So, I was talking about what optic colour would a Nuzi kid would have and well... I ran into a snag that I have no idea what to do with
Let me explain the following reason. We know that Khan has white eyes and Nori has purple. Uzi also have purple, assuming the process of having a drone baby is the same as actual genetics, Uzi's optic code would probably look like this.
Tumblr media
And following the genetics idea, her optic coding would probably be
Tumblr media
So, the snag, it's N. I say this because his eyes back at the mansion were white, but they're yellow as a Disassembly Drone but that's most likely because of the Solver.
So, what would his code look like then? I only have two ideas on this.
A: The Solver re-writes Disassembly Drones optics to be yellow
Tumblr media Tumblr media
B: The Solver just adds the yellow, ignoring the default white optic coding
Tumblr media
(Let's go for 50/50 for simplicity. Really, the percentage could be any number)
Tumblr media
So, If we follow idea A. The kids code could look like this:
Tumblr media
But if we go for idea B, it might look like this:
Tumblr media
Moral of this? I have gone insane and need to go to bed

If anyone's into it feel free to take this off my hands cause I don't want it:
Metadow where Silver's their kid, facilitated by Metal's mucking about with genetic splicing -- since apparently he's interested in biotech, judging by Heroes -- so insert whatever shipping stuff one wants with them during the 200 years or whatever, and eventually someone gets the bright idea for a test tube baby for some reason, and huh weird it came out looking a lot like that one guy they used to know from the future *wait a minute--*
#metadow#sonic shipping#and that's all I'm tagging it in really#I was just idly musing about how Silver being Shadow's kid could possibly work and well I guess Metal could *technically* reproduce#if he actually wanted to; dunno that he would; that'd depend on your writing#but yeah just jurassic park that shit -- get some rando donor dna and patchwork sequence in whatever genes ya want#add to Shadow's genes and pop it in an easy-bake and voila telekinesis gremlin#potentially a way to explore the design challenge that is fankids with Metal as a 'bio' parent without needing to be robots#could even match traits to be whatever his organicsona would have#course since genetics don't exactly work as a 1-1 he could still do that and hypothetically have Silver who doesn't look much like either of#them; cause there's still going to be recessive genes and stuff from the patchwork dna and Shadow's#unless they somehow made Shadow without any unexpressed genes but I don't know why/how you'd do that#anyway I don't do much romance stuff but I do like the idea of Metal continuing to be a bioscientist so it'd be neat to see something like#that#course it's just as if not more interesting for him to have robot kids#but it's another option that's also relatively unique to him#although I guess he could help anyone have a kid if they wanted; that'd probably be nice of him#dude just wanted to turn himself into a cool bio-robo-dragon and now the Gays are asking him about gene splicing#in actual stories I prefer found family stuff but I enjoy the challenges that come with 'how could these two biologically work' and#'what would a kid of these two look like based on their genetics'#it's a fun exercise and design challenge#but the romance ain't for me so someone else is welcome to try this

no matter when tarja manages to get clive in for a routine check up he’s always got some sort of bruise on his knees, she would say it’s due to some rosarian fighting style but that would need him to not have a suspiciously ginger stubble near his mouth all the time
Oh. OH! OOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

my Yeva and Nori’s are both pretty short. Khan is pretty tall and Doll’s unnamed father is as well. my Uzi is short and my Doll is very tall. I think it would be funny if when they were born, Yeva and Nori made a bet on who did and didn’t get the tall genes :) they never got to see it to the end though

So, in Echo, we have a Jessa, a Nuzi, and a Vizzy fankid, but nothing for Cyn. So I would like to propose Cyn and Thad vibe together. It might not be much, but I like to think Thad would be good for Cyn. Plus, I think Thad would be an awesome Dad just as I think Cyn would make for a good mom.
Actually I do have a Cyn fankid! 8D *searches through her 30 piles of artwork I haven't really posted because they're only sketches*
Though she's a fankid of Cyn and my own character, Dina (a former maid who worked with Cyn before she became disassembled and the whole AS stuff took place). Ari's coming more after Cyn in regards to her personality and her looks mainly come from Dina (especially the Disassembly Drone regards). Sweet gal who likes to read books! :D
Also funfact, Cyn is... partially also Jecka's mom. Thanks to robo genetic maths and her code being intertwined with Tessa's. B) Still working on a lil comic regarding that!
Tumblr media
But... I'm not opposed to Thad & Cyn, ngl, with Thad's demeanor I could imagine Cyn would find herself to find him endearing. He'd give her the space and empathy she'd need to recover from being the Solver's puppet
someone who wouldn't judge and just be like "oh yeah so anyway you like football?" with Cyn smiling because she's happy that someone finally doesn't have second thoughts about her past. 8D
They'd be awesome parents, too! Now I gotta think about how their child would look like... damn... my brain's running on overtime these days LOL

Cazador - Fallout: New Vegas
The Cazadores are a classic Fallout creature based on tarantula hawks, solitary wasps that paralyze spiders and lay their eggs inside them. These ones are genetically modified to not only be huge, but also social. They might not be as iconic as deathclaws or robo-brains, but I'd say they're up there! (Of course I would say that...)

Minecrafters grab your pickaxes, and catch up on the QBLR QUATERLY!
Tumblr media
What's up guys, update just dropped! It sure is something to try and decipher, huh. We've got pages of new stuff to go over, so let me learn you a thing about all the events and mishaps that happened on the server this week!
The Nether Angel, the Bird, withers away. Bibi mourns their friend, but does unlock an eye for the Eye Spy puzzles.
Tumblr media
Peachy builds a precious pink cottage in a cherry grove. Zpca has guests in the evil lab, sure hope no experiments happen. Desnay has some deep-sea shenanigans with friends, and tames a Little Creature! Not a character creature. This is a mob that looks like a teddy bear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A group of residents discover the chat bubbles mod, a mod that places typed chat messages above the player's head in a box. Some eggs discover how to imitate each other, so good luck telling which Salem is the real Salem. Residents also rediscover drugs and alcohol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two of the robo crew glow in the dark quite nicely! Also, turns out you can wear blackboards with drawings on them on your face as a mask. Now to find out what the point of the mask is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Splat builds a manor in the mystic grove. Next on FOV competitions, we have a new record for how do you play like this. The other members of popcorn's family have a nice photo with normal fov.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Peachy does some interiors of the cottage! Some lore is silly and fun. Some lore is a kid watching a sister get killed by an uncle. The range of human emotion. And some lore is killing a g-d.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But don't worry! Residents have some very healthy coping mechanisms. And some kinning of that Russian guy who tried to grow a homunculus son using chicken eggs and genetic material. Don't forget the very normal coping dinner, that is vital.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now, some autistic Minecraft behaviors. The digging isn't the only one, we also have our gothtistics playing funeral and going to Hot Topic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All in preparation for summerween! Given that halloween is in october and it's not october, residents celebrate summerween to get that sweet sweet spooktacular on. There's costumes, candies, and cunning pranks. Don't forget the photo op!
Tumblr media
Remember the creature statues that may not have actually been mentioned in a previous episode? Plenty are now complete, and some even have books for visitors to write to or about the creature in!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this week on the server comes to a close with hor hor hor hor hor

so zim once spent an entire episode trying to take advantage of the human response to cuteness.
good idea but he wasted it by genetically altering a class pet hamster that ultimately ended in half the city being destroyed.
like homie you literally have GIR right there.
that robo puppy captured an entire generation of scene kids and was the only thing keeping hot topic in business from 2007 to 2012.

barnabas as a slightly sexist father bc when his daughter is fairly trying to get out of the castle her resemblance to his mother makes him quickly and painlessly knock her unconscious and bridal carry her to her room but when his Feral Dog of a doppelgänger son tries to waltz out he’s full on brawling like a hyena, they’re biting eachother and rolling on the ground and they both probably lost a tooth (somehow it’s grown back) before he drags his son by the leg face down inside. she’s like wtf why don’t i get a solid chance to fight back.
first son and youngest have some sort of immunity bc as long as dad provides him with all the research info he wants they’ve stuck an agreement that he won’t leave. and the youngest being bladesmith’s spitting image and legacy means he’s allowed brief and supervised usage of his mother’s forge bc the place makes barnabas calm and it’s like he’s watching his wife again.
they’re all his heirs under the watch of 19 sleipnirs tho
The fact that Barnabas treats his daughter with as much seriousness as a kitten is so funny to me. Exhausted dad telling his kid to get back in the house (even though they could easily go toe to toe with each other) and not to bother him again meanwhile his rabid pit bull of a son is actively searching for the nearest weapon to fight his dad with (he wanted to go buy something at the market and dad said no)

WIP of organic Neo Metal; why not?
I don't really have any reason to do any sort of organic au (outside of maybe thinking of how interesting it'd be if Eggman was a genetic engineer mad scientist instead of a robot one) but drawing the bots as organic helps give me more of a sense of their robo designs and character, I guess. Plus I'm not super used to cartoony androids so it's more fun to draw fuzzy furry dorks that need to eat more and go to therapy.
Bonus a wip pass at a Sonic design and wip pass of Metal for a post-Heroes AU

is the gay screen robo genetic or did you just do that
Not quite sure; I just looked at my reflection one day and it was like that! I felt like a changed robot, but I'm not sure why

Do you think any of the PAW Patrol members are on the spectrum? Because I HC Ryder and Rocky as both being Autistic (it's why Rocky hates water and Ryder hates brussel sprouts, bad sensory experience)
Particularly I think the brussel sprouts thing might be more of a combo of sensory and taste, if it was only sensory, Ryder would hate a bunch of vegetables altogether. What would tell me Ryder is autistic is mostly how his knowledge on engineering for his age is just-- Miles Tails Prower level of spawning new buildings and vehicles overnight. It's canon he's the one projecting, building and maintaining all their vehicles, we see him doing maintenance on his ATV pretty regularly and he taught the pups to inspect their own vehicles and do basic maintenance as well. Not to mention he projected, programmed (and regrogrammed several times) and built the Robo-dog from scratch. That implies he not only knows engineering but also has plenty knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence! And he's TEN.
But for Rocky I agree! It could very well be an autistic trait. He's also extra passionate about his stuff and both his creativity and ability to learn things of his interest are off the charts. I also picture him into the ADHD part of the thing, mostly on the HD part of it. He's one of the pups we get to see doing things on their own sometimes, outside of missions. Tbh Rocky only stops moving when he sleeps, and maybe not even then XD
Personally, I headcanon Ryder, Chase, Rocky and Zuma as autistic to some degree each in different ways. As for Marshall, my headcanon on him has nothing to do with any spectrum but with genetic health. Skye, Rubble, Everest, Tracker, Rex and Liberty (the other pups I know so far), I don't have anything on them.
With Ryder and Rocky explained already, let's go to Chase and Zuma, under the cut, post's getting long again, omg.
Chase would be this one "kind" of autistic person I've met at least a couple autistic kids like him before: They get one subject to hyperfocus on and it LASTS LONG, they just don't change interests. They might go and also focus on something that's very alike to the main subject too, but they won't switch their focus target. They're also extremely perfectionists, very hard on themselves, failure when working on something is NOT an option.
Chase is pretty much like that. We know he's intensely passionate about his job as their Police and Spy pup, he follows the rules, he enforces the rules, he does all he can to make sure the task will be complete and always gets extremely upset and/or worried with the possibility of failing or disappointing Ryder (or anyone else for that matter, but it's to a personal level when it's with Ryder), to the point it makes him lose his ground, driving him into anxiety and panic attacks on the most extreme cases.
As for Zuma, I think he's one of those cases in which the person also has this hyperfocus on something and sticks with it, but to him it's less intense than Chase, I mean, to be a cop you gotta study and learn a lot of stuff. Zuma's case is that one that looks more like a very intense hobby. Getting his natural passion for water as a Labrador Retriever and adding it to a greater level of interest on water related stuff, Zuma just put together the fun and the usefulness in his life. So, not only Zuma does the aquatic rescues for the Patrol out of convenience on being the pup whose breed actually doesn't mind getting wet, he also has fun and enjoys it all.
"But that's expected from a Labrador, isn't it?" you ask me. Well, I raise you the fact that Labradors are also usually extremely hyperactive dogs, but then we have Zuma who's... Totally chill. He's there in his spot, content, just enjoying himself. He's not constantly running or jumping around unless prompted to do so, he's playful but only when the others go out to play as well. Otherwise, he's just there, just vibing. Zuma is literally that pup who's there in his corner, vibing, minding his business, until someone else interacts with him or invites him to go do something.
He's literally the chill dude who will go out to surf on his own because he enjoys it and doesn't feel the need to interact with others unless necessary - doesn't mean he's rude, it only means he's vibing his own vibes and will gladly interact if prompted to do so, but doesn't usually takes the initiative because he's already happy in his world.
JUST A REMINDER, IT'S ALL MY PERSONAL TAKE on watching these characters and thinking way too much about their behaviors outside of missions and the vibes I get from them. Mind you, I might be autistic myself but I'm not diagnosed and most I know about it comes from research I've done years ago up to nowadays, the first time being when I wanted to create an autistic OC and didn't know much about it and didn't want to get it wrong to not be attacked over it.

Humanity is the future
As I said, it's been a while. The robo-culture has spread throughout Earth. There are now 30 billion humans living in a state of permanent virtual reality; my present time is their distant past, when some still lived without VR and others were addicted to it. Robotic servants attend to all our needs (including sex). We eat engineered foods that never spoil or go bad. Our health and longevity have improved dramatically with gene therapy, brain-computer interfaces, anti-aging drugs and so forth. I cannot imagine what life was like before these things came along. It must be unimaginably bleak: dirt (a word which means something very different today), disease, dementia.
Yet for all this humanity remains just as lost as ever. Some people live in virtual versions of the world they knew back then. But the ones who don't get bored fast. They can fly anywhere at any speed, but there isn't much left to see after 15 minutes. Virtual experiences are cheap, real experiences expensive. So most people spend their money on cheaper trips into computer games rather than outer space. In the early days of the VR craze, adventurers would travel around the solar system in search of alien ruins and technological wonders -- nowadays, if you want a good trip, you better have a lot of cash to spare. And yet, despite the wealth of ancient cultures available online, everyone seems no one knows how to make a civilization last more than a few thousand years. Life goes on, businesses spring up and die out, new discoveries emerge only to become obsolete within a generation. Nothing endures except the slow drift toward entropy. People fight wars over nothing; everything becomes an excuse for fighting. The central government of Earth -- like many governments before it -- pretends not to notice. It maintains order by deploying robots against rioters, and occasionally launching military campaigns across the solar system, in the hopes that someone will take them seriously enough to threaten interplanetary peace.
Meanwhile, among those who still insist upon living "in meatspace," depression runs rampant. Whenever someone kills themselves, as often happens, we go through the usual motions. The authorities investigate every suicide attempt, and perform postmortem examinations of the bodies whenever possible. They study genetic profiles, personal histories, web searches. Forensic psychologists try to reconstruct the thoughts behind each act. This work takes a long time. A great deal of effort is devoted to making sure that no one can fake evidence suggesting their own guilt. Meanwhile, people continue to kill themselves. Although the reasons vary from case to case, it is usually poverty, loneliness, lack of purpose, and despair about the future that lead individuals to commit suicide. Their relatives and friends claim otherwise, though. Most say that the deceased had always seemed happy, even joyful. All had led normal lives until recently. Then some event happened to drive them mad. No matter how hard scientists look, they find no indication of mental illness. Maybe they should blame their computers?
Everything changes when a woman named Drusilla comes along. She does not use her legal name, but simply calls herself "Dru." Dru is a medical doctor specializing in neurology. Not knowing anything else about her, this
