Hi! Your Hollow Knight AU has really cheered me up so I wanted to do a little drawing for it! This got me to get my art tablet out after months of not feeling like it so thank you for the inspiration! I hope the colors look good on any monitor that's not mine sdfsdf

I am so genuinely awestruck at how well you translated this AU to the hollow knight style! Also obsessed with the height difference.

Jacob Headcanons:

* Has characteristics of Librarians/Hollows: somewhat deep seated eyes, constant dark circles around them. Somewhat tall for his age. Kinda get a slight uncanny valley vibe from the guy, but not in an absolutely horrifying way.

* Has scars all over his body from the events of the series. Lightly faded scratch under his left eye, some here and there on his cheeks and neck. They’re faint due to Mother Dust’s healing powers.

* Has scars on his chest & stomach from being in the jaws of a hollow. Like puncture scars, arching like a sideways smile.

* Has some sort of body dysphoria (either short or long term) after turning back into a human after the final fight with Caul. He feels too short, like his body is too small to properly contain him.

* He secretly liked being a Hollow/Librarian, cuz he finally felt truly peculiar

* Didn’t exactly have the happy peaceful childhood that he says he had. It was quite lonely, somber, and toxic when it came to his family life (parents, uncles, cousins, etc.)

* Definitely was the black sheep of the family

* Had a slight obsession with air planes when he was young

* Knows how to speak a handful of languages due to his dream of exploring the world. He wanted to interact with all sorts of people. It’s why he adores Devil’s Acre as much as he does. Different people from different walks of life in one place.

* Hard to anger, but oh boy if someone he loves is hurt you better run

* Protective (more canon than anything lol)

* Called Abe “dad” a lot when he was really young. He stopped eventually, but catches himself calling his grandfather that sometimes to this day.

* Could speak Hollowspeak when he was a baby/toddler, which always startled Abe into thinking they were in danger. It confirmed his peculiar status. He slowly lost that ability by the time he reached a year old.

* He can see ghosts, but often doesn’t realize that they are ghosts in the first place unless they do spoopy things

* Is actually really good at playing guitar and violin, due to his mother’s obsession in making him a “prodigy child” to flaunt around to her socialite friends.

* Has a Floridian/Polish accent

* Eventually develops the ability to sense peculiar souls much like Hollows, and can use that to find missing Peculiars

* (Might be canon): he can hear the souls inside their jars trying to speak to him

* Gets bad migraines and gets “foggy brained/disassociates when he overuses his peculiarity due to him splitting his consciousness into several Hollows at once.

* Pretty much always cold and always hungry.

* When controlling hollows, he’s not just using his mind to control them, but projecting his soul into them. It’s why he can feel their pain, see what they see, etc. despite being separate from them.

(Some of these seem to be shared in the community which is both funny and delightful to me 😂)

Random MPHFPC Questions/Thoughts (Part 1)

Does Claire brush her backmouth's teeth? If she eats with her backmouth (and supposedly tastes the food), does that mean that she also tastes shampoo everytime she washes her hair?

Can ymbrynes accidentally lose control of their peculiarity? Just imagine them wrecking havoc by accidentally manipulating time in their sleep or when they sneeze

Is Emma fire-proof to fire that doesn't come from her?

Why does Miss Wren have a menagerie instead of a regular loop with peculiar children?

Was there something between Kim and Myron? There must be a reason why Kim obeyed Myron and kept his secrets when he could have easily destroyed Myron with this knowledge, meaning that Myron wasn't blackmailing him (like he blackmailed Mother Dust) or forcing Kim to work for him. Were they lovers or something?

If the Academy of Ymbrynes is a loop, how do the ymbrynes age and become adults?

The ymbrynes' (probably Miss Avocet's) decision to keep the Bentham siblings together in the same loop was cute and all, but didn't it occur to them that Jack/Caul and Myron, being the only two persons in that Academy who couldn't manipulate time (and therefore couldn't assist to most of the classes taught at the Academy) would feel left out and jealous?

Jack probably changed his name to Caul to have an uncommon name like his siblings (I know that Alma can be a common name, but it's still less common that Jack). In the meantime, Caul seems to be tolerating being called Jack (by his siblings) quite well, he never corrects them

We all know that Bronwyn is super strong, but doesn't she feel pain when lifting huge rocks or casually punching through walls?

Althea's death could have easily been avoided if the peculiars had helped her instead of just standing there and watching her fight off Caul alone

Didn't anyone do anything about Jack's abusive behavior towards his sister (and brother)? Didn't Miss Avocet or Miss Bunting notice that?

Can wights understand Hollowspeak since they were once Hollows themselves?
