It's only 5:13am and already it's been a day. It's a reflex for me to read the nighttime shift report from work as soon as I get up and the midnight-8am report before I get onsite. I like to know what I'm walking into on a given day and if there's anything I need to deal with right away. This morning, I woke up at 3:45am because I realized I hadn't bought the rest of B's uniform supplies that I need for him to start school on Tuesday...because HOW is it already that time!? I got up and opened the shift report before I was going to panic order Target uniform stuff, and I literally did this cartoon-level double-take. I've been on the phone for the past hour dealing with that, and it's going to be crazy when I get in today and I don't know how I'm going to factor that into my day that is already completely booked. I'm tired just thinking about it. But, I got the uniforms ordered, and thank god for Target drive up.

Okay, so I've got 2 1/2 (very short) essays left to write for my World History midterm
Last night's was about how being river civilizations shaped the formation of Mesopotamia and Egypt through agriculture
I'm currently half-done with one comparing and contrasting the Mexica (specifically Aztec) and Inca empires in their time ruling before the Spanish invasions.
Then, after that, I have one about the importance of trade in the ancient world and how it helped shape empires, and another about how the Roman Republic became the Roman Empire.
We got this.
It's due at midnight, I can get this back half of the early Americas and then one of the other two hammered out in the next 3 hours before I have to go to work. After I get off (allegedly at 9), I can take out the last one in the three hours before due.
