Twisted Wonderland Birthdates/Birthyears, In Order.

A comprehensive list of each TWST character’s exact birthdate, in order, down to the year + their ages. This will be going off of Twisted Wonderland’s release date, (2020), and not the current year (2023 at the time of writing). Contains chapter 7 spoilers.

- I’m aware that the Japanese school year starts in April instead of September, but for some reason my brain refused to process this so I ended up doing these based around the school year cut-off being September. I decided to post it anyway, since I’m pretty sure most of it’s still accurate, though I may do a Japanese version at some point!

~Ortho’s age is anonymous, so I had to do some speculations and maths here. I’m going to assume that R!Ortho was 8 years old at the date of his death, and that Idia constructed O!Ortho when he was around 10. This would give their parents plenty of time to start caring about Robortho before the pair left for Night Raven. I’m going to assume that O!Ortho is either 3 years old with the mental state of an 11 year old, or 3 years old with the mental state of a 16 year old (since he joined the first years, albeit as a special exception). Personally I’m leaning more towards the former.

~If Lilia was 300 years old during the war and Silver was a baby at the time (seemingly 0 - 1 years old) then that would mean that his birthyear falls somewhere between 1620 - 1622, most likely 1621. Lilia also states that the day he found Silver was the day that he decided for Silver's birthday, meaning that the odds of May 15th being his real birthday are 1/365. During Silver's identity crisis dream we see what he looked like on the day that Lilia found him, which we've established was May 15th, and he looks to be roughly 6 months old.

It's possible that Lilia thought of this and decided to consider this Silver's 1st birthday, but if that were the case, there's a good 50% chance that Silver has actually been awake for 16 years of his life, which would actually be very clever since Aurora was 16. In the reverse, if Lilia decided to treat the day he found Silver as the day he was born, then there's a 50% chance that Silver is actually 18. Basically what I'm saying is I haven't got a fucking clue-)

Mega Man franchise (near) complete anniversary calendar

Since I couldn't find this anywhere else online (Seriously! Why doesn't this exist!), here's a mostly complete collection of the release dates of every single megaman franchise game and some extras. I've tried to keep it to one line per game where feasible but this has led to some abbreviations such as "PS1" instead of "Playstation".

This calendar will always count the earliest release region and platform and for dual release games I've not included the subtitles as some of the listings would get very long.

Mega Man Battle network legacy collections 1&2 both released for PS4 but since they are digital only, this effectively acts as being released for both PS4 AND 5 so I listed 5 as I feel it's the more relevant choice.

If I've missed any games please comment to let me know :D (or if I've made any mistakes! I've already fixed some things based on feedback!), I was going to include all the manga series too as those particularly interested me but it was too difficult to track them all down with dates so I haven't bothered but I can always come back in future to edit this, if anyone knows about them: please send me a DM!. I may also add the Mega Man complete works artbooks at some point too, but I can't be bothered researching that rn. If you REALLY want them on the timeline, comment or DM.

If any wiki resource or anything wants to use this feel free but please for the love of god fact check it please, as I write this sentence it is 1am and I very may well have written something wrong or used a source that has incorrect information.

*I speculate this one was released around October 21st 1994 due to the fact that it came very near the release of Mega Man The Wily Wars. As both games acted as a sort of campaign to introduce sega players to Mega Man it's likely they were intended to release around the same time, however the wily wars never saw a physical American release. If anyone has a source for the game gear games original release date please do let me know.

Helfert, Joachim Murat, Chapter 7

Helfert adds a brief last chapter about what happened after Murat’s death; it is more of an epilogue, actually.

7. Murat's Heirs.

The Prince of Canosa was in Castrovillari on October 14 when news arrived from Pizzo that all was over, whereupon he changed his mind and returned to Naples. At court, too, the outcome was already known. On the evening of the 14th, the news was telegraphed to the king, who immediately went to Princess Partanna, where Count Mocenigo was visiting. Through the latter, who visited our envoy in his theatre box, Jablonovski heard about it the same evening. The next morning Circello issued a circular to the foreign legations with a brief announcement of the event, the details of which were not yet known. The news caused almost undivided consternation in these circles, but this did not prevent Ferdinand IV from holding a ball at his Favorita that same evening, as he regularly did every Sunday, and from discussing the catastrophe of Pizzo with the foreign diplomats to the cheerful sounds of music and lively dances. Truly, the peasant's son from Bastide-Fortunière had, when he was informed of the death of his mortal enemy Maria Karolina in the distant Hegendorf, shown more tact and royal decency than the purple-blooded Ferdinand at the news of his chivalrous adversary's sad end. On the 17th, Luigi de' Medici, in his capacity as temporary Minister of Police, gave a detailed report on the course of events of Murat's enterprise and on the reasons for the sentence passed against him, excerpts of which were reported to the public two days later in the government newspaper.

Around the same time, the king received an address of homage and devotion from the citizens and another from the cathedral chapter of Pizzo. They received everything they asked for and could only wish for. The town of Pizzo was given the title of "most faithful", its syndici, elected and deputies were awarded a golden medal - obverse: bust of Ferdinand, reverse: "Ob egregiam urbis Pitii fidelitatem; postridie nonas octobris MDCCCXV" - for ever. The municipality was granted freedom from all taxes and consumption duties for now and forever, its inhabitants were to be supplied with the salt they needed, and its unfinished cathedral was to be expanded at royal expense. Finally, it was decided to erect a monument at the place where Murat had been overcome and captured, which would bear witness to the event and the royal favours attached to it for posterity.

Ferdinand was not entirely without concern as to what friendly courts would say to his having taken such a decisive step without first consulting their representatives. The King and his First Minister thought they had all the more reason to be uneasy about this point, as both Jablonovski and Mocenigo made somewhat long faces, and thought their cabinets would not easily get over this disregard. The Russian envoy in particular, wherever the event was mentioned, spoke in such an intemperate manner that the King was seriously displeased. Only A'Court spoke in just the opposite sense: The case of Murat was so glaring that the proceedings of the court were completely justified; he was convinced that his cabinet would agree with him. Jablonovski, too, had to admit on the whole that Ferdinand could not have acted otherwise; that the armed invasion and the expressed intention of dethroning the king and revolutionising the country demanded strict and swift justice; he was convinced that if Ferdinand, in order to await the consent of the allied powers, had allowed his prisoner to be taken into the interior of the country, the Muratists would have mustered all their forces, would have set in motion all means to arouse an insurrection in their favour and, in any case, would have involved and exposed a multitude of persons, since, on the other hand, all further mischief was now prevented by the death of one man.... .. Nevertheless, Jablonovski, at least it seemed, was not sure how the Allies would judge the event, shrugged his shoulders at Circello, did not conceal his fears from the King that such a hasty procedure would be perceived as a lack of consideration for Ferdinand's high allies, and so on.

But the answer that arrived from Paris was quite different. It was more of a rebuke, with which the Prince-Chancellor instructed his Neapolitan envoy that he should not have become involved in this matter in the first place, but should have acted as an uninvolved observer. Attacked in His States," said the despatch dated November 4, "by a party leader whose royal dignity he had never recognised and who came bearing arms to incite his subjects to rebellion, to light the torch of civil war and to threaten the tranquillity of Italy, the King was allowed to consult no one but His and His country's interests, to which he would undoubtedly have done harm if he had first consulted with his allies as to the fate fully deserved by Murat, who, by the audacity of his punishable enterprise, had placed himself outside the law." The Austrian passport that Murat had in his hands did not therefore place him under Austrian protection; for the bearer had made a different, indeed criminal, use of it than that for which the document was intended. At the moment when he preferred to take a foolhardy risk, he had renounced the protection and the benefit which Austria had intended for him, etc. ... Since Metternich only formulated his decision after he had consulted the representatives of the allied powers in Paris, it was actually to be regarded as a statement by the latter and was addressed not only to Jablonovski but just as well to Mocenigo, and in general to all those who had made themselves important in this matter ...

Only now did King Ferdinand IV of Naples and Sicily, or as he soon called himself following the example of the Napoleonids, "Ferdinand I of Both Sicilies", sit firmly on his throne, unchallenged on all sides. His former adversary and tormentor of Palermo, Lord William Bentinck, did appear once more in his capital, but only to collect his lady, with whom he returned to Rome. The vexatious negotiation which had taken place between him and Earl Nugent in the last days of September had been badly noted by Bentinck's ministry. The machinations and quarrels, from which he had not wished to desist even then, when he no longer had a command or an office to interfere in the affairs of Italy, had caused his government more than one embarrassment, wherefore it now sent him the well-meant advice to depart without noise from a scene in which he had made so much talk of himself throughout a lustrum.

In no. 158 of the "Giornale delle Due Sicilie" of 23. November, two decrees were published, dated the 6th, signed by the King and countersigned by Tommaso di Somma: one to Alvaro Ruffo, who was awarded the title of Prince, a seat and a vote in the Council of State, the Grand Cross of the Order of Ferdinand and a pardon of 6000 ducats a year for his persevering loyalty to life, for his many services, but above all for bringing about the Austro-Napolitan alliance treaty, "diretto a discacciare l'usurpatore Murat"; the other to Serra-Capriola, who was likewise awarded the Grand Cross and an annual pension of 2000 ducats. The first letter, which was written in a particularly warm manner, was, as Jablonovski reported to Vienna, "largely edited by the king himself", just as Ferdinand in general, ever since Maria Karolina was not at his side, intervened more in business, had especially important coded dispatches from his envoys addressed directly to his person, etc. His ministers sometimes only learned the contents the next day, whereas the Princess of Partanna knew how to find out the secret before they did. As is well known, she had to promise her royal lover, before he took her to the altar, not to interfere in affairs of state; but our envoy doubted whether this relationship would last long; in time, he thought, she would gain it over the king and break the fetters he had put on her.

It remains to add a word about the fate of Joachim Murat's companions on his last journey; one of them, Domenico Franceschetti, has reported on it in detail.

After the ex-king had disappeared from the scene, Ferdinand granted his supporters mercy for justice. On 27 October, they were taken from their place of detention to the island of Ventotiene, where they were joined by a hundred other Muratists, the crew of two other barques, who had been carried by the storm to the coast of Calabria citeriore and captured by Ferdinand's troops. On 17 January 1816, after receiving complete amnesty from the King at the presentation of the Minister of War Saint-Clair, they left the small island and, after all sorts of unpleasant perils, arrived at Porto-Ferrajo and then on to Livorno, where they appealed to the Grand Duke of Tuscany for an asylum. Count Narbonne had assured them from Naples that his king would not be outdone in magnanimity by Ferdinand IV, whereupon they sailed for Corsica. Here the Marquis de la Rivière, who had already proved so spiteful against Murat in Toulon, intervened and now received his followers only to have them arrested and put in chains. Even their relatives, especially Franceschetti's family, where one suspected hidden treasures of the ex-king, were treated inhumanely, so that in some parts of the island ferment arose and even riots broke out, which were bloodily suppressed until Rivière was succeeded by the more conciliatory Gen.Lieut. Willot. Nevertheless, the Muratists were continually treated as prisoners, brought from Corsica to Marseilles and imprisoned in If Castle, where the officers in particular, eighteen in number, had to endure a very hard time. The soldiers, on the other hand, were released from their bonds at the beginning of June and assigned to different troop bodies.

In the first days of August, five of the officers, including Franceschetti, Natali and Ottaviani, were transported to the prison of Draguignan, in the Var department, where they were to answer to the Prévôt court, which declared itself to be without jurisdiction. After many representations, letters of justification, petitions for clemency, an order from the Minister of Police, Décazes, dated 6 January 1817, finally opened the doors of their dungeons, whereupon they received permission to return home on 16 February.

And what became of Captain Barbara, who rascally or cowardly abandoned his king and lord, to whom he owed everything he was and had, in the moment of need? Franceschetti no longer mentions him, and elsewhere I have found nothing about him.

The lost Supergirl

To its detractors the 1984 Helen Slater Supergirl is an underwhelming, disjointed, and self-contradictory attempt to profit from the Superman franchise beyond the Man of Steel. To its supporters the 1984 Supergirl is a much misunderstood blending of super-heroics and fairy-tales, creating a magical story of adventure and courage. But no matter what your take on this movie, no one can deny that it failed to meet box office expectations and did not garner anything like the same reputation as Chris Reeve’s first two iconic Superman outings.

But with the passing of time comicbook fans seem to have slowly mellowed towards Slater’s Supergirl. Sure, it may never be considered a classic, but many fans now acknowledge that Helen Slater’s time in the red cape has a lot of charming qualities, qualities that are sadly lacking in many of DC’s modern offerings.

So, what caused this shift in attitudes?

Well, thanks to the internet, today’s fans have a greater awareness of the intentions of director Jeannot Szwarc, who (we now recognise) was pitching at a younger audience than the Superman movies -- hence the looser fairy-tale quality of the plot. But, more importantly, there’s also a growing awareness that many of the movie’s weaknesses were made far more glaring by the distributor’s brutal editing for US markets.

As more and more of the cutting room floor footage has been seen, so criticism has softened. Although still far from perfect, 2000′s extended 138 minute cut is generally recognised as a more balanced and coherent experience than 1984′s US theatrical version of just 105 minutes. But fans have speculated that yet more footage is still to be found. Rumours circulate on the far flung reaches of the internet concerning a possible 150 minute edit, smoothing over even more of the disjointed elements of the story.

In this article I want to first attempt a fact-packed recap of the editing history of the Supergirl movie, noting when and why its numerous cuts were created; then I want to briefly speculate on what might be in the still-missing 12 minutes (if indeed they exist), by pulling together the various rumours and looking at their evidence.

So, let’s begin...

From silver screen to small screen

Supergirl got its debut in London on Thursday 19th July 1984, as part of a Royal Charity Premiere screening attended by Princess Michael of Kent (whose husband is the current Queen’s first cousin, as I’m sure everyone knows(!)) This UK version was distributed by Columbia-EMI-Warner and ran at 124 minutes. Initial critical reaction was mixed, leaning more towards underwhelmed.

As US fans waited for the Maid of Might to fly onto their cinema screens, the movie began to open around the world. Ireland and Japan got Supergirl just days after the UK, then August saw Supergirl open in the Philippines, Australia, and Spain. In October it was the turn of France and Canada. Meanwhile Kara Zor-El fans in her (adopted) home country had no choice but to wait... and wait... and wait... The delay in the US release was caused by Warner Bros. dropping out of negotiations to promote and distribute the film in US theatres midway through production. As the movie was in post production, and overseas distribution deals were being struck, the Salkind family (the producers) scrambled to find an alternative distributor for their biggest market.

Finally, on Wednesday 21st November 1984, the Maid of Might launched onto US screens thanks to TriStar Pictures, but the switch in distributor had not been without major consequences. American Supergirl fans were treated to an experience that had been cut down to just 105 minutes, removing key exposition scenes from a movie that was already criticised for struggling with plot coherence. Supergirl grossed $5.7m on its opening weekend, and went on bring in $13.6m in the US market. On an estimated production budget of $35m, it was not considered a success.

At the same time as the US theatrical release, a 125 minute LaserDisc version appeared in Japan, marking the first time fans could watch the Girl of Steel in the comfort of their own Fortress of Solitude. The advertised 125 minute running time likely represents a rounding error rather than 1 minute of new material. Although not sold into US markets, some copies apparently did cross the Pacific. The LaserDisc version was likely a pan-and-scan copy (no documentation suggests widescreen), with Supergirl’s wide cinematic 2.35:1 image cropped drastically to fit television’s nearly square 4:3 ratio.

Pan-and-scan would also have been done to the initial VHS release into US markets by U.S.A. Home Video in 1985, which used the 105 minute cut that had appeared in US cinemas the year before. In 1987 a second pan-and-scan edit was created by TriStar for HBO‘s cable tv screenings, which was then used by the ABC Network when it broadcast a brutal 92 minute cut in February 1987. (It was common practice for ad-supported tv to heavily edit movies, making space for commercials without stretching the running time too far.) This super-slimline cut was later thrown together with other Superman movies into a tv syndication package by Viacom. The Internet Movie Database suggests that there was also a VHS cut that ran to just 89 minutes -- this may have been either the Avid Home Video release (1991) catalogued on the same site, or it may refer to an unknown overseas VHS release.

Lurking in the depths of the vaults

By the late 1990s the full 124 minute cut of Supergirl had still never been legitimately made available in the US. The rights to the Supergirl movie had subsequently been snapped up as part of a bundle of films by Canal + Distribution in France, and they allowed Anchor Bay Entertainment to release the two hour so-called International Cut on VHS. Many Supergirl fans now thought that they, at last(!), had copies of the most complete version of the film. But rumours quickly started to circulate that this was far from the case.

Not long after the International Cut’s release, speculation began that Canal + had found something interesting lurking amidst the dusty film cans they’d acquired as part of their rights acquisitions. A previously unknown 138 minute cut of Supergirl featuring a mono soundtrack had been unearthed, which quickly acquired the moniker of the Director’s Cut.

(Note: one citation-free internet comment suggests that the Director’s Cut was actually discovered at Pinewood Studios, in a box marked “do not use”. Although the early Superman / Supergirl movies were filmed at London’s Pinewood soundstages, it seems odd that a finished edit of the film, complete with soundtrack, would be discovered there.)

In mid-2000 Anchor Bay Entertainment released a two disc DVD set featuring both the 124 minute International Cut, and the new 138 minute Director’s Cut, both in widescreen format (2.35:1 letter-boxed to widescreen tv’s 16:9 ratio.)

So, thought fans, surely this is the definitive Helen Slater Supergirl... right..!?

Well, apparently, no..!

The rumours didn’t end with the Director’s Cut. Some evidence suggested that there were still scenes shot at Pinewood that didn’t make it into the 138 minute edit. Speculation was that somewhere in a rusting film can there might lie yet another 12 minutes of unseen footage, bringing the total running time of the film to a whopping 150 minutes -- that’s almost 50% more Supergirl than was seen by the original US theatrical audiences in November 1984.

So, what’s missing..?

First, let us rule out what we can say with certainty is not in any potential missing footage.

The original script for Supergirl, penned by David Odell, made heavy use of Christopher Reeve’s Superman. According to director, Jeannot Szwarc, the main plot device always revolved around the recovery of the Omegahedron, but in early drafts Superman was to encounter Supergirl in space, and the pair were to share a heartwarming scene in which he teaches his cousin how to fly, involving dancing together in mid-air. At a later point in the script Supergirl was to rescue Superman from a prison, where he languished as an old man having lost his immorality.

Regrettably, the producer’s hopes of securing Chris Reeve fell apart not long before shooting began. Without Reeve, Odell’s script (which, Szwarc claims, had already suffered numerous rewrites at the behest of the Salkinds and/or original distributors Warner Bros.) underwent yet another a major overhaul. As such, we can say with absolute certainty that none of the possible missing footage includes Christopher Reeve’s Superman.

So what might it contain?

A draft of the movie’s script, dated Monday 17th January 1983, is available online, and it seems to mention scenes that never appeared in any publicly available cut of the film, including the Director’s Cut. The draft’s date is just a few weeks away from the alleged filming dates: Monday 18th April 1983 to Thursday 11th August 1983. The script does follow the story line of the finished movie, although it is apparent that some action segments have been reworked and some of the dialogue is only vaguely similar to the filmed version.

A second source of information comes from an apparently test audience viewing in the US, with online accounts of this screening at sites like IMDB seeming to bear out the rumours that some of the elements in the draft script may have been filmed and included in this screening.

Speculation suggests that a number of clips featuring Selena are still lost. These include more material with Selena and the Omegahedron, and a clip during Selena’s takeover of Midvale in which the angry townspeople are cowered (except Lucy) by Selena when she uses an ice spell to kill a woman.

There’s also speculation that two short interactions with Linda at school are absent. The first involves Nigel quizzing Linda about her plans for the weekend (this happens immediately before the scene, 50 minutes in, with Linda sitting outside the school as other girls leave with their parents, when Lucy invites Linda to join her later in Midvale.) The second is a chat between Linda and Lucy about clothes and fitting in on Earth.

One interaction that always seemed a bit odd in the movie takes place immediately after the shower sequence (when Kara uses her heat vision to punish the two school bullies.) Entering their shared dorm room, Linda asks Lucy to comment on her new hairdo -- Lucy replies that it looks the same as before. In the script however (and in accounts of the advance screening) there is a segment with Supergirl using heat vision and a bathroom mirror to cut her blonde hair, but she forgets that she has reverted to Linda’s brunette wig when Lucy offers her critique. The second half of this interaction appears in the movie (albeit with different dialogue to the script), so fans have speculated that the laser haircut footage may exist too.

The January 1983 script also does a better job of tidying up the story’s loose ends. For example, rather than have Linda Lee just vanish without explanation, school principal (Fred?) Danvers uncovers Linda’s secret identity after she fights the energy monster, explaining why he won’t be frantically searching for her once Supergirl returns to Argo City. No accounts, rumoured or otherwise, suggest that these segments were filmed, however.

Conclusion

Even at 150 miniutes, Supergirl would still be a flawed movie. But then perhaps, as Jeannot Szwarc has noted, its intentions were never properly understood or promoted. The film isn’t trying to be the Christopher Reeve Superman, but rather a children’s fairy-tale in which the hero uses Kryptonian superpowers instead of magic. One internet commentator noted that Slater’s Supergirl is best enjoyed as a series of unconnected vignettes -- forget that the overall plot doesn’t make sense and just enjoy each scene on its own. I think there might be some truth in that analysis.

Despite its flaws, the 1984 Supergirl movie has amassed a loyal fanbase. The special effects are superb (even Richard Donner apparently admitted that the technique Szwarc used to make his Girl of Steel fly was superior to the zooming-lenses trick pioneered on Superman), the story is unapologetically lighthearted, and Helen Slater’s endearing portrayal as the Maid of Might is still considered by many to be the definitive live-action Supergirl.

Restoring the extra footage won’t overturn the movie’s shortcomings, but it will further soothe some of its inconsistencies, while sprinkling just a little more magic dust onto what its loyal fans already consider to be a charming and bewitching cinematic experience.

The movie’s heroine succeeds in her quest to find the Omegahedron and restore Argo City to its former glory -- we can but hope that one day her fans will find any missing footage, and restore her movie to its fullest length.

2008 - Four Tops

Four Tops singer Levi Stubbs died at his Detroit home, aged 72. Stubbs had been in ill health since being diagnosed with cancer in 1995 and a stroke and other health problems led him to stop touring in 2000. The group signed with Motown Records in 1963 and produced 20 Top 40 hits over the following 10 years, making music history with other acts in Berry Gordy's Motown stable.

2005 - Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury's 1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow failed to sell in an eBay auction, having not met its reserve price. It had been listed by his sister, Kashmira Cooke, who had inherited the car from him. The auction had attracted nearly 200 bids and exceeded £60,000 (approximately $93,000). The luxury vehicle had not appeared in public since 2002, when it had been used to transport the Bulsara family to the premiere of the Queen stage musical We Will Rock You. It came with a box of Kleenex Mansize tissues left in the car by Freddie.

2000 - Jimi Hendrix

A flat in Montagu Square London, which was once owned during the 60s by Ringo Starr went on the market for £575,000. The two bedrooms, two-story property was also home for Jimi Hendrix, John & Yoko and Paul McCartney during the 60s.

1999 - Thomas Durden

Thomas Durden died aged 79. Wrote the lyrics to Heartbreak Hotel, one of Elvis Presley's early hits. Durden had read a newspaper account of a man who had committed suicide, the man had left a note saying, ''I walk a lonely street,'' Durden used the phrase as the basis for 'Heartbreak Hotel.’

1981 - Christopher Cross

Christopher Cross started a three week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Arthur's Theme, (Best That You Can Do)', his second US No.1. and a No.7 hit in the UK.

1973 - The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones performed two shows at Foret Nationale, Brussels, Belgium, as part of a tour of the UK and Europe. Opening for the tour's shows were Billy Preston and American group Kracker, the first band to be signed to Rolling Stones Records. Bobby Keys didn’t show up for the concert, which resulted in him being banned by Mick Jagger from future Rolling Stones tours until 1989, with occasional exceptions. According to legend Bobby missed the gig due to him filling a hotel bathtub with Dom Perignon champagne and drinking most of it.

1964 - Manfred Mann

Manfred Mann started a two week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Do Wah Diddy Diddy', possibly the first No.1 with a Nonsense Song Title. Also a No.1 in the UK, the song was first released by the US group The Exciters.

Synopsis (from Wikipedia)

Rampant tells the action story of a hero named Yi Chung 이청 (played by Hyun Bin) who fights against “Night Demons (야귀 夜鬼)” to save Joseon. Prince Yi Chung is a son of King Yijo (played by Kim Ui-Seong), and the greatest martial artist in the world. Although he was sent to the Qing Empire (China) as a political hostage, he returns home when his brother, the Crown Prince Yi Young 이영 (Kim Tae-woo), calls him back after many years because of the nightmarish monsters plaguing the country. Prince Yi Chung will be fighting the night demons alongside Kim Ja-joon 김자준 (played by Jang Dong-Gun) and Deok-hee 덕희 (played by Lee Sun-Bin).

....In short, this is a zombie action Sageuk set in a fictional period similar to the 17th century Joseon kingdom. LOL

It will be released by NEW (Next Entertainment World) which produced the famous Korean zombie thriller Train to Busan (2016). This movie was supposed to be released this July, but it's likely to be postponed until Chuseok or Christmas holiday due to the cutthroat competition of summer blockbusters.

p.s. It is confirmed that Rampant will be released in late October, 2018.
