I’ll admit that I often don’t have the patience for the horror games where you have to be all sneaky and try to find things & escape while constantly being chased, but I still really love those kinds of games and wish I had the patience to play them, so I’ll usually just watch a let’s play

when starting a series it’s honestly whatever my spouse and I decide we feel like watching at the time. I usually prefer comedy or horror, but we’ve been known to watch other things

I’ll admit I’m also a sucker for crime shows like CSI, I had season 3 on dvd as a kid and rewatched it all the time. I used to watch it and Criminal Minds with my parents so it’s kind of nostalgic cause it’s like one of the few things we all did together

(I used to be into anime but I haven’t really been feeling it for a while. My first anime was InuYasha (still holds a special place in my heart). My all-time favorite is Fullmetal Alchemist, and I enjoyed Death Note and JJBA a feral normal amount. Black Butler was also 👌🏻 and I still need to finish the manga)

The A Quiet Place Game Breaks Its Silence With First Reveal Trailer

Fans of the A Quiet Place films may remember that a video game based on the franchise was announced almost three years ago. After years of worrying yet oddly appropriate silence, publisher Saber Interactive has revealed the title and first trailer for A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead.

The first-person adventure is an original story starring a young woman who must trek across a new area of the film’s post-apocalyptic landscape for unknown reasons (though the game’s description mentions she’s dealing with some kind of family drama). Like the movies, keeping quiet to avoid the wrath of the sound-sensitive alien invaders requires using tools such as a customized microphone that measures the sound levels in an area.

Stealth is key, and players must carefully observe environments to create their own paths while avoiding noise-making hazards such as stepping on broken glass, as seen in the video. The trailer didn’t show any combat, but if it’s anything like the films, guns are likely to be present but perhaps deemphasized (they’re quite loud, you see). 

Interestingly, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead seems to have switched developers. When the game was first announced, Illogika was at the helm. Now, the game credits Stormind Games, the team behind the Remothered horror series and, most recently, Batora: Lost Haven. 

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead was originally slated to launch in 2022, the same year A Quiet Place Part II hit theaters. With this trailer arriving ahead of the June 28 premiere of A Quiet Place: Day One, the game is again riding the momentum of a new film release. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is coming sometime this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

If Capcom decided to remake the Clock Tower games, and decided to put you in charge, what would you do?

This is such a fun hypothetical question! but I feel like I can’t give a good answer because I don’t feel knowledgeable enough in video game making to give decent input.

I’m a pretty firm believer that if media was good the first time it doesn’t really need a remake, the concept of “what if” is always fun but I feel like most creators have a hard time modernizing something without losing some of the originality. (this especially goes for film adaptations and on top of that I’m a sucker for old media so I’m a little biased)

Just as a vague discussion of what I would want; the main focus for me is accuracy, specifically for Clock Tower: The First Fear. I feel like it would be incredibly difficult to recreate that atmosphere and air of mystery surrounding its story now. And Clock Tower spent a good chunk of its franchise being a point and click system which isn’t commonly used in recent games, so if something like Clock Tower 3 were redone, it would probably just have updated graphics and better controls.

So honestly.. I’m not sure! We did get Nightcry as a Clock Tower spiritual successor that tried to emulate the old play style, and Remothered: Tormented Fathers is often a game considered to be in the vein of a modern Clock Tower. There’s intrigue and possibilities! What do you think about remaking the Clock Tower games?

Fervono i preparativi per Milan Games Week powered by TIM, la cui nona edizione è ormai alle porte! In attesa che gli addetti ai lavori si rimbocchino le maniche per completare l’allestimento degli spazi di Fiera Milano Rho e renderla - da venerdì 27 a domenica 29 settembre - la casa di tutti gli appassionati di videogiochi, è tempo di svelare quali titoli animeranno la manifestazione. Durante questo appuntamento tanto atteso sarà possibile scoprire oltre 55 titoli tra cui 22 anteprime assolute per l’Italia e vivere in prima persona alcune delle principali novità del settore presso gli stand degli espositori.

Tra i titoli che gli appassionati potranno vedere per la prima volta dal vivo durante i tre giorni del principale consumer show italiano dedicato ai videogiochi, spiccano nomi imperdibili:

DOOM Eternal (Bethesda Softworks): lo sparatutto in prima persona di id Software che combina velocità e potenza giocabile in anteprima per il pubblico italiano. Dreams (Sony Interactive Entertainment): il nuovo atteso videogioco di Media Molecule in esclusiva per PlayStation®4 (PS4™). Luigi's Mansion 3 (Nintendo): la vacanza di Luigi si trasforma in un incubo a base di fantasmi. Dopo essere stato invitato in un hotel di lusso, Luigi parte per una vacanza con Mario e amici. Ma il suo sogno si trasforma rapidamente in un incubo quando Re Boo svela che l'invito era una trappola per catturare Mario e gli altri;

Mario & Sonic ai Giochi Olimpici di Tokyo 2020 (Nintendo): unendosi a Mario, Sonic e i loro amici il giocatore può vivere per l’avventura più grande di sempre ai Giochi olimpici di Tokyo 2020. Tra i vari sport, spiccano quattro nuovi eventi: skateboard, karate, surf e arrampicata sportiva, oltre a un'ampia selezione di eventi classici;

Marvel’s Avengers (Koch Media/Square Enix): Marvel’s Avengers è un gioco di azione-avventura in terza persona guidato dalla storia. I giocatori dovranno riunire e ricostruire la loro gamma di Avengers prima giocando l’originale campagna singolo giocatore, poi combattendo, da soli o online in compagnia di amici, in muove missioni per tutto il globo. Potranno inoltre personalizzare gli Eroi Più Potenti della Terra e controllare i loro unici poteri per difendere il pianeta da minacce sempre maggiori negli anni a venire;

Marvel’s Iron Man VR (Sony Interactive Entertainment): un’avventura firmata Sony Interactive Entertainment, Camouflaj e Marvel, in esclusiva per PlayStation®VR, che calerà il giocatore all’interno dell’armatura di Iron Man per affrontare – con il supporto del PS Move - i più grandi nemici del supereroe Marvel in sfide ad alta quota e battaglie piene di azione;

MediEvil (Sony Interactive Entertainment): per rivivere su PS4 Pro le avventure di Sir Daniel Fortesque nel remake di MediEvil, uno dei titoli di maggior successo della prima PlayStation. L’imbranato Sir Daniel risorge dalla tomba, presentandosi sul campo di battaglia con un’armatura e le sue sole ossa: sarà la sua occasione per vendicarsi dello stregone Zarok e salvare il regno di Gallowmere;

Nioh 2 (Sony Interactive Entertainment): in esclusiva per PS4, in arrivo il secondo capitolo del soulslike di Team Ninja, ambientato nel Giappone del XVI secolo. In questo GDR caratterizzato da scontri contro umani e demoni, il giocatore veste i panni di un antico guerriero che, dominando i vari stili di combattimento e imparando a conoscere il proprio nemico, è destinato a diventare un valoroso samurai;

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (Nintendo): la foresta di Nibel sta morendo. Dopo che una forte tempesta dà il via a una serie di eventi devastanti, Ori deve partire e trovare il coraggio di affrontare un oscuro nemico e salvare la foresta;

Pandemic (Nintendo): con questo gioco e i suoi DLC acquistabili a parte, basati sulle apprezzate espansioni, il giocatore ferma la diffusione di quattro malattie e le cura tutte, in singolo o in multiplayer locale per quattro giocatori;

Pokèmon Spada e Pokèmon Scudo (Nintendo): un'avventura Pokèmon RPG tutta nuova in cui il giocatore è invitato a scoprire Galar, un'ampia regione con una grande varietà di ambientazioni, da pacifiche campagne e moderne città a dense foreste e montagne innevate;

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition (Nintendo): vincitore di oltre 250 premi come gioco dell'anno, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt è un'avventura open world ambientata in un universo dark fantasy, in cui il giocatore veste i panni del cacciatore di mostri mercenario Geralt di Rivia;

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint (Ubisoft): uno sparatutto militare che offre uno splendido mondo aperto, giocabile in solo o in co-op fino a 4 giocatori. Ferito, senza supporto, braccato da ex-Ghost e sperduto su Auroa, il giocatore dovrà lottare per sopravvivere al più temibile nemico mai affrontato.

Cyberpunk 2077 (Bandai Namco Entertainment): un'avventura a mondo aperto ambientata a Night City, una megalopoli ossessionata da potere, moda e modifiche cibernetiche. Il giocatore veste i panni di V, un mercenario alla ricerca di un impianto unico in grado di conferire l'immortalità. E, in occasione della prossima edizione della manifestazione, a Fiera Milano Rho aprirà per la prima volta in Italia il Cyberpunk 2077 World – uno stand in cui sarà possibile vivere alcune delle iconiche scene catturate nei primi trailer del titolo;

Death Stranding (Sony Interactive Entertainment): dal leggendario Hideo Kojima, un’esperienza di gioco per PS4 che sfida ogni definizione di genere. In un futuro non troppo lontano, il mondo è sconvolto da eventi soprannaturali chiamati Death Stranding. Sam Porter Bridges dovrà attraversare una terra desolata per cercare di salvare il genere umano dall'annientamento. A Milan Games Week powered by TIM sarà possibile saperne di più su questo titolo tanto atteso vivendo un trailer nel teatro dello stand PlayStation;

Watch Dogs Legion (Ubisoft): il teatro dello stand PlayStation ospiterà anche la demo giocata da alcuni esponenti del team che ha sviluppato questo titolo ambientato in un futuro molto vicino, in cui Londra sta affrontando il totale declino. La gente è oppressa da corrotti opportunisti e tocca al giocatore costruire una resistenza per restituire la città al popolo. Con un’intera popolazione di possibili reclute e la tecnologia della città a portata di mano, sarà necessario hackerare, infiltrarsi e lottare per una Londra libera.
