#Ranboo is genderless and not human

I was a bit iffy on posting the Ranboo drawing, but I wanna say they are not human and have no gender in this au. I didn’t draw them wearing any clothes, but endermen don’t have or wear clothes in Minecraft so I think it’s fine? (Anyways their covered in fur like a cat) 🤷‍♂️

all of the funniest exo-mems we've had all involves me(the not host but might as well be because I'm NOT ABLE TO LEAVE FRONT BECAUSE I AM FRONT) so might as well list my favorites for now(tws- #3 mentions animal death, #5 mentions christian/religious stuff, also THAT dsmp cc got switched out to "soot" whenever mentioned so it shouldn't show on searches because these are MY POSITIVE MEMS and I'm unwilling to have his bullshit taint them)

1) c!dream source, was color blind in a very specific way- manmade things(dyes and paints) get switched around so Green looked Purple (mirrors were a nightmare to handle) this lead to me absolutely annoying the shit outta george and sapnap when I first met this: picture this all white enderian like 5 year old in a purple dress with green/purple eyes(I can never remember which they are actually) aggressively pointing at tree leaves and grass and screaming(in the positive way little kids do) at a colorblind human and a VERY confused fire demon child that the LEAVES and GRASS are PURPLE!!!! and every time you try to correct this white creature who CLEARLY doesn't know those are GREEN you get "NO THEY'RE PURPLE!!!" and the loudest giggles that prove they're messing with you,

2) c!Philza source, one of the few I have retained my nsfw organs in I have Egg Photos: this is great for 1) body is an artist (coping mechanism) 2) there's an Insane amount of soots and tommys in our system and others we know(siblings, aunts/uncles, and my own adopted and/or canonmate kids) I GET TO EMBARASS THEM ALL AT ONCE BY SHOWING ONE SET OF CANONMATE'S EGG PHOTOS AND IT'S THE GREATEST THING EVER!!!

3) there's a qsmp RUSSIAN soot source, listen to me, the fact that somehow our brain stared at that twink brittish man and turned him into some buff russian experiment who could crush a bear's neck between his thighs at 12 years old is a feat on its own. The fact he assigned it to me is a whole other feat

4) the amount of times I'm trans and/or fae

5)(context to the fae bit) our brain essentally homebrewed mcyt fae stuff(pre any/most minecraft/mcyt introjects) with our friend of 4 years- and then it took over most of our sources and headspace like Oh Man So Many Guys Who Could Kill Christian God Here (which funnily we ALSO have an introject of but he's one of our favorite protectors so we don't mind his existence he's cool) and so many opportunities to talk about the pink stabby grass and other fae bullshit THE MANY CHANCES I GET TO SAY "NO" TO HAVING REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS AND JUST BEING GENDERLESS BUT PRESENT HOWEVER!!!!!/pos

6) every (c not cc)techno, tommy, soot, ranboo, and tubbo OR ADJACENT INTROJECT BUT DISTINCTLY NOT THEM I've met has had the same "scratching here = docile rumbly mess" spots as me which I've used to my full advantage 1000% and I'm a menace because of

Okay there was enough encouragement in the comments + reblogs that I'd feel bad not giving the rant :kekw: just remember you guys asked for this.

Necessary for this to make sense, you need to get two of my very important headcanons about piglins:

'Gender' in piglin culture absolutely does not exist or not in a way the Overworld/humans would grasp it. c!Techno's gender when trying to be described in Overworld terms would probably be close to agender or at least some form of genderqueer/nonbinary.

Personal pronouns in the piglin language are nearly non-existent and it's a 'genderless' language (to the same effect as Hungarian and Tagalog). Fun side headcanon: this is also the reason why Techno says "Technoblade never dies" vs "I never die", it's a literal translation of a piglin phrase.

When Techno first came to the Overworld his default pronouns were they/them because they do not ascribe gender to him. However, a lot of people used 'it/its' pronouns for him in a /neg way, as a form of dehumanization. Because he's not human - or they don't see him as a person.

Over the years, Techno internalized this and started to kind of roll with it but also in a /neg way. Referring to themself with 'it/its' pronouns (often internally) when they were not doing well or during times of extreme stress/when they were engaged in situations where others were using them as a weapon. Somebody who was close to Techno could have picked up on this, but usually nobody was actually close enough to Techno to notice.

After meeting and befriending Phil, Techno noticed others using he/him pronouns for Phil* and Techno yoinked them. He liked that it made him feel a kinship with Phil and was something that connected them. So Techno started using he/they.

(*fun side headcanon number 2: Phil's gender is also some flavor of genderqueer or nonbinary because you don't get to be immortal and ancient without having your concept of strict gender norms completely annihilated for being silly. However, he's been using he/him since birth basically and is comfortable with that + too old to really feel it's worth changing)

Techno defaults back to it/its in a /neg way a few times during the dsmp too. Notably during Pogtopia and maybe the Butcher Army arc and a slip-up or so when Doomsday takes place. It's only noticed in that last instance, by Phil. He doesn't comment on it though, because he's not sure how to.

Then Ranboo joins the commune.

Ranboo uses any pronouns but is especially fond of they/them and it/its. Techno sees Ranboo use it/its for itself in a very /pos way.

Techno starts bonding with Ranboo, notices, and discovers they're kind of... envious? Almost. They like the way Ranboo uses it/its pronouns.

Ranboo is who ends up reconceptualizing that specific set of pronouns for Techno. He's also the first who uses it/its for referring to Techno but in a /pos way (after Techno tried it out on himself a few times and Ranboo is very perceptive) and Techno is surprised with how much he digs it. He decides to once again yoink a friend's pronouns. And thus becomes a he/they/it pronoun user.

TLDR: Techno is an agender person whose pronouns are specifically influenced by two of the most positive and trusting relationships he develops as some sort of symbolism for the people in Techno's life who actually bother to get to know who he really is and not just view him as a weapon.

Nobody is ready for my very long-winded explanation as to why c!techno shoud be a he/they/it pronouns haver but it lives in my head rent free.

Rating dsmp characters i headcanon as nonbinary based on how genderless they are (as an enby):

C!Wilbur, probably uses any pronouns bc he’s too busy to care what pronouns people use for him. Points off because he is aware of gender 7/10

C!Ranboo, canonically doesnt know what pronouns are, thinks they’re universal nicknames, probably uses any pronouns bc he just thinks they’re insignificant nicknames 10/10

C!Charlie, my totally human slimey mate yes i will dap you up, spent far too much of his life underground to know what gender is and uses all pronouns and probably some neos as well bc he gives no shits 100/10

C!Dream, too busy abusing children to care about pronouns. He’s not a boy or a girl, he’s a GOD! Points off for child abusing and hoarding attachments. 2/10

C!Tubbo, probably uses he/they pronouns because he likes the sound of them, is the one to talk to c!ranboo about pronouns. Points off for being aware of the gender binary 6/10
