their armor design is like an elusive beast that changes every time i get close to finding it. todays is skyward sword link flavored. also i need to add like a teeny bit more stuff but i wanted to post it neoww so yeah :)

process below the cut ^_^ .also click for better quality.

ok so first i go through my envelope of random paper stuff and glue down a bunch. also draw some random lines. i got an empty toothpaste tube this time so i used the cap to print.

then i plan out the pose. sometimes i just go for it but i wanted to plan this time.

then i like. draw the pose. i got really attatched to the sketch this time lol.

also if you ever mess up and cant erase cuz pen just glue more paper over it!!! yay!!!

then i add details

and then i color it in. i like to try and use different mediums for different parts so it stands out. i also go over outlines this time.

then i add the finishing touches 👍

I couldn’t sleep until I drew these guys (I’m learning armor be proud!!)

Prince Tanguish came to me in a dream (daydreaming at work while severely bored). I don’t know much of Royalty and all that, but I see Tanguish as something similar to an advisor to Tango? Within his council methinks. With Welsknight as Tango’s guardian. And Tanguish, instead of stealing, is constantly sneaking out of the castle (Tango makes fun of him for it and Welsknight hated him for it cuz he’d have to go looking for him if he stayed out too late, before Helsknight was appointed his guard at least). Or maybe he still steals, but it’s just small trinkets he sees? Stuff he can’t find in the castle. (Those homemade muffins were really to die for)

Helsknight didn’t want to become a personal guard, but wouldn’t deny the opportunity to annoy the hell out of Welsknight daily. I can also see Helsknight being acknowledged by the royal family by him helping Tango. Like Tango followed Tanguish when he was sneaking out, got hurt (fell when climbing down the castle walls?), and Tanguish ran into Helsknight first while looking for help [Of course Wels wouldn’t be there]. He’s a bit bristly at the beginning (the little dialogue at the beginning was one of the first things I thought of lmao) but he warms up eventually.

Anyways,, is making an art of an au of an au weird? It’s certainly was weird to type that sentence!

- wels and helsknight had a duo gig that broke up in flames and now hk hangs around the coliseum band crowd making everyone vaguely concerned

- tanguish, one of the collesueum's stage crew, is horridly, chronically lonely. tango is the only person he’s ever had any connections with for more than like 2 weeks and tango was using tanguish as an excuse to ignore his own mental health until tanguish removed himself fully from the equation, but that leaves him lowkey homeless and without any kind of personal human contact

the tanguish and hk picture is based on a cover from TGSWI and the welsknight one is based on me wondering what instruments a two man band with wels would have for far too long

this was so so fun to draw. the coloring is a bit off over the receipt and card and sticker outlines but its worth it for the vibes.

Needed to get this out of my brain. Sketchy, very sketchy, colored sketch!! Each with three colors I associate them with (I normally give Tanguish purple but I rlly wanted to give him yellow as well and wanted to stick to 3 colors so (was also gonna give Wels white so it’d be “blinding” but it was too bright imo and I wanted to keep his and Tanguish’s yellows separate so his is darker(I should’ve just done 4 colors(but then I’d have just rendered it complete and I don’t have that time(but it would’ve been fun)))))
