Art is abstract | Robby Keene x reader
Tumblr media
summary: Robby try (and fails) to bake brownies.
warnings: none.
a/n: not proof reading, sorry!
Living alone (well, if you count your mom staying the night with her boyfriends and leaving in the morning, then almost alone) made Robby learn things by himself, like cooking.
But that doesn't mean he was an expert, and oh boy, he wished he was skilled in the kitchen. Why was so hard to bake some brownies with a heart shape? He has been baking since morning and all he got until now was some fucking brownies with a shit shape.
He turned to see the time on his phone, you'll be at his house in 30 min and he still needed to take a shower, rushing to the bathroom he left the brownies on the table of the kitchen.
You were standing at the door of your boyfriend's house, you arrived earlier but you couldn't help it, you were so excited to see Robby's face when he opened the gift you bought him. Knocking at his door, you patiently waited for him.
The door was finally opened by a Robby fully dressed but with soaking hair and with a towel around his neck, this must be heaven. Standing there just admiring his figure you didn't hear anything he said.
“Hey baby, you okay?” He sounded concerned but the teasing smile on his face told you he knew the effect he had on you.
“I hope you don't open the door looking like this to anyone” Your smile matched his. “Only you” he dragged you inside the house by your waist, pulling you closer to him. “Hi” a kiss on his nose and he could feel the stress from before leaving his body. “Hi” He was about to take your hand when he saw it, you were carrying a gift bag.
Robby quickly looked at you and before he could say anything, you were faster than him. “I know, i know, we said no gifts, just movies and pizza, but you can't blame me, in fact, blame yourself!” Robby was more confused and once again, you spoke before him, but this time handing him the bag, telling him to open it. “You looked like a sad puppy the whole last week and I couldn't handle it, all I could think was, what can I do to make him happy again? And then I saw it at the store, and well, i think it suits you very well” at this point you were rambling, feeling nervous, what if he doesn't like it? what if he hated it? what if he—
“I fuckin love it” His voice made your heart flutters, the butterflies dancing in your stomach. “You know i have never received a lot of gifts in my life, but this? It's definitely my favorite, god, you're my favorite person in this entire world, thank you babe, for real” He left the skateboard on the floor carefully, and you were crushed between his arms and body, it felt nice, it felt perfect.
But also you felt a smell in the air, something sweet, like brownies!
“Please tell me that smell is because you brought brownies” You separated your face from his chest, but you were still in his arms. “What a way to ruin the moment, huh” He looked down at you smiling, but his face quickly changed at the mention of the brownies, fuck, fuck, fuck. “I actually baked them but—” You squired yourself from his grip and ran to the kitchen, giggling like a child, Robby running after you, trying to stop you to see the shit brownies but it was too late, you had them in your hands and a beautiful smile on your face.
“As I was saying, I tried to bake them in heart shape, but as you can see, it didn't turn out that way” His eyes glued to the floor, too embarrassed to look at you “I mean, it's not that bad” He scoffed, obviously you were lying, “Okay, okay, it's not that pretty but you know, art is abstract” You stretched your arm to him, brownie in hand, an invitation to eat it together.
“At least they taste go—” faces scrunched up at the moment you two ate a bite from the brownies “Honey, did you by any chance used baking soda instead of baking powder?”
“What's the difference?” And he looked so serious while asking.
Oh boy.

soulmate au: You find your soulmate when you touch for the first time and the date and time you met becomes engraved as a tattoo on your wrist.
Warnings: starred out swear words, violence? that’s it? 🤔😂
Pairing: Robby Keene x Fem!Reader

‘October 31st 11:58pm’
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god.
Robby. Robby Keene. Miyagi-Do’s Robby Keene. Hawk’s practical sworn enemy Robby Keene.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god.
(Y/n) didn’t know what to do. She was sure she looked like an idiot, just standing there staring at him. But what was she supposed to do? It wasn’t like she, or anyone else for that matter, had tons upon tons of experience in this specific department.
Robby Keene…
Could this night get any worse?
“Why don’t you come over here and say that to my face, you little b*tch!”
Right…
The sharp pull, which was slowly becoming more familiar to the girl, was what brought (Y/n) out of her thoughts. She was confused again about its origins, but only for a moment before realization struck her like Hawk’s fist slamming into the side of Demetri’s face, which she could practically feel from where she stood.
Robby was gone.
And that was the pull. It was Robby. Robby, and the soulmate bond. Because Robby Keene was her soulmate. (Y/n)’s heart fluttered all on its own at the thought, and, against her better judgment, she allowed herself a moment to appreciate it. Robby was her soulmate. (Y/n) had found her soulmate. And he was… well, (Y/n) didn’t really know. But the universe did. And that was good enough for her. Her Cobra Kai friends, however, might take more convincing…
But, of course, she didn’t need to deal with that right now. No, right now, (Y/n)’s brain had apparently made the executive decision that she needed to, instead, make a break for it. Not that it wasn’t warranted. The whole evening had been an emotional roller coaster. So, fleeing the scene seemed like a fairly acceptable thing to do. And she hoped Robby would see it that way. He seemed pretty preoccupied presently anyways…
“Moon!” (Y/n) ran through the crowd, pushing past shocked partygoers who were watching the madness going down on the dance floor, and mentally cursed at herself. Why had she thought hitching a ride was a good idea instead of making her own way to this thing, knowing full well she wouldn’t have wished to stay as long as her friends did anyways, even if she hadn’t run into such a crisis as she now knew as “Robby Keene.” She honestly just hoped at this point that the other girl would be too preoccupied trying to stop her boyfriend from causing an all out karate brawl in formal attire to think too much about whether or not she should hand over the keys. Because (Y/n) really needed to get out of there…
“(Y/n)! Where’d you go!?! We were worried you got caught up in…” She trailed off, gesturing towards the mess that (Y/n) could vaguely see a familiar jacket in the middle of. Her heart jumped against her will when she caught sight of the boy she was universally destined to be with, and for a moment she contemplated staying to see if he would be alright, but then all the problems that come along with him returned to the forefront of her mind and (Y/n) was forcefully reminded how much she needed to be gone when he finally did come looking for her.
“Moon, I have to get out of here! You have to help me!” (Y/n) knew how frantic she sounded and almost felt sorry for the concern she was probably filling her friend with, but she just didn’t have time to sit around and explain. The fight was still raging, of course, but who knows how much longer it could go on for. And she needed to make her escape while they were all distracted…
“What are you talking about? We’ve gotta stop them!” Moon started dragging (Y/n) along with her, destination clear but, even if it hadn’t been, the return of the pulling sensation (of which (Y/n) had just now decided to describe simply as “Robby”) would have given it away. And that was the opposite of what she wanted…
“No! Moon, please! You have to get me out of here! It’s an emergency!”
Now, Moon didn’t initially look like she believed her, which caused (Y/n)’s heart to drop into her stomach. She hadn’t had time to think of the possible outcome if Robby did catch up with her. What do I say? What do I do? It was almost impossible to imagine the interaction not going horribly wrong in some way, and that only pushed (Y/n) further towards the flight side of her “fight or flight instinct.”
But, thankfully after a moment, which felt painfully more like an hour to the attempted runaway, Moon finally sighed and pulled a set of keys out of her purse.
“They’re to Hawk’s truck.” She explained, holding them out to (Y/n), but quickly pulled them back to finish her thought before the other girl could grab them. “But, you better bring it back to the dojo tomorrow, got it?” (Y/n) nodded eagerly, not caring that that meant making a pit stop at the Cobra infested place the next morning. She’d worry about that later…
“Thanks Moon, you’re a life saver! I’ll see you tomorrow!”
And off (Y/n) ran with the keys, away from the quickly escalating situation behind her, and, of course, the potential boy of her dreams…
+ + +
Robby threw another punch into the fray, but his heart just wasn’t in it. He didn’t even get her name… God, why didn’t I get her name?
The mark on his wrist felt like it was burning but Robby knew that was all just in his head. But, then again, his head was swimming with so many thoughts that he couldn’t quite pinpoint which one precisely to mentally yell at to quiet down in order to stop the phantom pains.
Someone sending a sharp kick to his side brought Robby back to the situation at hand and he glared at the Cobra who he didn’t even recognize. He figured he must be one of Hawk’s though because he knew everyone in Miyagi-Do. Robby sent a kick back, using more force than necessary, though he wasn’t about to admit the reason behind it, figuring it would be childish to say he was mad that this whole endeavor had interrupted his conversation with the girl. His soulmate…
This was so stupid. He shouldn’t be here dealing with this sh*t. He should be with her, getting to know her, falling in love, all that mushy stuff. But no. Robby was more worried about this dumb karate war. What was wrong with him?
“Robby!? Where are you going!?”
But he ignored whoever it was, not even caring enough to look back as he shoved random Cobras out of his way, charging back towards where he’d last seen her. Because he needed to see her… His soulmate…
But the table was empty, and the girl? Nowhere to be found…
Robby’s heart clenched. Where did she go? He looked around frantically, the longer he came up empty handed the more worried he became, as his thoughts ran wild with what he was going to do now. He’d never met her without a mask on. He didn’t know her name, or literally anything about her. How was he going to find her?
And then, Robby caught sight of an all too familiar green dress, and almost sighed in relief. That is, until he realized it was running, so fast you’d think she was being chased, and so far in the opposite direction…
“No! Wait!”
In any other circumstance, Robby definitely would have caught her. While she was running incredibly fast for someone in a floor length poofy dress and heels, Robby’s own dress clothes were much more equipped for the exercise. But the crowd was so big and everyone was pushing him back towards the mess he was trying to get away from, and she just kept getting further and further away.
“Stop! Please!”
But by the time Robby had finally made it through, she was gone again, though this time leaving something behind…
He kneeled down with a frown, picking up the little keychain that seemed to have fallen away from the others in her haste to leave, hope growing in his chest at the thought that maybe this could be a clue to help him find her. But then his blood ran cold as Robby read the words printed across the leather…

Robby was used to waiting. He didn’t mind it. He was used to watching the big hand of the clock turn, used to the growing disappointment, used to counting numbers in his head then losing track and starting from zero again and again.
Five times Robby waited for his father and the one time he didn’t have to.
Chapter 1: Christmas Eve Night - 5 years old
Read below or read here
Christmas Eve Night - 5 years old
The apartment is cold like always, and Robby wraps the threadbare blanket tossed on the couch around himself. It curls around his legs like a cloak and he has to carefully shuffle towards the door to prevent himself from tripping over the pool of fabric.
He sits in front of it, shivering, waiting. His breath comes out in whisps and he pretends he’s smoking like he sometimes sees the man from next door so out on the fire escape. He can hear his mother snoring loudly from her bedroom. She had downed a bottle of wine as red as blood that evening, sniffling about all the parties she was missing. How she was stuck here. With him. It made him feel sad, how she had to forgo fun to look after him, so he sat quietly at the coffee table, drawing a picture. He hoped if he made himself small enough, she’d forget he was there and be happy again.
Robby helped her to bed once she started slumping over the arm of the couch. He was an expert at this stage. At manoeuvring her taller body down the hall, removing her shoes, putting a pot next to her in case she threw up. He had tucked her in, and carefully kissed her forehead. Sometimes, if he was lucky enough and quiet enough, she did the same to him, and he liked the feeling it gave him. It made him feel important. Like he was someone special.
After his mother was safely sleeping, he began the process of setting up for his special visitor. Disposing of the wine bottle and glass, putting stale cookies and two glasses of milk on the table, putting a little bow he’d found outside on the picture. He had spilt a bit of the milk, he had to stretch up real high on the chair to get it from the fridge and it slipped from his hands. He mopped it up as best as he could, and was thankful the bang of it hitting the floor didn’t wake his mother.
With that all sorted, he sat and he waited. He had wrote a letter to Santa earlier that month, one his mother had read with screwed up eyes. She got real quiet after it, and then hugged him real tight.
“Are you sure that’s what you want?” She asked, “I can get you something else? Like a… like a toy truck or something?”
But he shook his head. He knew what he wanted.
They had no chimney, so he knew his present had to come through the front door. He wondered if Santa had a special key that opened all the doors in the world. He hoped his present wouldn’t prove difficult to deliver, technically what he asked for was awkward and huge, and part of him felt bad for asking such a big task for Santa to do. Though he did figure he had been a very good boy this year. He made his bed every morning and brushed his teeth, never complained or had a tantrum, was always perfectly polite even to some of the weirdo men his mother brought home sometimes. He deserved it, he thought.
Robby was used to waiting. He didn’t mind it. He was used to watching the big hand of the clock turn, used to the growing disappointment, used to counting numbers in his head then losing track and starting from zero again and again.
He was used to falling asleep, and waking up in the cold.
His mother gently shakes him awake Christmas morning. She is hungover, the wrinkle between her eyes a give away. His body is twisted around the blanket and his face wet, as if he’d been crying while he dreamt.
He wipes his cheeks roughly, avoids the pity in her eyes.
“Did Santa come?” He knows the answer, but still his eyes hopefully search the room.
Under the measly tree (a tiny battered plastic thing covered in tinsel) is a roughly wrapped box.
“He did,” she grins, but it’s fake because they both know it’s not what he wanted. He smiles back too, just as fake as her, another thing he’s good at.
In a few minutes, he’ll open it, and he’ll pretend to be happy with what he’s received. Then when she’s not looking, he’ll take the picture he careful drew for his dad the night before, a picture of the two of them, smiles brighter than the sun. He’ll rip it up into tiny pieces and flush it down the toilet.
If not even Santa can get his dad to visit him, then what will?

Real Life Fairytale

[Robby Keene x Female!Reader]
Synopsis: You tried so hard not to be that girl, but the more you were around him, the more you were convinced clichés could be a good thing.
WC: 712
Category: Fluff, First Kiss
Since Cobra Kai coming back later this month, here’s some fluff with the Marty Mcfly of karate.
『••✎••』
It was a typical cliché, and as much as you hated it, there was something that still pulled at you. Something that pulled you right into the arms of none other than Robby Keene.
Your relationship had been rocky at best; it had started out with him pickpocketing your purse and the two of you becoming friends because, at the time, you believed he was simply returning what you lost.
Of course, when your friendship officially became a friendship, he told you the truth and apologized. LaRusso had offered him a job, and everything he did suddenly became about changing his life and earning his place. He wanted to prove to his father that he was more than just some punk-ass kid from the wrong side of the tracks.
So, how did that bring you to where you are now? How did a guy like Robby Keene, dressed up in Marty McFly attire, become the center of your universe?
The Halloween Bash, of course.
Originally, the entire group of friends, the past feud between Robby and Miguel, had long been forgotten, so they decided to do one big group costume. Demetri thought it would be a good idea to go with the Power Rangers, which was fine, except for the fact that Eli was the only one who actually wanted to be a Ranger. Everyone else was either not impressed or completely clueless about who they were.
In the end, the group split off into their own individual costumes, and that's how you ended up with your favorite movie being used as the basis for your outfits.
It took a lot of convincing on your part. I mean, the dude looked practically identical to the real actor; he was the obvious choice. Throw a Walkman on him, and boom, the costume is perfect.
He blamed it on the hair, which it technically was. Ever since he ditched Dora's cut with Diego, he just became that geeky kid who freaked at the word 'chicken.'
And in all honesty, you truly believed he hated that word, too. Eli said it to bait him once, and he did not go down easily.
It only took you an hour to convince him, but after a while, he relented, and the costume was finalized.
So, obviously, when the two of you walked in with swag that only the 80s could pull off, you stayed for about an hour before Robby got bored and decided ice cream was the cure.
Now, the two of you were sitting on the steps of an apartment building, eating a gallon of ice cream and talking.
You swear, you didn't mean for it to happen, but the way he looked at you with those soft, blue eyes and the smile that could make a nun blush, you found yourself leaning closer.
"I had fun," he spoke quietly, his words dancing over your lips. "Even if I do look ridiculous."
You giggled. "Well, isn't that why we have Halloween? To look ridiculous?"
He shrugged and leaned closer, his eyes searching yours.
"You don't look ridiculous, though," you continued. "I think you look pretty good in a life preserver."
He grinned. "Yeah?"
It was something about the way he said that. The way you could hear the smile in his voice, but most of all, the way he looked at you when he said it. Like he was looking for permission to continue with what was already happening.
So, you answered by leaning in, connecting your lips with his, and giving him all the permission he needed.
His hands instantly flew to your hips, tugging you closer, and you found your own hands wrapping around his neck, deepening the kiss.
It was perfect, just like the movies. You regretted dressing up as Doc Brown, though. Not only was the radiation suit itchy, but you were acting like Jennifer Parker, and you didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
Still, with the white hair off and his headphones finding their home around his neck, you figured maybe you'd force him to keep that part of the costume because, the way he was looking at you, you didn't want it to end.
You were sure it wouldn't, not any time soon.

words counted: 1.200

At the back of the dojo, Robby paced restlessly, his right hand stroking his chin in a visibly failed attempt to calm his nerves.
He was still wearing a kimono, with messy hair and bandages on his eyebrows. The black highlighted his muscles, which had been worked in the fight, while the yellow of the coat of arms highlighted his hair, which was as shiny as that of a certain princess when she sang.
"Damn, damn, damn" — he repeated to himself as he walked around. Across the mat.
Sam laughed at the whole situation, finding it adorable how his friend acted under the effects of love, even though she was in the same happy situation. She was clinging to Miguel, one of his current best friends, the same one who helped Robby choose the rings he would give to the girl he was going to declare his love to at the end of the day, since Diaz, having been raised only by his mother, had a certain notion of what girls liked.
The girl took classes at night, the only time allowed by the sensei, who said that they would be simple classes, below beginner level, because according to him, "the girls didn't have any aptitude". Pathetic.
The boys never denied having a certain hatred towards Kreese's idiotic and ill-thought-out speeches, always making a point of covering their ears, humming or even running to the bathroom when the oldest began his speeches.
"Relax, you idiot!" — Diaz threw one of the foam bricks in his direction, hitting Robby's already bruised face. "She already said she loved you."
"I know, I... Ah." — he turned his body and threw himself on the floor, looking at a random stain on the ceiling of the dojo. "She said she loved me and I ran away like a coward."
"You're afraid of women." — Sam said ironically, looking at Miguel.
The blond couldn't stop laughing, escaping a little from the nervousness that was consuming him internally, leaving aside the hands that seemed to crawl like slugs.
The clock rang. It was on time. The students began to enter the dojo, while Kreese rolled his eyes in boredom and contempt, leaving the place as fast as a sprinter, making way for the night teachers, Miguel and Robby.
"Okay girls, let's warm up first, walk in circles around the dojo, then run, alternating between slow and fast." — Diaz took the lead, seeing that his friend was busy drying the newbie still confused on how to put on her belt.
Adorable.
The whole class had been hectic, as the girls had blood in their eyes, and as recent professionals, they could say that not even the most experienced boys fought dirty like the girls. In a good way, perhaps.
"Hey!" — Robby ran, almost tripping over his own feet due to fatigue. "I need to, yeah..." — He cleared his throat, looking for the words he would use, the right words so that he wouldn't come out automatically and end up saying more than he should, more or less than he feels.
"Talking to you, seriously, I need to tell you something."
She laughed. Robby's world seemed to fall apart, not in a tragic way as it seemed. She laughed tenderly, gracefully like one of the beautiful flowers in the school garden, the ones Robby steals every morning, hoping to give them to his beloved, always giving up a second before. His world fell apart, fell apart when he realized that no words would be enough to show enough.
A tightness invaded his chest, leaving him desolate for a few seconds, to the point that the girl needed to call him, say his name several times, something that gave him a certain feeling of being in heaven next to an angel, due to such a melody.
"Sweet?" — There. That speech was the one that no longer allowed Robby to hold his tongue, no longer paying attention to automatic, he just spoke and spoke, as if tomorrow no longer existed.
"I love you. And, and it hurts me every single day, the way I ran away like a coward, the regret of not having pulled you by the arms and kissed every little detail that I love so much about you, which perhaps would have been impossible, since I don't just love your exterior, but also your interior, this wonderful woman that you are, your personality, your grace and tenderness, fuck, I don't even like swear words, what did I say? But, hell, you're the woman I want to be with."
The fighter remained silent, leaving the blond distressed, breathing irregularly and sweating visibly. He was as cold as an ice cube. Daniel, who was watching through the window of the small room, could have sworn that his friend was about to faint, Johnny and he were already preparing to run in case something really happened to the boy.
"I hate you, you know?" — Finally something came out of her mouth, surprising him, not in a positive way.
"Did I do it too late? That, I mean, declare myself?"
"Yes." — He sighed, throwing his body against the other's.
Robby was confused again, what was she doing? "But I love you, I love you so much that I can't say exactly what goes on in my chest and my head, they constantly fight with me."
They both laughed, still hugging each other, enjoying the short time they had together.
"You can do what you want."
"What did I want?" — She smiled, amused by the boy's short memory, taking the lead in the action that Robby had been waiting so long to do.
The fighter put her arms around the other's neck, carefully caressing the nape of her current love's neck. The caress soon went from a simple demonstration of what was about to happen, their lips collided, the movements became loose, both guided, a beautiful fit, there were no misunderstandings, or fight for command. As I said, a fit, the perfect fit.
"I love you, Robby."
"I love you too, my princess."
I'm very happy that you enjoyed my previous fanfic! That really makes me very motivated. Oh, and I place orders! :)

One Last Spar
Pairing: Robby Keene x Fem!Reader
Word count: 864
Summary: After a long day of practice you're ready to go home before you get in trouble for being out too late, though Robby has other ideas as he tries to pull you in for one last spar.
Bingo: @eclipsingbingo with the square 'Make Me'

"Are you leaving?" Robby wondered as he saw you walking around the dojo, picking your stuff up off the floor and stuffing it into your bag. You and him were the last two in the dojo apart from his dad who was in his office trying to get some paperwork done which he normally discarded.
"Hm?" You hummed before the question registered, looking up to see your boyfriend sitting on the floor and stretching out his legs. Only recently had you started taking lessons with Robby, taking a bit of convincing before you finally relented and started training with him. Now, the two of you could always be found sparring together if you were both at the dojo, normally just messing around when you were together. "Yeah, it's starting to get late and I don't want my mum to get worried."
"I'm sure she wouldn't mind waiting a little bit longer," Robby mused as he jumped to his feet, going after you. Waiting to see what he was going to do, you allow Robby to worm your bag out of your hands, the luggage being discarded off to the side before Robby was stood before you, a soft smile on his face. "We have time for one more round."
"I don't know Robby," You muttered, unsure if this was the best idea. Knowing your mum, she would be spamming your phone soon with hundreds of messages and calls if you didn't say something soon. As you stared at Robby standing across from you, you felt your resolve slowly start to break away, though you didn't let him know that just yet. "It's going to take me a while to get home, I shouldn't waste any more time here."
"I'll drive you home," Robby quickly interjected, his mind set on the idea of one last spar.
"You don't have a licence," You point out with a deadpan, knowing where this was heading. Going to get your bag, you begin walking off the mat and towards your belongings.
"They don't have to know that," Robby said, quickly shuffling in your way to cut you off from grabbing your stuff. Instead, he scooped your hands up in his, a glowing smile on his face as he looked down on you. "Come on, this will be the last one."
"You said that last time," You said with a soft giggle and a shake of your hand, trying to move past Robby only for him to block you off again, not allowing you to get past. Your brows pinched together as you tried again to step past only for Robby to slide in your way. "Robby that's enough. I need to go so get out of my way."
"Make me," The words fell from Robby's lips, a fire in his eyes as he challenged you. Your lips thin together, eyes narrowing at Robby and for a few moments, he thought he might have pissed you off until both of your hands snap out of his, one launching up to try and hit him in the face. The actions were blocked but only by a hair, your fist inches away from his cheek. "Woah," Robby could only whisper before your other fist came hurtling towards him.
As he threw up a hand to try and block it, your attack fell short, never meeting its target as you switched strategies, instead sending your leg shooting out towards his. Colliding with his knee, knocking it back, Robby's weight buckles under him. You didn't let him fall to the ground though as you grabbed onto one of his flailing arms, yanking it towards your chest and then pivoting, shoving him to the ground away from your bag.
He didn't go down without a fight though, gripping onto your wrist as he tugged you down with him. Scrambling to find purchase, your hands land on his chest once his back hits the floor. Pushing yourself up, you try to pin his wrists down, keeping the rest of your body weight sat on his hips to try and limit his movements.
Your hands weren't quick enough though as they grabbed onto yours, easily overpowering your movement as you were flipped onto your back. A small huff forced its way out of your lips as you stared up at him, watching as his hair framed his face and he copied your earlier position, keeping you down.
"I win," Robby grinned, about to duck down and kiss you through your joint panting messes, though you didn't give him the chance, bucking your hips up and sending him launching over your head. Not expecting the movement, a startled yelp escapes his mouth as your positions once again switch.
"No," You correct, a smile of your own making its way onto your face. Robby didn't even look mad as he lay beneath you, grinning up at you with a fresh sheen of sweat coating his skin. "I win," You say before ducking down and connecting your lips.
"Hey," A voice bellowed through the dojo, making you and Robby shoot apart and turn to face the owner of it. "What have I said about making out in the dojo?"
"Dad!"

Tumblr media
(Gif not mine)

Warnings: starred out swear words, underage drinking, I think that’s it? 🤔
Pairing: Robby Keene x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
“God, why did I come to this?” (Y/n) mumbled to herself in complaint, having been watching the party-goers from where she stood by the snack table, the kids in question getting drunker and drunker as the night went on, her little group of friends among the would-be alcoholics.
(Y/n) sighed dejectedly, as she watched the punch swish around in her cup. The longer she spent at the event, the more she regretted her decision to even come in the first place. Sure Moon and Yasmine would have been mad at her for a few days for flaking out on their big night; probably ignored her for a little bit too. But, really, was one week of Yasmine worth this never ending night of torture?
“It’s not so bad, is it?” (Y/n) was so startled by the sudden voice interrupting her thoughts, she almost spilled her cup all over her dress. Though, a small part of her wished she had; for, at least then, she’d have an excuse to leave. The much larger part, however, was more curious than anything about the boy who stood before her now, the same one Hawk had, not so subtly, warned her to stay away from earlier that very evening.
“Hey…” She said slowly, her eyes wandering over his figure, shamelessly taking him in. He was much cuter up close, she noted, decked out in his striped suit and a shiny white mask that kind of reminded her of the Phantom of the Opera, while, obviously, still concealing much more of his face than she’d have liked.
He was a mystery in every sense of the word, but there was something about him, something (Y/n) couldn’t quite put her finger on. She‘d never even see his face, but it was like there was something drawing her closer, like a pull that she couldn’t explain.
“Hi.” He responded with a smirk, clearly having noticed the way she was checking him out. (Y/n)’s face flushed pink.
“Sorry, it’s just… I saw you earlier.” She tried to explain, hoping that backtracking might dig her out of the hole she’d unintentionally made for herself. “None of my friends can figure out who you are.”
“That’s the point, though. Isn’t it?” He asked, the smirk still clearly evident on his face, as he made a valid point. (Y/n) shrugged in response.
“I suppose…” There was a silence after her words, not incredibly long in any aspect, but long enough to make (Y/n) feel just the slightest bit more awkward, which she hadn’t even thought was possible until then, though certainly wasn’t keen on having been proven wrong. Thankfully, it seemed the boy was undeterred by the quiet, and broke it with the same smirk still present.
“Does “you come here often” work in this setting, or should I up my game?” He asked, causing the girl’s eyes to widen in shock. Did he just…? (Y/n) sincerely hoped she had caught herself before he’d noticed her disbelief, as she didn’t think she was prepared for another one of his knowing smirks.
“I dunno.” She mumbled, before slapping on a smirk of her own, that she prayed he couldn’t see through. “You tell me. You come here often?” She asked confidently, or, at the very least, with the most believable fake confidence she could muster up. Thankfully, his grin only widened at her words, as he chuckled.
“That was… that was good.” He replied through the laughter that had (Y/n)’s heart a fluttering mess.
“Hey, you started it.” She complained, the pink tint of her cheeks having returned tenfold. But he just chuckled again.
“Fair enough… I’m Robby.” He held his hand out for a shake. (Y/n) was just about to offer up her own in return, a response ready on her lips, before loud voices from across the room suddenly and forcefully redirected her attention.
“God, you’re such an a*shole!”
“Yeah? What are you and your Miyagi-do p*ssies gonna do about it?”
Here we go…
+ + +
Robby knew he shouldn’t have left to go talk to the mystery girl so close to midnight. With everything going on, she should have been the least of his worries. ‘Should have’ being the key here. Cause, for whatever reason, that simply wasn’t the case. For whatever reason, there he found himself, not but a foot away from her. And the clock ticking away above them.
But Robby just couldn’t help it. He’d been watching her off and on all night and she looked downright miserable. It was painfully obvious she’d come to the dance alone, but he’d at least assumed at some point she’d hang out with the friends he swore he’d seen her with earlier. But, no. Every time his eyes wandered back to the mysterious cause of his heart palpitations, she was all by herself, practically glaring at the party around her. And the collection of lavish dresses and tuxedos he recognized her pretty green one as being a part of just an hour before, now could be seen mixed in with the rest of the chaos, the emerald beauty having been left behind to fend for herself.
Now what sort of guy would he be if Robby left her to such an evening? And, god, was she even more enticing up close…
“God, you’re such an a*shole!”
“Yeah? What are you and your Miyagi-do p*ssies gonna do about it?”
Unfortunately, he had to he brought back down to earth sooner or later, and, it seemed the universe had decided for him that it would be sooner. Robby almost groaned in annoyance. He didn’t even have a chance to get her name. But he would certainly make time to get her out of there before the real fight began…
“Hey, you should-“ Robby started to say, reaching out to gently direct her away from the skirmish, but, of course, the universe had another something in mind once again. This one, however, had thoughts of the fight brewing behind them thrown haphazardly out the window.
‘October 31st 11:58pm’
And with that small tattoo, things just got a whole lot more complicated for Robby Keene…
“Robby, c’mon! It’s go time!”
He made a pained expression as he looked down at his soulmate, the poor girl seemingly still too shocked to speak. He didn’t want to leave her. Especially not now. But… his friends needed him. But, so did his soulmate…
Could this night get any worse?

you and me
word count: 4,297 pairing: robby keene x tory nichols rating: R (for triggers such as death of a parent) summary: 6x05 fix it fic. i'm sorry but i find it so hard to believe that robby does not go after tory to check on her when everyone learns about her mother. writers please, what are we doing??? notes: spoilers, obviously, for season 6. some dialogue taken directly from the show *u*
At this point in his life, Robby has gotten a pretty good sense of feeling when the other shoe is gonna drop. He’s used to disappointment, defeat, wears it like a second skin, so familiar to the sensations that he molds it to his skin, wields it like a mask so that when those feelings hit, he can convince everyone that he knows how to deal with it. He’s had plenty of practice.
His mom, his dad, Mr. LaRusso, Sam, Kenny.
While learning and mastering karate has been all about balance for him, about not feeding kindling to emotions like anger, it’s also been about acceptance. About factors, emotions and people he can’t control. Acceptance for himself, so that things in his life don’t live in those eras of disappointment and defeat.
He tries his best not to allow old patterns to drown him.
The other shoe might drop, but that doesn’t mean he has to be defined by it.
--
Robby knows better than anyone that just because you leave Cobra Kai doesn’t always mean it leaves you. There’s this wild look in the depths of his eyes sometimes that he recognizes when he looks in the mirror. Sometimes he convinces himself it’s a trick of the light, gone before he even pins it down.
There’s only a handful of people he thinks will understand that, just the nature of the beast. When you become a monster, it stays with you, lives inside of you, sometimes not as dormant as you want it to be. Just because he’s back at Miyagi-do doesn’t mean that he still doesn’t hear a snake hissing in his ear, a death rattle under his skin.
Sometimes he itches to strike first.
Nowhere does he see that same instinct like he does in Tory’s eyes.
He recognizes it like the back of his hand, it bubbles to the surface sometimes right before she throws a punch, right before she starts an argument (or finishes one).
It’s dangerous and vicious and above all, Robby knows, seductive.
There is nothing quite like the power that slithers through your veins when you embrace Cobra Kai’s model. When you live and breathe the motto. They may have taken the head off the snake, but if he’s learned anything? Cobra Kai is a living and breathing entity—through him. Tory. His dad. Hawk. Kenny. The people’s lives its touched and ruined. No matter how hard it’s buried, sometimes it comes back.
He can feel it grip the bottom of his ribcage when he thinks about second place. When he thinks about losing to Miguel to be team captain.
It’s why he’s working so hard on that acceptance part. That if he does lose, no matter how badly he wants it, he’ll swallow down the urge to do something reckless.
Which is part of the reason he almost amends to Tory what he said earlier—that even though it would be nice to be on that podium together? In front of everyone in the world to see? It doesn’t really matter to him…as long as they’re together.
Let's make a deal, no matter what, we stick together—just you and me.
Robby may not know how to wade through much as he figures out where he fits all over again, but he knows something inside of him recognizes something inside Tory. They see one another, have always seen one another, and he sometimes wonders if that’s the only thing in his life that’s real.
--
He hasn’t been able to get ahold of Tory for almost a full day and it’s at the end of school, while waiting in a park to train with her, that he really starts to worry. Calls, texts, doesn’t matter—they all go unanswered. He knows sometimes that she has her own way of doing things, of preparing, of getting in her head in order to get shit done…but with what she told him about Kreese showing up out of nowhere?
He's worried something has happened to her. He really wouldn’t put it past their old sensei to play dirty, to do something drastic. Has she been taken? Is she hurt? His blood starts to boil under his skin and echo in heartbeats in his ears as he thinks about that night they took Cobra Kai down, at seeing her hand all mangled from an ‘accident while training’.
And while he knows Kreese wasn’t directly involved with that, it’s all the same bullshit. No mercy.
He lets out a breath as her phone goes to voicemail, again.
“Hey, it’s me,” He lets out a long breath through his nose, “I dunno what’s goin’ on, but you’re worrying me.” Robby runs a hand through his hair, “I dunno whether it’s Kreese or something else but…you’re not alone. You and me, remember? Just let me know you’re okay.”
He waits like she might actually answer him before he hangs up, squeezing the phone a bit too tonight.
Robby tells himself that it’s fine, that he doesn’t have to wind himself up for no reason. She’s probably just doing her own thing, training, that she’ll call later with an apology and a request to meet up for midnight milkshakes—something that’s become quite a thing for them.
That he’ll see her tomorrow for the captain competition with a smirk on her full lips and a kiss good luck.
--
Except she doesn’t show up.
And he’s currently getting his ass handed to him because he’s distracted, glancing at the crowd like he might see her.
Robby never knew how much strength he drew from her, how much he depended on seeing her on his side, how much he ached for her nods of encouragement and cheers of excitement. He knows that the four of them are all on the same page again, all working towards the same goal, that there’s no bad blood or ill wishing.
But he’s also not blind to the fact that Sam is very much in Miguel’s corner, just as much as Robby is in Tory’s and vice versa.
He wants to be angry at her for not being here, for ignoring him, and the black shadow of a snake inside of him wants to use that anger behind his punches and barrel into Miguel with brute force and wild, wide strokes.
But deep down, he knows how much of that will be a mistake. Regardless that he’s fucking losing.
The other shoe drops that…it’s not actually anger anyways, but deep-seeded concern—that there’s a reason she’s not here. That something happened. That something is very, very wrong. And that entire emotion wells up inside his chest like the crashing wave of an ocean. It’s all he can think about, his body shaking as he pulls himself up from the mat.
Diaz, 2 points.
Robby drags his hands through his hair and glances towards the crowd, his gaze drawn to movement in the back of the dojo. Tory’s here. He draws in a sharp breath, lungs expanding, probably foolish to admit that it feels like he can actually breathe now. She’s here, she’s okay—and the thoughts of second place are brushed away with a breeze through the backyard and replaced with a singular phrase—
You and me.
The calm he feels is so stark to the panic before that he nearly smiles when Miguel throws his next kick and he blocks it effortlessly. The dance of their fighting moves is like liquid heat, something that kisses his bones and sings in his blood. The score is evened up, it’s anyone’s win.
And by anyone, he means it’s his.
Robby knows almost instantly, before he even squares off with Miguel, that he’s going to win. One look at Tory, one nod from her, and his heart slams into his ribcage.
He’s going to win, there’s no other option.
And he does.
Point. Winner.
He’s almost in a daze for a moment afterwards, he fucking won—the smile pulling his lips almost cracking his face in two.
When Robby makes it down to Tory, he can’t stop himself from reaching for her hand, their fingers interlacing as if it’s always been that way.
“Sorry I was late.” She says and Robby takes one look at her face, her eyes, before it stops him dead in his tracks.
“You came just in time,” He replies but the words aren’t registering, because he was right. Something is wrong.
It’s in the way she’s holding herself, her shoulders slipping forward, it’s in the wildness of her hair and the trembling of her fingers, it’s in the gaze that won’t look at him, eyes wide and glassy.
He knows what he’d see if her eyes met his. It’s the same look he’s seen in his own eyes in the mirror.
“Hey,” Robby says gently, moving to clasp her chin between his fingers, to force her to look at him, “What’s wrong?”
But Tory jerks back from his touch as if she’s been burned, as if she’s finally registered what he’s said. His hand drops but it doesn’t stop him from reaching for her, that same gnawing pit in his stomach beginning all over again at that look in her eyes.
“Tory,” Robby tries but she’s pulling away from him the moment his dad says LaRusso, Nichols to get up on the mat.
His mouth hangs open with unsaid words, his fingers itching to pull her down, away, to talk to him even though she’d throw fists at him the entire way.
Something catches in his chest as the fight begins and it only adds to the aching pit in his stomach that something is very wrong. Robby has watched Tory fight and train countless times, she keeps her body tight and her movements fluid, powerful punches and debilitating kicks.
But there’s too much emotion behind her draws, her footwork is messy, her arms are too wide and wild.
Her eyes are completely feral.
“Dad,” He calls out, tries to get his attention, to get them to stop, but it’s spiraling too fast, Tory advancing on Sam with her fist raised—
Until Mr. LaRusso catches her hand.
Robby lets out a haggard breath, his eyes fluttering to his sensei that he didn’t even see move up onto the mat because he couldn’t take his gaze off his girlfriend.
“The fight’s over.” He says, dropping Tory’s hand and Robby feels himself take an instinctive step towards the mat, the reckless look in her eyes nearly taking over her entire body.
“That’s not fair! That could have been a point.”
He’s not sure whether Mr. LaRusso heard him trying to call out to his dad to intervene or whether something is actually going on—there’s this expression on his sensei’s face, the same one mirrored on his wife, who’s gripping her phone so tight that her knuckles are turning white.
Robby opens his mouth to say something, to ask questions, to try and get Tory’s attention—when his girlfriend suddenly explodes when the arguing continues about her getting a fair fight.
“Because my mother died!”
He stares at her, the dojo slipping into an eerie silence, and he can feel the color draining from his face as all the pieces he was sifting through slip into place.
Holy fuck. Has she been dealing with this this entire time? Why didn’t she call him? Why didn’t she pick up his calls? Robby’s heart clenches in his chest as Tory tries to argue for her chance at this fight, the one she wants to have right the hell now, that she’s not backing down from.
The anguish is so potent he nearly chokes on it, taking a step towards her as she begins to spiral, as she realizes that she will not get what she wants here. He pushes himself up onto the mat, his hands up and in front of him, wanting to touch her but not wanting to spook her any further.
He realizes now how much she feels like a wounded animal, capable of striking out, striking first, baring her teeth. “My mom, she would have wanted this. If I don’t fight—I have to do this, I have to do this for her.”
“Tory, let’s just take a second and breathe—”
“No, Robby, no.” She chokes out.
Tory pushes everyone away, pushes him away and he can see the moment Kreese’s ugly words rear their head, spilling out of her mouth, tossing them into Mrs. LaRusso’s face about her beating her daughter, about how she’d never be first choice when it really mattered.
Second place, second place, second, second—
Robby swallows over a lump in his throat, his hands reaching for her even though she pulls away from his grasp, “Don’t touch me,” She snaps, “You want this fight to be over? Fine! It’s over.” She jumps off the mat, making a b-line for the parking lot.
“Tory, where are you going—” He calls out, her voice edging on the end of his sentence, screaming finality—I’m done.
Robby tails after her so fast that he nearly knocks Hawk over as he spills through the other members of Miyagi-do, not caring about who gets stuck in the crossfire.
“Tory!” He yells, hoping to catch up with her, praying she didn’t manage to somehow leave within those milliseconds she got away from him. He’s also praying that no one is following him, he needs to talk with her alone.
“Tory—” Robby just gets her name out of his mouth as he turns the corner before her fist is flying at his head. He ducks, barely, shifting to the right to avoid another toss of her wrist that he knows is coming.
“Leave me alone,” She spits at him, eyes like liquid fire, tears brimming the edges of her long lashes. “Go back in there, Robby.”
“No,” He says automatically, his voice calm despite the hammering in his chest. He takes a fighting stance, bringing his arms up. “Not without you.”
Robby doesn’t want to fight her but he has a feeling she’s not going to talk to him either. The last thing he’s about to let her do is leave, not how she is right now, not like this. He knows she’s not the first person to open up to someone else, no matter how close they are, but he’s not going to let her go through this alone. He doesn’t care if he has to force his way into her space, to somehow convince her that he’s not going anywhere.
She snaps another punch but it’s sloppy, he gently deflects by pushing her arm in the other direction. “You think I need you?” Tory bites, angry, so angry he feels like he can see steam coming from her ears.
But he takes none of it personally, he knows he’s not the one she’s really mad at. She can throw whatever she wants at him, he can take it.
“You want to fight someone? Fine—fight me. I know you pretend you don’t need anyone,” He tells her, blocking another hit. He’s not going to throw his own punches, just deflect hers. He dances with her in this circle, keeping his body loose, his hands low so he doesn’t do something reactive.
That seems to piss her right off, she throws a kick this time and it lands to his chest. He loses his balance for a moment, backing up into one of the old-fashioned cars Mr. LaRusso keeps outside the dojo, nearly stumbling to avoid another hit that she goes for. He ducks, reflexes fast, and her fist connects with the car window. It doesn’t break, but he hears a crack in the glass, the blood coming away on her knuckles.
She doesn’t even register the pain.
“I know because I’ve been there. I used to do the same thing. But it’s okay to need someone Tory. I’m not going anywhere.” Robby backs up, trying to give her space to move, but she’s coming at him quick—too quick, too feral, looking to hurt as she’s hurting.
He’s distracted for one moment, someone else coming out from the dojo—maybe Sam? Saying his name. Tory cracks her fist along the bottom half of his face, snapping his head to the side. He can feel the moment his teeth split open his lower lip.
And then something happens.
Robby isn’t sure what it is—whether it’s the step he stumbled back from her or the blood he wipes from his lip, but something breaks the spell holding onto Tory. She stares at him, at the cut on his lower lip, with wide, wet eyes, her fingers uncoiling from fists and dropping to her sides.
“I’m sorry,” She says in a whoosh of air, her breathing too fast.
Robby stands up straight, his arms falling as he shakes his head. “It’s okay.”
He barely gets the words out because Tory is also shaking her head, tears spilling down her cheeks, a ghostly look on her face as if she’s realized what she’s done, who she’s hurt. “I’m sorry,” She repeats, over and over, her words beginning to hiccup as she squeezes her eyes shut and tries to turn away from him.
“Hey, hey,” Robby’s voice is calm as he reaches for her, not accepting the space she’s trying to put between them. He wraps his arms around her, pulling her into his chest until she relents. He feels the moment she does, a sob slipping from her lips and practically vibrating his entire body.
He closes his eyes, burying his face in her hair, drawing one hand up to rest on the back of her head as the other smooths wide circles along her spine. When her knees give out, he gently brings them to the ground, keeping her close, pressing a long kiss to her temple as she cries.
She’s been holding this in for a while and he doesn’t try to talk, there’s nothing he can say—he just wants her to feel whatever she needs to. Tory keeps her face hidden in his shoulder, her hands gathering up the fabric of his Gi between her fingers, anchoring herself to him.
Robby glances over his shoulder, glad that the voice of the person that called out to him from the dojo is no longer there. The last thing he wants is for there to be an audience.
He draws in a short breath, threading his fingers through her hair until she pulls back to look up at him. Robby gives her the faintest smile, cupping her cheek, thumbing away a tear track.
“I’m gonna take you home.” He says softly, relieved when she doesn’t put up a fight.
Tory sniffles and nods, seeming utterly exhausted now that the adrenaline has disappeared. Her forehead droops to his shoulder and he squeezes his arms a bit tighter around her.
He meant what he said—he’s not going anywhere.
--
The apartment is unnervingly quiet when they get there. Robby’s changed out of his Gi back at the dojo and he tries to convince Tory to take a shower to soothe her muscles, to unknot some of the tension in her spine, but she outright ignores him. Instead, she makes a b-line for her bedroom to change her clothes and Robby sighs, running a hand over his face, pinching the bridge of his nose.
He's already decided that he’s spending the night here (whether she likes it or not). While he does not understand the pain of losing a parent (even though he can empathize with loss where parents are concerned in a small way), he knows that Tory is walking a very narrow emotional tightrope. He’s not going to leave her side until she’s…functioning better than he saw her today.
Until that look disappears from her eyes.
Robby opens up a few cabinets in the kitchen and checks the fridge for food, texting his dad and Mr. LaRusso so that they know he’s here, that as of right now Tory is okay, or at the very least as okay as she can be. He slips his phone into his back pocket, turning as he hears her come down the hall.
She’s changed into a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt he is ninety-five percent is his and that almost draws a small smile to tug onto his lips. She’s run a brush through her hair, washed her face, color kissing her cheeks pink. He’s never seen her look so small in all the time he’s known her and his fingers itch to gather her in his arms once again.
Tory looks up at him, swallows, “You don’t have to stay.”
Well that’s not going to happen. “You have a first-aid kit?”
She stares at him for a long moment, seeming to understand that he will fight her on this if he has to, even though he doesn’t want to. Her gaze flickers to his mouth before she pulls out the first-aid kit from under the kitchen sink and then reaches into her freezer for a frozen bag of peas.
Wrapping the bag in a washcloth, she turns to look at him, her hand tentatively reaching out to touch his cheek. He can see the remorse all over her face but Robby gently catches her wrist, squeezing the fingers of her uninjured hand,
“Don’t worry about it,” He tells her, “I’m okay. You’ve hit me harder than this before.”
That earns him a ghost of a smile and Robby smiles back, leaning forward to press a kiss to her forehead. “Go sit on the couch, I’m gonna check out your hand.”
Tory turns and does as he asks and it’s like the fight has melted right out of her, pressing her into the corner of the couch. He knows that it won’t always be like this, that the rough emotions will come and go like waves. But it’s important that she feels every single one of them and then lets them go.
Whether she knows it or not, Tory has a support system that can help her do that.
Robby opens a drawer for another washcloth, wetting it with warm water and brings the first-aid kit with him to the coffee table in front of the couch. He sits down on the edge of it, his knees bumping into hers as he reaches for her injured hand.
There’s so much he wants to say to her, words hiding underneath his tongue, and yet he doesn’t know how to say any of it. He wants to ask her why she didn’t call him, why she thought she had to go through this alone, but it doesn’t feel right for him to say it. At least not right now. The last thing he wants is for her to feel like he’s attacking her.
Robby just…he cares about her so much and it kills him to think about her in pain, shouldering all of this.
He brushes his thumbs over her knuckles, wincing just a little at the angry redness of them. Only a few cuts that aren’t even bleeding now, no glass anywhere in sight. He figured it wouldn’t be too bad but…
He gently begins cleaning her hand with the wet washcloth, ridding her skin of the dried blood. Robby knows that this is the last thing they should talk about but he also knows how Tory’s mind works, what’s plaguing her thoughts since they left Miyagi-do.
“We can talk to our senseis, reschedule that fight with Sam when you’re ready.”
Tory swallows, shaking her head, her voice is a bit hoarse, “They’ll never let me do that, not after what happened.”
Robby’s eyebrows draw together in slight concentration, “They’ll give you another shot, Tor, you deserve another shot.” He sets the washcloth down and opens up the first-aid box, resting their hands on his leg as he digs through for antiseptic. He tears open the small wipe with his teeth, a soft apology leaving his lips because he knows this will sting.
She winces when he begins cleaning her cuts, padding them dry with a cotton swab. Nothing is split open, so she doesn’t need band-aids but…he does gently wrap her hand with a thin layer of gauze.
“It’s too late for me.” She says and he hates the way her voice shakes, hates that it reaches inside his chest and squeezes.
Robby shakes his head, finishing with her hand. He lifts her knuckles to his lips, pressing a soft kiss as he wraps his fingers around hers. “It’s not too late,” He replies, “Hey,” He whispers, drawing her eyes to his, “It’s not.”
Tory bites down on her lower lip to stop it from wobbling, but he can see her eyes fill with tears again as they draw back and forth over his face, occasionally snagging on his split lip, “What am I going to do, Robby?” She chokes out and he knows they’re not talking about the Sekai Tekai anymore.
Robby cups her cheek, brushing his thumb across the bone as he holds her gaze, “Whatever it is?” He says after a moment, “We’ll figure it out together, okay? You and me.” He repeats the same phrase he told her before.
Tory sniffles, leaning back when Robby stands so he can sit next to her. He tugs her into his arms again, holding her against his body, her face tucking into the crook of his neck. He pulls a blanket down from the back of the couch to wrap around her body, his hand smoothing up and down her arm.
“Deal,” She whispers and for the first time in a long time, Robby feels himself relax.
