आवेदक भारतीय नागरिक होना चाहिए।

सोलर पैनल लगाने के लिए उपयुक्त छत वाला घर होना चाहिए।

परिवार के पास वैध बिजली कनेक्शन होना चाहिए।

परिवार ने सौर पैनलों के लिए किसी अन्य सब्सिडी का लाभ नहीं उठाया होगा।
