Hey so I had someone on twitter ask me to cross post my roger and Blair headcanons onto here and like a week later I’m here to do it! I will add some more for making them wait too. These were also posted on twitter under @/chiidofearth so enjoy:

-I’ve talked about it in mo money quite a bit but Roger is a huge hockey fan. Loves hockey games and going to them he just loves the energy and the vibes of hockey games and how rowdy it gets

-naturally the type of person who goes out of his way to make sure other people are doing ok. He’s just the person when you’re having a hard time you go to cause he gives good advice and is always willing to listen

-twilight fan

-words of affirmation asf! I wrote a whole story basically about his love language which I will be posting soon but he expresses himself very well through words. When he’s sad he’ll write letters to Blair about how much he loves him to make himself feel better

-he isn’t the biggest physical touch person but once he’s comfortable with the person (Blair) he’s all over them as much as Blair is

-book lover straight up he always has a book he’s reading at all times and will give Blair the rundown of each story once he’s finished so he can talk about it

-tea drinker his favorite tea is peppermint

-in school is subject was English he can effortlessly write essays and often wrote essays for Blair

-he easily gets down on himself and finds it hard to fight for himself sometimes but Blair is just fiery enough to get him to fight for himself when others are wronging him

-he really did feel stuck in his life til Blair showed up and he didn’t realize how much he needed him until Blair was there. Blair is not like anyone Roger has ever associated with and at first that sense of danger is what allured him but over time as he got to know Blair it wasn’t that danger feeling anymore it that pulled him in it was Blair helping him change to live life less by the book and more so how he truly wants to live. Idk if that makes any sense but Blair inspired him to be more to people than his public image that he uses as a defense of people judging the real him

-that one got a little sad um his favorite book he tells people is Picture of Dorian gray but secretly he really enjoys the books in the perspective of a stalker you know the ones

-loves otters the animal not the body

-also loves raccoons cause they’re funny and him and Blair cried over the video of the raccoon washing the cotton candy

-I’ve said it in a different thread but he’s a vegetarian I think cause of a traumatic incident involving chicken on the bone

-stealing Blake’s hc but back sleeper

-I think he has played either the piano or cello classically or both

-Roger will play his cello every once in a while and every time blair comes and hugs him from behind as he plays and he just laughs cause Blair is in the way now but he tries to keep playing whatever he is

-can play by ear so he plays Blair’s favorite songs for him all the time

-a bit of a hopeless romantic and he believes in true love but before Blair he just didn’t think he’d ever get to experience it. Hint after he meets Blair he feels like he finally has

-a true believer that everything happens for a reason and that every person finds others for a reason and he writes a lengthy letter to Blair one day about how important it was to him tbat Blair found him when he did and how much he needed him and how grateful he is for Blair helping him change into who he is today

-he doesn’t believe in a higher power but more believes things happen for a reason

-maybe I should write letters to Blair from Roger’s POV that’s a good idea

-Blair calls him out real quick on putting up a front for everyone and he’s like damn ok.

-I have this more in depth in a au but Roger’s relationships often fizzle out because he’s too scared of being his real self with people and is terrified of expressing his emotions to others and so his partner never feels like they actually know him but with Blair he feels this pull to want to be himself it’s hard to describe but with Blair he says things and expresses things no one knows about him

-neck kisses in an affectionate way not a sexual way also will Blair’s forehead quite a bit just when they’re chilling

-on the down low likes true crime

-one last thing actually he really loves golf because it’s the type of sport where you have to have a clear mind and let all your anger and frustration go to perform well at so it’s cathartic to him and he likes watching hockey cause he can be fucking ANGRY

-Last one cause I have to leave now but this is a completely self indulgent hc and be ready cause I will do a one shot soon but Roger closing cashier at a sketchy grocery store linden is this because you are a closing cashier at a sketc- gets shot

-ok one more but surprisingly to a lot of people he’s a very very creative person and he keeps it on the down low but musically, artistically, and with writing he’s very very creative and good at those types of things and it shocks people when they find out

Now for some extra ones I’m gonna think up real quick for you you blessed tumblr user you:

-this one is Blythe’s but Roger is hypersensitive to light touch when he’s sick so Blair will have to put all his weight on him and it makes Roger feel a lot better

-Blair is really good at baking and will often bake things for Roger at like 2 am and one night it wakes Roger up and roger comes down and starts helping and that leads to Blair just hugging roger from behind while roger stirs shit

-Blair makes roger coffee all the time and just leaves it on the counter for when he wakes up

-Blair has a hard time waking up in the mornings and when roger wakes him up in the mornings he has to wake him up an hour earlier so Blair has time to keep rolling over and cuddling Roger and going back to sleep

-Blair slow dances with Roger’s dog

I might add to this later but that’s all I can think of right now!

“like father, like son” -honestly the way they BOTH played the baker and that’s coincidentally such a big part of his arc?? and Chip also worked with Andrew in falsettos?!?!?!?! the best

starships must have been a BLAST to film, the cinematography was so fun

also “genuine emotion expressed while under the influence” is one of my favorite tropes to watch, Jane does it perfectly and that scene was just so well done

it’s so interesting to see more sides of DMD, I really love how genuinely developed every single character is

Aiden playing just dance in the background was iconic

it’s a bummer that Roger turned out to be awful but I loved the photo wall and everything, I just cannot express enough how much I love Jenna and Maggie

hello anon! a few things i’ve enjoyed are:

-the new guest stars. watkins, hill, and raphael are knocking it out of the park. we waited longer than i wanted to to see june and dulé but hey, at least they’re here now! im already kinda attached to their characters and im pretty sure all of them are gonna get fucked over so im scared fjgkjhfdg

-just seeing all these mf characters again. ive missed them so much kjhgkdfjh i could watch them watch paint dry and i’d be okay with that bc i just MISSED THEM

-CONNIE. RESURGENCE. OMFG. i saw xosha roquemore (the actress who plays her) credited for 2x05 a couple weeks back and i FREAKED. OUT. god why do i love this narc. acab except for connie because i like her and she’s pretty (seeing her in full color and 80s style was a REVELATION)

-mo coming back ugh i missed him at the jammer group. seeing him complacent and beaten down HURT. im ready to see him fuck blair up i love blair but he’s walking away in handcuffs this season if mo has anything to say about it

-blair/harris. ok they’re cute i said it (plus they’re easily getting the most screentime out of all the couples this season which is nice bc their relationship is so much less established than the others)

-mo/dawn flashbacks mo/dawn flashbacks mo/dawn flashbacks mo/dawn flashbacks mo/dawn flashbacks!!! i knew we would be seeing their backstory but i didn’t expect it to be the first thing we saw all season!!! i love mo/dawn and i love getting backstory since i was waiting to know more about their past for so long and!! it’s here!! now we know everybody at the jammer group used to work for leighman and that’s why they hate them and we know mo and dawn go back a decade and!! it’s just so satisfying to KNOW i love to see it

-the entirety of Fore! (2x04) yassir. fucking. killed. that. shit. he was the sole writing credit for that episode, and when i saw that on the imdb page i simply knew it would be god tier. and it was! admittedly a little plotless, but that’s par for the course this season, plus it was early enough in the season to get away with it i think. the twist at the end. corky’s entrance. blair/harris. blair being an idiot. blair being a high idiot. yassir x being the king of feminism. yassir lester writing andrew’s emmy reel like that. we haven’t seen season 2B yet but 2A peaked with fore!. period. try to disagree with me. you can’t.

-ofc the 80s aesthetic that we all know and love. i saw somebody describe black monday as a period piece once and it seemed kind of ill-fitting bc it’s not set in victorian era england but yk what? it’s totally fitting. this is a period piece. the 80s slap.

-blair being the villain that we know he is. i wish they would quit stalling on this because it’s making all the characters seem monotonous and non-distinct, but i like those moments where blair snaps (“WE ARE DOING THIS” and “i am the only family you need now. just me”) andrew’s such an excellent actor and it’s fun to see this side of his range since he’s usually played really nice and wholesome (or at least not downright villainous) characters. he’s sending chills down my spine with some of the shit he’s doing and saying this season. andrew. emmy. nomination. now. GIVE IT TO ME NOW.

-momentary mo&blair resurgence (even if it’s fake). i miss mo&blair as father-son so fucking much anon you don’t even know. finding out that they were the ones clicking their heels in 2x06? i could’ve CRIED

-being right. ok this has a bit of lore but i have been STALKING the imdb page for black monday for MONTHS. bc they’ll add episode titles, or screencaps, or cast members all the time without telling anybody, and everything’s been accurate so far (so it’s not some troll lying on imdb we know that lol). specifically, in 2x09, there’s a character credited as dr. gabe egon. the tl already had suspicions that he had smth to do with conversion therapy bc there’s this one picture that sho released where you can see all this shit mo’s written on this board, and it DEFINITELY SAID CONVERSION THERAPY. and this episode comes around and roger is walking out this door that says “dr. gabe egon ~ therapy for the religiously erect” or whatever and i was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then roger blurts out that it’s literally CT and i !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this shit is in different areas for better or for worse and even if im confused and bored at the same time being pulled along for the ride is fun as hell

-the naming scheme for the episodes. i literally had no idea what they would do for the episode titles this season since there’s no countdown to black monday, but i like how it’s shit that the characters say/write. bc then a character says the episode name and you’re like !!!!!!!!!!! jfhgdfjk. plus it kinda tells you what’s going on--i knew 2x06 would be about a ponzi scheme before blair even proposed the idea in 2x05 bc the ep is titled Arthur Ponzarelli. and i knew fore! would be the episode where blair and the harrises are golfing and blair gets hit by a golf cart since “fore” is a golf term. and i know that 2x07, “who are you supposed to be?” is the weird halloween party ep where everybody looks ridiculous and ppl are def gonna be getting into it. 2x10 is titled “i don’t like mondays” and idk what that means but i bet mo says that line in the show. and 2x09 is titled “at that time” and im so scared bc that episode has a blair flashback and WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHAT DOES IT ALL MEANNNN

-more women and more women being relevant to the plot. good. it was getting a little obnoxiously man-influenced here. cmon the majority of the cast AND the majority of the directors AND the majority of the producers AND a majority of the writers AND both the creators can’t ALL be men. like pick a struggle.

Chirrut Imwe/Baze Malbus are my space dads and I love them with my entire heart and I live in the AU where they are alive and happy and nothing bad ever happens. 

Jiang Cheng/Wen Qing - IDK OK? I watched a gay drama and fell in love with the doomed straight couple, I don’t know what to tell you. I love them both as characters and I love them as a couple too. They love their families and I think they have the capacity to love each other and be an unstoppable partnership. I’m very defensive of my stubborn babies and once again, I live in the AU where they are alive and happy and nothing bad ever happens. I would like to have them be a couple and then sic them on my enemies.

Jiang Cheng - I imprinted on him as soon as the flashback started because I too am an anxious rule-follower who gets stressed out by Wei Wuxian’s antics and then I just... got over-invested and now I’m obsessed with him and can’t stop thinking about him. IDK what to tell you. As my tag says, it’s jiang cheng feels day every day over here

Murderbot - just a very relatable person on every level. I too find it much harder to deal with my emotions about real things than about fiction.

Dedicate Lark - I was having trouble picking which Circle of Magic character to put here, but Dedicate Lark is such a wonderful human - kind, mischievous, loving, skilled. I want her to be my foster mom too. I just wanna visit Discipline for tea and bask in her company.

Last Song: that I listened to? shit I’m not sure. My music listening is kinda all over the place. Ah, my most recently played on Spotify is my “Fave Opening Songs” playlist, which includes exactly three songs - “We Won’t Be Falling” (Guardian), Black Sails Main Theme, and Chen Qing Ling (The Untamed)

Last Movie: I think the last movie I watched all the way through was the documentary on trans inclusion in film and television, Disclosure. It’s on Netflix and I highly recommend it, though it’s a rough watch! It deals with trans-antagonism and racism in media and how the two are so thoroughly intertwined and it articulates many things I already knew much better than I can ever articulate them and taught me many new things as well.

Currently Reading: like fifteen billion fanfics (mostly The Untamed and Mo Dao Zu Shi) and also listening to the audiobook of Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir.
