Funkadelic - Maggot Brain

For the early days of Funkadelic's career the funk definitely took a backseat to the psychedelic. And while there are funky elements throughout Maggot Brain the real star is guitarist Eddie Hazel. I think Eddie Hazel is one of the best guitarists ever, his work in Funkadelic and his solo career is a blend of psychedelic, blues, hard rock, funk, and jazz and no one blends them all the way Hazel does. On the middle of the album Hazel plays fuzzy heavy riffs especially on You And Your Folks, Me And My Folks and Super Stupid. And on the ten minute opening and closing tracks he shows off his improv skill by playing delicate strings of jazzy riffs that create a beautiful stream of consciousness style solo. Obviously every single ayer on this album is a master at what they do but if its early Funkadelic, especially Maggot Brain and Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On, then Eddie Hazel is your god.

U2 - The Joshua Tree

This is an enjoyable album. The 135th best album ever? Oh my god no. U2 are factory default music. They are plain, unsalted potato chips. Bono is incredible at reaching into the void and pulling out the platonic ideal of banality. Like these guys can write decent music, but there is no soul. Inside those jangly chords and melodramatic vocals is just a bunch of guys who want to be famous and will do anything to get there except be sincere.

Fugees - The Score

In terms of rhyming, flow, storytelling capabilities, expansive vocabulary, beat crafting, and whatever else you want out of a hip hop record The Score is possibly the greatest record of all time. Wyclef Jean in charge of production and bringing a casual style of rap with heavy use of Haitian creole, Miss Lauryn Hill with a tough stacatto style while also bringing beautiful singing, and furtive Pras so easily forgotten. The mix of reggae and jazz into the hip hip beats made for some very unique flow and makes the group stand out on the basis of their instrumentals alone. But the rap skills of the rest of the group are completely insane and all three are ao perfectly in sync with each other. The lyrics are effortlessly cool and intelligent as fuck at the same time. There are absolutely no throw away tracks on here. Every single song could and should have been a smash hit single. And to be fair Ready Or Not and Fu-Gee-La did become huge hits and the transcendent cover of Roberta Flack's Killing Me Softly is one of the most evergreen songs in hip hop history. The Score has stood the test of time and become one of the most belived albums for a reason.

Joni Mitchell - Hejira

At this point in her career Joni Mitchell was an unparalleled genius at artistic expression. A little folksy and very jazzy, especially with the help of fretless bassist Jaco Pastorius, Mitchell is in the zone here. Every song developing its own complex series of characters and symbols. This is Joni Mitchell's most complete and cohesive work, although i personally have a slight preference for the less focused Hissing Of Summer Lawns.

Hank Williams - 40 Greatest Hits

What am i even supposed to say at this point? Sure I like Hank Williams but if you cant actually point to an album that is significant to call one of the 500 greatest then just choose aomething else. Hey there have only been three or four metal albums total and one electronic album so far. Why not choose some of that? Iron Maiden, Diamond Head, Judas Priest, Converge, Rainbow, Entombed, Gojira, Sepultura, Devin Townsend, Voivod, Opeth, Between The Buried And Me? Theres a list of metal bands with top 500 tier albums. Andy Stott, Carl Craigg, 808 State, The KLF, Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Robert Hood, The Orb, Justice, Moodyman, The Field, Leftfield, Mr. Oizo. There I gave you some electronic artists too. This list sucks. Oh yeah and Hank Williams is like the father of country music and is really good and important or whatever.

Fugees - Ready or Not (Official Video) May 25, 1996 - 28 Years Ago Today: Fugees (Refugee Camp) began a 4-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart with their album, "The Score." This was the 2nd and final studio album from the trio of Wyclef Jean, Pras Michel and Lauryn Hill. It was an enormous success producing four charted singles on the Hot 100, three of which were Top 40's including their cover of Roberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly," which spent 3 weeks in the No. 2 position unable to break the 8-week reign of Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony's hold on the No. 1 spot with their single, "Tha Crossroads." The leadoff single, "Fu-Gee-La," samples Teena Marie's "Ooh La La La," and reached No. 29 followed by the Flack cover. The 3rd single, "Ready Or Not" samples "Ready Or Not Here I Come," by the Delfonics and "Boadicea" by Enya but only reached No. 69 on the Hot 100 but was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The 4th and final single, No Woman, No Cry," reached No. 38. The final three singles were positioned on the Hot 100 Airplay Chart which was published from October 20, 1984 - November 28, 1998. The album also went to No. 1 Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and became the No. 1 album of 1996 on that particular chart. "The Score" was certified 6X Platinum, earned a Grammy for Best Rap Album and is ranked at No. 477 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Fugees, ‘The Score’

COLUMBIA, 1996

The East Coast and West Coast were in an arms race to see who could be more hardcore when the Fugees snuck up from behind and slayed everyone with a feather. The trio of Wyclef Jean, Pras, and Lauryn Hill blended rap, R&B, and reggae into an intimate, widescreen sound, using panache, a teasing sense of humor, and a forthright intelligence. Their second album was both an underground and mainstream hit, thanks to the singles “Fu-Gee-La,” “Ready or Not,” and their breakbeat cover of Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly.” Hill lays out the highbrow-for-lowbrows battle plan: “And even after all my logic and my theory/I add a ‘motherfucker’ so you ignant niggas hear me.”

Dr Who and the Daleks (1965)

is a 1965 British science fiction film directed by Gordon Flemyng and written by Milton Subotsky, and the first of two films based on the British science-fiction television series Doctor Who. It stars Peter Cushing as Dr. Who, Roberta Tovey as Susan, Jennie Linden as Barbara, and Roy Castle as Ian. It was followed by Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. (1966).

The story is based on the Doctor Who television serial The Daleks, produced by the BBC. Filmed in Technicolor, it is the first Doctor Who story to be made in colour and in a widescreen format. The film was not intended to form part of the ongoing story-lines of the television series. Elements from the programme are used, however, such as various characters, the Daleks and a police box time machine, albeit in re-imagined forms.

Native American/First Nations Woman Writer of the Week

ROBERTA HILL 

This week, we introduce you all to Roberta Jean Hill, formerly Roberta Hill Whiteman, a poet and educator native to Wisconsin! Born in 1947 near Green Bay, Roberta Hill grew up among the Oneida Indigenous peoples of Wisconsin, a rich heritage that enlightens her work as a poet and has driven her scholastic career. In her third poetry collection, Cicadas: New & Selected Poems, published by the Holy Cow! Press in 2013, Hill writes:

To the people, beings and places I love, named or unnamed, met and imagined. May they continue to inspire us to live and keep loving earth and her beings for all eternity.

UW-Milwaukee Special Collections preserves four signed presentation copies of Hill’s poetry books, all published by Jim Pearlman, founder and editor of Holy Cow! Press in Duluth, Minnesota, which is dedicated to publishing writers who live in the American Midwest and focuses on publishing Native American authors and thematic anthologies. 

UWM Special Collections holds two copies of Hill’s first collection of poetry, Star Quilt, originally published in 1984 with foreword by poet, editor, professor, translator, and human rights advocate, Carolyn Forché. One is a first printing from 1984, signed in 2013 to our library, while the other is a second printing, illustrated and republished by the Holy Cow! Press in 1985, which is signed to Milwaukee poet and educator DeWitt Clinton.

The illustrations for both printings of Star Quilt were done by Hill’s husband, artist, director of First Nations Film and Video Festival, Inc, and member of the Northern Arapaho tribe, Ernest Whiteman. The cover art for the book is a portrait of a woman facing four ways, hinting at Roberta’s use of the four cardinal directions⁠ throughout the book that portray the separation and displacement that the Oneida peoples have experienced in a long history of forced migration by the U.S. government. Throughout the collection, Hill internalizes this feeling of loss and separation, utilizing an extended metaphor of dust in the winds returning to the Earth, from where the peoples are said to have come. The poem above, “I’uni Kwi Athi? Hiatho,” uses Hill’s father’s name, the meaning of which Hill says he never revealed. 

In the glossary for Star Quilt, Hill tells the history of quilt making by Plains Indian women, which are designed with a central star for their children and grandchildren, stating, “it is a valuable possession, connecting the generations to one another and the earth.” Hill dedicates this collection to those who inspired her writing, “In Memory of Our Parents John Atlee and Eva Mae Whiteman and Charles Allen and Eleanor Smith Hill”. 

Roberta Hill’s second collection, Philadelphia Flowers: Poems, published in 1996, carries many individual poems to and for family and friends, dedicating the collection to her three children, Jacob, Heather, and Melissa. The cover painting and illustrations for Philadelphia Flowers are again by Ernest Whiteman. Hill’s final and most recent collection, published in 2013, Cicadas: New & Selected Poems, reprints poems selected from Star Quilt and Philadelphia Flowers and acts as a follow-up to her recent life experiences; including a longer individual poem dedicated to Hill’s late brother-in-law, “Ernie” Whiteman. 

Also held by our department is a fine press printing of an excerpt of Roberta Hill’s poem, Your Fierce Resistance, published in 1993 by the Minnesota Center For Book Arts in conjunction with The Loft’s Inroads: Writers of Color series. Be on the lookout for more on this beautiful production coming later!

After graduating with a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Hill earned an MA in fine arts from the University of Montana, and completed her PhD in American Indian Studies at the University of Minnesota. Hill’s doctoral thesis honors the work of her paternal grandmother, Dr. Lillie Rosa Minoka-Hill, through a biographical study of her life as the second American Indian woman to earn an M.D.in the U.S. Roberta Hill has held several academic positions and is Professor Emerita of English and American Indian Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The shooting schedule ran between April 10 and August 18, 1944, with retakes plus additional segments filmed on December 22, 1944 and then between January 25 and February 6, 1945. The film was first proposed in 1939. 

Synopsis ~ We meet a grayed, immaculately garbed Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr. in Paradise (his diary entry reads "Another heavenly day"), where he looks down upon the world and muses over the sort of show he'd be putting on were he still alive.

Lucille Ball ('Here's to the Ladies') is appearing in her 64th film since coming to Hollywood in 1933. 

Fred Astaire ('Here's to the Ladies' / Raffles in 'This Heart of Mine' / Tai Long in 'Limehouse Blues’ / Gentleman in 'The Babbit and the Bromide') also appeared with Lucille Ball in Roberta (1935), Top Hat (1935), and Follow the Fleet (1936). His name was mentioned twice on “I Love Lucy.”

‘FOLLIES’ TRIVIA

Sidney Guilaroff, Lucille Ball’s hair dresser, who takes responsibility for her famous ‘golden red’ for this movie, becoming her trademark color.

Although they appear in different segments, this is the only feature film collaboration between “I Love Lucy co-stars" Lucille Ball and William Frawley. Coincidently, Frawley's character in this film shares a striking similarity with his iconic character of Fred Mertz on “I Love Lucy.” In this film he plays a money-hungry curmudgeon of a landlord, much like the show. In the above photo, he appears with director Minnelli and co-star Brice. 

The horse ridden by Lucille Ball is the Lone Ranger's Silver!

Lucille Ball was actually fired by Ziegfeld from his road company production of Rio Rita in the 1930s.

In February 1956, Lucy and Desi appeared on “MGM Parade” to promote their MGM film Forever Darling. The show also included footage of Lena Horne singing from Ziegfeld Follies. 

Lucy also played a showgirl in pink in “Lucy Gets Into Pictures” (ILL S4;E19) aired on February 21, 1955. The scene was inspired by Ziegfeld’s legendary stage shows featuring beautiful women wearing elaborate costumes navigating long staircases. To solidify the comparison, Ricky says he is going to a meeting with Mr. Minnelli. Vincente Minnelli was one of the directors of Ziegfeld Follies. 

Lucy Ricardo had previously cavorted around in a lampshade in the manner of a Ziegfeld girl in both the unaired pilot and “The Audition” (S1;E6).

Ziegfeld Follies includes a sketch for Red Skelton called “When Television Comes” aka “Guzzler’s Gin” in which a (future) television spokesman gets increasingly sloshed on his product. This sketch was an obvious influence on Lucy’s Vitameatavegamin routine in “Lucy Does a TV Commercial” (ILL S1;E30) aired on May 5, 1952. 

Ziegfeld Girl Eve Whitney appeared on “I Love Lucy” episode “The Charm School” (ILL S3;E15). She used her own name for the character.  

The Telegraph Boy in "A Sweepstakes Ticket" Arthur Walsh - appeared on “I Love Lucy” in “Lucy Has Her Eyes Examined” (ILL S3;E11) as Arthur ‘King Cat’ Walsh. He teaches Lucy how to jitterbug. 

The first Judge in the “Pay the Two Dollars” James Crehan also played the Police Detective on “I Love Lucy in “The Great Train Robbery” (ILL S5;E5) first aired on October 31, 1955.

Porky, a voice on the telephone in “Number Please” Peter Lawford, played “Password” against Lucille Ball on September 24, 1964.  At the time, Lawford was married to President Kennedy’s sister, Patricia. On November 26, 1968, Ball was a guest on “The Tonight Show” when Peter Lawford was sitting in for Johnny Carson.

Chorus Boy Bert May appeared as a solo dancer on “The Lucy Show” in “Lucy and Tennessee Ernie Ford” (TLS S5;E21) in February 1967. 

In the dressing room, Lucy jokes with Fanny Brice, one of the funniest women in showbusiness.  This was the only time Ball and Brice collaborated and was Brice’s last film. 

Ziegfeld’s follies began on Broadway, so it was appropriate that the show featured past and future Broadway musical stars:

Storia Di Musica #177 - Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, 1998

Tra i candidati a finire il mese delle storie musicali dei dischi unici, intesi come prova unica dei loro creatori, c’erano numerosi capolavori: dal meraviglioso disco dei The La’s (omonimo, del 1990, il disco con cui nasce il brit pop) al caustico e sconvolgente disco dei Sex Pistols (Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols anno di grazia 1977), a qualche gemma minore, come l’album dei The Young Marble Giant (deliziosa band scozzese, Colossal Youth del 1980) o al disco dei Germs. Ma la scelta non poteva che cadere su questo disco, uno dei più importanti degli ultimi 30 anni: The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill. Uscito nel 1998, dopo una travagliata gestazione, il primo e unico disco solista di Lauryn Hill, dopo lo scioglimento dei Fugees, segna la storia della musica contemporanea. Con quella band, insieme a Wycleaf Jean e Pras Michel aveva già sbancato con il disco The Score (1996) grazie ad un sound e tematiche che aprivano la cultura hip hop al mondo, abbandonando l’atteggiamento gangsta, con testi meno aggressivi e misogini e soprattutto una spruzzata di soul (la leggendaria cover di Killing Me Softly With His Song, brano di Roberta Flack fatto conoscere in tutto il mondo). In precedenza, nel 1993, era stata tra i protagonisti de il film Sister Act 2 con Whoopi Goldberg, dopo lo scioglimento dei Fugees è produttrice di Aretha Franklin e dello stesso Wyclef Jean. Tra i motivi che portarono alla rottura dei Fugees ci fu la storia d’amore spezzata tra Wycleaf e la Hill, che durante il tour di The Score ha una relazione con Rohan Marley, uno dei figli di Bob Marley, con cui avrà un figlio, Zion. Proprio durante la gravidanza la Hill inizia a scrivere e pensare il suo album solista. E lo fa seguendo la grande tradizione della musica afroamericana: una produzione sontuosa, il meglio degli ingegneri, arrangiatori e sessionisti e soprattutto un controllo totale da parte dell’artista su ogni componente artistico-musicale, in questo in pieno stile Stevie Wonder o Prince, dato che la Hill presenzia ad ogni sessione strumentale oltre che vocale. Registrato tra New York e i leggendari Tuff Gong Recording Studio di Kingston, in Jamaica, appartenuti a Bob Marley, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill nei suoi 14 brani (più 2 hidden tracks) ridefinisce la musica rap, hip hop e soul inaugurando così la strada del nu-soul al dominio globale (parzialmente di vendite, ma soprattutto stilistico ed estetico) del genere sulla musica mondiale. Insieme alla Hill ci sono gli Ark (Vada Nobles, Rasheem Pugh, Tejumold Newton e Johari Newton), la chitarra di Carlos Santana nella meravigliosa To Zion, dedicata al figlio, la voce inconfondibile di Mary J. Blige in I Used To Love Him e il genio di D’Angelo in Nothing Else Matters, tra gli altri collaboratori ci sono Stuart Zender, che sarà con il suo basso nei Jamiroquai, James Poyser, che poi sarà uno dei pilastri dei The Roots, e al piano un giovane ragazzo, John R. Stevens, che qualche anno dopo diventerà famoso come John Legend. Nel disco c’è tutto un mondo, personale soprattutto, ma che non ha paura di denunciare e combattere, come nell’apertura di Lost Ones, prorompente e impetuosa, sul mondo dell’industria musicale e dei suoi tranelli; Ex-Factor, probabilmente indirizzata a Wyclef Jean, sa del soul di Marvin Gaye. Doo Wop (That Thing), singolo da milioni di copie e numerosi record, ha in campionamento Together Let's Find Love dei The 5th Dimension. Superstar omaggia Light My Fire dei Doors, riprendendone leggermente la melodia; Final Hour addirittura campiona Prince in un ideale passaggio di consegne creativo, When It Hurts So Bad, probabilmente autobiografica, è un brano dolente e appassionante. Non può mancare un accenno al reggae in Forgive Them Father, omaggi al maestro Wonder con Every Ghetto, Every City. Everything Is Everything, altro singolo di successo, con uno sconosciuto (all’epoca) John Legend al piano, è il brano più politico. Manco la cover è sbagliata, nella bellissima reinterpretazione di Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You scritta da Bob Crewe e Bob Gaudio per Frankie Valli. Tutta questa meraviglia non passa certamente inosservata: 19 milioni di copie vendute nel mondo, nel 1999 10 candidature ai Grammy Awards, con ben 5 premi vinti, tra cui tutti i più importanti. Doo Wop (That Thing) prima canzone di un’artista femminile ad esordire direttamente al numero uno della classifica Billboard. Eppure non tutto filò liscio: la Hill fu per tutto il tempo di registrazioni e produzione ai ferri corti con la Columbia per mantenere l’assoluta libertà creativa dato che la casa editrice le suggerì di farsi aiutare da RZA del Wu-Tang Clan, gli Ark in seguito le fecero causa per mancati crediti sulle canzoni (diatriba finita anni dopo con una transazione milionaria), la Hill decise di sua spontanea volontà di andare in Jamaica a registrare in un ambiente “senza vibrazioni negative”. Tra le varie tracce sono chiaramente udibili degli stralci parlati, del maestro e poeta Ras Baraka che parla a un gruppo di bambini nel salotto della casa di Lauryn Hill nel New Jersey. La Hill decise dopo questo capolavoro di ritirarsi a vita privata con Rohan Marley: ogni tanto ha pubblicato dei singoli estemporanei, ha tentato senza successo la reunion dei Fugees, ha avuto processi per evasione fiscale, accusa per la quale è stata anche in carcere. Si è parlato anche di sopravvenuti problemi psicologici, ma non importa, perché con questo disco, che nel 2020 è stato nominato il più grande disco del rap dalla rivista Rolling Stone, Lauryn Hill dà prova di una classe unica e fondamentale per tutta la generazione successiva a questo capolavoro.

UPDATE TO CROWN LANDS - "END OF THE ROAD"

There is a stretch of highway in British Columbia, Canada that has been sadly dubbed "Highway of Tears". Along this stretch of road, for the last 50 years, indigenous people, all women, have been abducted and murdered.

These control features are not what I have been accustomed to seeing here for posting a new post here on Tumblr, and, these colorful icons are not present when I do an edit of an existing post here on Tumblr. There are fewer controls for an edit, and the controls are grey in color, not rainbow color spectrum. The zoom needs to be set at 130% in order to make a new post here on Tumblr, any other zoom setting brings up a different screen where no text can be entered.

With this variety of Tumblr text box, the use of "Ctrl + v" for pasting a screen shot is not possible, I must navigate to the "screenshots" folder in my computer to find the screenshot I just now captured.

That navagation to the "screenshots" folder is not necessary when I do an edit of an existing Tumblr post, when edditing an existing post, I am able to simply use "Ctrl + v" to paste the last screenshot that was captured.

The Centurylink/Google/Tumblr internet terror consortium is using the fact that I can either paste, or must navigate to the "screenshots" folder in some way to frame or set me up as having posted child pornography. The child pornography that is being shown to the federal agents is on a computer that is almost identical the one I use, however, the porn computer is a 15' model, mine is bigger. That computer is sometimes in posession of Lorena Chapman, but the actual pornography of the children is from Myers at 560 Jackpine, is real porography images of children taken at the 560 address. in a barn/shed in the backyard there, and at other places that are not far away from 560 Jackpine, and the Lorena Chapman/Micheal Brassil terror cell at 3701 Russell Road.

Every kind of social organized assemblance includes that there is a place where work is done, at that place, there is a separation of power within, where there are leaders who make decisions, and there are workers, who support the existence of the organizes assemblance of people. The workers are separated from the leaders in some way, at a company where products are made, the leaders are the managers, CEO’s, CFO’s, other corporate officers and foreman. The workers are in the factory area, the leaders are separated by some kind of wall, or other divisor, such as the offices in the hallway at the factory.

All it takes is a dinner party, holiday gathering, other reason that the company will have a celebratory event. The event is one where entertainment is provided for both the workers and the leadership, Sometimes just the leadership is at the party where there is entertainment. Either way, all the needs to happen is for that company to show up on a hunting list of the pirates. The pirates get a foot in the door somehow, someone associated to SAG gets a job there in the normal way, that is the foot in the door. When it’s time for the annual Christmas party, that is when the SAG infiltrator suggests that they have connections to some top notch entertainers for the party, and convinces the CEO that Dolly Parton can and will perform at the party. So, arrangements are made for someone like Dolly Parton to come to do the entertainment at the annual Christmas Party at the big corporation.

The drawing shows what could be the office centrally located in the factory, that oval shape. The pentagon shape is for demonstration also, represents the building where the factory is at, and is where the Christmas Party is to be held.

Dolly goes down all of the hallways, to do private autograph session with as many leading managers as possible, and look-a-like replacements have already been arranged by the janitor team. They repeat that down the halls, takes about two hours for the whole job at the Christmas party replacement session. All they need to do is get Dolly (famous entertainer) alone in the private office of the leadership for a short time to release some nitrous gas to overpower the leadership, once all of the look-a-likes have been arranged before the party started, with help from that one foot in the door that was hired the usual way. Dolly goes home after the autographs are signed, her job is done at that point.

Then, with that done, after the party, everyone goes back to work, separated from the leaders in the offices, as they make the products in the factory part of the building. The look-a-likes are all there, being impostors, and staying in their offices, while claiming that they have a cold, or flew, don‘t want to get the workers sick, so are staying away from the rest of the employees.

Meanwhile, special team janitor is torturing all of the leadership in a basement somewhere. They gain all of the information they need to maintain the company, keep the workers working making products. Then, later, those imposters start to clean house at the factory, fire the workers one at time, then bring in SAG friendly workers, or some variation of that.

The simplest explanation is that everything is set up where there is a separation between the leaders, and the workers, even family households have that kind of structure, leaders, and those who are led.

All it takes is to get one gas wielding SAG member into the safe area where the leaders are at for long enough to overpower them with nitrous gas, once the look-a-likes are already to go, on attack day, at the office party so the janitor can do their job of carting the victim away unnoticed. After that, there is ample time to take over the entire company, ship, house, military base with other means. The look-a-likes goal is to stay out of sight during the transition period, so, they don‘t have to do much once they are in the safe oval office area, and say that they have a cold, are sick, and don’t want to infect others, so they just stay in the office, and cancel any appointments they may have, to reschedule another day, with an attack plan in place to take over who ever may have an appointment to see the CEO leadership.

The Hospital killings have been going on in Oregon for since the Asante Health Three Rivers Medical Center was built in 2001 at 500 SW Ramsey Ave 97527. I suspect there was a lot of Medical insurance billing of treatments that murdered patients at those two places never recieved, were murdered, insurance billed for every kind of test and treatment plan as was possible without being cought of noticed, The proceeds seem to have been used to grow the Asante monster into what it has become since 2001. Asante pretty much took over all of the hospitals in the Southern Oregon area as time has progressed.

All of that hospital activity for mass murdering is covered up to make the facilities appear as top rate facilities. They are all loaded up with actors in the lobbies, in the hospital rooms, working as technicians and nurses. I highly recommend Iron Man Armored Adventures, featuring blue-eyed Teen!Tony with sidekicks Rhodey and Pepper and their adventures. Rhodey is fantastic but Pepper is an acquired taste. And their frenemy, Gene Khan! The show has 2 seasons (season one is available on Amazon streaming but you can find the show in the usual places). The show’s animation is early CGI but comes off as more of an art choice than evolving art technology.

The show features: Teen!Justin Hammer, who gets his hands on Stark International at one point; Whitney Stane, who turns into Madame Mask; Obadiah Stane; Rhodey’s mom, Roberta, Super-Lawyer Supreme; Frozen-Steve-in-a-Tank; Andy the Awesome Android; the Controller in an interpretation of the Ty Stone/Dreamvision story; lots of minor traditional Iron Man enemies; appearances by Fury, Hill, Black Panther, Doctor Doom, teen!Black Widow and teen!Hawkeye; Hulk, Jean Grey; and sprinkles of references to other characters in the Marvel universe. Tony even starts his own company -- Stark Solutions! -- when he loses Stark International. Best version of Howard Stark anywhere. There is so so much more.

In one episode, Andros Stark comes from the future to stop Tony from creating a techno-virus. What I prefer to think is that Andros was surprised at seeing Tony without his other grandfather, Steve. But that’s just me.
