The last month of the year is always full of worries, so before I drown in urgent matters, I want to give everyone a piece of holiday cheer with this Café Lot 🎅

Today, this building on Constitution Square in Kharkiv, Ukraine is part of the University of Arts. Its appearance has changed a lot since it was built, but in the Sims version you can see original appearance (as accurate as I was able to recreate).

A pastry shop opened in the building in 1900. It was the first store in Kharkiv with electric lighting. Wooden cabinets with gilding and mirrors, showcases with pyramids of candy boxes, vases and cornucopias with sweets were illuminated in the evenings by electric lamps. The luxurious decoration of the store was complemented by a workshop where candies were made in front of customers.

Next to the pastry shop you'll get cafe. In the game, this part is functional, while the shop is decorative. But if you have the Get to Work add-on, you can set up your own bakery. In addition, with the Live in Business mod from LittleMsSam, you can furnish the upper floors and live on the same lot with your business.

The hanging plant is by shakeshaft, shared at T$R.

The monstera next to the door is from Speedymaus who's content is at Blacky's Sims Zoo, but their new site doesn't seem to have this plant for some reason. So I reuploaded it and another monstera mesh from them here. If you're interested, @riekus13 has shared some recolors for them too (without meshes).

WIP: EP11 Kitbash Series

My game is in need of a funkier, more futuristic skyline. I’ll be releasing a series of items designed for recreating neighborhood deco from Sims 3: Into the Future (EA/Maxis, 2013) (and other EPs) as functional lots. This is a really fun project I came to realize was possible after seeing @somedaythesun’s awesome 3t2 building sets.

Kitbashing is combining items from multiple sources to create something “new,” and usually involves using objects in ways they weren’t originally intended.

The practice is similar to remixing images into a mosaic. Buggybooz's famous Nooks & Niches sets (2012) may fall in this category, especially when looking at the creative ways @riekus13 uses them here. Objects from the “Midnight At…” series at Blue Heaven Sims could be used this way too.

Among other things, my set(s) will mainly include lot shells – big, single-tile “pillars” you’ll be able to plop on lots. Then, build above, below, in, and around them to create useable structures. Shell challenge anyone?

Shell objects are ideal for builders for several reasons: less reliance on cheats to achieve the look you want, minimizes the risk of hitting wall/object limits, more options re: uniquely shaped buildings, cuts down on the in-game price of lots, etc.

I'm hoping this will make building a bit easier and more straight forward for those who typically don't enjoy it, and for others who want fuller modern/sci-fi hood maps.

Playing with texture/color options…a lot of the items are ideal for 3x3 (30x30 tiles) or bigger.

They’re biiiiiiig and hood visible…but still, only 1-tile for easier placement when building and better routing during gameplay.

I need to make some more adjustments so the objects align with walls and reposit items to my Repository Pack – to maximize color/texture/glass options - but these are almost ready to publish!

I recently remembered about a very old wip sitting somewhere in the depths of my computer 😅 The zip file contains recolors of wall fabrics and shields corresponding with different hoods and notable pre-made families. Part II

Another easel paint brush replacement using another Leoz94 converted object from Bioshock: Infinite. Reminder: there can be only one! This will overwrite the previous file I created in Part I.

Even though the marvelous @msbarrows abandoned us left the TS2 community over a decade ago, her lovely creations are still essential for any Victorian game. These are her Victorian textures on the painting frame as default replacements, and I sincerely cannot believe I didn't think of this sooner! The paintings featured here are from Part I. SWATCH

The Independent Expressions Inc. Easel edited to remove the paint tubes in the tray and with a dark texture replacement, then recolored using Aweeshie's volatile retexture as a base in Aelia's Eco Naturals.

The grilled cheese paintings from FreeTime replaced using 19th century artwork featuring food.

And now for the bonus goodies! This is Steffor's Fairy Easel heavily edited to remove the clutter and updated with @belladovah's edits to AnoeskaB's easels. My object will replace the original. I've also included the recolors @riekus13 did in this amazing set that inspired me to finally complete this upload.

This is Gorey's conversion of an Awesims' painting that Malle recolored ages ago that I was able to separate into two different subsets: frame and painting. (Hooray for new skills!) The file name has been changed and will overwrite the original object in the game as it has the same GUID. Frame recolors are Malle's originals with Victorian art.

A Bioshock easel converted by @leoz94, updated with BellaDovah's easel edits and adjusted to be recolorable. Lately I've been on a quest to make a lot of game conversions functional, and this object is perfect for 19th century games.

In the never-ending quest to improve old content, Maya40 at the Historical Sims Discord was kind enough to fulfill a request from me to remap Taroo's Atelier Canvases. The textures are vastly improved, and I've made additional objects with Taroo's originals. Too many paintings were used in this creation to include a swatch, but several are used in the above preview pictures. Thank you for the lovely work, Maya!

And last, but certainly not least, as I get the feeling I'll be revisiting the entire set someday, is the canvas storage object from Tinkle's The Artist set edited to have two subsets and recolored. The wooden frame is a separate subset from the paintings, and I also created a collection of those same paintings grouped together on the floor.

All files have been renamed and compressed with a collection file included. Many thanks to all the creators whose works I used in parts or whole to make this set possible and The Society Papers gang for their patience while I sorted this out! As always, feel free to use and abuse anything included in this set, and let me know of any errors. Enjoy!

Whysim's 4t2 Wildlyminiaturesandwich Hazel Overalls w Pixicat Vans

I was suggested by @themeasureofasim to age convert these overalls 4t2 by @whysim for CF, i also shoeswapped them with Pixicat's Vans (3t2 by Skeleton Tea, CF by DeeDee + textures by Riekus13 and AlwaysSims) and edited the shoulders a bit while at it. Teen mesh was originally done by @taylors-simblr here. Maxis or Smooth hands, 5k poly w Maxis hands, 10 colors, set to everyday only. AF files are required for other ages. I have also included textures in stead of a swatch and a PSD so you can customize your color combos, that's why file is big in size.

Oh we're doing a simblr gratitude day... wait what do you mean i'm a day or two late?! Hello angedemon! :-D sadly, I couldn't find anything either, the only thing I found was this download by riekus13. I also found some reblogs with dead download links (1, 2) and a link which had not been archived by wayback (x).

Does anyone seeing this have any downloads from fareastsims / far-east-sims and could re-upload for angedemon? :-)
