This self-titled release is Jonathan Personne's 3rd release since 2019. "Histoire Naturelle" was released in 2019 on French label Requiem Por Un Twister. "Disparitions" was released in 2020 on Michel Records. And now in 2022 comes this self-titled beauty on Bonsound.
Jonathan Personne is really Jonathan Robert (Montreal, Quebec). He's probably more well known for his work with Corridor (they released an album on Sub Pop!). But where Corridor focuses more on post-punk, Robert's solo work is lush, and meticulously arranged (although this has been more noticeable with each new release).
This LP sounds like something the could have fit in on Trouble In Mind era Jacco Gardner, or Maston. It really sounds like it belongs on French label Born Bad Records.

Dômo Kômo, according to Japanese folklore “is a ghost with two heads. Two doctors who wanted to know who between them was the best. Their competitive nature led one of the doctors to graft his head onto the body of the other, which neither one of them would be able to detach. It would kill them both.”
But Dômo Kômo are also a French (?) duo of Vincent Vauchez & Nick Wheeldon (Wheeldon is also a member of Sex Sux...great release on Requiem por un Twister).  Their new album “Bugs” will be released in October 2020 on Le Pop Club Records (Geneva, Switzerland).  The vocals have a 1960s urgency that remind me a bit of Dead Moon or Television.  But the music has more Grout Grout, Velveteen Rabbit or The Lemon Twigs.

The Recalls are a Chilean band living in Germany.  Outstanding.  They sing in English and sound like an amazing cross between The Velvet Underground, The Young Sinclairs (new album available on Requiem Por Un Twister), many bands on the Beyond Beyond Is Beyond label, and frankly just a Paisley Underground feel from Los Angeles circa 1982 (yes this means The Dream Syndicate, The Bangles and The Three O’Clock).
This album is being released by Bickerton Records (Spain).  I’d previously posted about The Shambles - a Chris Stamey influenced band.
