august (8): fav (jooheon's hair colors through the eras ugh i loved working on this one!!! i rewatched soooo many monchannel eps & the ones from 2017/2018... they had me cracking up at like 3 am bc they're all so funny & I'm always missing ot7 so there's that... plus! the coloring came out so cohesive i was really happy w the outcome) + most popular (mx + wonho as text posts again another fun silly set!)

september (1): only 1 set this month :0!!! so fav + most popular was shownu wiping mayo that had fallen on hyungwon's shirt & then proceeding to lick it off his finger bc ofc no food shall be EVER be wasted in his presence!!!!!!!!)

october (7): fav (jooheon's bday set! i worked so hard on this one T___T also narrowing down my fav jooheon songs was roughhhh his music is incredible yknow?) + most popular (xiumin calling hyungwon pretty & the producer dropping some hilarious news lolllll)

Top 5 Hockey Games I’ve watched

fair warning: I don’t have a stats brain and this will be isles heavy bc I only really started watching non-isles games this year lol

1. Islanders v. Penguins, Feb 17 23*

so technically I didn’t watch this game. My family and I were driving upstate and listening to it on the radio but it was insane. Isles comeback in the third and pretty much a full on bench brawl. It was incredibly hard to follow with the just the radio bc so many people got into that fight. My dad and I ended up rewatching the third period once we got where we going just to see it and the win.

2. Islanders v. Lightning, Game 4 Eastern Conference Finals, June 19

Scraping game and a lead maintained in the last 15 seconds by the above save. My dad and I were screaming our heads off.

3. Islanders vs. Sabers, November 23, 2005

I was six at this game and it was the first game I went to after the lockout (players strike) that took up most of the previous “season.” My cousins and I made a big DiPietro sign but spelled his name wrong. It went to OT and we lost in a shootout but I remember it very fondly and I think my grandma still has the signs we made 😂.

4. Islanders vs Hurricanes, Stanley Cup Playoffs Round 1, April 21, 2023

Four minutes left in the third, score tied one and the Islanders don’t just come back, they come back roaring. Fastest four goals in playoff history. Two minutes and twenty seconds to win 5-1. Nuts

5. USA v. USSR, Olympic Medal Round 1, February 22 1980

This is only game on this list that a) I didn’t watch live and b) is not an NHL game, however, as an American hockey lover no list of top hockey games can be complete without the Miracle on Ice when the American team of college players beat the 4 time defending gold medal Soviet team during the height of the Cold War and two days (and one game against the Finns) later the American team took Gold.

Currently watching : Shadow and Bones season 2 (ep 3), Bed Friend (ep 6, Tumblr did wear me down), HIStory 3: Trapped (ep 6, it started off so well but I'm not so convinced now), Tomorrow (ep 3, need to find time to see the friend I'm watching it with), My School President (ep 8, it's cute but I don't see what the fuss is about, a bit too teenager-y for me perhaps), GAP The Series (ep 7, I guess I'm kinda stuck for some reason)

Rewatching : The Untamed (ep 21, kinda took a break from it with my roommate but we need to get back to watching) , Not Me (ep 9, my gf just found out Todd is indeed a "snake boi" and she's very happy haha), IZombie season 2 (comfort show)

Just finished : Who Rules the World (pretty good but the ending ruined it a bit by being so rushed), The End of the World with You (it was so weird I loved it), Dark season 3 (it was good but made my brain hurt, if you wanted to make a PSA against incest you didn't have to make it so complicated)

Movies recently watched : Captain Volkonogov escaped (4****), Empire of Light (4****), All the Beauty and the Bloodshed (3***) - they were all very aesthetic in their own way (+Saitankyori wa Maladie Kudokute 1*, kinda want to forget it)

On pause : RuPaul's Drag Race season 15 (ep 7), Unforgotten night (ngl I only watched it because I was horny and I gave up after a couple episodes, don't think I will start again), The office season 7 (I just watched 6 seasons in two months and I think I need a break)

To watch : Leverage (gf has gotten me hyped so we need to get to it now !), Till the End of the Moon (I'm resisting the Tumblr gifsets but for how long), Triage (just looks like a solid BL) , Je verrai toujours vos visages (French social drama about restorative justice), About Kim Sohee (Korean social drama), Burning Days (Turkish thriller/social drama, yes I have a movie type), Die Wannseekonferenz (German historical drama about the 1942 conference to settle the "Jew question"), Beau is Afraid (American drama-comedy about a man with a concussion apparently?)

Doctor Who: Arc of Infinity

I rewatched this serial on 21 April 2023. The story marks the first serial of the twentieth anniversary season, and was the first time Doctor Who celebrated such a milestone purposefully. I recall the excitement of looking forward to returning monsters and friends throughout this season. As for this tale, the best bits are those in Amsterdam, one of my favourite cities and one where I have family connections.

We begin in a dark place that is quickly revealed to be Gallifrey, which continues to look like that we first saw during The Deadly Assassin and then The Invasion of Time. Once again, dark times are afoot with traitors and plots. In the TARDIS, the Doctor and Nyssa are making repairs… until they come under threat from some astro-bobbins. They go to Gallifrey where the plotting becomes complicated until the monster is revealed.

Meanwhile in Amsterdam, two young backpackers — a Brit and an Aussie — look to find a place to doss down for the night. The Brit, Robin Stuart, is concerned about the Dutch police deporting him because he’s lost his passport… a plot line that’s once more credible with Brexit. The Aussie, Colin Frazer, becomes embroiled in the overarching plot and disappears… and then his cousin arrives, dressed as though it’s a summer holiday she’s heading to… Yes, it’s Tegan! 

It is amusing that Colin Baker plays the guard commander who really wants to kill the Doctor. It’s also neat that it’s Omega who returns in this story, since he appeared in what’s often referred to as the tenth anniversary special, The Three Doctors.

okok that's still really tight, yeah

i don't really know how long it would take someone to drink themself to death, but if william died april of 2003, then maybe sophie left him and astrid earlier in the same year? or maybe we're early enough in 2023 and sophie left late enough in 2002 that they would still consider it 20 years ago rather than 21?

that sucks, but isn't too too terrible i think. workable at least.

i know episode 7 is supposed to be near christmas, so ep8 is probably at least in january, but i dont remember if there are any other major time jumps or markers to put the finale any later than early 2023

i should be up to the s2 finale in my current rewatch of redemption within the next few days so! we'll see

ive spent the past 2 months or so doing nothing but watch leverage and think about leverage, so now im working on a timeline of events. ive seen a few others here on tumblr, but they dont all line up with each other so im dedicating way too much time to making my own

For what it's worth, given that we're talking about September 2023 - I'll gladly join you in a stacked rewatch for The 100. I've tried to rewatch in order and it's just impossible for me now, but I think the air date method is a really novel way to mix it up. Count me in! (In ten months, lol.)

I often find myself missing the ~energy of this fandom (read: exclusively that of my mutuals in my little dash <3), so if any of you joined me I'd love it! I do want to rewatch the show eventually, but like you, thinking of a regular rewatch... eh. But this way is a lot of fun and can lead to really interesting findings IMO.

(in particular, I think a rewatch of this show, knowing all I know in hindsight, it's going to make Clarke a more enjoyable protagonist for me LMAO)

The (tentative) idea would be start in October 22nd 2023 (in part so I have time after finishing stackediaries lol), with the second season's premiere. That way, we'd finish on September 30th (2024) with the proper series finale. I'm c&p how the schedule would look under the cut:
