Hi! You're not interrupting anything, thanks for stopping by! Yes I'd consider myself a fan of the franchise although I haven't played much of the games, I'm more invested in the characters and stories rather than gameplay (the idw comics are especially good)! Also adore the artstyle!

If you'd allow me to ramble a little longer, my top 3 characters are Blaze, Tails and Silver and my first introduction to the franchise was through Sonic Rush which I got a hold of when I was pretty small! I only have a small amount of fanmerch besides that- I doodle the odd character from time to time too! Thanks for the ask, liaminina!

My weird history with psycho

Ft. My decaying sense of what's good for me

So it was around Christmas sometime I know that for a fact

But I kinda discovered what psycho not long before it

I saw a drawing of Norman and was like oh that's neat who's that

Looked up the movie and stopped there

LATER ON

I saw a comic book (2 actually) at a flea market and bought them...because in another aisle I saw the house and was looking for horror comics based off movies

And as soon as I saw norman

"What the hell is wrong with this man I need to know more."

So I googled him

And I played the cellar scene (before ANYTHING else)

And I stared

And was like

"Holy (redacted)...I love him..."

So of course I went scavengering around for the movie (it wasn't free anywhere at this time)

Until I went to the flea market again

And I saw it

And the guy literally gave it to me like come on man that's my soulmate

Norman

Not the guy that gave it to me

So I went home and watched it

And I was a changed woman

Because now I have a hyper fixation worse than his oedipus complex

But then after that I realized there were sequels

And I looked around at movies stores around where I live

And I couldn't find NOTHIN

Until I found 3

I went home and watched it and I think the most intriguing thing about 3 was the colors

I'm sorry

But that and two are my least favorites

Only because the ending in two was silly

I would've rathered Ms. Spool going to pull the mother act on Norman and Mary shooting her

Then later on a few months later after Mary gets a house or whatever Norman goes and digs Norma up

( yes I preferred her prop )

And then three should've had a plot like 2 ( book )

And then four should've been the prequel and then in the amazing plot twist ending Norman should've lived somehow and was actually AT the radio station

Anyways

After I had watched 3 I started looking for the others with no turnup besides clips on yt

Then I stopped off at my library

Got the remastered edition of psycho

Opened the case

And there was 2/3 and 4

(They have taken the disc out since then sadly, but I ended up finding the full movie set at fye)

And uh

At the end of January 2024

Is when I actually made Norma

Sooo

It wasn't even a week after I watched the movie I bought the skeleton..

i love and hate how toxic sauron and galadriel are

on one hand: i want wholesome only in fiction real life is bad enough no angsty only happy

on the other: they manipulated each other? the crux of their relationship is "i used you as i pawn in my ambition" vs "i became obsessed with claiming you to prove my power and destroy your goodness and nobility"

like HELLO and yet at the same time they change each other for the better/worse: like sauron actually participates in SAVING people, which if he wanted to simply kill the orcs to "heal" the world that's fine but he fucking saves Elendil (the IRONY) which is like something he never would have done previously cause he's an eternal spirit being that existed before morals were created and he has no qualms about right and wrong (shown by how many orcs were implied to have been sacrificed in sauron's quest for dark power)

and i can't remember but i think halbrand subltly encourages galadriel to be like not a good person? like she's full on genocidal she wants all the orcs dead just because they're orcs (galadriel racist arc???) and halbrand by saying he wanted to stay in numenor baited her into convincing him to come? i fully believe sauron was intentionally "wanting to settle down" knowing galadriel would take it as a challenge

Finally 7 years later and I got a new phone! (The keyboard speed dudeeee, Apples definitely fucking with older versions cuz my last one would buffer sm and the way it would take years to load text was awful when I wanted to yap)

Now I gotta transfer all my brushes onto ibis paint but I’ll save that for tomorrow cuz I wanna play more Stardew with a friend (we have a farm together and I forgot how fun the game is- I don’t think we’re sleeping tonight :,] ) I also finally finished Cotl and I love Narinder and Leshy sm, I think my next drawing gonna be them or Lambert….maybe..
