Did you know I love hats so much

I love characters with hats, I love hats irl, I want a hat collection, hats are literally so cool, I want to learn how to make hats.

I should learn how to draw hats better. Right now I hate drawing them with a passion because they're so cool to look at but angles are difficult.

talked it over with shav a couple of days ago and the conclusion we came to regarding kouchabu was:

ritsu: more likely to get mad at who they like [mao] when jealous

eichi: more likely to get mad at the other person [tomoya] when jealous

hajime: secret third thing. i feel he is more like eichi but his way of loving is already a little aggressive so i think tomoya might be a bit in trouble as well anyway

opinions on Mao and Ritsu????? (I also don't know their ship name)

ritmao/ritsumao THE SHIP EVERRRR I love them so so so much they're my fav after izuleo and I have so much to say about them..

they're best friends and have known each other since childhood, and they call eachother ricchan/maakun !! they're really close and mao was one of ritsus only friends as a child and mao is the most important person to ritsu (and vice versa tho mao is a little less obvious about it)

mao is a chronic overworker and ritsu is so so sleepy all of the time, ritsu has to get mao to take breaks and mao has to drag ritsu out of bed in the morning and sometimes carry him to school so he'll actually get up

ritsu is very clingy to mao and gets jealous easily, mao also gets jealous even tho he tries not to show it (he was jealous bc ritsu calls izumi "secchan" as a nickname and mao was like oh. you guys are close. you used to be just my ricchan...) and ritsu is like ill love every part of maakun

ritsu has referred to them as married, a couple, mao being his husband etc etc multiple times and then mao pulls the enstars typical "gay marriage isn't legal" thing. naru says she's jealous of their romance

there's also this which makes me giggle

anddd they have soooo many gay cards which I'll link in a second but this is my fav

mao fell asleep and ritsu is a) wearing maos hairclip b) holding his hand c) looking at him with the most lovestruck expression ever... band ensemble the greatest story of all time...

You know as much as I love Trickstar I'm actually very behind on reading about them. I like Subahokke, but like... I don't feel very strongly about them as a ship. I like them as individual characters and I like them together. But I haven't really read any point where a detail about their relationship slammed me in the face yet. They definitely feel very platonic to me tho. Not in the sense that I don't see them having romantic feelings for each other ever, but in the sense that I don't think either of them are interested in a romantic relationship. I think they just enjoy being together and really like each other, which in a way is the ideal kind of partnership to me.

Ritsumao... Haha... I haven't read Band Ensemble yet. So I'll see if that slams me in the face and makes me change my mind. But right now, I only ship it when it's funny. But more generally...

I don't even mean that like I hate the ship or anything. They're clearly very important to one another and very canon. But they're also both very bad at boundaries. (This seems like a knights-trickstar specialty.) Mao is very bad at setting boundaries and Ritsu is... Ritsu...

I mean I think they're still young and have plenty of time to make mistakes. So I can see them getting together and breaking up and then later getting back together again when they're more mature. But for now whenever they interact I'm simultaneously *amused chuckle* and *pained groaning* and "man I can't wait for them to break up"

here are a few things theyve said to each other

ritsu literally calls mao his HUSBAND

he gives mao playful kisses while mao is giving him a piggyback ride thats so incredibly CUTE

DO YOU SEE THIS??? they promise to always always always be together they are so important to each other THEY ARE FAMILY

ritsu has complete faith in mao always being able to find him no matter what. HISTORIANS WILL KNOW THEIR BOND AS LOVE

okay this was mostly just ritsu talking abt mao but mao also cares a huge lot abt ritsu, he becomes lonely and even a little jealous when ritsu isnt so clingy to him as usual and gets closer to other people

do i need to say anything more??? ritsu and arashi are literally talking abt ritsumao in a romantic way here (and yes when ritsu says this mao was, indeed, thinking abt him)

and of course theres this last moment of band ensemble, with ritsu holding maos hand and wearing his hair clip and looking at him so in love while mao is sleeping

and these are just a few moments i selected from the stories ive read, which arent a lot, so im sure they do have even more moments like these (and i didnt even mention their moments in the anime + movie or in !! main story either but those are also worth noting)
