Birthday - EF - Dharmesh Kumar Patel .. Ef Chitra Sinha Tuesday, 11 June .. all our wishes for this day of birth in your lives from the Ef brigade .. love ❤️
Trying desperately to fix my phone .. and what was set before suddenly changed so tried to get help from all quarters and failed .. so frustrating ..
was wanting to have English and Hindi typing , by typing in English, a Hindi word and it comes out on Devnagri .. but despite several hours of following links and experiments , I am now very close to -
BREAKING MY PHONE , BY THROWING IT OUT OF THE WINDOW !!!!
😡
no no no .. no such luck .. just letting off steam ..
🤣
so been in the company of prospective script readings and hearing various ideas and thoughts , to decide what to do next after KALKI 2898 AD, and Section 84 IPC .. to fathom the conditions from market bhujjes भज es .. which in common parlance means the genius genies of the market condition personnel .. who guide and give inputs on their reckoning what is doing well, what the cinema going audiences are liking or not liking etc., ..
Agents , management experts and the lot who run their business es on a professional level and make a living ..
hmm ..
never ever had any of these facilities in my time .. we just looked for the opportunity of another job, so we could survive the condition of running the home .. and have a living ..
now it is different ..
the next generation thinks and operates in this manner ..
I just look for another job .. and hope it comes , so our 'kitchens can run'
... and have still not got over the victory yesterday of Ind v Pak game WCT20 ..
and coming to a conclusion that the pitch at Nassau Stadium in NYC is .. well .. different .. and the scoring an arduous task .. low scores and rather unrehearsed playing in difficult to read the bowler action, quality of the ground etc., ..
And before you shut me down by wondering why I am trying to pose as a cricket buff, my apologies ..
Its just what I keep hearing from the commentary box ..
And ... the commentary box .. !!!!!???
some other time .. 🤨

Remembering Raj Khosla on his 99th birth anniversary (31/05/1925).
Raj Khosla was one of the top directors in Hindi films from the 1950s to the 1980s. He was popularly known as a 'women's director' because he showcased actresses at their best capabilities. Khosla is that rare filmmaker in Hindi cinema who handled different genres of films with equal ease while adding his own individual stamp to each of his films. Along with Guru Dutt and Vijay Anand, he was responsible for elevating song picturizations in Hindi cinema during the 1950s and 60s.
Born on May 31, 1925, Khosla initially entered the film industry with hopes of becoming a playback singer. Struggling to make it as a singer, he joined Guru Dutt as an assistant director with Baazi (1951).
In 1954, Khosla got his first break with Milap, starring Dev Anand and Geeta Bali. The film failed to create a significant impact, but Khosla's second film, produced by his mentor Guru Dutt, C.I.D. (1956), propelled him into the big league. C.I.D. was a polished crime thriller that highlighted Khosla's stylish shot-taking and innovative song picturization, elements he inherited from Guru Dutt.
As he continued to make films, Raj Khosla altered his film styles at times and added his unique touch to each genre. Never wanting to play it safe, Khosla made films that were widely different. He explored a variety of styles, including crime thrillers like C.I.D. and Kala Pani, musicals like Ek Musafir Ek Hasina, suspense thrillers like Woh Kaun Thi?, Mera Saaya, Anita, melodramas like Do Badan and Do Raaste, and dacoit dramas like Mera Gaon Mera Desh.
Films like Prem Kahani (1975), featuring the then hottest pair of the day, Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz, and another smash hit, Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki (1978), made Raj Khosla one of the most revered directors in Bollywood. He was a director who understood women and their sentiments very well. Khosla worked with eminent actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Zeenat Aman, and Shatrughan Sinha. He passed away in 1991. The last years of this director were not much attached to the film industry.
Raj Khosla was awarded the Filmfare Best Movie Award for 'Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki' in 1978.

Russia, India explore co-operation on Arctic shipbuilding
Russia and India are advancing discussions on joint shipbuilding projects in the Arctic, according to a press release by Rosatom, bne IntelliNews reports.
Russian company Rosatom announced progress after the first meeting of a working group dedicated to co-operation on the Northern Sea Route (NSR).
The meeting, held in New Delhi, brought together Russian and Indian officials, including Rosatom’s special representative for Arctic development, Vladimir Panov, and India’s Deputy Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Rajesh Kumar Sinha.
During the talks, the delegations reviewed several key areas of potential co-operation, including the expansion of Russian-Indian cargo transit through the NSR and training programmes for Indian seafarers to sail in polar waters.
Rosatom, which was appointed by the Russian government as the NSR infrastructure operator in 2018, is overseeing the federal project “Development of the Northern Sea Route.” This initiative is part of a broader plan to improve the route as a year-round transport corridor connecting Europe, Russia and the Asia-Pacific region.
The NSR is of strategic importance as it represents the shortest sea link between the western regions of Eurasia and the Asia-Pacific region. The route significantly saves time in cargo transport compared to traditional southern routes.
The company is also actively working on the Great Northern Sea Route project, aimed at creating a permanent and reliable passage that will strengthen Russia’s position as a major player in Arctic logistics.
Environmental risks
India can capitalise on the benefits in the future, especially by increasing cargo transit and maritime training. The agreement will also strengthen bilateral ties in the maritime sector and potentially increase economic activity between the two countries.
However, the development of the NSR raises serious environmental concerns, as the region’s fragile ecosystem is particularly vulnerable to pollution. The risk of oil spills, emissions and other pollutants could cause long-term damage to Arctic marine life.
Environmental groups warn that increased marine activity can disrupt habitats, with the Arctic’s harsh and unpredictable conditions increasing the risk of accidents and oil spills. This complicates disaster response efforts.
Moreover, expanding the NSR could accelerate the melting of polar ice due to greater ship emissions. Critics argue that strong regulatory measures are needed to reduce the risks associated with large-scale commercial shipping through the Arctic.

Remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s classic Bawarchi gets writer-director; Anushree Mehta to helm the adaptation
Known for directing Radhika Apte starrer Mrs Undercover, Anushree Mehta is gearing up to take the modern day adaptation of the classic Bawarchi on floors.
The chef is back and is ready to cook up a storm. Filmmaker Anushree Mehta, who made her debut with the Radhika Apte starrer Mrs Undercover last year, has now come on board to direct the Hindi remake of the loved 1972 classic Bawarchi, which was originally helmed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
The family comedy drama featured an ensemble led by actors Rajesh Khanna, Jaya Bachchan and Asrani, among others. Bawarchi was a remake of Rabi Ghosh starrer 1966 Bengali film Galpo Holeo Satti by Tapan Sinha.
The adaptation of the Hrishikesh Mukherjee feature will be the first movie out of the three-film collaboration between Jaadugar Films and Sameer Raj Sippy Productions. They will also remake timeless classics like Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan starrer Mili (1975) and Gulzar's iconic 1972 drama Koshish.
Anushree Mehta described directing the Bawarchi adaptation as a "kaleidoscopic combination" of being excited, honoured, humbled coupled with the awareness of shouldering a "massive responsibility."
She said, "When my business partner Abir Sengupta (Jaadugar Films), Sameer Raj Sippy and I decided to join hands to produce these three iconic films, we were clear that we would leave no stone unturned in remaking them with utmost love and respect. During our discussion on Bawarchi, Abir and Sameer were of the opinion that I should be writing and directing the remake.”
She added, "They were convinced that I would be able to tell the story in a manner which would make them proud. We were in sync with our vision and I whole heartedly agreed to come board as the writer-director."
Remaking a loved classic such as Bawarchi naturally comes with a huge responsibility, but Anushree said that the adaptation would echo her "confidence, honesty and sensitivity."
"The idea of retelling a film is to adapt it according to the current times and make it more relatable to the world we live in today—while keeping the soul and purpose of the original intact. Since Bawarchi itself was a remake of a Bengali film, Hrishida in his time recreated it and made it relatable to that era. My attempt is going to be with a similar intention, to retell the classic story of Bawarchi in a way that the family audiences of all age groups can watch and enjoy the movie together. I'm aiming to create a wholesome, unforgettable family experience," she added.
Anushree Mehta has finished writing the Bawarchi adaptation and hopes to get the film on floors in 2024. Casting of the film is underway, with makers looking to lock an A list star.
