(Link in bio) Today is 8-th of April, #internationalromaday I had a chance to speak with #selmaselman she’s a #roma woman coming from #bosniaandherzegovina She installs creativity, but also identity aspects into her artwork. As a daughter coming from a family that earns their living from collecting and selling iron, Selma uses iron and reusable materials to draw on. In her art show Mercedes Matrix she takes her family with her and they break a Mercedes in front of an audience in order to question the labor and capitalism in Roma settings and beyond. She is an active player in the media scene. From being popular in media interviews to promote her work online, she says that as a #romawoman has been targeted by a lot of hate speech from white people. Selma’s mechanism to #fighthate is actually to ignore it to the point where haters become conscious of their own unhappiness. • This episode of the podcast “Young and Diverse“ is produced as part of the Reporting Diversity Network 2.0 project in cooperation with the podcast Celebrate Life. The network is established with the objective to counter hateful narratives in the Western Balkans and effectively influence the representation of ethnicity, religions and gender. #6 Tribute for @francescototti Then, the day of your last match has just come. Today will be remembered as your last day ever as football player in @officialasroma. I've never really imagined what will happen in this day. You've been playing football in my whole lifetime. You debuted in 28 March 1993 when I was barely 1 year old. I watch you for the first time in 2001 when I was 9 years old. And now you're retiring when I'm 25. Such a long journey. It always about you and one club. You're one of the few that can stay as a one-club man. Your loyalty is much more precious than any other things that someone can achieve in football. Nevertheless, you're able to give Roma 1 more Scudetto in 2001. Ultimately, you won the World Cup in 2006!! I'm so lucky that I live in this period of time. This is a story that I'll tell my children in the future. I wish you a very best luck in your future endeavors. I look forward to see you again in the club management or even in the coaching area. Am 8. April, dem internationalen Romaday, präsentierten die Red Aces beim Heimspiel gegen Leverkusen das Spruchband "Zigeuner ist kein Fangesang! Antiziganismus bekämpfen!". Laut dem Aktionsbündnis - Rasenball gegen Rassismus reagierten die Gästefans beschämenderweise umgehend und lautstark mit "Leipzig, ihr Zigeuner"-Rufen. Allein dies verdeutlicht wie wichtig der Einsatz gegen Antiziganismus ist. Diese Diskriminierungsform wird zumeinst marginalisiert oder gar nicht erst wahrgenommen. Für viele Menschen gehört der Begriff "Zigeuner" zum Wortschatz ohne sich der diskiminierenden Konnotation bewusst zu sein, dabei sind Sinti und Roma Europas größte Minderheit.
