Why does he need Husk for that, you ask? Husk has the cat quality of just improving your mood by existing in the same space as you. Also he gets frustrated when he gets interrupted in a game, so anybody who dares to knock on Al's door during this time gets yelled at by Husk.

mental health update !!

so i basically haven't been alone for 30 straight days. i know everyone is keeping in touch out of concern post my moms death & i deeply appreciate it, but i have had 0 alone time. it's got me at -30% at this point i think. like im crying & stressed & moody as hell all the time -- symptoms i had when i was still realllllly mentally unwell. i'm not a threat to myself, i just could not stand to be in the house anymore. so, while my room is already currently upturned for painting & repairs , i brought myself to a hotel. not a nice one, but it's on the nice side of town. whenever i was having those really bad sh episodes i'd check myself into the e.r. mental health ward which was basically just laying on a bed with my kindle for 72 hours. obv that is expensive & never actually helped me at that point bc i was almost unsaveable where i was. but reading for hours on end & vibing really made me feel a lot better. my thought process is that i have snacks. i have my kindle and my laptop and a bunch of cross stitching stuff. i booked 6 nights away from the house so i don't have to see people unless i feel like it. so i'm gonna be around a lot bc i miss writing a lot. i miss having online space & time to do things here. just need the alone time to reacharge so i can stop processing my grief along with the fact i'm fighting 2 addictions at once ( food & shopping ) -- food was cold turkey and that has a lot of resentment &* anger attached. shopping is out of hand now. got shit to work on, you know. damn i should have gotten my workbooks from home. i mean, i still can. i live 15 minutes away. 💀
