Nimbus

Rollo could feel his patience started to end and he had to take a few deep breaths as he closed his eyes. A hand patted his shoulder as whoever it was attempted to reassure him.

"She's either in Nimbus or Verasavi, Roi du Mouchair."

Rollo tampered down his grumble and opened his eyes. "I hope so..."

"She's not there?" Ortho asks as he approaches the group.

"Sadly, no." Epel responded. "Neige said she was in Nimbus."

"Nimbus?" Idia muttered from his spot on the ground. "With those 'Teamwork makes the dreamwork' guys? Pass."

Vil walked over and nearly pulled Idia up. "Do you want Yam to go wild? He's nearing his limit."

Idia glanced over at Rollo, who had the nastiest glare as he hid his face behind his handkerchief. The tech savvy student jumps and manages to wiggle himself out of Vil's grip.

"Ortho, C'mon! Let's go get Yuu-rin before Rollo-shi sets everything on fire."

"Coming!" Ortho grabs Rollo's hand as he joins his brother.

They went through the portal with a cloud and a lighting blot etched into the emblem. Rollo nearly stumbled out of entrance as the footing beneath him became soft and cloud like. Ortho moved to help him while Idia sighed and shoved his hands into his pockets.

"Welcome to Nimbus, Rollo-shi..."

He looked up, eyes wide as he spotted nothing but clouds in front of him with the Nimbus dorm members floating in the air.

"Is this all-"

"Anti-gravity magic." Idia floated off with Ortho navigating Rollo along. "They're on clouds, so you need to be lighter than it or you go right through."

"Do you know who we're looking for?' He asked as he eventually got used to the floatiness.

"Yeah."

The older shroud brother's answers are short as they near the courtyard. There's a commotion as people are gathered around a basketball goal. Idia tries to move them past it as a name that causes him to flinch sounds out from the crowd.

"And Lute scores the final goal, winning the game!"

A student shouted and flew above the court on a pair of pale golden wings. His blond hair was tied back as the sun shone off his bronze skin.

"Beastman?" Rollo muttered to Idia.

"Fae." He responded. "That's just his Unique Magic on display like the showoff that he is."

While the others cheering for him below, his vibrant orange eyes shifted over to the NRC group and he flew over to meet them. Rollo mentally prepared himself for whatever wackiness this RSA student will have.

"You." His voice was smooth as he pointed to Rollo. "You're on Athena's phone, so you must be her boyfriend."

"Athena?" The group voiced as they fixed Lute with a set of confused stares.

"Oh, the nickname." He landed and his wings folded at his sides." Uh, Yuu! You're Yuu's boyfriend." He snapped his fingers. "Rollo, right?"

Rollo blinked in bewilderment. "Y-You know my name?"

"Yeah, totally! Once Grooves got her phone unlocked, we all saw you were on her home and lock screen and we got a little nosy." His eyes shifted to Ortho and Idia. "Shroud! Are you out here in public, with no tablet?"

"Hahahaha." Idia glared and huffed. "Aren't we funny, Lute-shi?"

Lute raised his hands up. "I don't mean anything by it. We've only ever seen the tablet or Little Ortho here."

"Hello, Lute Heights-san!" Ortho smiled. "Since you're here, have you seen where Yuu Homura-san is?"

Lute's face fell as did his wings. "I hate to say it, but I got pulled away sometime after Grooves helped her. So I don't know if she's still in the dorm or nah."

"She's not."

A new voice being heard had them all turning their heads to see someone hopping towards them. They halted at Lute's side and pulled the pair of vintage aviator goggles off their face. He looked exactly like Lute apart from the vibrant green eyes. He held out his hand to Rollo, who shook it.

"Grooves Heights, Dorm leader of Nimbus." He patted Lute on the shoulder. "Twin brother, vice dorm leader."

"I don't get a intro with my name included?" Lute nudges his brother.

"Nah." Grooves nudged him back.

"Forgive me for trying to...move things along, but did you say she wasn't here?" Rollo asked before the brothers could start anything.

"Sorry, Rollo, but yeah." Grooves rubs the back of his head. "You should be getting a text from her soon."

Right on cue, Rollo's phone chimed and he fished it our of his pocket.

Yuu: ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH, I CAN FINALLY TEXT YOU! Rolls, you doing okay? Nothing on fire?

Rollo had never typed so fast in his life.

Rollo: I'm fine, but I've been on a wild goose chase in an attempt to retrieve you from this school. As for the fire.... I am very close to setting everything ablaze.

Yuu: Yikes. Well, I'm over in Verasavi. I don't even to know where to begin what I've been through.

Rollo: We're on our way. Please do not move.

Yuu: I'll try not to.

He breathed a sigh of relief as he addressed the others. "She's in Verasavi."

Grooves grimaced a little. "Yeah, no, that makes sense. Phara probably wanted to give her the royal treatment."

"...Is he bad?"

"No, no, wouldn't hurt a fly...most of the time." He waves his hand. "He's just a little...." He looked towards his brother for help.

"He's extra. If you're ever seen any of those old fashion movies with the knight/hero, then that's how he acts."

"A knight in shining armor?" Idia raised an eyebrow. "Yuu-rin doesn't need protection, she's her own knight. Sorry, Rollo-shi."

"It's fine." He responds. "Although I wonder what he would be trying to protect her from..."

"NRC." The twins answered.

"So something the entire school has issues with?" Rollo crossed his arms. "Is this apart of the rivalry I've heard so much about?"

"Yeah." Lute nodded his head. "Others have issues. Not us tho."

"Yep! I love O-man too much to ever hate him!" Grooves wrapped an arm around Ortho's shoulder. "He's been kicking my ass lately at the card games."

"Get a better deck." Ortho teased.

Grooves fake gasped. "How dare!"

Idia interrupted. "We need to get going.... Malleus-shi needs to know where he's about to head off to."

"....M-dawg is here?" Grooves paled. "Oh Phara is gonna have a field day."

"Do you want us to escort you out?" Lute asked.

"Nah, we got it from here." Idia moved towards the entrance without another word."

"Good bye, Heights brothers!" Ortho waved as he followed Idia.

"I'll admit... I wasn't expecting this level of friendliness." Rollo adjusted them. "I've only heard mostly bad things."

"Our time in this world is short-"

"Not with us though."

"Lute." Grooves rolled his eyes. "Anyway. Our time in this world is short and I'm not gonna spend it trying to drag down others. We need some positivity in our lives."

"I see.... thank you both for your time." With that, Rollo joined the waiting Shroud brothers.

I in one of your most recent posts about the new Halloween event you said that in this event Vil actually suggests outright abandoning us?! 💀 Wtf!!?? Can you please elaborate a bit more about where he said that and the context of why he said it? I've already seen what's available of the event but I don't remember that part. Thank you for covering the events by the way as sometimes the translation is too rough to make out the story or I'm unable to finish it while in game. 🤍🩶🖤(Spooky hearts)

The scene you’re referring to is the end of 1-8 of Lost in the Book with Nightmare Before Christmas. At this point in the event, the NRC students have been sucked into the world of the storybook and have met Skully.

The group has come to the circle of holiday trees and Jade has opened the Halloween door. Skully looks inside but remarks that he cannot see the bottom. It’s then that a powerful gust of wind starts to pull him inside. As he’s falling, he grabs onto Grim’s tail for support. However, it becomes a chain of people grabbing onto others (Skully grabs Grim, Grim grabs Yuu, Yuu grabs Sebek, Sebek grabs Leona, Leona grabs Jamil) until several of us have fallen into the Halloween tree hole.

The remaining boys look at one another and debate about what they should do. After Jade notes that Yuu and the others have fallen into the tree, Vil says (rough translation): “What should we do? Leave them?” So yeah, he’s outright suggesting they abandon our asses 😭 There’s no sugarcoating it or some context that magically makes his lines any nicer.

Idia agrees with Vil to abandon us. Azul speaks up to express dissent, saying that they can put Skully, Grim, Yuu, Sebek, Leona, and Jamil in their debt if they go and rescue them. Riddle agrees with Azul because it’s the correct thing to do to find missing people, so they ultimately follow us into the tree.

I don’t think this is anything to be too startled over though?? Perhaps it doesn’t necessarily feel good to be betrayed by characters we enjoy, but it’s been pretty well-established that NRC students tend to go by the “every man for himself” mentality. Plus, the idea of NRC students being willing to throw others under the bus or abandon them if it’s convenient has definitely already happened numerous times before. (Yuu, despite being the self-insert character, is not always an exception to this.) One major example of the NRC students abandoning others is 3-15 of Glorious Masquerade (ie another Halloween event). Idia and Ruggie bring up leaving the RSA students (who sacrificed themselves so the NRC students could get away from the crimson flowers/fire lotuses) and just going home.

In GloMasq, the boys eventually decide to stick around and help out for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: Silver noting that the spread of the flowers could endanger people they care about, Azul not wanting to leave a debt unpaid + wanting to put a bunch of mages in hospital debt, and Malleus seeking revenge on Rollo.

As you can see, the majority of the reasoning offered for the NRC boys saving the day actually have quite selfish roots. Vil’s suggestion in the current Lost in the Book Event therefore isn’t out of the ordinary. He doesn’t really have anything to gain or lose from a few of us going missing. Maybe the story would be different if one of his dorm members (say, Epel) or someone he has real responsibility over went down the tree, but Vil isn’t obligated to look after us to that extent.

From time to time I see notifications with likes of my not quite au with rsa!mobs. Also considering that I liked Neigh from the very beginning and wrote fics about him, one idea came up. I will regret it very much, very much, but..

As if, now my old-new impression of the characters is like this.

Here they are from left to right:

Aro, - we'll leave the names as they were originally intended, in order to honor of the original author - the quietest and most suspicious of the three. You're walking down the street, there he is. You went into the store to buy some groceries, he's standing in front of the checkout. You went jogging in the woods, and there he is, too.

His image plays into his hands as many times as it takes. At some point, you notice him in the distance or, on the contrary, very close, it doesn't matter, and you begin to consider him part of the background. Who are you to bother him, right?

A huge miscalculation on your part. Because when he actually approaches you to talk for the first time - for any reason - you won't suspect anything strange. Hell, you've known each other for so long. Even if for most of this "time" he simply existed. He's become so integral to your life that it's strange to go shopping without seeing at least the top of his head.

As soon as he confesses, you… what are you? It's like he's become such permanent part of your life that you have been dating for a long time. You call him for help. You share with him very first breaking news. You ask him for advice. At some point, you have to wonder if you even had any friends before Aro came along.

Silver or Quicksilver, he is that very child who grew up on fairy tales about brave knights who slaying dragons and rescuing princesses. The very one who will come to sing you a serenade under your window and will dodge flying pillows of awakened ghosts along the way.

The one who will be watching you from the far end of the street, on the opposite side, and when you give in and come over to clear things up, he will drop to one knee and propose marriage right then and there. Ignoring your completely unimpressed gaze, he will look at you with his glowing, childlike eyes.

Getting rid of him is some miracle, no doubt, but you return to the dorm, and there is a pair of white doves with a wreath waiting by the door. Where did he even find them? Are there any companies that provide services of specially trained birds that deliver boxes? What do you mean, there is a whole dovecote of them in the RSA? What do you mean, you will receive flowers and gifts regardless of whether you want them or not?

As soon as you give up on trying to appeal to his working brain cells - you have already convinced yourself that he does not have any - he will jump up and start apologizing for his behavior, simultaneously adding compliments to you in his speech. At some point, you come to terms with the fact that the whole street is watching the unfolding scene. No, you are not filming a teen drama. No, you are seeing him for the first time in your life. No, he is not crazy… although, perhaps, people are right about that.

Rubbing the bridge of your nose, you slowly resigned yourself to the idea of ​​turning your dorm into a flower shop. The other students began to run away when they saw you in the hallway, as you handed out flowers to everyone you met. When you ran out of people, you went around for a second round. Then a third...

Good luck trying to explain to this RSA prince, one of the RSA princes, that things don't work like that. As you left with another bouquet, you mentally figured out who you could give it to.

Exactly, but now you are sitting in a cafe and discussing… what were you discussing?.. He has a mysterious ability to bring arguments in the most neglected cases and convince you to do what you initially did not want. After two minutes of conversation, you no longer remembered your complaints about him, as if they had not existed in the first place. All problematic issues are listened to and turn into such trifles that it is worth considering whether you were dissatisfied with something.

He is attentive, always noticing the smallest changes and reading your mood like an open book. You were thirsty, so he hands you a bottle of water. You were thinking about something sweet, what a coincidence, he has some of your favorite candies in his pocket. You seemed to want to eat a certain cuisine, and during lunch he asks if you would like to visit a cafe where it is served.

At some point, everyone starts considering you a couple long before you hear him confess. It's exactly as you wanted it, as well as it completes the picture perfectly. You tried to refuse, but the same thing happens. He turns all your negatives about the relationship into reasons why you should say yes. This doesn't obligate you to anything. You are mature understanding individuals who are taking closer look at each other. Dating someone doesn't mean that you have to spend your whole life together.

However, you get the idea that it will be impossible to break up with him.

Because I hate what twst decided to do with Skully...

I'm thinking The King of Halloween became the King of Halloween through tragedy. He got lost in the book, but completed the ending successfully and left it, where he continued his school years and possibly became a teacher. Had a son, Skully. Skully loved Halloween, despite it being not a very popular event. But something always felt like it was missing in Halloween.

It was so dark and dreary, he was certain there was something that could be done to improve it- but he just can't figure out what. And it plagues him for years, because he knows his son is being bullied at school despite his best attempts to stop it from happening- and all because of his awkwardness and obsession with Halloween. Starts trying to discuss Halloween with the rest of the staff, to try and get all the students involved and show them how fun Halloween can be.

But before his plans can be put into action, his son goes missing. What happened? The man is frantic, looking all over town, but there's no sign of him. He's completely forgotten about the book he was once sucked into, so the idea doesn't even cross his mind- but there's a terribly familiar sense of deja vu about all of this.

Yet days pass, weeks pass, and his son doesn't reappear.

After several months go by, with no luck of ever finding him, he resigns from teaching and starts traveling the world to find him. As he does so, he discovers the many different ways people celebrate Halloween in the countries he visits, and it makes him think about Skully and how badly he used to be bullied. Realizing he was making no progress in finding him and that whatever happened to Skully is probably irreversible, he returns back to Sage's Island with the knowledge he's found.

He becomes a legend on Sage's Island because of the ideas he shared with NRC and RSA and all the townsfolk. Rather than just lighting turnips to scare away evil spirits, they can carve pumpkins, and hang up colorful decorations. They can give sweets to the ghosts so they won't play tricks on them. They can put on scary costumes to scare away the evil spirits and blend in with the dead.

Due to this, Halloween becomes a beloved event on Sage's Island, and rumors of how they celebrate Halloween there spread around Twisted Wonderland. He becomes known as the Halloween King, who made Halloween a popular and beloved time of the year, all in the hopes no one else would be bullied like his beloved missing son once was.

Centuries pass.

Skully has been living in the Nightmare Before Christmas book all this time, unable to escape like his father, as he did not wish to make an exciting and colorful Halloween. He believed Halloween should remain dark and desolate and terrifying, and would always take things too far to make it so, thus resetting the story and his memory each time... until one day a bunch of students suddenly appear, with a magicless human and a talking monster cat, who help him finally reach the end.

He escapes the book, but everything is changed. The island looks different, he recognizes no one, and when he gets to the dorm he used to live in he discovers it is now rundown and abandoned, with only two living occupants and three ghosts. He is more confused than ever, but the magicless stranger seems to recognize him- and shows him the photographs they have that they took (with the Ghost Camera) when they were within the book. Slowly, the memories come back. He knows who this stranger is.

And his father, dorky and loving as he was, was gone- having died centuries ago- but became revered, leaving behind a legacy revering Halloween... and all in Skully's memory.

He's broken, and distraught, but he's not alone- though he knows that if he didn't meet the people he did who rescued him from that book and taught him how to love Halloween in all its forms, he probably would've been very annoyed with what his dad did. He's surprised to find his father's grave on Ramshackle property, but frequently visits it and tells him what happened, never knowing he had followed in his father's footsteps only to fail at where he succeeded.

When the magicless student takes him to Headmaster Crowley to re-enroll him... Headmaster Crowley nearly has a heart attack, as Skully J. Graves is the spitting image of the Halloween King- who I am going to lovingly name Jackson Graves.

Skully remembers suddenly- how his obsession with Jack Skellington began. It was because of how deeply he admired his father, who was so friendly and beloved by all, and how he wanted to be like him, and how when he first heard the story of the Pumpkin King as a child... he could easily imagine his father, who so strongly encouraged his interest with Halloween, as Jack Skellington- and latched onto that imagery tight. Perhaps being in that book for so long skewed that image even more, as he must have missed his father without ever realizing it because of the constant resets.

And now he was gone.

But, inside, he knows his father would be happy for him- as Skully finally made some friends.

Do you think any of the RSA students try to sneak into NRC just to see the human? Or are they just waiting for an opportunity like a school event?

Che'nya absolutely does, and frequently. Following the disastrous Unbirthday Party, Che'nya comes by every other day to see if the Human is around.

Some boys from Royal Sword Academy have formed a kind of Human-Watch group and plan to 'rescue' the Human, it never goes beyond talks because the threat of Malleus' rage is still too big a risk. Some from RSA fantasize about being the 'Prince' and rescuing the fair Human from the villainous Night Raven College. Others- like Neige- are waiting for the Spelldrive Tournament to see if they can get a chance to speak to the Human. Though they aren't playing, it is still a very public event and many students from RSA come along. Crowley is already upping security for the Spelldrive.

Its small and Im NOT going to focus on it much but just. Fairytale AU.

Yuu as a princess locked in a tower, RSA princes keep coming to rescue her. And she keeps turning them down because she likes the tower.

King Crowley placed her there as like an extreme form of grounding until she agrees to marry some prince she wasn't listening about. But she gets visits from various travelers, lets them stay in the tower to rest. She even has a dragon that comes visit her. (He visits her a lot actually.)

It's just this poor gaggle of princes trying to save this girl from her perilous tower and imprisonment, but she's like 'Actually can you leave? My dragon friend is coming soon and he hates it when others perceive me.'

I know it’s been a while since you wrote about it but I just thought of the utter chaos if RSA met student Yuu.

It’s bad enough when it’s an adult Ace, Eliza, and Epel teasing about how grumpy and gawkily cute student Yuu is. (Some cheek pinching is involved. Yuu will forever deny hissing like a cat in response.) It’s bad enough when Jack marvels at how light they are when he scoops them up to rescue them which results in Deuce and Sebek clamoring for a turn. It’s bad enough when a slightly taller version of Grim proclaims he’ll graciously accept the “kitten” as his minion as well.

It’s bad enough when an adult Idia arrives in response to an adult Ortho’s repeated summons, and just keeps staring at them while muttering “chibi Supervisor…” over and over.

But then there’s a burst of bright light in the center of the room, and when they peek out from behind Yuuken’s back, there’s an adult version of that guy from the VDC and his dwarf backing stars. All posing in glowing, frilly dresses. Shedding glitter everywhere.

And that guy for some reason takes one look at Yuu, has his big round brown eyes grow even bigger and rounder, and lets out a truly earsplitting squeal.

Yuu would like to go home to the universe where people don’t snatch them up without so much as a by-your-leave while babbling about how adorable they are right now, please.

As we know, NRC is on an island so it would be very easy to have a beach day

but it was still quite interesting,,,

It was so hot that day, everyone could feel themselves melting

well most ppl

some like most Scarabia and most Savanaclaw students were fine cause of where their dorms were.

Yuu was sitting right in front of a cheap desk fan with an oversized tank top that was recently given to them for the hot summer season and pj shorts

Grim was sitting in their lap, cursing his cute fluffy thick fur.

It was all peaceful for a short while

but then Floyd came bursting through the front door and just grabbed the two small beings and ran back out the door sreaming

"BEACH TIME!!!"

"Floyd, we have to make sure Yuu had a swimsuit."

Floyd groaned at his brother's reminder and the two walked back inside and into their room, Floyd plopped the two down on the bed and began looking in the doors.

"What the heck in happening!??!?!" Grim shouted at the twins

"Ah, we're having a beach day, didn't you hear Floyd?"

Before any more questions could be asked, Floyd exclaimed in excitement that he had found the swimsuit Yuu had gotten from Kalim

then the twins took Yuu and Grim all the way across Sage Island to a nice beach a little ways away from RSA

when they got there, Azul was already waiting with Kalim and Jamil and a feast

Azul told Jamil abt the lil outing while in Kalims ear shot and he insisted on them coming and having a party

Without even giving them a chance to do a damn thing, Floyd dove into the water with Yuu in his arms Grim was able to squirm out to get to the food

Yuu instantly started panicking, cause ya know

cant swim

but luck for them Jade came to the rescue with arm floaties and a donut floatie for Yuu to sit in

but after that it was a lovely day

some other ppl came and swam with them

mostly the Adeuce duo and the tweels.

After a long time of swimming, Jamil called them all in to have lunch

Yuu ate almost a while watermelon in a contest with Grim, which didn't end well

Yuu threw up-

Jamil, Riddle and Trey refused to let them back into the water after that

and Grim got in trouble

so for the rest of the day Yuu played on the beach with the first years, sunbathed with Vil, napped with Leona, and collected shelled and cool rocks with Epel, Deuce, Ruggie, and Malleus and sometimes Lilia

At the end of the day little Yuu passed out while watching the sunset and was carried home by Riddle and Trey who insisted on taking Yuu and Grim home

They tucked them both into bed and stayed the night on the sofa to make sure everything was alright

like responsible the parents they are.

SUMMARY: Ace and Deuce, with a hint from Cater and financially support from Kalim, gave you a costume made Grim onesie. And decided to throw a surprise (to only you) onesie party at Ramshackle Dorm and invite all the students you knew. Onesies were the mandatory dress code!

🦈 5 LOVE LANGUAGES

SUMMARY: A person doesn’t just have one love language, but these are the ones I think would be the most predominant in each of them. In Ortho’s case, at least, this is platonic.

SUMMARY: What would your first date with him be like? I know first dates might not go so well, but let’s pretend these are different. ;)

Bored and haven't posted about my TWSTery Dungeon au in a hot minute. And since my art blog is where it all gets posted, that's why I'm using this blog and not my main. I think. It'd be fun to dump bits n pieces of lore in intervals so I give to you...

TWSTERY DUNGEON AU LORE

Pt 1: Prologue Synopsis (As it relates to, shocker, the prologue of twisted wonderland.)

In this au, much like the canon of both games, Yuu/The protagonist is a human from another world who has been isekaid. Except instead of being teleported to a magical school, Yuu has been transformed into... A pokemon! (my own Yuu, Yuna, was originally going to be turned into an Alolan Vulpix, but I've recently considered Sobble as an alternative. Point here is, if people are interested in this AU, Yuu can be whatever the fuck you want them to be)

They find themselves in a dungeon in the middle of nowhere before encountering a peculiar Purrloin (Grim), who got lost in the dungeon while searching for members to form a rescue team with him.

The duo navigate the dungeon, and as they near the exit, they run into a rampaging Carkol with an odd appearance, only to be saved by a Corviknight, who, in all of his graciousness, brings the duo to Sage Town, which is a small town that’s home to two major rescue team guilds; Dayblade, run by a powerful pokemon known as Alakazam (RSA, Ambrose LXIII), and Nightwing (NRC), run by none other than Corviknight himself.

After learning that Yuu and Grim have nowhere to stay, Corviknight, being the gracious bird he is, allows the duo to stay with the Nightwing Guild for the time being, not as a rescue team, but as a basic custodial staff to help out keeping the place functional.

Shortly thereafter, some rookie members of one of the rescue teams, Team Heart, are reported missing on a mission to replace an item that they broke in an argument. With most of the other teams busy or otherwise unable to go on a mission, Yuu and Grim (read: mainly Grim, in an attempt to prove himself) decide to enter a dungeon (which happens to be the same one they were rescued from) in order to find the rookies, Floragato and Combusken (Ace and Deuce, respectively).

Getting to the end of the dungeon, the duo finds the rookies hiding from the same Pokemon that had attacked them the other day. The four decide that there’s strength in numbers and that as a group they could probably take on the boss pokemon, which they do, although barely, and not without a lot of injury.

After returning to the guild, Corviknight is shocked and upset about Yuu and Grim leaving on their own without permission, as mystery dungeons are dangerous, BUT he's also relieved to have the two rookies back in one piece and can’t help but admit the bravery and capability that the main duo has shown. As a result, he allows for Yuu and Grim to form their own rescue team.

Idk if anyone would be interested in learning more about this AU atp aside from the few designs I've posted (which... Lowkey I want to redo the references for bc I'm not a fan of them rn) but if you are? Pls do ask me about it Ive had this fuckin au in my brain for like. Two years or so now?

Before anyone even had the ability to ask what happened, Leona shuts them all up.

"She's not there, she's in Aqualetta."

Floyd let out a loud groan. "I don't wanna go there!"

Jade fought to keep his face neutral while Azul adjusted his glasses to hide his grimace.

"Of all the places to be..." He muttered and made his way towards the doorway with a emblem of a singing mermaid on it. "If we're lucky, she'll be in here. Jade, Floyd, and you too, Rollo-san."

Floyd basically dragged his feet as they entered the portal. The sound of seagulls calling and a warm sea breeze hit Rollo as they appeared in the entrance of the dorm. A seaside "town" surrounded the portal and Rollo could see several Aqualetta members milling about in the town square.

"Welcome to Aqualette. Now let's go before they spot us."

Rollo turned his head to see the trio already making their way towards the castle like structure ahead. He quickly followed them as they decided down the white stairs.

"Ahhhhh~" Floyd placed his arms behind his head and turned to look at Rollo. "Why didn't you keep an eye out for Shrimpy, Snapping Turtle?"

Rollo semi-glared at him. "If you recall, I was busying continuing with my community service. I didn't have a chance to call and ask where she was."

"Mmmm, sounds like an excuse."

"You-"

"Now, now." Jade interrupted. "We all know Miss Yuu is quite hard to get a hold of. So it only makes sense that he would lose her."

Rollo bristled. "You nefarious-"

"I don't need my headache to morph into a migraine." Azul sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "So, please settle down."

"Alright/Yes, Azul."

They reached the end of the steps and spotted a red haired man talking to a long haired man with light brown skin.

"Oh, there they are!" The long haired man waved to them. "Hello!"

The group paused as the red head turned to face them with shining aqua-blue eyes and a wide smile. Immediately, Rollo saw the three of them flinch and their shoulders drop as the red head approached them.

"Azul! Oh, it's actually you!"

"Hello, Rielle..."

Rielle circled the three mermen. "Jade and Floyd as well! Nanu! Nanu! These are the guys I was telling you about!"

Rollo moved off to the side as he spotted the grimaces on the mermen faces. This Rielle must be a character in order to get even Jade to make a face at him. Nanu laughed as he approached the man.

"Rielle, by the seven, you still do not seem capable of understanding personal space." Azul grumbled.

"Aw, but last time I had seen you, you were a chubby octopus!" He smiles as Azul freezes. "I'm so proud of you for working it off though!"

"I'm sorry about Rielle. He's been excitable ever since he heard Pua's stories about them." He sticks out his hand to Rollo. "Name's Nanu Coulette, I'm the vice leader here!"

Rollo looked at his hand and shook it, only to jolt at Nanu's strong grip as he shook their hands up and down. He let go and the gray haired man fought to keep from wincing.

"Rielle, come." Nanu pulled him back effortlessly.

"Listen, we came here looking for Shrimpy." Floyd growled. "Is she here or not?"

The dorm and vice frowned and shook their heads.

"She was here earlier." Rielle spoke. "Chen'ya had to leave, so she stayed with us...until Riley came over and invited her to Potential."

Floyd let out a low growl as Jade turned to look at Rollo.

"Forgive me for being so blunt, but have you not thought to call her at any given moment?" Rollo saw Jade's eye twitch.

In all honesty, he hadn't thought to call her due to the chaos of everything and before he could even think of pulling out his phone, Nanu answered.

"Oh, uh, she won't be able to answer."

The air crew cold as four sets of eyes glared menacingly at the vice, who raised his hands up.

"Hey, hey! Chen'ya kept putting in the wrong password and it locked her out for a while. No need to be hostile."

"It's that's all," Jade pulls on the back of Floyd and Azul's jackets before either of them have a chance to throttle Nanu. "We'll be taking our leave then. Goodbye."

The NRC boys departed for the portal before the RSA students could say anything.

"...What does Pua mean?"

"He called her Flower." Floyd asks with a monotone voice.

Rollo was going to strangle the next person to give her a nickname.

Proof that L*ona is a chad…

The definition of gentleman I’ll be running with is pulled from Merriam-Webster: a man who combines gentle birth or rank with chivalrous qualities. a man whose conduct conforms to a high standard of propriety or correct behavior, and/or a man of independent means who does not engage in any occupation or profession for gain.

Condensed, this means the traits we’re looking for someone who is of “gentle birth” (high social status) that follows or displays traits in line with the code of chivalry. Chivalry includes, but is not limited to: bravery, loyalty, generosity, courtesy, protection of the weak and defenseless, being truthful, and fearing God respecting women. They also conform to “correct” behavior and do not act for selfish reasons.

Well, automatically I feel like most of the NRC cast is disqualified because the majority of them are some degree of dishonest or acting for personal gain. (This would, ironically, also put Leona out of the running since bro’s the most underhanded cat I know.) A couple of them would also violate respecting personal boundaries.

I feel like the “obvious” answer here is Silver, since 1) he’s a literal knight and prince and 2) probably one of the few genuinely nice guys on NRC campus. And yeah, I’m still sticking with Silver as my first choice here.

My runner-up would be Riddle, just because Riddle would be so anal about “following the rules” of chivalry and maintaining decorum due to his strict upbringing. He indicates in the ongoing Halloween event that Skully is “such a gentleman” and that he has to keep up with him. I also think Riddle has some of the least selfish reasons for being polite; he legitimately considers it proper behavior and is convinced acting in line with the rules will bring people happiness.

Honorable mentions:

Jack (tsundere, but generally has the right idea going on in terms of proper behavior; will right his wrongs as shown in his Lab Wear vignettes)

Deuce (helps out his mom, tries to be an upstanding man; might fumble here and there but he is earnestly trying.)

And a special shoutout to Vil because he is the only other Twst character to have kissed Yuu, and, unlike Skully, Vil actually asks if it’s okay to kiss them before he does so. This occurs in book 6, upon his rescue. However, I would not otherwise consider Vil a gentleman because he can be pretty nasty and underhanded when he bears a vendetta. In this event alone Vil suggests outright abandoning us and also that we should beat suspicious people black and blue 💀

Of the staff, I definitely feel like Trein is our strongest gent. He is very austere and holds himself and his students to high standards, even becoming upset when he believes that his students are of such poor moral character that they would abandon the RSA boys who sacrificed themselves to allow them to escape. Trein is also known to chastise others, notably Crewel, for acting out or saying rude things. There’s no comparison, really.

🌌 Twisted Wonderland server JP Episode 07 Diasomnia Chapter 03 (1/?)

•Idia's phone ringing before he awake from sleep. Surprisingly that He didn't remember that Ortho's is now part students in Royal Sword Academy. He feels like maybe it just his imagination. He back to check out other players online game doing after join quest game last night.

•Idia thinking to go out to NRC yard wearing his ceremony. Feels something off this scenery, surprisingly see Malleus in there. Is like he's back in old past when he and others held Dark Mirror ceremony. Most strange is, Malleus usually never show up like this moment.

•Idia also never went out from his room since he is introvert after all and always use his Android tab to help him talk to students. Once everything is done on ceremony, Ortho talk about his doing in RSA with new friends. Idia was happy to hear that.

•But...Idia slowly confuse and suspicious, is like someone must be re-write the past.

•Meanwhile, MC slowly awake from conscious when MC see a vision of Maleficent in MC dream. MC surprise that MC isn't in Diasomnia's lounge but in a mysterious room looked like the original Ramshackle dorm. MC try wake up Grim saying that they're in other place.

•Grim remember when Malleus did put his Unique Magic to all NRC students into a deep sleep. Both of them Search around the room to find away back to Twisted Wonderland. Funny is, they meet a peculiar objects that can dance, eat, and do silly things. That's when Mickey see them.

•Mickey is so happy to meet MC and Grim in real before three of them do high five. MC tells everything to Mickey about the situation and need a help how MC can return to real world. Mickey feels like MC must be send by unknown dimension.

•Grim never thought that Mickey and MC is so close together, especially MC always talk about Grim also others. Maybe someday Mickey can meet others too.

•Three of them getting along each other, Grim thought that Mickey is also magician but he's not. Mickey says that all this room is made by his own imagination. Funny is, he also feel strange that how he can talk with MC in different place through a mirror in his room.

•Grim staring at the mirror that exactly same like the mirror in their Ramshackle dorm. Mickey told them that, he was try to go through it but failed. MC and Grim just realised that they're stuck in their unconscious while their body still in Diasomnia dorm.

•Mickey would like to help them, but it was too late when the ringing phone makes me disappear from dreams. A mysterious vicious Blot monster attack MC and Grim. Grim told MC he'll protect MC with all he got. The monster is getting more strong than before.

•Both of them are trap in Blots room, luckily Silver rescue those two right away by teleport dream.

•Ortho manage escape from Malleus by use AI LAN network, he transfer his program to Idia's room. He did try his best to waking up Idia and the rest of Ignihyde dorm students but nothing is happen. He goes to other place by do holographic teleport system.

•It was a terror...all around Sage Town in one island is now cover with a curse thorns by Malleus's Unique Magic. Including RSA and NRC. See Idia didn't awake makes him worried, he told his big brother that he'll do with all he can to rescue him and others before he left.

Eleanora Quince and Wynter Northcliffe, and- a third character to introduce- Veronica "Nico" Solaris.

Veronica was twisted from the princess in the tale of Donkey Skin, Wynter was twisted from Jack Frost, and for those who don't follow me... Eleanora is my Yuu OC.

Eleanora is paired with Malleus while Veronica will most likely be paired with Vil. Wynter just happens to be childhood friends with Jack, as his mother runs the ski resort where the Howl family likes to vacation and is in the same class with Silver. As of the moment, he is not paired with anyone. I just really wanted him to be a reoccurring character in the fic, lol. I was writing him in one of the newer chapters and went, "Huh. He could be neat." So I went and made a design and backstory for him.

Veronica's backstory is under the cut! As well as very mild Ignihyde spoilers.

It isn't as disturbing as the original tale that she's twisted from, but does have similar elements. The stars, moons, and sun earrings and clothing details were inspired by the three dresses the princess gets, as was the idea to make her eyes "as golden as the sun" and her disguise's hair color "silver like the moon". Her purple hair is supposed to resemble the night sky, hence the star-patterned scrunchy.

Her parents used to be good friends with Ambrose before their death, where her uncle took her in. Their family held powerful magic, but they were rather poor, and her uncle began searching for potential matches since many nobles have their eye on obtaining more powerful magic in their families.

This leads to one suitor being particularly stubborn (to the point of stalking and threatening) and she wishes more than anything to escape him. 

One day, while cooking (something that comforts her) and lamenting the way her life had turned out, wishing she could run way, she suddenly awakens her Unique Magic, which allows her to completely disguise herself. She can disguise herself with this magic (though has to eat something she’s made once every 24 hours to keep up the disguise) and those who see her in her disguise can only ever clearly remember her golden eyes. Everything else about her is a blur. But if you know her true name, you can see and remember her clearly for as she truly is. 

Veronica contacts Ambrose- who was listed as an emergency contact- and he agrees to hide her in RSA, provided she can keep up her disguise, as it was her parents' dying wish for him to help her should she ever be in trouble.

Unfortunately, the people in RSA are a little too... nice- and won't be willing to give her the help she needs as they'll be too hesitant or "kind" about approaching and dealing with the stalker. But then she finds out about the Overblots. During the Glorious Masquerade, she approaches Eleanora to try and win her to her side, as well as get her help in speaking to Headmaster Crowley about switching schools. She believes if she can befriend Eleanora, she can make use of Eleanora's powerful connections to get rid of the noble wanting to force her hand in marriage.

Because of her powerful magic, she eventually ends up sorted into Diasomnia.

After the events of VDC, she drops her disguise and attends school in earnest as Veronica and not "Nico", and goes with Rook and Epel to rescue the Overblot!Boys and Eleanora from Styx.

Rook Hunt Character Analysis

Rook is an interesting character. With his french words, that I still want to know why the apparent translation spell over the school doesn't change, and his general personality, all compile into one of the most unique characters in Twisted Wonderland.

Rook is a character, that people in universe are mostly terrified of and are unable to understand. Of course, there are a few characters that get along with him, Vil and Trey in particularly, but that isn't typically the interactions we see.

Which is in part because Rook is a hunter. He sees the beauty in everything and because of that he wants to see every side of everything. In meaning, he doesn't just want to see when people are happy and their best selves, he wants to see them in difficult situations and see how they react. To Rook, watching people as a hunter would their prey, allows him to understand them more and see their true beauty.

Which is interesting when you consider the fact that Rook is one of the most private characters in the cast. He wants to see everything about a person to see their beauty, but he isn't willing to show every part of himself. Which, in a way, reminds me a lot of Cater.

Of course, even though Rook does intentionally make some people uncomfortable, he doesn't actually want people to be upset. Even though he wants to see them for them, he also wants to see them thrive in an environment that is so entirely them, because that is what is the most beautiful to Rook. Watching people and things simply exist as themselves. So, he'll take actions to help that person, or how he sees as helping them.

It's the entire reason why Rook voted for Neige's group. It's not because he likes Neige more than Vil, Rook never said that. It's just that he knew that later the NRC boys wouldn't actually feel as if they won and instead would be unsatisfied, therefore it wasn't their win and was instead RSA's.

Rook is a character that is motivated by his curiosity by the world around him. Curiosity about how the world itself interacts with things in it. How people interact with the world. How anything interacts with anything. He wants to see it all. And since he wants to see things as they are, at their best (and worst), he is more than willing to help people be their best selves.

It's why he helps and offers console to Epel but will hunt him down when Epel runs away from lessons. Rook isn't Vil's lapdog that just does whatever he says, it's his own choice to go after Epel and drag Epel back to those lessons. Cause he feels like those lessons will show Epel's true beauty and Rook wants to see it.

Rook is completely unapologetically himself. He will call people out if he sees an issue with something. If he is doing something, it's because he wants to do it, it is not from a decision he suffered over to make. He, while kind, can be just as shady as the rest of the cast. He has been multiple times and will lie shamelessly. He has pictures, of who knows what, "hidden" behind his wallpaper in his room. He is in a villain school, this isn't surprising.

The hunter from Snow White wasn't a hero and never will be. He was fully planning on cutting up Snow White until he got cold feet, that was the whole reason he lured her out into the forest. This is the same person that Rook is based off of. He's not in RSA for a reason, no matter how kind.

Rook can also be selfish for his own desires and belief, an example of this - spoilers ahead for chapter six - is when he goes to rescue Vil. He should have been watching over the dorm since Vil wasn't there to do it, it's what the rest of Vice Dorm Leaders, and Kalim, did. But he went after Vil anyway because he cares for Vil and he wasn't about to let something happen to him. Vil yelled at him for a reason. Because he failed to do his duties for his own selfish desires, no matter how noble those desires were.

Rook is a complex character and people shouldn't boil him down to the funny french man that's a weirdo. Because that's not who Rook is as a person. He's shameless, curious, persistent, and obsessed with seeing the beauty in everything, and he's even much more than that.
