

I've had boys and girls for breakfast. One by one their memories hang upon my neck. Their scars marked upon my body. I couldn't reciprocate the emotions they wanted from me, but they'll always be mine. Sickeningly, it makes me feel alive.

If you want to talk about power, you have definitely taken control of my jumbled senses. I question things about myself that I never gave a second thought to. You're a mystery. You're a craving. You've unraveled my world. You’ve made me feel complete. Yes, you've shown me real power

Got the prints in the mail today! Last bank holiday I decided to spend a week writing a novella using the slasher horror romance trope. Set in the 90s, in the typical suburban town somewhere in America, a teenage girl goes to live with her dad after her mother's OD and soon murders start to happen and the town is a bit weird...

Added some folk horror elements to it because I love folk horror but also as a fan of dark romance I also like writing it acknowledging the predatory and fucked up elements of it.

I love my stories dark there should be more lgbt romance horror, but then again sometimes I like the thought of writing soft romance (which I believe I am not very good at)

A romance (and slight horror) story about an entomologist and an undercover immortal who fall in love, all the while another jealous being is killing humans in insect-related ways. The two plots eventually converge and the couple do their best to stop him.

Would have insect motifs and could be called Mayfly.

BONES AND ALL (2022)

This movie is first and foremost about love. The love Marens dad has for her even though he knows something is deeply wrong with her. His love leads him to cover up her crimes and care for her despite everything she does. It's Marens and Lee's love for each other, which leads Lee to beg her to eat him bones and all in his last moment because that way, he'll never truly leave her. This love leads Maren to first resist his pleas because she loves him too much to let him go, but in end honors his wish because of that same deep love. Its Lee's live for his family that leads him to kill his abusive dad and leave them soon after, so they'll be safe despite it killing him inside. And it Sally's love for himself, completely alone in this world, so in the end, it's all he can do. While this film had a couple of bloody scenes overall its deep message of love made it feel less like a horror and more like a romance. Although I did love the film, it felt a little too long. I think a 90-minute run time would have done the job just as well, but what do I know. This movie is definitely worth checking out

The young women was writing in the middle of the night. Her friend had left not long before, but she needed a story out ASAP. She was typing away at her laptop, when she heard a strange knocking sound. She knew she was home alone, and she brushed the peculiar sound off as the pipes, and she’ll deal with it in the morning. The noise becomes so distracting that she needed to close her laptop and breathe. She has struggled with panic attacks since she was 13 after her grandmother had passed away. She was so close to her. The young women took a couple sharp breaths as he brown hair fell into her face. She heard breathing and slight growling which caused her head to shoot up, her green eyes scanning across the dark abyss. Her breath had hitched and she didn’t realize she was holding a breath, until after she sighed. She then saw a figure out of the corner of her eyes. It was tall, dark, and lengthy. Something straight out of a horror film. But she didn’t run. She just sat there, eyes glued to whatever it was. It stepped closer, its bones seeming to pop with every step. She didn’t even breathe. The thing came running and shoved the brown haired women to the floor. She yelped in agony as she looked down, and saw the crimson dripping from her abdomen. She had landed on what looked like a metal pipe. The blood stained her hands as she touched it and screamed loudly. Then she passed out.

A/N: Bones and All is a masterpiece of a film that beautifully combines horror and romance. This is a short piece I wrote from Maren's perspective as she navigates her feeling towards Lee.

They warned me about you. Smooth and charismatic by day. Seductive and predatory by night. My brain knows that I should run, but my heart has an intense craving for you.

I've been running for a long time, and no one has bothered to chase after me. People come and go. No one sticks around for long. It's hard being a girl on the run.

Somehow, you're different. So sexy, yet so secretive. I know you're hiding something, and maybe I am too. Despite the mystery, there is no one I'd rather try and unravel than you. Red permed hair, knitted pink shirt, ripped jean shorts, and a plastic chain around your neck. You're so unconventional, yes so carefree. The confidence you carry is so magnetic. It leaves me yearning for more.

I want to devour every inch of your body. I don't care if it's wrong. I want to capture you in my arms, and never let you escape. This feeling is so powerful. It could kill a person.

As I watch you flirt your way through life, my hunger for you grows stronger. I want you like I've never craved anyone before. The others were appetizers, and you are the full course meal.

Despite the intensity inside of me, I long for a simple life. Stability and serenity have never been my friends. I carry a convoluted mind and a shattered heart. You could be the one to mend them if only your bones can handle the heat.
