Roll for Doodle 3: Threads of Fate

So, I'm a derp and forgot to upload this when I posted the videos, but here is the result of episode 3 of Roll for Doodle! Weirdly fitting to have rolled a merman design in the middle of May, huh? I seem to be slowly assembling a cast of characters and just might try writing a comic around them at some point, but we shall see... You absolutely can! I’m afraid the universe has been a little unkind as of late so it’s been a slow process but I’m just over halfway through writing the new chapter! Anyway, enjoy 🌟

They’d sat in such a comfortable, easy silence, listening to his Corroded Coffin tape, a tape she called incredible with such fervent energy that his denial of her compliment earned him an uncharacteristic, “Shut up!”. She could tell him to shut up a million times over and he would never get tired, not when it leaves him feeling like his heart is made of popping candy.

God, what is he talking about? Fucking popping candy! See, that’s the problem! That feeling is exactly why he had to cut things short, why he had to take her home! Because so help him if she’d looked at him like she had for any longer… Let’s just say he wouldn’t blame Jason for putting his head on a pike. He really wants to put it down to Chrissy being friendly, wants to pretend like he’d hallucinated the way her gaze drifted to his lips, but she had been looking at his lips, hadn’t she? Maybe he’d missed a spot when shaving that morning; he isn’t exactly thorough when he’s in a rush and he’s usually in a rush.

Eddie lifts his head just enough to view Chrissy through the windshield. He clutches the top of the steering wheel as she heads for her house. There’s a certain bounce in her step that he observes, all light and peppy — maybe that just comes with the whole cheerleader territory. Get that pep in your step or face the wrath of Pepzilla! That would make a pretty goofy one-shot in theory.
