But I am angry. I’m angry because now I know there was a world where we could have been a family, but you left it, and I’ve been carrying the weight of that my whole life. I think I’ve got a right to be pretty bloody pissed about that.”

Bio:

Remy Aml Irving was the middle child of Troya and Denver Irving an influential couple that worked in DC. His father working as a defense attorney and his mother in as an artist. They were also witches, his mother coming from a long line of witches. From a young age Remy, along with his siblings, would visit their grandmother over the summers to learn about their ancestors and prepare for the day their magic awakened fully. His grandmother, would tell them that this knowledge was powerful and they were going to be initiated into the family coven to continue the tradition.

First his older Sister gained her powers, taking to the Earth like roots from a growing tree. Then his little brother fulfilled his mother’s nightmare and gained an affinity for starting fires. Remy while disappointed to be last, just studied harder and stuck to his Grandmother and Mother to learn all he could. Becoming a petulant teenager he grabbed more and more books, even finding the way to steal away the ones that the coven kept behind lock and key. Learning to do basic potions that he’d then pass off to witches with magic to finish for him, but keep them in the dark as to what he was concocting.

Finally, he crossed the line and disturbed the resting place of an old witch. It brought misfortune to the Coven and nearly lost his family their position within. His parents made a drastic decision, appease the Coven and to keep him from the wrath of some of the Mother, they sent him to live with his Great Aunt in Crescent Hills. She was older than his grandmother and they hoped with her influence and knowledge she would be able to guide him and help coax out his powers.

But on meeting him the old Witch knew what was wrong. She cackled and just poked him in the chest, “You’re human. You have no connection to the fade, my dear.” Remy was furious and confronted his parents about it, but they always denied not knowing he had not been born with the gift. He didn’t know what to believe.

He graduated High School and studied abroad for his art degree. He’d been adamant to leave all the time he’d wasted on witchcraft behind, but the world was full of it. He was still fascinated by it all, and deep down he still hoped one day he’d find a book that would tap into a deep seeded power. He wanted to prove his Great Aunt wrong. He wanted to prove the very fade wrong.

After his studies were through, he returned to Crescent Hills and has been living their ever since. He works with the local government on conserving local and Historical landmarks as well as running a book restoration shop. He offers his services for free to the local coven.

Recently his Grand Aunt died. While she was quite a crone, she was always straight forward with him despite being wary of his quest for knowledge. Remy moved into the old woman’s house and has been going through her things with an old urge to continue his teenage experiments again and mess with magics that should be left well enough alone.

Connections

Coven Members: Witches who were close to his Great Aunt or who go to him with old books or trinkets to work on. They can be friends or enemies. Remy can be pretty dismissive about magic, since he has no connection to it himself and sees it as mere power he was denied.

Chance Valentine

People who still believe Chance Valentine and MC's relationship was healthy (I'm also genuinely concerned for you please seek help because honey that is a very toxic relationship)

The fact that Chance Valentine was brought back when Irving, Yoyo, and Ash are right there

The fact that Aurora's original route was abandoned for so long (I know they said they're finishing it in 2022 but it should not have taken this long)

The fact that Irving only got 3 seasons (and fucking Chance Valentine got 9)

The original MC dressing like a toddler (I'm all for badass ultra fems but come on she looks like a child)

The "streetsmart" MC immediately trusting the gang and overall not being very street smart

Seymour not being in the new routes (I know he's the old MC's dog and it wouldn't make sense but I miss him and his interactions with the group and especially Ash were so cute)

Love & Legends

I'm sorry, but as cool as the concept of the Witch Queen was, it was dragged out for way too long in almost every route

Except for Alain's which deserved more seasons

Just like how he deserved to live in other routes other than his own

And how we should've gotten more interactions between him and Helena when they were on the same side in his route

Basically Alain just deserved better

The number of gorgeous women who could've been lis but weren't is a CRIME

Also what was Mothman's design?

Like I love Mothman but when you think of the cool cryptic that is NOT it

Look at JD's cool design and how it fits with them being the Jersey Devil, (or Dracula, his design was in some way what you'd imagine him to look like) Mothman deserved something like that

Also kind of wish Grace would have a route where she wasn't playing some sort of damsel in distress role because that got kinda old after a while (Edit: I’ve been looking at the replies and y’all have pointed out that she doesn’t get kidnapped in Antonio’s route and is able to become an agent in Mac’s route and a hunter in Vanessa’s. Most negative opinions I have about the series can be found here, but regardless:

Alanna Mckenna.

The pacing felt super off in Cash and Alanna's routes (it got better when Emilio's route came out, as most things in the series did)

The way Cash's route got dropped right as his route was actually becoming pretty good

Rafe's route being with MMC (while I am upset that this means MMC is likely only getting 1 li, my main issue is that they showed Rafe having more chemistry with MMC which felt kind of like Lovestruck was queerbaiting us)

Kiran not having a route yet

Also some of the cgs are ugly ngl

Plus the historical inaccuracies bother me cause like you can't just say "homophobia? never knew her" and expect everyone to go along with it for the sake of your story (take it from a better series of yours that's able to incorporate these issues into the story to make it both realistic and heartwrenching)

My Siren Crush

This is an issue across the board but I tend to notice it more in this series so I'm putting it here: SPELLING CHECKS PEOPLE. SPELLING. CHECKS. (they say as they continue writing a post full of poor grammar)

MC's magic thing seems lowkey unnecessary but I'm willing to see how Lovestruck handles it

“Dropping routes left and right” havent they only dropped TotW as a series? And Milo forever ago?

I mean, Milo is the only one who was done that dirty in their recent series, but we have quite a few examples of Lovestruck cutting unpopular stuff short: Remy and Jett from QOT, Sacha from WLL, Roman from SE, Malakai from SWM, Nav from SP, Galen from RP. If we’re talking older series, Alain from L&L, Tyrian from SP, Irving and Mateo from GIL.

Also, that short about Sophie and Calligo from L&L that ended on an indefinite TBC. And Zeke’s short, but don't get me started on that.

As for series, TOTW and to a lesser extent WLL.

And besides, I think I have good reasons to be worried about them dropping IHS.

1) IHS routes don’t have a lot of reviews compared to other recent LS releases, and the audience reception of this series, from what I’ve seen, has been lukewarm at best.

2) Lovestruck usually likes to keep one route per series on schedule (look at RP, EAA, SP, MSC). But for IHS, there have been no updates since Alanna’s S3 ended over 2 weeks ago. And nothing on the schedule either.

3) If you look at the ‘Currently Updating’ section on the app now, the newer routes and popular series that LS wants to promote are on the left, and IHS is all the way to the right, further than even SWM, which doesn't even have ongoing routes rn.

As I said, I never even liked IHS all that much, but I will be sad if it gets the Milo treatment. I want to see a proper conclusion for Rafe’s story, and I want the same for Alanna, Cash and Emilio fans as well.

I get really pissed off when people complain about how Vinca or Ripley don’t have routes. Also Ruelle, and Belle, etc. And they call Lovestruck lazy about it

Because while yes, not every SIDE female LI gets a route, AT LEAST THEY DONT ALL GET FUCKING ABANDONED.

So so sO many of the guys are just getting abandoned and left, and Sascha was the tipping point for me because he’s one of my top favorites.

Like- When Nora and Nysa ended at S4 people lost their shit because “they liked them”

but when Ezra, Nav, Remy, Jett, Lucas, Roman, Sascha, Renzei, Duke kinda, FUCKING MILO, and et cectra are all getting abandoned and ended early people laugh and don’t care.

And I understand there’s more Guy LIs, but that’s not an excuse. There’s more guys because of the older days. But it wasn’t like the guys had more seasons either. They were all treated equally, with the exception of Irving and Mateo but that was because they were extremely unpopular compared to the others.

I just wanna say, how would y’all feel if Xenia just suddenly stopped at S3 or 4, or Viv? Or if this was Galens last season. Or Piama ended next season. You’d be mad, hell i’d be mad also. But why do some people feel like it’s okay to laugh when it happens to a guy.

And I know that when the app first got released there were more guys. but that was OVER FOUR YEARS AGO. LET IT GODDAMN GO, YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THEY’VE CHANGED.

First off, someone said here a few months ago that when you finish a story, it almost feels like you are mourning, and that stuck with me a lot. People are laughing at this? Literally trampling all over the mourning period of some? Sure, we can be bitter about certain things, but that is no excuse to laugh at someone else who got a route they liked cut short. Seriously people. That's not cool. Be bitter all you want but understand that if the situation were reversed, you wouldn't like someone laughing at it. I understand why you'd get mad at that, anon.

Regarding Sascha... I seriously don't understand Lovestruck's decision behind this? Sascha was a popular route, and from what I've read in the English Lessons, his writing was simply amazing, and his route was a slow burn through and through. It makes NO sense to cut him at 4 seasons. I expected 5 or 6 minimum.

Yes, we call Lovestruck lazy about decisions like this one, and not just because they aren't giving side characters routes (though, I admit, that's also a reason). About Sascha, I find no explanation other than (maybe) his writer leaving, like what happened with Nav. Lovestruck keeps making decisions like this, so it's no surprise if it happens to a female LI as well. I guess it's only a matter of time. Yes, anon. I'd be sad (and mad) with any of the scenarios you described, like Piama ending next season.

What was Tabris’ relationship with their family like? (Cyrion, Adaia, Shianni, Soris…)

She doesn’t really remember Adaia all that well(which bothers her more than she admits), She loves her father but wishes he was a little less…. complacent. She and Shianni get along great, they’re fond of the whole teasing-insults-that-sound-real-to-other-people as a means of showing affection with each other. She and Soris get along pretty great(even if he is sort of the reason she’s claustrophobic)

How did Tabris handle being told of their arranged marriage?

Oh, meeting Nelaros definitely made her way more okay with the getting married thing. (She still has the ring. Even years later.) He’s so sweet and seems like such a nice guy, but also doesn’t just take Vaughan’s crap. She was actually looking forward to marrying him before… y’know.

Oh, bitch, he dead. And it was extra great cuz she got the dual-weapon finishing move where you stab your opponent in the gut and then cut off their head. She was very satisfied.

What was growing up in the alienage like for Tabris? How did they feel about having to leave?

Growing up in the Alienage for Rahna meant a large importance on family, sometimes going hungry bc there wasn’t enough, and a slowly built and reinforced distrust for human nobility(I’m honestly kind of shocked at how fast she and Nate bonded in DAA)

Did Amell have any memories of their life before the Circle? If so, what of? If not, how did they feel about not knowing where they’re from?

OH, yeah. Trinne was eight–almost nine–when the templars took her, so she remembers her parents(she was a Daddy’s Girl, through and through) and her sisters really well. She has lots of memories playing with her sisters, her father teaching her constellations, her mother attempting to tame her hair, etc etc 

What was Amell’s relationship with Jowan like? What did they think of the revelation of him being a blood mage?

Oh, best friends isn’t even strong enough. Trinne and Jowan are basically family in every sense but blood(and actually, Modern AU he is her brother via adoption). The single fastest way to make her angry is go after Jowan, whether that be just insults or physically attacking him. And he’s defensive of her right back, she just… needs it less. She beats people up for calling him names, he lies to keep her out of trouble and keeps her from being too impulsive as much as he can. She has mixed feelings about the blood mage reveal, those mixed feelings being AWESOME and WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?!?! She’s hurt he lied to her, but she doesn’t view blood magic as being as evil as the Chantry teaches(entropy mage; she’s put a lot of thought into this stuff “Why is THAT bad but not THIS?”, so that didn’t bother her as much.)

How prepared was Amell for their Harrowing?

She was pretty prepared, star pupil and all that. Still just barely managed to figure out Mouse’s game in time.

What was Amell’s reaction to first entering the Fade?

She thought it was pretty neat, if a tad disorienting. Adjusted pretty quickly to the concept of her will making things Real and ran with it.

Did Amell believe in “Mouse?” What did they think of his story?

Of my mages, Trinne’s the most comfortable with her skill level and least self-effacing, so he almost got her with his combo of “Woe is me” and “You’re so powerful and strong, surely you can succeed!”

How did Amell feel about living in the Circle?

Jowan and picking on the templars were the only things that made life bearable. Oh, and books. She loves to read, especially history, so the most common place to find her was the library.

Did Amell favour a particular Fraternity? What did they think about Circle politics in general?

She usually tried to keep out of Circle politics, but if you forced her to picked, she’d probably come down somewhere between Aequitarians and Libertarians, leaning a bit more toward the latter. 

How did Amell feel about working with tranquil mages?

She sees Tranquility as being just as much an abomination as anything any demon can do to a mage; stripping them of their free will and turning them into an obedient puppet. She and Jowan would both rather die than be Tranquil, so even after everything goes to hell in the Origins, even when she’s mad and hurt that he lied to her, she’s never, ever sorry she helped him escape that. Not for a second. And she’s not shy about admitting that either.

Did Amell decide to help Jowan and Lily, or did they tell Irving of their plans? Why?

Oh, she helped Jowan and Lily. No arm-twisting or anything required. She did check with Irving that they were really planning to make Jowan Tranquil, got really mad when the reason “Oh, yeah, someone told Greagoir he’s a blood mage” (I mean, he is a blood mage, but she didn’t know that, and the fact they were going to make Jowan Tranquil because of what was to her just hearsay infuriated her), and is therefore extremely defiant about helping them.

How did Amell feel about returning to the Circle, and seeing it in chaos?

It broke her heart and made her want to throw up and if Uldred had still been Uldred instead of a demon’s plaything, she probably would’ve thrown him off the top of the tower and prayed he bounced as many times as possible on the way down.

(Gabriel) ANDRAS (AWAKENING):

What was the warden’s life like prior to joining the order? Under what circumstances did they join?

Gabriel’s family(Parents, him, and younger brother Remy) were servants to one of the more decent chevaliers(I know that’s not saying much. He didn’t beat them, they were fed and had a roof, his sister actually was the one who taught Gabriel to read). Gabriel picked up some moves watching the guards/soldiers spar and practiced in what little free time he had, developed a rogue-influenced warrior fighting style(he’s a berserker/champion/spirit warrior in game). Long, LONG story short, a Grey Warden saw him fighting and was impressed with his skill–even more so upon learning he was essentially self-taught–and Conscripted him,

How did the warden react to being made Warden-Commander and sent to a new country?

Surprised, tbh. He was still a relatively new Warden at the time of the Blight and its aftermath; so he’d expected some with more Warden experience would get command. The new country bit didn’t bother him much; he’s always wanted to travel. 

What did the warden say in return to Empress Celene presenting them with new armour, upon their departure?

He doesn’t (I don’t) remember :P

What was the warden’s first impression of Ferelden?

Well, it was raining, so cold, wet, and lots of green and brown

How did the warden handle the negative backlash to their Orlesian nationality?

Honestly, he’s just glad they’re focusing on that rather than calling him “rabbit” and telling him to go make supper.

sam is VERY irish. i don’t know what the hell accent j*remy  irv*ne was doing but it wasn’t irish. he’s from dublin. he drinks and gets reckless. aka this sam is way less uptight than canon rendition.

career wise he went the more creative route. he’s a painter. architecture is too much math. he still values logic --- not wearing your heart on your sleeve and such -- but not in the technical sort of way. he’s that balance, still the most mature of the boys probably.
