the shidis are still trying to figure out a way to get their time with shen shixiong back but until they've come up with a plan that can distract shizun binghe long enough for them to each get a head pat again, maybe even a tutoring session if they're really ambitious, they have discovered a surefire way to keep both shen shixiong and shizun occupied when they want to get up to stupid antics

give shen shixiong a treat

specifically give shen shixiong tanghulu

and then make sure that shizun sees shen shixiong eating the tanghulu

shizun won't be able to look away from shen shixiong enjoying the treat, but also doesn't want other people to be around shen shixiong enjoying the treat (the younger disciples aren't really clear why this is but it works) and shizun will keep shen shixiong occupied even longer because shizun binghe will insist on making more tanghulu for shen shixiong because their beloved shixiong should have only the best

and sometimes shen shixiong comes back with the extra tanghulu and shares it while they're recovering from the stupid antics and the punishment for stupid antics so it's mostly a win

now if they can just figure out how to get their head pats back...

This is the most counterproductive way to go about it when Binghe sees that image he will NEVER let shen yuan out of the bamboo house again 💔 what if a-yuan walks around seducing everyone like that!? The pure image of cang qiong would be in shambles!!
