It's more like Reverto is skeptical about superstitions and legends. Even Hunters can be narrow sighted about it. He seen how some of the guild are always iffy about Rathalos in general due to the Razewing Legend. Rider's kaiju condition could up being viewed a similar way.

Beetle - No holds barred, who would win in a fight, and how would it go down?

I already answered for Kvel and Tyr, but here's my other main bitches

Jhin or Sett: Literally not even a contest Clem cannot fight at all HKSDG he would get fucking FLATTENED

Gale: Also no contest Gevadi would beat his poor wizard ass into the ground. A lot of spells tend not to work at close range AND Gevadi has like 3x his health. Sorry baby.

Solaire: Warick I think would win because he fights with his fists and will get in too close for Solaire to be able to swing his sword or do his lightning bolts at him. Also Solaire is not sure whether Warick is undead or not so I think he would instinctively pull his punches to not Kill His Husband For Realsies

Bang: Now, Bang is a lot stronger than the games give him credit for half the time, but Ryder can summon a barrage of shotguns and turn into a werewolf so I don't think he's ready for that one

Azrael: This one is probably the most difficult because Azrael's whole deal is he's insanely cartoonishly strong and no one can beat him, but I specifically made Mephi to be his perfect match in the fighting department. I THINK Azrael would have a slightly better chance of winning because he has better control over himself in his higher power state and Mephi completely loses control and just goes crazy

Yami: Wraith has a LOT of bullshit going on with his powers but I think Yami is strong enough to beat all of it honestly. He's got the important character plot armor that lets him beat whatever the fuck.

I was gonna do the rest too but I'm lazy so speedround for my other guys F/Os that would win: Yasuo?, K'Sante, Pyke, Yamato, Baldur (unfair advantage :/), Illidan

Can we just talk about how you meet Reverto in the game btw??? Like in the anime Reverto visits their village and meets Lute ahead of time, so it kinda makes sense how he ends up in his house.

But in the game? He doesn’t know you, and you don’t know him. Did the guild just go up to him and ask “hey dude do you mind if this random child, who’s best friends with monsters, just bunks in your house for a while?” AND DID HE JUST SAY “Sure 👍” ????

Or did Lilia and Simone yap to him about the riders, and when he heard they were in the city he told the guild they could stay with him?? Cuz that’s honestly so adorable… like imagine in the game Lilia is alone in this new world and all the hunters are intimidating but then Reverto comes into Simone’s office and they just VIBE!! UHG I need more wholesome Lilia and Reverto interactions because Lilia wasn’t in MHS2 haha
