Choosing the right rain suit and raincoat is essential for staying dry and comfortable in wet weather. When selecting a rain suit or raincoat, consider the material first—opt for waterproof yet breathable fabrics like Gore-Tex or PVC to prevent sweating while keeping rain out. Fit is crucial; choose a style that allows for layering without being overly bulky. For added convenience, look for features like adjustable cuffs, secure hoods, and sealed seams that enhance waterproofing. Lightweight, packable options are ideal for travel, while heavy-duty designs offer durability for rugged outdoor activities.

Caterpillar pt2
Previous - pt3
That very evening, Elliot got a firm scolding from his mother. Understandably so, he was over 3 hours late to arrive home, and his clothes were covered with dirt and smelled of something strange. Elliot was sent to his room without supper for the night. He was lucky that he had his fill from all the sweets and treats he had eaten with his new friend.
Elliot had no regrets. After a long shower, he was surprised to find that the smell lingered but had been watered down to something sweet, almost a pleasant perfume, vanilla maybe? It made him wonder if his friend would smell the same way if he was cleaned.
As the sun set and the boy laid in bed, he couldn't stop thinking about Bug, at first he felt guilty about the way he treated him when they first met, the way he seemed so disgusted by the mere action of touching him, and how rudly he reacted... it made him reflect on how he treated those around him, Bug was undoubtedly something very unfamiliar, but normal everyday people weren't... did he always have such a bad reaction, or was this a rare occurrence?
Another thing that kept him up was their appearance. From the hips up, he looked like an average chubby boy, with such soft flawless skin that Elliot could describe it as hugging a warm pillow... and an equally beautiful and sweet face, even the boys' eyes, despite looking like large reflective surfaces, but reacted strange to light, were nothing short of ethereal.
But then you look past their hips... that was the shock factor, a deep red caterpillar like body, so big that he would likely never fit through a normal doorway. And to think about their journey, the amount of times Bug had to pull tricky manoeuvres through hallways and the number of times he heard their body brush up against the ceiling... he wondered if Bug would be okay down there. How much bigger was he going to get? Would he ever stop growing? He was just a kid, like Elliot, and kids grow, so what would happen if Bug got stuck indefinitely?
Elliot stared back up to the ceiling. His chest felt tight from worry, but his cheeks flushed when thinking about... what else was he thinking about? He eventually sat up, feeling restless, he grabbed his notebook and began scribbling, trying to write down all the questions he had, maybe he would get lucky and find a way to skip school tomorrow...
And that he did, it didn't take his mother a lot of convincing, she had overslept and was late for work, so Elliot got his way.
He waited until the streets had gone quiet before pulling on his rainsuit over his clothes and making his way down the back streets. He wondered over to the blocked off stairwell, sucking in his gut to make it through the bars and treading carefully down the slippery stairs.
This was the path he took last time to get into the catacombs, and clearly, many others did too, though it was not for the same reason Elliot did. Once down there, he quickly flipped his flashlight on, looking around the damp hall. His hairs stood on end as he remembered how lost he was before... not to mention he didn't even know where his friend was at the moment... "Bug?!" He called, hearing his voice echo down the long dark hallway. Maybe this hallway was too small for him? Elliot wasn't too sure, so he ventured deeper down. And before he knew it, he was lost again, but determined to find his friend.
He was sure to bring a watch and backpack with. His idea had been to share his lunch with Bug... but by the early evening, Elliot was still searching. He had long given up and tried finding his way to the exit, but had ventured so deep into the catacombs that he had begun treading deeper and deeper puddles of water, the deepest so far had come up to his knees, and so much time had passed that he had eaten all his food.
Now cold, lost, and panicked, he finally sat down on the wet gravelly floor and sunk his head into his hands. He curled up and softly began to cry... all he wanted was to go home. His watch was at least able to keep track of the time, but his flashlight was beginning to flicker from its consistent use throughout the day.
That's when soft crunching could be heard, and Elliots head sprung up, he got to his feet immediately. Bug! Finally! He couldn't be far! "Bug!" Elliot called, his voice shaky and his legs tired, and yet he still managed to push himself to run. The crunching got louder till Elliot turned the corner, and he could swear his soul left his body.
Bug had what looked to be a human body, half stuffed waist up into his unhinged mouth, his attention was finally caught by Elliots flashlight, and a heavy thud.
The boys head spun, his eyes quickly adjusting to the dim light coming from his low running flashlight. He couldn't get himself to sit up, feeling nauseous from any movement.
Elliot had never fainted before and briefly forgot where he was. He groaned and slowly sat up. "What happened?" He asked himself, not expecting to have someone else answer the question for him. "You fainted... Elliot, what are you doing down here? Are you okay?" Elliot could feel a few gentle hands rest on his shoulders and arms, making the boy a little nervous.
"I came looking for you... how long was I-" he looked to his watch, great, his mother would be home in an hour, and he was still stuck in the catacombs. He sunk his head into his hands. "Oh no... I'm in trouble now, I'm dead. " Bug took the saying a little too literally and pressed his head against Elliots chest."What? No, I'm sure - I'm sure you're okay." Elliot chuckled, tired lying and held Bug by his cheeks, squishing them lightly "no I'm fine, it's a figure of speech... but I do need to get out of here. My mother will be extremely upset if I'm not home in an hour... will you help me? Please"
Bug sighed softly. "I can help you, but I won't be able to go the same way as before." He pulled the boy up, looking him up and down, Elliot was like a doll to him, he place Elliot on his back, taking note of how tired and pale the boy looked compared to yesterday, something was wrong with him, was this what happened when humans stayed in the dark for too long?
Elliot held onto Bug, letting his head rest on their soft back, his flashlight wasn't much use now, but it was still nice to see around himself, until he saw a shoe... a single shoe. Elliot suddenly remembered what he had seen that made him faint, and quickly slid off Bug's back to throw up in a nearby puddle. He couldn't believe he saw that!
Bug looked over to Elliot and his heart sank "Elliot are you-" "don't touch me!" Elliot demanded in a rather rash voice, he could still feel himself needing to gag every now and then when the mental image flashed before his eyes.
"Bug what... what were you eating?" Elliot asked while slowly looking at Bug, both nauseous and scared just to look at him. "... a body?" Bug answered meekly, Elliot sounded upset, but why? He was only doing what he was supposed to.
Elliot limply sat down against a wall, his face now proper pale "a body... a human body?" "Yes.." Bug scoots a little closer to his friend, resting his head on the body's knees. "Are you mad at me?" Elliot felt conflicted to answer. If he was honest and said yes, he'd get asked why, and reminded that Bug was merely doing his job, if he said no, he'd be lying to his innocent friend, who didn't know any better...
"I'm just... disturbed, I don't feel so well, I was supposed to stay home today but instead I spent the entire day looking for you"
Bugs eyes widen and hold his friends hands. "I'm so so sorry! I didn't know you'd be coming to see me today, I didn't think you'd come back at all really"
Elliot both felt a little better and even more guilty than before. "It's my fault, I should have told you. I didn't know how to find you, and I was too stubborn to turn back..." he suddenly got glomped by Bug's massive soft body, lifting him off the wet graveled floor while being squished by the oversized softie. "Shut up, it's not your fault, let's just... not do this next time, I want to know when you're coming, or else I will just keep wondering around and not know you're here"
Bug began to sniffle, holding Elliot at eye height. "I don't want to eat your body." Oh boy, and there came the waterworks. Elliot wasn't great at consoling people and hadn't done it in a hot minute, but he tried his best to do so. "I would have found you eventually. You're a big guy." he says while gently rubbing Bug's head. It seemed to work enough that Bug quickly calmed down.
"Yeah, you're right, just don't... don't do that again, okay?" He looked to the path Elliot came from and decided to follow it, taking a much shorter path and eventually making it back to where Elliot had entered!
Elliot gasped. "This is it! This is right by my house!" He looked up to Bug and chuckled softly. "You can let me go now buddy" he did wonder, though. Could they meet up here in the future? Bug didn't seem to be struggling along any pathing, and it was the closest entrance to Elliots home. This would be perfect.
"Um- Elliot?" Bug says while scooting back a little."Will we... be able to see each other again?" Elliot nods and takes his friends hand."we should meet here every weekend! Come look, I'll show you my house!" he ran up to the stairs and looked excitedly towards Bug."Come on! It's okay, nobody's here" he beckoned Bug over and the two stared onto the streets, Bug had a hard time adjusting to the light and had to squint quite hard to see anything.
"Look, you see that yellow house over there? That's my place- what are you doing" he asked as his friend hand completely covered his eyes with his hands "It's too bright" Bug whined "but its evening" granted the sun was still setting, but they werefacing away from it, he hadn't taking into account just how sensitive Bug was to any light...
"Well, you'll see me here tomorrow. Will that be okay with you?" Bug nodded while still covering his eyes. It looked quite comedic to Elliot.
Elliot gently reached over and kissed his cheek "thank you for saving me... again" he said with a shy smile and then got up "I have to go now, see you tomorrow!" "S-See you!"

what each of the stark kids used to play with as children:
jon&robb: hardcore lego children, they always payed together lego ninjago and would never let out an episode. they watched it together every evening on toggo. they also loved lego starwars but because catelyn forbade them watching it they listened to the audios of it on cd and read every starwars book in they’re city library
sansa: she had lots of different play tings, barbie, lego friends, dolls, schleich, polly pocket and silvainian family but her favourite thing was playmobiel, she had the big house and all the sets for inside. she and jeanie would watch together family vogel on youtoube (shout out to the germans) and tried to play the storylines out with sansas sets. and also they hated family houser
arya: when she was younger sansa would force her to play dolls, but after time arya tried to play with jon and robb. they didnt let her play with them because she would destroy theyre “battle strategy” from the stormtroopers, so her hyper fixation became dinos! she would have every dino figure you could think of and she would tell you about every single one of them, she had dino tshirts and a dino rainsuit like this:

bran: was an outdoor kid, but after he “fell” he started playing minecraft and since then is extremly fascinated by it.
rickon: nerf. but then bren was in the coma no one had time for him and his nerf guns so he got an ipad to play a little bit roblox but since then no one has seen him without it. catelyn is deeply ashamed that she made an ipad kid.
theon: played with his brothers water bording, he was the victim. once asked his father to play dolls with him and asha, he hit him

How to Choose a Rain Suit & Raincoat
How to Choose a Rain Suit & Raincoat
Choosing the right rain gear is essential for staying dry and comfortable during wet weather. Whether you're commuting to work, hiking in the mountains, or simply need a reliable layer for rainy days, understanding how to choose a rain suit and raincoat can make all the difference. In this article, we'll guide you through the key factors to consider when selecting rainwear to keep you protected and comfortable.
Why Choosing the Right Rain Gear Matters- How to Choose a Rain Suit & Raincoat
Rain gear isn’t just about staying dry. It also provides protection from wind, improves comfort, and can even enhance your safety by making you more visible in poor weather conditions. With so many options available, knowing what to look for can help you make the best choice.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Rain Suit
When selecting a rain suit, consider the following factors to ensure you get the best performance and comfort:
1. Material and Waterproofing
The material of your rain suit determines its durability and waterproofing capabilities. Look for:
Gore-Tex: Offers excellent waterproofing and breathability.
Nylon with DWR (Durable Water Repellent) Coating: A budget-friendly option that provides adequate waterproofing.
PVC: Very waterproof but less breathable, making it suitable for short-term use or heavy rain.
2. Breathability
A good rain suit should allow moisture from sweat to escape while preventing rain from getting in. Breathability is crucial if you plan to be active in your rain gear.
3. Fit and Mobility
Ensure the rain suit provides a comfortable fit without restricting your movement. Try it on with the layers you plan to wear underneath to check for a proper fit.
4. Weight and Packability
Consider how easy it is to carry your rain suit when not in use. Lightweight and packable suits are ideal for hiking and travel.
5. Additional Features
Look for features that enhance usability:
Adjustable Hoods: For better rain protection.
Ventilation Zippers: To help manage body temperature.
Reflective Strips: For added safety in low light.
Choosing the Perfect Raincoat
Raincoats come in various styles and designs, each suited to different needs. Here’s what to look for:
1. Purpose and Use
Identify the primary use of your raincoat:
Casual Wear: Lightweight and stylish options for daily use.
Outdoor Activities: Durable and functional designs with features like extra pockets and ventilation.
2. Length
Raincoats come in different lengths, each offering different levels of coverage:
Waist-Length: Offers mobility and is ideal for active use.
Hip-Length: Provides a balance between coverage and freedom of movement.
Knee-Length or Longer: Offers the most coverage, suitable for heavy rain and urban use.
3. Insulation
Decide if you need an insulated raincoat for warmth or a shell that can be layered:
Insulated: Provides warmth and is ideal for colder climates.
Non-Insulated: More versatile, allowing you to layer according to the weather.
4. Seam Sealing
Check if the raincoat has sealed seams, which prevent water from seeping through the stitching.
5. Style and Color
Choose a style and color that suits your personal preference and the intended use. Bright colors and reflective details can enhance visibility in poor weather.
