Red Star

Cold.

While hot by human standards,

red stars are some of the colder stars out there.

Not cold enough to be known for it,

not cold enough to to recognized for it,

just cold enough to not be warm enough.

Dim, sometimes.

typically, it's harder to see red stars

until they have started to die.

until their deaths lead them

to lose everything they are.

Giant, unatable, angry stars.

Why has no one looked at them

until they were so unstable,

they could not contain themself??

Did they only deserve to be seen

when they were so large,

so volatile,

that they could no longer hold themselves together?

When they were so angry,

and yet, weaker than they've ever been?

And why did all the other stars

look at them with such disdain?

Was that hatred?

or was it..

impatience?

Oh, right. That's why.

once they were gone

They would be used up—

as fuel, for another,

bigger,

brighter,

hotter star.
