TLG: Someone Once Lied to Us

(EDIT: To those who have already reblogged the original version; I have added a new panel, added dialogue for said panel, and have modified some dialogue in the text for the bottom panel. Story is below:)

Panel 1: "Help! HELP!!" the felled rhino shouted. Like a certain leader of his, he tried to keep bugs away by rolling in the dirt, but made the mistake of doing so near a crater. "We are helping you." Vitani said curtly, "We're the Lion Guard." "No, you're not! You're all Outsiders trying to trick me!" "Simba let us in and accepted us. In case you haven't heard, our Guard formed to ensure our bond." Kasi clarified, having a tendency to translate Vitani's bluntness. "And now you're tricking Simba too, I want the real Lion Guard!" the rhino kicked childishly, making the crater he fell in deeper. "Unbelievable..." Imara rolled her eyes before sighing, "I'll dig him out." "You Outsiders think you can stroll into Ndefu Grove all you want, you're lucky I missed you when I charged!" "Charged?" Vitani's eyebrows flipped up, "Are... Are you the reason Laini fell out of her tree...?" "You got too close, I did what I had to do by defending myself." "By causing property damage to a district you're not even in?!" Vitani's hackles raised. This rhino was a huge hypocrite. Imara silently continued to wedge herself under the heavy pachyderm during the commotion, "Alright, on three-" "GET OFF ME, YOU LITTLE MURDER MACHINE!" the rhino screamed. Vitani's eyes widened, "Stop! You're gonna hurt-" Before Vitani knew it, Ngurumo kicked Imara hard in the shoulder, throwing her off-balance. Luckily the lioness was sturdy, and possessed a high pain tolerance. That did not stop her from scowling back in disgust for this belligerent herbivore. "HEY! What is even wrong with you, dude?!" Shabaha shouted, claws unsheathed. She leaned to her leader's ear, "Should we even let him up, or should the Circle of Life get him?" "On second thought, maybe we should." Vitani huffed, sharply turning back to Pride Rock. "But, Vitani," Kasi frowned, "we're on such thin ice already! Not one animal has accepted our help since the King left." "Because no one wants us," Vitani cut her off, "we're staying by Pride Rock until the royal family gets back. If a Pridelander comes to us with a problem, that'd be a miracle..." Vitani marched off, feeling hurt at the constant off-and-on acceptance from animals. The Guard hesitantly looked back at the pathetic rhino on the ground before following their young leader. Ngurumo would be found by other herbivores hours later, herbivores that the Guard hadn't realized had long bought into rumors started by Ngurumo after the mishap at Ndefu Grove and the following speech announcing the brief substitution of Kion's Guard in his absence. Later... Panel 2: "So... Simba's gone back to an all-lion agenda, has he?" Ngurumo scoffed, facing up at Pride Rock. "I chose who I knew were the most fit for my Guard in my eyes." Vitani explained. She straightened her posture, "And King Simba didn't appoint me, I did." "So you think lions are better over all?!" "Wha- No! We-" Ngurumo rolled his eyes as he turned to the herds. "Leave it to the self-absorbed lions to think themselves to have it all..." "What?!" Shabaha butted in, defending her lifelong friend. "This Guard is even worse than the last one! These ones don't even bother to help us!" remarked Zito. "Well you guys didn't seem to need any help, and you most certainly don't need us. So why even try?" Vitani spat, her temper being toyed with. Her remark was not received well. "So you lazy lions have really just given up? You hear that, everyone? She believes in Lions Over All, just like her mother!" Vitani's heart sank. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying not to lose her cool as the animals already expected her to become some kind of uncontrollable, feral, ravenous beast. At this point, that didn't sound like a bad idea. "Where does it say that lions are the ones who need to be in charge of us, anyway? These high and mighty felines are just trying to make their savagery law!" the rhino stomped before gesturing to his broken horn and blinded eye, "I mean, look at what happened to my face! I barely survived a violent attack from these murderers!" "You're absolutely delusional, man. That is NOT why-" Vitani sneered before her explanation became muffled by the cries of birds and various hoofed animals. Ngurumo smiled slightly, he was fueled by the crowd now. "First Kion's Lion Guard softens up our trust in these flesh-eaters by saving us and doing cutesy little chores for us and getting us to fight a war that wasn't even ours, now Simba changes his mind and enlists enforcers to warn us herds to not get too comfortable!" the rhino conspired. A flurry of concerned murmurs and cries of convinced disgust filled the crowd. Ngurumo was basically frothing from the heat of the moment, "The whole reason the Guard keeps other carnivores away is because the lions want us all to themselves! But wake up, sheeple! They're all carnivores in the end, and they'll eat every one of you! Now Simba appointed these mindless traitors of the Pridelands after letting them in like an idiot! I say we change the way things are done around here!" A roar of angered, successfully manipulated war-cries thundered across the savannah. The Guard wished they hadn't been left home alone. ___ Almost everyone Kion knew had left to attend his coronation with Rani, such as the Royal family and even most of the Pridelands' leaders. Aside from the pride's elder lionesses, Vitani and her Guard were the only pride members who stayed behind. The new (and now official) Guard made a promise to the king and queen that they would watch over the Pridelands during their travels, despite the fact that there haven't been many problems since the unification of the Pridelanders and Outsiders, until... The Guard is met with uncooperative and ungrateful Pridelanders when trying to help them, and they're baffled by the sudden change in behavior, until they're eventually met with an answer in the form of a rallied crowd of herds lined up in front of Pride Rock. An outcast member of Mbeya's crash, Ngurumo, seizes the moment of the herd leaders' temporary absences and takes matters to his own hooves. Nyumbu, leader of the Pridelands' wildebeests, is among the crowd, unsure of his old friend's agenda. He too remembers a time when he feared a lion leader, one who once forced the herds -- including the crash Ngurumo was from -- to leave the Pridelands, one who led Nyumbu and his very herd to the former king's death, taking great responsibility in accidentally trampling the noble king after he'd been thrown from a cliff. This was not the lioness temporarily in charge. All Nyumbu could see was irony in the role Ngurumo was playing, and a grave mistake for the future of the Pridelands... ___ I thought about how nearly everyone attended Kion's Coronation with the exception of Vitani's Guard and non-leader animals. I quickly assumed that she and the Guard stayed behind to watch over things. One day, I came up with the idea that Ngurumo's rise as a villain could take place at this time, furthering the tension of the plot.

The Masked Singer Season 3 Episode 13: The Battle of the Sixes (Commentary & Guesses)

Hello my Masked Singer loving friends! It’s that time of the week, time for Ana’s Masked Singer Recap. We are nearing the wire with the Masked Singer, now down to the top 6. So, ya, now the judges are like in their aha moment & they are going on the same page as me (and most of the internet as I saw from YouTube & Twitter comments), so we are going to honor the judge who got it with a trophy emoji because they deserve a trophy & a round of applause yelling FINALLYYYY YESSSS! Anyway, the guest judge for this episode was pro chef & the Simon Cowell of the culinary world (think about it, that’s a pretty accurate description for him), Mr. Gordon Ramsey, so the contestants had food clues called “Masked Munchies” which we will be talking about. Anyway, let’s get started! (Disclaimer: Spoilers ahead, proceed with caution.. don’t say I didn’t warn you)

Alright, so let’s start with the elimination/mask coming in 6th place (I kind of wanna do their places from now on) was:

THE ASTRONAUT 🥺😭

Ok, so yeah I was really upset by this one. Seriously?! He went out wayyyy too early in my opinion... his performance of Story of My Life by One Direction was amazing & it showed his vocal range, I loved it. He was one of my favorites on the show (only him & Turtle are my faves), so I am so sad to see him go. I adore him & not like just Astro but also who he is (which I knew from his first performance... actually from the promo of his first performance haha) 

Having said that (and cried a bit out of disappointment), he was revealed to be...

HUNTER FREAKING HAYES

Notice how I said freaking in between his name. It’s because I genuinely adore Hunter Hayes. I am not a country fan but I like love him. If I were older (we are 8 or 9 year apart age wise), I would 100% wanna date him, because I genuinely think he’s super cute and so talented... and did I mention that I love him? Because I do! Ok, anyways, having said that, bitch ofc I knew who he was from Day 1 baby! His voice is so distinct & the new clues gave it away as well: 

Masked Munchie: King Cake = Hunter is from Louisiana where this cake is a delicacy for celebrations

Crawfish= his hometown is the crawfish capital of the world (again I say Louisiana baby!) 

Alright, not a clue, but let’s give the 🏆to Nichole because she ended up guessing as her final guess Hunter Hayes, hallelujah! To the other judges, it was a no from me, dawg. 

Alright, so here we have it our top 5, baby! It’s not the top 5 I would’ve hoped for because Astro isn’t there, but it’s fine, I still am routing for my main man, Turtle.

Anyways, let’s look at the remaining 5 & do some commentary on their performances/reiterate why my guesses are all spot on: 

1. The Kitty 

Performance: Ok, so she sang “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” by Marilyn Monroe and I really don't think this was her best performance (not her worst either, but not her best). I was expecting more from her to be honest. It wasn’t her best in terms of vocal ability. I just don’t feel like the song fit her voice nicely or as great as others she has done in the past. I think the song choice was a bit off for me.  

Guess: Jackie Evancho  

Clues: 

Masked Munchie: Cake identified by Gordon as an Opera Cake= Jackie is known to be an opera singer 

Silver Apple= album called Songs from the Silver Screen 

Nobody gets a  🏆 because none of the panel guessed it even though Gordon Ramsey was the closest. 

2. The Rhino 

Performance: First of all, I am a bit salty that he didn’t leave so I am going to be a little more critical with him because I thought he should’ve been eliminated & not Astronaut. Ok, so he sang Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett and yes it was his best performance yet, but it doesn’t compare to the other contestants. He’s great and all but the other masks have more personality than he does and more vocal ability too. 

Guess: Barry Zito

Clues:

Masked Munchie: Spaghetti & Meatballs= reference to his last name Zito, Italian & sounds like Ziti (baked Ziti, get it?) 

Yoga clues in the package= Zito is really well known for doing yoga & meditation before and after his games.

Alright, for this one, let’s give the 🏆 to Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg for finally connecting the clues. *round of applause* 

3. The Frog 

Performance: Ok, again, I am gonna be critical, but this is mostly because I don’t like Frog and that he’s way overhyped, sorry I said it, if you like him, good for you, but no I don’t (I know a lot of people who do but I personally don’t). However, I do gotta say that this was his best performance and he did do something different which is what I wanted him to do in the previous round. He sang “Whatever it Takes” by Imagine Dragons, and it was surprisingly really good. I just, I don’t know, there isn’t any versatility in his vocal ability like some of the other contestants who can go into falsetto or a high note (or actually sing and not just rap, no shade just facts). 

Guess: Bow Wow  

Clues:

Masked Munchie: Cat Fish= someone pretended to be him on the show Catfish & also it is southern (he lives in Atlanta) 

Holding a basketball= “basketball is my favorite sport, I like the way they dribble up & down the court” 

Alright, not a clue, but let’s give the 🏆 to Robin, YESSS I am so proud, I could cry (but I won't because I saved my tears for Astronaut’s elimination, yes I am still salty). What I really liked from him getting it was that Nichole was like ya it could be Bow Wow and there are a lot of Bow Wow clues, but no it ain’t Bow Wow, it’s Omarion... really Nichole?! 

4. The Night Angel

Performance: Yeah, oh no I am going to be critical again, yikes. Yeah, she can sing and has a great voice, she sang “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles, which showcased her vocal range. I don’t know I just think that she is trying so hard to belt every note out that it’s getting repetitive. Omg, yikes I feel like I am being harsh, I swear I am not, I just don’t think this was her best performance. 

Guess: Kandi Burruss 

Clues:

Masked Munchie: Crickets on a stick = co-wrote “Bug-a-boo” by Destiny’s Child

Rotary phones in the clue package= reference to her group Xscape’s 2nd album off the hook  

Alright, not a clue, but let’s give the 🏆 to Jenny again but I am not surprised she guessed it because she kind of got it previously but second guessed herself a few times so.. I kind of believed in her. I was losing hope in Robin tbh. 

5. The Turtle 

Performance: Ok, I saved the best for last aka my favorite ever! Did I think his performance was his best one yet? No, by any means, but I was happy to see that he did choreography. I loved the dancing, he really was being competitive with Frog, which I think is super smart of him to do. The singing is amazing, like always, but it didn’t show as much of his vocal range that I know he is capable of freaking doing some beautiful falsetto and I kind of missed it a bit. However, he really did stepped it up and performed the crap out of that song, which was Stay by Alessia Cara & Zedd (not my favorite song tbh). 

Guess: Jesse McCartney  

Clues:

Masked Munchie: Chips & Apple Salsa = he is from NY aka Big Apple 

King chess piece with a heart over it= he voiced 2 characters in the popular video game Kingdom Hearts 

Stuffed Ram= he’s an Aries 

Chess game= he has a song called check mate 

Nobody gets the 🏆 because lemme reiterate this for the people who are as clueless as the judges IT IS NOT ADAM LAMBERT, THAT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE ADAM LAMBERT, ADAM LAMBERT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE A TEEN HEARTTHROB OR A BOY BANDER

The Masked Singer: S3, E15 Running Commentary

I’m watching on a delay, but as always I post before I watch any unmasking, so no spoilers, just my guesses. One celebrity will be unmasked tonight.

Frog 🐸: Frog is a father, since he was seen calling his “Little Frog”. My guess of Bow Wow does have at least one child that I know of. Bow Wow has a 9-year-old daughter (who was 8 at the time this season was taped) with a former girlfriend. I think this is Night Angel’s 👼 competition to lose, but I think Frog may have a shot at the Golden Mask.

Kitty 🐱: I still think that this is Kate Bosworth. I didn’t really see anything in the clues to convince me otherwise.

Rhino 🦏: Rhino’s clue package showed three baby rhinos, which has me convinced that it’s Barry Zito, as he has three kids. My other guess, Andy Grammer, has only two kids (one of whom was born after this season finished taping). As for the sea captain’s hat, Zito has a charity called Strikeouts for Troops, which provides support for injured military troops and their families. And while Ken Jeong was close with JAG, I’m pretty sure it’s not David James Elliott, but Zito did guest star on an episode of the show back in 2003 playing a U.S. Navy Petty Officer who faced assault charges after throwing a ball at a Marine during the annual Navy-Marine All-Star Game.

Night Angel 👼: I am still sticking with Kandi Burruss. I didn’t really see much from the clues to change my mind, although she was bandmates with one of the judges’ guesses, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, in the group Xscape.

Turtle 🐢: I saw a poster reading “Wanted: $1,999”, which made me think of the year 1999. In 1999, the group Dream Street formed, and while that band wasn’t very successful, it did jumpstart the career of Jesse McCartney, who ended up becoming Dream Street’s most successful member.

Masked Singer host Nick Cannon shocked — shocked! I say — the judges of the Fox reality show Wednesday when he announced that that night’s Super Nine double episode would be his last. As Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke had varying degrees of success trying to look surprised, Cannon suddenly shouted, “April fools!” Oh Nick Cannon, you card! Cannon’s tomfoolery was the theme of the two-hour event: Wahlberg pretended not to have shaved her armpits, Cannon tried to trick everyone into thinking his friend was guest judge Snoop Dogg, White Tiger tried to pass off what he did on stage as “singing.” Y’know, the classics. Read on for the highlights of all of the Super Nine performances. TURTLE | The shelled soloist turned in a very good rendition of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” — who else here is in love with that Whitney Houston remix? — and offered some new clues. He works out with a 40-lb. pack to prepare for wearing the costume (“That’s a quarter of my body weight”), and he is not a trained dancer. He didn’t even try to carry a tune as he performed Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy.” Ladies and gentlemen, I give you… (My guess: Former New England Patriot Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski) KITTY | It takes some big, furry ones to take on Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” but that’s just what the fancy feline did, and she did it pretty well! Her clues included: “Christmas is truly the most wonderful time of the year,” with the Tree costume from Season 2 showing up alongside her; and a shout-out to Robert Redford, who “helped me get my very first role.” (My guess: Victorious star Victoria Justice)

BANANA | Has Banana taken voice lessons during his off-weeks? Because his version of Lynard Skynard’s “Sweet Home Alabama” was objectively good. Stronger than we’ve heard him before, and with enough swagger that he really landed the dismount. (That “Banana!” with the rockstar hand? Baller.) While dropping clues, Big Yellow basically said he wasn’t a stand-up comedian, which makes me really start to think that he’s… (My guess: Poison frontman Bret Michaels) FROG | Frog could win the whole season, and it would be well-deserved: Dude knows how to entertain. He perfectly executed Kriss Kross’ “Jump,” including the miggida-miggida-miggida-mac-daddy part, which I can’t imagine was easy while heaving for breath inside a giant, foam rubber prison. His big clue? A suit of armor. (My guess: CSI: Cyber‘s Shad “Bow Wow” Moss)

NIGHT ANGEL | “I’m not just a voice. I’m a mogul,” the scary looking but beautifully voiced contender told us during her clue section. Which is awesome, but I don’t know that I would have chosen Andra Day’s “Rise Up” for this week’s selection: Night Angel’s chest voice is so rich, her head voice — which was called upon a lot in this tune — comes across as a little thin in comparison. (My guess: Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kandi Burruss) RHINO | Rhino downplayed the judges’ panel’s belief that he’s an athlete, because “music has been my passion since I was a child.” He added that he’s been on the Billboard charts and has an album. Also? “I’m not nearly as tall as you think I am.” His very ambitious choice of song, “What a Man Gotta Do” by the Jonas Brothers, was a little shaky at the start but blossomed into something pretty great. Way to stretch your boundaries, Rhino! (My guess: Former Major League Baseball player Barry Zito)

ASTRONAUT | Moon Man’s falsetto held up nicely as he performed “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley, which was a great vehicle for his smooth voice and burgeoning dance style. Also, he apparently has broken a world record at some point in his life, which plays directly into… (My guess: Singer/songwriter Hunter Hayes) THE BOTTOM THREE | White Tiger, Banana and Rhino were on the chopping block at the end of the episode. The Masked Singer’s fourth season of the American television series will premiere on Fox on September 23, 2020, following a sneak peek episode planned to air on September 13.

Nick Cannon, singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, television and radio personality Jenny McCarthy, actor and comedian Ken Jeong, and recording artist Nicole Scherzinger are all set to return for their fourth season as host and panelists. Following controversial statements made on his podcast, it was confirmed that Nick Cannon will remain as host of the show.

The Masked Singer Season 3 Episode 8: Group C Playoffs (Commentary and Guesses)

Hello my fellow Masked Singer peeps! Welcome (or welcome back) to another Masked Singer recap post with me, Ana, the girl who doesn’t shut up about this show every Wednesday it comes on for 24 hours until I do these posts. Anyways, last night was the Group C playoffs, where 5 masks compete and 1 goes home. Speaking of eliminations, let’s talk about who got eliminated this time... 

Disclaimer: There will be spoilers so don’t read if you haven’t caught up on the show. Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you.

Alright having said that, let’s jump into the recap: 

So the mask who got eliminated/revealed was (unfortunately but not surprisingly):

THE SWAN 

Alright, yeah, she isn’t the strongest singer in the group, but I honestly don’t think she should’ve left so soon. She was legit my favorite costume, even though the person isn’t my favorite. However, having said that, I was really pleasantly surprised with her performances. This time, she sang “I hate myself for loving you” and scream-professed her love for Ken, which made me change my answer to who she was from last week.

 At first I thought she was Jennifer Love Hewitt, and then, through that performance, I figured out she was.. 

Bella Thorne 

It made complete sense especially because of this new set of clues: 

Glass Dolphin= she was born and raised in Miami, FL (home of the Miami Dolphins football team) 

Men in black shaking up a drink= reference to her role on Disney Channel’s Shake it Up, which is how I know her; Made in Japan= the 2-part series finale of Shake it up 

The love for Ken= they starred in a movie called the DUFF together 

Now that we are done with that, let’s talk about the remaining still masked celebrities: 

1. Astronaut 

Performance: As I said last week, I am in love with astronaut and he is legit my favorite one in this group, I love him so much. He is such a good singer like wow his rendition of Signed, Sealed, Delivered by his dear friend (we’ll revisit this later) Stevie Wonder was so good. He was shaky last performance, but this one he regained his confidence and was a natural on that stage. He is a singer ofc, specifically I guess that he is... 

HUNTER HAYES 

I genuinely have loved Hunter and his music for a good while now (his song Invisible is one of my all time favorite songs ever), so I can recognize his voice very easily and ya the clues are pretty convincing too: 

Orion’s Belt= Orion was a hunter in greek mythology 

Balloons= featured in a tribute he did in Singapore

Hologram of himself= performed in Jimmy Kimmel Live with 4 holograms of himself playing instruments

French horn= parents’ Cajun/French ancestry allowed him to grow up singing in French and English 

“Close Friend” Stevie Wonder= has performed with him multiple times (Dancing with the Stars being a main example) 

2. Rhino

Performance: Wow, I really love the Rhino. He sang “Nice to Meet Ya” by Niall Horan and his voice was awesome. He really stumped me and was a hard one to guess, but some people on the Internet convinced me that it is: 

BARRY ZITO 

Ok, so these are the clues that convinced me that it is this former baseball player: 

“South” Sign= family moved south to Southern Cali when he was young where he developed his baseball career

Men in Black wearing huge ring= World Series ring when he played for the NY Giants 

Playing Tennis= reference to Tennessee where he started to pursue songwriting

Sandwich sliced into= one of his most used pitching styles the “Cutter Slicer” 

3. Night Angel 

Performance: As I said last week (wow this feels redundant), she is probably the strongest vocalist in this group. She has the biggest voice that can fill a room especially with this performance of Million Reasons by Lady Gaga. She is someone with a presence in the music industry, which I know is: 

KANDI BURRUSS 

To me, it’s obvious because of the clues: 

Castle + Strawberry on wall= her restaurant is in the historic Atlanta district, Castle-bury Hill 

Broken heart drawn in lipstick= studio album with Escape was called Traces of my lipstick 

Iced Tea= Atlanta (she was born in Georgia and currently still lives there) 

4. T-Rex

Performance: Ok, this performance was my least favorite, even though I love the person who is under the mask (well, who I think is under the mask, since she hasn’t been unmasked just yet). She sang Push It by Salt-n-Pepa and honestly her vocals were not great, but she made up for it in dance moves and energy. She reminds me of a younger, more eccentric version of the White Tiger. I honestly believe she might be going home next week, but I feel very confident that she is.. 

JOJO SIWA 

Obviously, my reasoning is correct because of these clues: 

Party hat on a pink globe= she has a song called Worldwide Party 

“If you dream big, your face will go everywhere and you will never be extinct.” = Dream refers to her world tour, D.R.E.A.M. and her face is everywhere in stores because of her various merchandising items 

“there were only singles and doubles of us left”= reference to Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition where she placed 5th

The Masked Singer: S3, E14 Running Commentary

It’s the Battle of the Sixes tonight. As always, I look at no spoilers before I post.

Kitty 🐱: Little Red Riding Hood and a monkey playing cymbals? Still think that this is Kate Bosworth. Her clue is a gateau opera, a type of cake. She’s either got a connection to soap operas or Phantom of the Opera. Although an opera cake could also refer to Jackie Evancho, who primarily sings classical music.

Rhino 🦏: He’s got at least two kids (he said baby rhinos, plural). I still think this is Andy Grammer. I checked his Instagram, and when this was taped his wife was pregnant with their second daughter (who was born earlier this month, after taping ended). My other guess, Barry Zito, has three kids. And the spaghetti and meatballs (a popular Italian-American dish) would make more sense with Barry Zito.

Frog 🐸: I’m still pretty sure this is Bow Wow. The number 23 featured in his clue package made me think of Michael Jordan, whose jersey number for most of his career was 23. Bow Wow was in a movie called Like Mike, whose plot involves an orphan (played by Bow Wow, who was then known as “Lil’ Bow Wow”) who gains basketball abilities after coming across a pair of Michael Jordan’s shoes.

Night Angel 👼: All signs still seem to point to Kandi Burruss. I still think she’s the front runner to win the whole thing. Her food clue is crickets? 🦗 I’m scratching my head. She was never a member of TLC, but Kandi co-wrote their hit “No Scrubs”.

Astronaut 👨‍🚀: He caught a crawfish in his clue package. My dad thinks it’s Atticus Shaffer from The Middle (he played Brick Heck). I still think it’s Hunter Hayes. Crawfish are a popular food item in Hunter’s home state of Louisiana. His food clue, the King Cake, is a popular dessert during Mardi Gras, which is a major holiday in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Turtle 🐢: The consensus seems to be Jesse McCartney. His food clue includes apple salsa, which seems to reference New York. Jesse is from Ardsley, New York, located in upstate New York, just north of New York City.
