New RnS chapter tonight probably, after my evening calms down.

About 2, 3 hours from now probably.

So this time on my painting binge I did yet another RnS window XD

This was waaaaay too much fun to do(although it took a while, i got most of the way through Grian's world tour while painting it), and I think paints are a really great medium for this type of art.

I just really wanted to draw them dancing for a while.

I'm pleased with how the colors came out because mixing paints is not a strong suit for me.

Originally it was going to be just the one scene but the sides felt empty, so I added small bits of 2 other windows, which are supposed to depict each of them kneeling(because those very different scenes are still lodged in my brain the symbolism oh man). Helsknights's is kinda hard to see, because everything's not centered on the canvas.

Initial sketches. I don't think I was entirely sure of painting it at first when I did the little thumbnail sketch. Also sketching on a canvas(even one with a base layer of paint) is not too fun.

This is what it looked like before the lines and background. At this point I wasn't even sure if I wanted the lines, but I'm glad I did them. I did the lines with pen and taped over the finished bits before painting the border black because I do NOT trust myself to freehand those with paint.

I feel like some of the 3d form the colors gave is a bit lost with the lines, but they make it look more like a window, so I'm happy with them.

Overall, i really love how this turned out XD

- wels and helsknight had a duo gig that broke up in flames and now hk hangs around the coliseum band crowd making everyone vaguely concerned

- tanguish, one of the collesueum's stage crew, is horridly, chronically lonely. tango is the only person he’s ever had any connections with for more than like 2 weeks and tango was using tanguish as an excuse to ignore his own mental health until tanguish removed himself fully from the equation, but that leaves him lowkey homeless and without any kind of personal human contact

the tanguish and hk picture is based on a cover from TGSWI and the welsknight one is based on me wondering what instruments a two man band with wels would have for far too long

I'd wanted to do a colored picture of Tanguish(that isn't a window) for a while, and I spent maybe way too long on this but I'm super happy with how it came out. He deserves all the muffins in the world. :3
