NestClan Code and Rules

Because of the differing beliefs of the two clans, they have slightly different rules. The warrior code is the portion that they share. Because NestClan was formed recently, the rules regarding other clans are newer.

THE WARRIOR CODE

1. Defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life.

2. Borders must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.

3. Elders, queens, and kits must be fed first. Sick and injured cats must be fed first as well.

4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Thank the Gods for its life and nourishment.

5. The killing of kits and elders is strictly forbidden.

6. Clan cats must always help a kit in danger, regardless of their affiliation. To neglect a kit is to anger the Gods and curse your spirit.

7. Kits are to stay in camp until apprenticeship. A kit can become an apprentice starting from six moons of age.

8. New warriors will hold a silent vigil over the camp for a half day.

9. Unless in unusual circumstances, cats must have been a warrior for eight moons to receive an apprentice.

10. The deputy becomes leader when the old leader loses the position.

11. A cat must mentor at least one apprentice to become deputy.

12. When a deputy becomes leader, dies, or retires, the new deputy must be chosen within one full day.

13. If a leader is determined by the majority of the Clan to be harmful to the Clan, the Clan may force them to step down or even banish them.

14. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan’s territory.

15. A cat may not take a mate or have kits with someone from the other Clan.

16. Gatherings are held every full moon in the canyon. There shall be no fighting of any kind during the Gathering.

NESTCLAN RULES

1. The Rocktunnels are off-limits to all cats.

2. Cats may not enter the Wet-tunnels (sewers) unless accompanied by at least two other cats. Apprentices may not enter until they have been training for two moons, for safety reasons.

3. Healers may take a mate, and may have kits as long as there is at least one other fully trained healer.

4. Healers may not associate with VultureClan seers.
