Hey, remember Love Rollercoaster? That one Red Hot Chilli Peppers song? Actually a disco cover originally by the Ohio Players, who were notable for their extremely explicit 12" vinyl covers that featured nude or nearly-nude women, a lot of whom were also playboy models. Don't open this video in a public room, it actually showcases some of them in the slideshow. I'm also in europe, so it might be blocked elsewhere, but don't worry - I'm sure the covers are archived somewhere.

If you're interested in other songs that ended up with much more popular covers, I've already mentioned Dolly Parton once but she has authored many popular songs, of which Whitney Houston famously covered Ms Parton's musical farewell to Porter Wagoner, a popular country singer that had a broadcasted show that she appeared on. Here's I Will Always Love You. (Written during the same music session as the iconic and much-covered Jolene.)

It’s one thing that they named both of the girls who died in the sunbeds “Ash.” (given that’s what you become (mostly) when you’re cremated) 

And it’s one thing that the song they were listening to just before their death was “Love Rollercoaster” (given they should have died on the rollercoaster) 

But they used the original version of the song, rather than the Red Hot (pretty much how they died) Chilli Peppers cover??? Missed a trick there.

Currently reading: A great book I just finished is “A New Season” by Marnie Schaefers. It’s a beautiful YA love story about Tracey and Vincent and about Vincent struggling with his trans identity. I can highly recommend it but despite the English title, it’s a German book.

A fic I’m currently reading (whenever I find the time because it’s a monster) is “My Soul Is Calling You Home” by my brilliant friend @cowandcalf. It’s the second part of her McDanno High School AU, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions and y’all definitely should read it, it’s fantastic!

1. Describe your dream house.

So I love swimming!! But I despise public swimming pools they're really really unhygienic, so I would love to have a personal swimming pool in my 'dream house', I want the walls to be painted in darker earthy tones, and lighting would be golden!! I want to put nice lamps and chandeliers in my house. The furniture should look kind of vintage but would have all modern comforts, something that is both aesthetically pleasing to look at as well as practical, I would absolutely love to have a canopy over my bed, it just feels regal.

10. Share a recipe you love.

Oh I have so many recipes to share!!! I love to cook, but occasionally, if it becomes a chore I lose interest. I love my food spicy and full of flavours. I'll share a recipe made out of vermicelli, it's a form of pasta, but we have a variation of it in India it's called Sevai, the one I use is called Bambino Vermicelli.

Take a cup of Vermicelli, put it in a utensil, add 3 cups of water, light the stove, add 2 teaspoons of oil into it so the vermicelli doesn't stick together. Let it boil till cooked. Don't overcook it and don't let it get soggy.

Drain the water, and add cold water and ice to the boiled vermicelli, so it doesn't stick together. Drain the water after a while.

Now for the main preparation, take a pan or whatever utensil you cook in. Add 4 tablespoons of any oil to it. Put the stove on medium-high flame

Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds to it, when they start making popping sound, they're cooked.

After that, add finely chopped garlics and finely chopped green chillies to it.

Add some diced onions, to it and saute until golden brown

Now add the spices, 1½ teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons red chilli powder, 1½ teaspoon coriander powder.2 tablespoons of Soy Sauce, ½ teaspoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of tomato puree, or tomato sauce, ½ tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice and some chilli flakes.

Now you can add vegetables of your choice to this, I usually add brocolli, bell peppers (yellow, green and red), sweet corns, some spinach leaves, carrots, cabbage,some spring onions and fresh coriander leaves.

Saute until cooked.

Add salt to taste.

Add the vermicelli to this and mix it well.

Serve it hot.

14. Write a review for the last film you watched?

The last movie I watched was, Little Women, and what can I say other than it was absolutely amazing!!! The movies has such a warm vibe, and the characters are relatable. Some dialogues really resonated with me. And period-drama settings are my jam. A feel-good movie, that gives you things to think about and takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, you may find yourself crying and laughing while watching this movie, I definitely recommend watching it.

20. If you got $500,000 what would you buy?

I move out soon for graduation, so yeah I would use this money to cover my tution fee, and other living expenses during my studies.
