Having made it to the Dracula dialogue in Dead Cells, I love several things about it.
Prisoner still has no voice grunts, meaning Dracula is reading Prisoner's internal monologue somehow- not implausible, he is Dracula.
This apparently does not throw Prisoner, who is used to not being able to talk to people
He is THAT offended by Richter being imprisoned. he does not know who Richter is and keeps referring to him as "that blue guy" but he is furious that Dracula would imprison someone "worth saving" like that (hm, Prisoner, do you have some predictable and obvious trauma considering how many of the level flavortext talk in significant detail about prison brutality?)
Prisoner remarks he does not see himself as "much of a human anymore" suggesting he sees himself as formerly human, which makes his soliloquy in the sewers a little bit sadder.
It's very funny that Prisoner is pretty consistently shorter than any non-child humanoid he meets. I don't think he's actually under 5ft as depicted by the Everyone Is Here update, but the guy's definitely rather compact. Which makes Dracula's comment of "pick on someone your own size, or slightly bigger," when he's siccing an Elite on you very funny.

Dead Cells largest and most ambitious DLC is out now
Tumblr media
Return to Castlevania game DLC launches for Dead Cells on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. This is all due to the ongoing commitment of developers Motion Twin and Evil Empire. Available on both Steam and GOG. The latest Dead Cells adventure from Motion Twin and Evil Empire has finally arrived. Due to explore the world that inspired the hit indie roguelike in a world shattering collaboration with Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania. The ambitious DLC adds numerous new weapons, enemies, and three deadly bosses. Doing so in a bombastic and unique Castlevania mashup. The new launch trailer does not hold back. While proudly showcasing the variety and attention to detail that the Evil Empire devs put into the stunning settings of Dracula’s Castle. Each corridor, bridge, and balcony from Castlevania is carefully recreated. Doing so in the gorgeous signature art style of Dead Cells. Play as 20 (...yes, 20!) iconic characters in Return to Castlevania. This also includes Castlevania legends Richter Belmont and Alucard. Due to wield 14 brand new weapons as you take on Dracula, Medusa, and Death himself. Return to Castlevania is a massive love letter to the franchise that inspired Dead Cells. While hosting the most insane boss fight yet. Catch a glimpse of what awaits when you finally meet Dracula Beast Form. Doing so in a no-holds-barred, all-out, batshit boss fight. Good luck.
Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC - Launch Trailer
youtube
But don’t fret: that sweet, sweet loot will help unlock new abilities. All due to take on the various new challenges waiting for you. And of course, no Dead Cells DLC would be complete without the addition of a new pet. The trailer also introduces Maria Renard’s cat, which is available …somewhere… in the castle. All ready to shred your foes to death with her surprisingly powerful claws. With this power at your fingertips (or hanging out on your shoulder). In Return to Castlevania, the minions of Dracula will be dead before you can say “wall meat.” And yes, you can pet the cat. Revealing the many secrets hidden in Dracula’s Castle requires luck, skill, and patience. So keep your eyes peeled for the many Castlevania easter eggs that lie in wait. Extra secrets are hidden in the Castle. This includes the huge nostalgia bomb of Richter Mode. This is also stashed away in the gloomy halls. This Return to Castlevania unlockable mode will let players relive their experience in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Coming complete with a moveset inspired by the title. This includes all of Richter’s original, iconic attacks. Along with support for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC.
Soundtrack
Finally, behind all of that Return to Castlevania content is a soundtrack. Complete with 51 original Castlevania songs that can be played anywhere in the game. Plus 12 of the most famous tracks re-made in the style of Dead Cells for the DLC levels. The largest and most ambitious DLC to date for the 8mm+ selling roguelite. Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania hosts the ultimate blend of tests and detail. Since surprises spanning the while of Dead Cells development. Which is available to fans around the world from developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin. Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC is available on both Steam and GOG. Priced at $9.99 USD / £8.50 / 9,99€. Along with support for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Plus the game is Steam Deck Verified.

Bloody Tears Will Flow When 'Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania' in New DLC
Bloody Tears! Vampire Killer! Vampires! Whipping! Castlevania! Ah, it's been quite some time since a DLC reveal trailer even interested me. I was starting to think it just wasn't possible anymore. But then Motion Twin decided to reveal Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania with a trailer as incredible as the expansion itself will hopefully turn out.

Hot Take: The new Dead Cells paid DLC is kinda lazy.
For all the polish they put into the remixes, the new graphics, and working Castlevania weapons into the Dead Cells engine, Twin Motion sort of dropped the ball on a couple things.
Firstly, the music doesn’t seem to loop right.  I’ve seen a couple of videos and… yeah.  The music loops too early.
Secondly… the cat’s name is Byakko!  Not “Maria’s Cat”!  Byakko!!
I cannot abide by this.  Plz fix Twin Motion. Especially the second one.

While these were made to express my anguish at the amount of work I had to do during last exam season, I have some fresher news - I recently got and played the Return to Castlevania DLC and though I didn't get to see every biome yet, it's fun! forgive me if I don't comment on anything else but I was blinded by the fact that there's a cat pet in the game now <3

so fun fact the dead cells return to castlevania dlc gets a recreation of the iconic "miserable pile of secrets" dialogue and that's cool and all but the thing is the Beheaded doesn't speak ever. there is a grand total of like two-three times where he does but those require very specific circumstances and the Beheaded can very much not meet those requirements when entering that scene
this implies either one of two things:
The Beheaded has been capable of talking all this time, and instead of using his ability to speak to make any kind of attempt to communicate to anyone on the island, he saves it to tell Dracula to fuck off
There's some Garfield shit going on during that scene

A list of of the Xbox 360 DLC still up to buy in the store! Along with all delisted DLC we are aware of.
With just over a week list we've put together a quick list of every game where the DLC is still up to buy in the UK store. They may be delisted in your region however. This list was made using the all search list, which is still up at present expect it to disappear on the 29th of July.
Link here: https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-GB/Games/All?SortBy=Title&PageSize=90
Change the letters GB to the letters used for your region of the website North America is US for example.
All the games listed have at least one of their DLCs still up in the store, some DLC content may be delisted already and a few still show in the store and can't be purchased as we found out with the Map Pack for Ninety-Nine Nights II yesterday when we tried to buy it.
This is a full list and includes all games, some have the DLC on Xbox One / Series others do not. Some games like N+ and Lost Planet 2 have DLC on Xbox 360, but not in the Xbox One Store.
Some games like Fallout 2 and Star Wars The Force Unleashed have complete version. Others like Mass Effect, Borderlands 2 and Two Worlds have version with some of the DLC on disc, but not all.
I've tried to list free DLC and Compatibility Pack for games, but as I've done this in a hurry I haven't labeled them all. Hopefully I didn't miss any from the official marketplace webaite, but let me know if I did.
I've tried to list all games with their full name, but the shop's A-Z has some odd listings, something they list them by the word "the" but not others. Some games are just initials, some use the full name like Tony Clancy's etc.. others skip the author name and just use Splinter Cell.
Example Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes turns up in the C listing.
I've included a very rough list of delisted or unobtainable DLC at the bottom which is a work in progress. At some point in the future, I might try and turn this into a full list of games with DLCs.

Return to Castlevania DLC continues to prove a really funny point about Prisoner's character which is that he constantly jokes in various ways that he doesn't have standards and then keeps having reactions to things that betray he has standards.
His reaction to the blood fountain is to be immediately perturbed how many innocent lives were lost to fill a fountain with blood, which is not what a completely callous person thinks about a blood fountain. Gaining Maria's Cat as a piece of equipment requires you to come back and visit after freeing its master and giving kitty a good pat. Stealing Alucard's shield is labeled "Borrow" with this playful implication that nonetheless betrays that Prisoner DOES think something about stealing from people who are still alive and around to be annoyed about it.
