History will write that Egypt had Nile River and Gaza died of thirst. History will write that Saudi Arabia and UAE have oil seas, while Gaza has no fuel for an ambulance.
History will write that the Arabs have 4 million soldiers and they could not even get a single bullet into Gaza. History will write that Saudi Arabia paid billions of dollars for entertainment and parties and there was no bread and water in Gaza.
Shame on you! Shame on all those who have power but are watching silently. Shame on the rulers of this Ummah that has left Gaza on it's own. You will be accountable and questioned by your Lord. Your silence will never be forgiven! 💔

The theory of Lesley and Maud (part two.) Horsemen of the Apocalypse (does the series speak metaphorically about modern problems?) Who owns the Crown, Scales and Sword?
Tumblr media
It is necessary to read the first part.
Modern problems of the Tigris River: (as well as other great rivers)
1.The Tigris River plays a crucial role in agriculture and providing people with food. But in recent decades, the river has been drying up. This leads to a lot of troubles, including famine of the poor people. The horseman of the apocalypse Famine gets a tool - Scales. In his hands, the Scales are desecrated and become a symbol of unfair measure and restrictions.
2.There are a number of problems between countries that actively use the river. These problems require wise solutions and peace agreements. But unfortunately, the countries continue to exchange mutual accusations about the irrational use of the river. This does not solve the pressing problems, but only exacerbates the conflict. (In S1E2 shows a scene in Africa where War came - this is a real conflict problem concerning the Nile River and the inhabitants of Egypt and Ethiopia.) The Horseman of the Apocalypse War receives a Sword, in her hands the sword symbolizes the weapon of war.
3.Due to the drainage of rivers, there is a shortage of clean fresh water. In addition to drying out, there is the problem of direct pollution from coastal factories, oil refineries and landfills. Citizens have to use polluted water. Thousands of people suffer from poisoning every year. (Lesley visited Africa Nile River), and Des Moines in America (Mississippi River.) The horseman of the apocalypse Pollution gets the Crown. The desecrated crown is a symbol of unholy domination and control.
I write entertainment content, but these problems are real and their scale cannot be overestimated! Great rivers are dying from pollution, drying up and wasteful use!
4.So, after the three horsemen of the apocalypse have been defeated by the three virtues (three children), the divine weapons return to the deliveryman. He will return the items to the owner, but who is the owner and who gave the packages to Lesley? We know that the sword was lost and several persons including God and angels, asked Aziraphale about this sword. So the sword wasn't in heaven.
5.Okay, here's the classic Justice Tarot card:
Tumblr media
You can see she has Scales a Sword and a Crown. Scales in its true meaning symbolizes balance and justice. The Sword is a symbol of mind and law, it is able to separate truth from lies. The Сrown is a symbol of recognized divine authority. Is God in GO "Justice"? Or is it another character?
6.I assume Lesley will give these tools to his wife. If his wife really is the prototype of the goddess of justice. A bit of history - Initially, only Scales was associated with the goddess Maat, the goddess of justice. (She was putting a feather on the scales to weigh a human heart at the posthumous trial.) As the centuries passed, she became an independent figure and received a Sword and a blindfold (a symbol of impartiality.) In medieval Europe, she received the throne, and the blindfold was replaced by a Crown.
Here's my theory. Lesley is the spirit or prototype of the Great Divine River (Tiger, Nile, Lethe or all of them) Maud is the prototype of Matelda, the priestesses who keeps knowledge and fulfills holy vows. She is probably a goddess who acting the duties of a fair judge. Lesley and Maud are neutral characters, they don't belong to heaven or hell. I really hope they will appear in the third season. And I also hope to see a court scene in the third season. (it was a long way..)

Happy Moon Knight Thursday! Did y'all like episode 4? I sure did! I especially liked that Steven got to use his knowledge for Egyptian history and mythology! And that we got to see so many cool details and nods to said history and mythology! Which, of course, led me to do another deep dive and research into topics. Have fun with more Moon Knight rambles about the details in episode 4
Starting with: "The Eyes of Horus"
Tumblr media
First off, this scene begs the question of just how many times Steven has drawn the eye? Because his movements were smooth and that eye looked great. Now onto the eye of Horus. It stems from the conflict between Horus and his uncle Seth who were rivalling about who would be the successor to the title of "King of Gods" after Seth killed the former King, Osiris; his brother and Horus’ father. It’s one of my favourite stories and I could get into all of it, but I won’t. I'll just say that it’s both very interesting and very entertaining. During their conflict, they had a fight in which Seth took out Horus’ eyes in order to defeat him and make him unable to take the title. Now, this is where it gets interesting for the plot. Horus gets his eyes back with the help of another deity. Who that is tho is up for different interpretations and retellings of the story. Some say it was Hathor who healed him and gave him another pair of eyes. That would be a cool connection since we have met Hathors avatar! And they helped Marc and Khonshu previously. Other retellings on the other hand have Thoth replace his eyes. Thoth himself is known to be associated with the moon which would fit with, well, Moon Knight. We also see an ibis statue in the tomb later on, next to the sarcophagus, which could potentially represent Thoth as well since he is often depicted with an ibis head. In general, the eye of Horus itself represents healing and regenerative properties which is why it was chosen for the shape of the tomb, as Steven states. Additionally, the eye is connected to the moon as well. It is said that one of his eyes represents the moon and the other the sun. So we have another nod to the moon (knight). If you wanna get a nice rundown of the story, I can recommend The History of Egypt Podcast
Secondly: "The Heka Priests and a God™"
Tumblr media
Heka was the god of magic and medicine. His most devoted followers often were doctors. In the scene were the Heka priests are introduced however, we also see this drawing on the wall. There’s another god next to them and yes, i did look into who that could be for WAY too long. My conclusion is that it could be Khnum. The only thing not fitting is him being depicted with a disc above his head, yet everything else matches up. Khnum is the god of cataracts, pottery and creativity, but he started out as the guardian of the source of the Nile River. Fun Fact perhaps: The full name of Khufu, a pharao of the fourth dynasty, who commissioned the Great Pyramid of Giza (or at least is widely accepted to have done that) is Khnum-Khufwy or "Khnum is my Protector". Do with that info what you will. And lastly: "The Tomb of Alexander the Great"
Tumblr media
In general, I really loved the tomb scene. For one, because of how excited Steven is to see all the relics and then he also finds out it’s the lost tomb of Alexander the Great? That's an interesting twist! Another fun fact perhaps: the tomb and dig site in the show are in the Siwa-Desert which is also where Alexander’s tomb was supposedly found. Egyptian officials claimed to have identified his tomb at the Siwa Oasis in 2021. But from what i’ve read it’s not actually completely confirmed. Alexander having been Ammit’s avatar could even make sense if you look at his life and “accomplishments”. He started and fought many battles and wars, conquered many lands, killed many people and believed he was in the right to do so. It would fit in with what Harrow wants to do. Which is to kill people for a cause he believes to be good and righteous.
So in conclusion: I love Moon Knight and it's details

National River Day
These winding natural pathways, carving through the earth, play a vital role in sustaining diverse ecosystems and human life.
Given that rivers have been a vital part of human activity for millennia, it’s about time that these flowing bodies of water got a day where they are given the love and appreciation they deserve. National River Day is here to bring some attention to the benefits that rivers continue to offer humans and also to remind people that rivers are natural resources that need to be taken care of!
History of National River Day
Bodies of fresh waters, especially rivers, have been foundational in the development of human civilization. With the necessity for people to live very near a water source, the flow of rivers has often been one of the most important factors in determining where a family or larger community could settle. Providing a supply of steady drinking water as well as opportunities for keeping crops watered and even allowing for transportation and trade.
Sometimes quiet and sometimes ferocious, rivers offer not only sustenance for life, but they also provide opportunities for outdoor recreation. From fishing and canoeing to white-water rafting and stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), rivers can be sources of entertainment, exercise, and just a heap of good old fun! Just be sure to treat the water and the area surrounding the river with respect by protecting it from pollution and misuse.
Today, due to various issues including climate change and human interference, the water sources of the planet, including oceans, seas, lakes and rivers, are becoming compromised. Through pollution or by simply drying up, many of the world’s rivers are less healthy and less bountiful than they were even just a few years ago.
National River Day has been established to raise awareness about and show appreciation for the vital, life-giving source that rivers all over the planet!
National River Day Timeline
350 Million years ago
Oldest Known River
The Finke, in Central Australia, is believed to be the oldest river in the world.
10,000 BC
Mississippi River is formed
A very important river in the US, the Mississippi is formed when glaciers from the last Ice Age recede.
1968
Nationwide Rivers Inventory (NRI) begins
This effort to understand the ebb and flow of the rivers throughout the US comes about through the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.
1985
Big River hits Broadway
This 10x Tony award winning musical hits New York’s Broadway to tell the story of Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn.
2003
Euphrates and Tigris rivers show signs of drying up
Satellite images show some of the lowest levels in human history for these important rivers in the Middle East.
How to Celebrate National River Day
Pay some respect to the rivers of the world on this important day! In celebration of National River Day, show some love and get involved by implementing some of these ideas:
Learn About the World’s Rivers
Get excited and involved with National River Day by getting educated about some of the most interesting rivers in the world. Raise awareness for this important day by learning and sharing some fun facts in person with friends and family, or on various social media outlets.
Check out some of these fascinating facts about rivers to get started:
Found in North Africa, the Nile river is considered to be the longest river in the world, measuring more than 4,100 miles long, flowing through eleven different countries. The Amazon river comes in a close second, at 3,977 miles.
In 2007, a Slovenian born marathon swimmer, Martin Strel, swam the entire Amazon river – complete with crocodiles, piranhas and more.
Rivers that run over cliffs eventually lead to stunning waterfalls. The highest one in the world is Angel Falls in Venezuela, measuring 3,212 feet high.
Rivers not only provide sustenance for humans, but thousands of different varieties of animals, plants, and at least 10,000 different species of fish.
Organize a River Clean Up
An excellent way to get involved with National River Day would be to grab a group of friends or some members of a volunteer organization in the community and head on over to a local river to do some cleaning up. Equipped with garbage sacks, trash sticks and rubber gloves, this would be a great time for a group of folks to spend some time picking up trash, debris, and litter. This is particularly important in regards to items made of plastic that will never biodegrade and can even be poisonous to the water source and the animals that depend on it.
Watch a Movie Featuring a River
Show some love to the life-giving rivers of the world by checking out a movie or film that features one. Get started with one of these:
A River Runs Through It (1992). This one features Brad Pitt, playing the son of a rural minister (Tom Skerritt), where they spend time fly fishing on the river.
The River Wild (1994). This thriller starring Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon takes place almost entirely on a whitewater rafting river adventure.
Riverdance: The Animated Adventure (2021). Kids and adults alike will enjoy this animated film which teaches an appreciation of this dance as a celebration of life.
Green Days in the River (2014). This coming of age tale tells the story of a boy in a 1952 village who struggles with poverty, love and life.
Make Some Sustainable Water Choices
One of the best ways to get involved with National River Day might be to make some choices that will help to reduce the use of water personally and in the local area. Check out some of these important ways that households can live more sustainably and conserve water:
Install Low Flow Shower Heads. Use less water by installing modern shower heads in every bathroom in the house. It’s possible to save up to 3,000 gallons of water or more each year!
Collect Rainwater. Those folks who live in places where they need to water their garden or lawn can save on water by collecting it in a rain barrel and then using it as needed. Folks in Colorado or Utah may want to check with local legislation first to see if this is permitted.
Turn Off Faucets. Instead of letting the faucet run in the bathroom while brushing teeth or in the kitchen while walking over to the refrigerator and back, shut the water off every single time.
Save Water with Flushes. A new dual-flush toilet or a conversion kit for a current toilet allows less water to flow for flushes.
Join a Conservation Group
Many different conservation organizations are working to keep rivers clean or to clean them up after they have been polluted. They advocate with government agencies and companies to change laws that work to protect natural areas, including rivers. In honor of National River Day, join in by volunteering with a local group.
Those who feel like celebrating this unique waterways at another time of the year should look into World Rivers Day, which takes place in late September.

Top Ten Reads of 2023
Tumblr media
10. The Odyssey - Homer, trans. Emily Wilson
Wilson’s beautifully clear and compelling translation of this classic made me fall in love with the story all over again.
9. Ducks - Kate Beaton
A simple, quiet graphic memoir that depicts loneliness, sexual harassment, and the exploitation of workers without embellishment or judgement.
8. To Calais, in Ordinary Time - James Meek
So entertaining that it makes reading its pseudo-Middle English a breeze, this darkly comic story of a Medieval journey is both horrifying and touching in parts, providing a window into the foreign country of the past.
7. The Blacktongue Thief - Christopher Buehlman
Even with the perilously high stakes, this high-fantasy story about a thief finding himself caught up in world events is incredibly funny, largely due to its narrative voice. But that’s not all—underneath the jokes lies a complex and intriguing plot.
6. River of the Gods - Candice Millard
The story of the fascinating rivalry between two English explorers searching for the source of the Nile grows to encompass all the themes of Victorian-era colonial exploration.
5. The Hands of the Emperor - Victoria Goddard
The past matters just as much as the present in this high fantasy story, as Cliopher Mdang, who has been secretary to the emperor for many years, works to change the world he lives in. Relationships are the core of this story in spite of its epic scope—Cliopher’s with the emperor, with his friends, with his family, and with his homeland.
4. The Mountain in the Sea - Ray Nayler
A deeply moving story about loneliness and connection, told through a plot involving an android, sentient octopuses, AI romantic partners, hacking, and robot monks.
3. Fifth Sun - Camilla Townsend
This history of the Mexica or Aztec people made me rethink how history can be written. Townsend uses sources with as much creativity as historical analysis to create an imaginative, powerful narrative that centers the Mexica experience.
2. Piranesi - Susanna Clarke
An absolutely gorgeous novella that conjures a lovely and lonely world of a labyrinth with a single inhabitant, revealing a conspiratorial plot with perfect deliberation.
1. Boom Town - Sam Anderson
I have no interest in Oklahoma City or its history and yet this book drew me in and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. It’s not just the bizarre events it recounts—OKC’s theft of a basketball team, their founding within a single chaotic hour, the total destruction of the city’s downtown to make way for a new city that never came—it’s the way those events are told. Anderson links together the seemingly unrelated with a cohesive narrative that is as quietly tragic as it is bizarre.

Theres a movie or netflix show coming out bout cleopatra where some black(?) girl play her & now ppl coming out the woodwork left n right acting like evil blacks is taking away their heritage (& the heritage in q is one ancient queen). like omg stfuu.. cleopatra is a greek name. the ptolemys admit in their records they came from the greeks, of all of them only cleopatra spoke the ancient egyptian language. this perhaps indicates cleopatra had a mother of the ancient egyptian variety & outside the ptolemic family? facts is. the earliest ancient egyptians were “Black” in the sense of being dark skinned native africans. most people in ancient times were darker complexioned.. egypt is not only very close to the mediterranean & west asia, but is also very close to what is now deemed the sudan. theres actually more pyramids in sudan then there are in egypt. the nilotic super ethnicgroup w/ hundreds of ethnicities within r people native to the entire nile river valley… including egypt. if ur willing to acknowledge egypt is a mixed society u must also accept the presence of dark skinned africans native to the region (as well as light skinned people). but alas, the popular conception of “mixed societies” is built off the premise of eliminating dark skinned people, and the egyptian state since the 70s has tried to expel the darker skinned peoples native to the country. normal people who acknowledge the roots of ancient egypt r not tryna ‘take away modern egypt from nobody’ or claim some ancient dynasty that dont exist no more. multiple groups lived in ancient egypt just as they do in the modern egypt. but the cultural fixation on certain parts of the 1000+ yrs of the ancient egyptian civilization/s is motivated in part bc medieval arab conquerors & modern british colonialists could not believe the marvels infront of them were made & forged by africans..the obsession began w them, not black people.. the premise of this cleopatra movie reads of agitation of antiblack sentiment in nb ppl for clicks. cuz also… hollywood / netflix specifically is also an entertainment apparatus & under no obligation to educate much less tell the truth. agitation, antagonizing& polarization = more clicks, more views, more money. simply put: ancient egypt has been a contentious topic bc so many ppl r obsessed w/ the giant monuments & cant believe africans made them. there r plenty of african civilizations in the massive book of human history that r underdiscussed cuz they didnt make big stone statues n wont make hollywood or producers or wdf quick money. native black north africans + immigrants r being kicked out of north african countries for being black. and these are the real tragedies of life

@shecharm said (inbox):
the vulpine admires him quietly from where she's sat, at his side but leaned in ever slight. fingertips brushing a tuft of his hair in idle motion, toying with it before speaking up; "dear starling, tell me a secret, won't you? something exciting that nobody else knows." her head then tilts, disturbing the placement of snow white tresses only to have them cascade from her thin shoulders like makeshift waterfalls. ears flick atop her crown. "i wish to know the deepest parts of your soul, only if you would allow." silent again, as amethyst eyes meet his; a thousand stars twinkling in her gaze.
Tumblr media
THERE WAS NO COMPLAINT from the Sun King as he left Inari to her devices, quietly amused, though saying nothing to her actions as he hummed in thought. ❝A secret…?❞ And what kind of secret was she looking for? Something lacked away deep within his very being? Or something whimsical and entertaining like his desire to travel the world and see all the things he wasn’t able to in life? As much as Ozymandias crowed about his accomplishments and made himself the very center in many interactions, in truth, he was a private man at the heart of it all. He said only bits of pieces – granted others only the superficial when it came to himself. Everything only just enough to keep another content without him actually having told them much of anything at all. Oh, but he liked Inari – had enjoyed her presence from the very beginning despite her inhumanity. Then again, perhaps it was that very inhumanity that made him so prone to comfort in her presence. It was hard to say, and he never choose to sit and ponder it when there was hardly any reason to bother.
Fingers drummed softly, Ozymandias glancing to the side for a time as if digging about in his memories for something he could grant Inari to fulfill her request. Eventually gold came to settle upon her once more, lips curled into an easy, lazy smile. ❝It is ridiculous, but there was a time that, as a child, I had wondered if it was possible to tame and ride hippos. They cannot travel quickly on land, of course, but in my brilliant little mind, I had thought that we could use them like boats and that no beasts would dare disturb our voyage upon the Nile River if we were in the company of such a powerful creature.❞ He laughed, shaking his head at the very thought of it all. ❝My father had been tickled by my idea, but he told me such might was best left where it was – within the water’s depths, unbothered.❞ Ozymandias paused, his smile now a grin. ❝Be sure not to tell anyone that, Inari. It is my little secret granted to you and only you.❞
     Embarrassing, yet nostalgic.

Discover the Magic: Cruise from Cairo to Luxor on a Nile Adventure
Egypt, the land of pharaohs, pyramids, and ancient civilizations, holds an unparalleled allure for travelers seeking a journey through history. One of the most immersive ways to experience this iconic land is through a cruise from Cairo to Luxor. Traveling along the Nile River, the lifeblood of Egypt, this cruise provides not only luxurious relaxation but also a unique window into the mysteries of ancient Egyptian culture. An Egypt Nile cruise package combines stunning landscapes, opulent amenities, and excursions to some of the most significant historical sites in the world, offering an experience that’s truly unforgettable.
The Charm of Cruising the Nile River
The Nile River, stretching over 4,100 miles, is one of the longest and most historic rivers in the world. Its waters have nourished Egypt’s lands and supported its people for millennia, and today, it serves as a tranquil passage through Egypt’s vibrant history. While you can explore Egypt by car or train, a cruise allows you to drift along at a serene pace, absorbing the panoramic views of fertile landscapes, traditional villages, and impressive monuments along the banks. With an Egypt Nile cruise package, you get to savor the unique scenery while enjoying the convenience and comfort of a luxurious ship.
From Cairo to Luxor: A Route Rich in History
Starting in Cairo, Egypt’s bustling capital, and ending in Luxor, known as the “world’s greatest open-air museum,” this Nile cruise offers the best of both worlds—urban excitement and ancient wonders. Cairo provides travelers with modern amenities and access to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum, which houses a treasure trove of ancient artifacts. After exploring Cairo’s dynamic streets and famous sites, travelers embark on their cruise from Cairo to Luxor.
This journey south takes passengers through Egypt’s heartland, passing lesser-known yet enchanting sites, small villages, and stunning stretches of green countryside flanked by desert landscapes. As the cruise reaches Luxor, guests are welcomed by the grandeur of the Karnak Temple Complex, the Valley of the Kings, and Luxor Temple, making for a truly immersive historical experience.
What to Expect from an Egypt Nile Cruise Package
An Egypt Nile cruise package typically includes accommodation on a well-appointed ship, guided excursions to key historical sites, and delicious, often locally inspired cuisine. The packages are designed to ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment, often with options for both short and extended stays.
The ships themselves range from classic to ultra-modern luxury vessels, with facilities like onboard spas, swimming pools, and entertainment. Most packages include daily excursions led by experienced Egyptologists, who bring ancient history to life, explaining the significance of each monument and providing rich details about ancient Egyptian culture. This blend of leisure and learning makes a Nile cruise a perfect choice for travelers looking to both relax and explore.
Exploring the Highlights: Must-Visit Sites on the Cruise
During a cruise from Cairo to Luxor, travelers are treated to a variety of iconic landmarks that reveal the grandeur of ancient Egypt. Here’s a glimpse of some highlights:
The Temples of Karnak
Arriving in Luxor, the Karnak Temple Complex is often the first stop. Spanning over 200 acres, it is the largest temple complex in ancient Egypt, dedicated to the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Karnak's towering columns, colossal statues, and sacred lakes captivate visitors with their grandeur and scale, making it one of the most awe-inspiring sites on the cruise.
Valley of the Kings
Another highlight in Luxor is the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of many pharaohs of the New Kingdom, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. This hidden valley houses intricate tombs decorated with rich hieroglyphics and paintings that depict scenes of the pharaohs’ journeys to the afterlife. Exploring these tombs gives a rare insight into the beliefs, art, and wealth of ancient Egypt’s royalty.
Luxor Temple
Located on the east bank of the Nile, the Luxor Temple is a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture, primarily built by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II. The temple, known for its grand colonnade, was dedicated to the Theban Triad of gods. Experiencing the temple at dusk, when the structure is illuminated, is a magical moment on any Egypt Nile cruise package.
A Culinary Voyage on the Nile
An often-overlooked aspect of an Egypt Nile cruise package is the incredible culinary experience onboard. Egyptian cuisine is flavorful and diverse, influenced by Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and African culinary traditions. Fresh vegetables, legumes, herbs, and spices feature prominently, and dishes like koshari (a savory mix of rice, pasta, and lentils), falafel, and fresh fish from the Nile are common offerings. Some cruises also offer cooking classes or demonstrations, allowing travelers to learn more about Egypt's culinary heritage.
Luxurious Relaxation on the Nile
Beyond the historical excursions, a cruise from Cairo to Luxor provides ample opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation. With onboard amenities like swimming pools, spas, and sun decks, guests can unwind while watching the Nile's tranquil waters drift by. Each sunset brings a spectacular display of colors that reflect off the river, creating a perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. Whether enjoying a quiet evening on deck or sipping tea in a lounge, travelers have plenty of chances to unwind on this remarkable journey.
The Perfect Season for a Nile Cruise
Egypt’s climate is generally warm year-round, making a Nile cruise a great option in nearly any season. However, the ideal time for an Egypt Nile cruise package is between October and April, when temperatures are cooler, ranging from comfortable to mild. This period is perfect for sightseeing and enjoying outdoor excursions without the intense heat of the summer months.
