i love your writing so much !!!! itâs kinda similar to another story you have but i was wondering if i could request your take on the twisters scene towards the end when tylerâs leg gets stuck under the debris in the town square ?? like reader is the one running over to him completely worried & stressed because her man is hurt đĽş
Not leaving
Pairing: Tyler Owens x Reader
Summary: Y/N races to save Tyler, trapped under debris after a tornado, refusing to leave his side until he's safely rescued.
Chapter Warnings: Intense storm danger, injury, descriptions of pain, and emotional distress.
The town square was a scene of devastation, the aftermath of the tornado leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Buildings were reduced to rubble, cars overturned, and debris scattered everywhere. The air was thick with dust, the scent of rain and earth mingling with the acrid smell of smoke from a nearby fire.
Y/Nâs heart pounded as she navigated through the wreckage, her eyes scanning the chaotic scene for any sign of Tyler. The last time sheâd seen him, he had been trying to help a group of people take cover in a nearby building. But when the tornado hit, everything turned to chaos, and sheâd lost sight of him.
âTyler!â Y/Nâs voice cracked as she called out, desperation lacing her tone. She clambered over a fallen tree, ignoring the sting of a cut on her leg, her only thought to find him, to make sure he was okay.
Suddenly, she spotted himâpinned under a massive piece of debris in the middle of the square. His face was pale, and he was struggling to move, pain etched across his features.
âTyler!â Y/N screamed, rushing to his side. She dropped to her knees next to him, her hands shaking as she reached out to touch his face, to reassure herself that he was still there.
âY/NâŚâ Tylerâs voice was strained, his breath coming in short gasps. âIâm⌠Iâm stuck.â
Y/Nâs eyes filled with tears as she took in the sight of his leg trapped under the heavy debris. She could see the pain he was in, the way his hands clenched into fists as he tried to fight it.
âIâm going to get you out of here,â she promised, her voice trembling but determined. âJust hold on, okay? Iâll get help.â
She looked around frantically, but everyone else was either injured or already helping others. There was no time to wait for someone else. She had to do this herself.
âStay with me, Tyler,â Y/N said, her voice tight with emotion as she crouched down and tried to lift the debris off his leg. It was heavy, far too heavy for her to move on her own, but she didnât care. She wasnât going to let him suffer, not for one more second.
Tyler groaned in pain as she strained against the weight, tears slipping down her cheeks as she gave it everything she had. But the debris barely budged, and she could see the anguish in his eyes.
âY/N, stopâŚâ Tyler managed to say, his voice hoarse. âYouâll hurt yourself. I⌠Iâll be okay. Just go get help.â
âIâm not leaving you,â Y/N choked out, shaking her head. âIâm not leaving you here, Tyler. I canât.â
She tried again, her muscles burning with the effort, but the debris still wouldnât move. Frustration and fear clawed at her, and she let out a sob, her hands trembling as she gripped his.
âPlease, Tyler⌠just hold on a little longer,â she whispered, her tears falling onto his skin. âHelp is coming, I promise.â
Tylerâs hand squeezed hers weakly, his eyes softening despite the pain. âIâm not going anywhere, Y/N. I promise.â
Finally, she heard the shouts of other rescuers approaching. Y/N turned to see a group of first responders rushing toward them, their faces grim as they took in the scene.
âPlease, help him!â Y/N cried out, stepping back to let them work.
The rescuers quickly assessed the situation, then moved in with tools to lift the debris. It felt like an eternity as they carefully freed Tylerâs leg, Y/N watching with bated breath, her hands clenched tightly together.
When they finally managed to lift the debris, Tyler let out a pained groan, but Y/N was there in an instant, holding his hand and whispering reassurances. They quickly stabilized his leg and prepared to move him to safety.
âYou did it, Y/N,â Tyler murmured as they lifted him onto a stretcher. His voice was weak, but there was a faint smile on his lips. âYou saved me.â
Y/N leaned down, pressing a kiss to his forehead, her tears of relief mingling with the dirt and sweat on his skin. âIâm just glad youâre okay,â she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. âI couldnât lose you, Tyler. Not now, not ever.â
As they loaded him into the ambulance, Y/N climbed in beside him, never letting go of his hand. The storm had passed, but the fear of losing him still lingered, a shadow over the relief she felt at having him alive and safe.
âJust rest now,â she whispered, her thumb brushing over his knuckles gently. âIâm right here, and Iâm not going anywhere.â
Tylerâs eyes fluttered closed, exhaustion overtaking him, but his grip on her hand remained firm. And as they sped away from the wreckage of the town square, Y/N knew that no matter what storms they faced, they would face them together.
Requests for Tyler are open be free to send in as much as you wish!

SAFE PLACE
hello everyone! i am back :) i have recently fell down the kate martin hole ( if you couldnt tell already) and decided to write. i have been working super hard in clinics and classes since you last heard from me, so i hope this isn't too rusty! love you guys!
warning: fingering (r receiving), oral (r receiving), making out, nipple play
i think that's it? let me know!
my divider is from here!
as i sat in my car with tears rolling down my face, i didnât know who to call. the rain was pouring, a perfect parallel to the emotions flowing through my body. my vision blurred and my tears welled just thinking about it.
i had just been on a date. needless to say, it did not go well. i had been continuously let down by every man i deemed well enough for my attention. i guess i was just bad at picking âem out.Â
it always ended the same way.
âwanna come to my place?â
dtf?âÂ
âohhh cmon. donât be a prude.â
i couldnât even gather my thoughts about the night as i scrolled through my contacts list. i was searching for somebody - anybody- that could provide me with any sort of comfort. however, i knew there was only one person who could make me feel better.Â
kate martin.Â
as much as i hated to say it, the girl had a comforting aura around her. something about her just drew me in every single time. imagine a bee to a flower or a moth to a flame - that was kate and me.Â
our past was patchy, the ups and downs of our so-called âfriendshipâ had blurred the lines for boundaries too easily. whether weâd end up making out, staying over, or doing much worse, each time would end with one of us being heartbroken.Â
but i didnât care right now.Â
i needed her scent and her eyes. i needed her hands and i needed her mouth.Â
i needed kate.Â
my fingertips scrolled relentlessly to the bottom of my text messages, finding the abandoned chat from a month or two ago.Â
tears splattered on my phone as i pressed the call button and brought it to my ear.Â
it rang once.Â
it rang twice.Â
it rang three times.
âhello?â kate answers.Â
âhey. kate im so sorry for calling you but i-,â i stopped as tears continued to flow down my face.Â
âyou know my address. just come on over. itâs just me here.â
god kate, i could kiss you.Â
âthank you,â i whispered.Â
i hung up the phone and placed my forehead on the steering wheel. thoughts of another night with kate kept creeping into my mind. the good ones and the bad ones.Â
nonetheless, i put my car and drive and headed her way.Â
every time i thought the tears were done, another pool of them welled in my eyes. every time i thought about my past few dates, my heart felt a pang of sadness.Â
i tried to push the tears and thoughts away as i reach kateâs apartment door, but my pathetically light knocking reminded me of how sad i really was.Â
i stood in front of her door for a few seconds, trying to keep it together until i was in the comfort of her home.Â
i heard the lock clicking and the door opened. kate stood there, worry filling her eyes and her face full of pity.Â
i looked up at her, letting the tears fall down my cheeks as she pulled me into her apartment and engulfed me in a hug. her arms squeezed around my waist as mine wrapped around the back of her neck. i cried into her, tears staining her iowa t shirt.Â
âim so sorry for calling you,â i sobbed, backing out of her embrace. i wiped my eyes with my hands, trying any attempt to get rid of the nonstop tears.Â
âi know we said weâd never do this again. iâm so sorry i just didnât know who else to call-â i was cut short as kate held my face and gently kissed me.Â
i placed my hands on her waist, my body savoring everything about her. the kiss was soft and sweet, full of love. there was no hunger or sinister desire about it - just pure comfort and affection.Â
my eyes fluttered open as she moved back, her thumb wiping a falling tear off my cheek.Â
she gently smiled and looked at me with her bright blue eyes.Â
âyou and i both know that we need each other more than we let on,â she said, sighing.Â
i leaned into her hand, my heart finally feeling at ease. she stroked my face with her thumb before pulling me into another hug and kissing me lovingly on my head.Â
she led me over to her couch with her hand on the small of my back.Â
âbefore i ask you to be my girlfriend, tell me all about the horrible date you went on.â
i paused, stopping in my tracks. kate turned me to face her, her hands moving to my hips. she smiled at me before speaking again.Â
âi know things have been rough between us ; on both ends.âÂ
her hands move to cup my face as she brings me closer.Â
âbut i cant seem to get you off my mind. ever.â
now, i seemed to notice how good she looked. her hair was down, her eyes wide as she stared into my own.Â
i smiled up at her as tears kept falling from my eyes. she leaned in slowly and kissed me. the kiss was sweet. it was filled with love and care and tenderness, everything she felt in her heart.Â
all for me.Â
i kissed her back slowly, feeling the despair and sadness in my heart melt away. she was so warm, so comforting. her fingers slid into the back of my jean pockets as she breathed in through her nose.Â
my hands hesitantly wrapped around her neck, tangling in the roots of her hair.Â
then suddenly, she was everywhere. gripping my ass, attacking my mouth with her tongue and pulling my body impossibly closer to her.Â
i broke the kiss quickly, looking at her wide-eyed. was this really something that we should be doing?Â
i pushed the thought out of my head hurriedly, the impulsiveness of her actions sending heat straight between my legs. then, she leaned down and began to kiss me again. she gently put her hands on my waist and backed me into her room.
she flipped me around and pressed me against the door-shutting it. her hands were traveling everywhere fast. she was on my waist, my breasts, my ass, etc. you name it and she was there.Â
i gasped out quietly as she began to leave sloppy kisses on my neck. i leaned my neck back, allowing her more access. she grinned against my skin.
âno man,-â she panted.
âwill ever,-â she said, her fingers tugging on the bottom seam of my shirt. she leans in to continue kissing me.
she pulls my shirt off smoothly, her fingers digging into the exposed skin on my waist,
âmake you-â she kisses me again.
âfeel like-â
her hands reach around to the clasps of my bra, her mouth moving to my neck.Â
she takes my bra off effortlessly, the material falling to her floor along with my shirt.
â-this.âÂ
her eyes travel down to my breasts.Â
i reach for her shirt seam as well pulling it over her head, i notice her sports bra and her toned abdomen. my fingertips trace up the sides of her body and swear i felt my mouth watering.Â
as if something snapped in me, i push kateâs shoulders until her legs hit her bed and she sits down. i crawl on top of her, sitting in her lap.Â
âyouâre so pretty, kate,â i whisper.
she smiles and brings her hand to the back of my head, pulling my lips to hers.Â
i open my mouth invitedly, her tongue slipping in and fighting for dominance with my own. the fight for control caused kate to moan in my mouth. her hips buck up against mine, the friction causing me to tug on her hair.
âyou like that?â she whispers against my lips. our noses touch and i open my eyes, looking straight at her. i nod my head frantically, encouraging her to keep going. her hands grip my hips, holding me down against her thigh. she starts to move my body back and forth, grinding my body against her thigh.
the friction is enough to make me throw my head back, and i feel her grip me tighter.Â
âgod youâre so perfect,â she whispers. then, she stands up and switches us so sheâs on top of me.Â
sheâs quickly unbuttoning my jeans, wasting no time on teasing.Â
âdamn, kate. are you excited or what?â i ask, laughing.Â
she looks up at me, staring me in my eyes.Â
âi havenât tasted you in months.â
i donât respond, instead i lift my hips up so she can pull down my jeans and underwear. im completely naked under her, something sheâs admitted she likes before.
she crawls up my body, my legs parting and wrapping around her as she leans down to kiss my breasts. she kitten licks one of my nipples, her other hand harshly groping the other breast. my back arches due to the pleasure, a pornographic moan escaping my lips.Â
i feel her teeth slightly graze my nipple again before she switches sides. i can practically feel myself pooling between my legs.Â
she slowly licks down my torso, stopping to give me kisses on my inner thighs. i can tell sheâs leaving hickeys, another thing she likes to do.Â
âkate stop it,â i plead. i needed her now.Â
my hips bucked upwards, her hands aggressively holding me down as she placed a singular kiss on my pubic bone, then another on the spot where i needed her most.Â
i look down at her, her blue eyes already staring into mine. her tongue darted out, hardly grazing me.
i snap my head back, my thighs subconsciously trapping her head.Â
then, she moves one of her hands from around my thighs, and she slips a finger into me.Â
before i can even make a sound, she begins to eat me out and fuck me with her finger at the same time, adding a second.Â
i moaned her name, my face scrunching up with pleasure.Â
âkate ohmygod,â i breathed.
she moved her head from side to side, my pleasure increasing tenfold - if that was even possible.Â
she took my ankles and set them both on her shoulders, pulling me closer against her in the process. i knew she could tell i was close. she started moving faster and curling her fingers inside of me.
âkate please,â i begged. i didnât even know what i was asking for. she felt so good.Â
i felt her hum against me, completely sending me over the edge. pleasure ripped through me as my stomach twitched as i came down from my high. her hands moved to my hips again, holding me down as she cleaned me up with her mouth.Â
i stayed laying flat on her bed as she crawled on top of me. she took her fingers and placed them in my mouth. i sucked on them, tasting myself.Â
she smiled wide and licked the mess off her lips.
âyou wanna be my girlfriend?"

Can you write a gambit fic please. Like I need it to be the most heartbreaking angst you can think of that leads to the most tender of sex scenes please? Like kiss hugs tears tender sex???? Please đđ thank you â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
"Come back to me."
pairing: Reader x Remy LeBeau "Gambit" tags: nsfw, angst, tender sex, kissing, sweet aftercare Prompt: Reader feels dejected and heartbroken after Gambit gets sent on mission that could very well end up killing him. Reader begs him not to go, but Remy knows he has to. Reader runs off to get some space but Remy ends up going after them, leading up to some serious confessions and sweet make up sex.
Thank you @littlekidsteve for requesting this! This one's for you!
"Wait! Mon ami, please!" Remy was reaching for you but you had ran passed him, dashing out into the pouring wet rain.
"How could you think this wouldn't hurt me?" You cried, letting the rain mix with the tears streaming down your face. You took one last look at the man that you loved endlessly, unrelentlessly even, before wiping furiously at the tears pouring down your cheeks. This had hurt you. It made your chest ache with sorrow and anger. You were pissed with him.
You felt as if your world had come crashing down. The rain couldn't have been more morose, mixing with your own tears, drowning you in sadness. A flash of lightning sparked in the distance, causing a deep roar of thunder, colliding with the heavy footsteps you left trailing far behind you.
You didn't care where your feet took you, only that you needed space and you needed to get far, far away. Xavier's Institute was becoming farther and farther from view the more you ran. You felt like your throat was constricting. It was as if you couldn't breathe. The very air in your lungs felt heavier with each breath and sob that escaped your lips as you left Remy standing alone in the courtyard of the mansion.
Of course you knew he'd have to be put in situations like this, but you were just a human with no special powers. He wasn't. But dammit if you didn't love him any less. That's what made this so unbelievably more painful. You never cared about the whispers or stares on the streets from ignorant people who disapproved of humans getting involved with mutants. Remy was your person. But this felt like an act of betrayal on his part.
You could make out the scenery before you just a bit through hazy eyes. The lake lay just before you in the clearing, rain droplets pattering down violently on the water's surface. Any other day, you and Remy would've come out here to get some alone time with each other but today wasn't just any other day.
You dropped to your knees on one of the huge rocks overlooking the lake. You proceeded to let out every emotion you'd bottled up into your hands and knees as you swayed back and forth, sheets of water encasing your clothes and soaking you to the bone. You were a mess of a human being right now, feeling as if the world was crashing down on you and in a way it was.
You let out an ear piercing scream over the lake, echoing through the onslaught of pouring precipitation. In the midst of your breakdown, you almost didn't hear the sound of footsteps violently rushing towards you against the wet ground in your direction.
You didn't have time to react before a pair of warm arms had engulfed you, pulling you into that familiar scent you'd come to know and love. You knew it as the scent of comfort that could only be Remy's.
"Dammit chere! Don't run off like that ever again!" Remy pleaded half angily, pressing so tightly against you that you could hear the erratic beating of his heart.
"I ran like hell to get to you," he uttered tearfully. "I-I can't leave things like this with you, mi amor."
You pushed him away, scornfully gazing into his eyes. "But you are! You're leaving first thing in the morning for some stupid mission that I may never see you return from again!"
He looked away, bitterly cursing himself for making you feel like this.
"You know Gambit ain't got no choice, chere. Have a little more faith in me, s'il te plaĂŽt..." he begged, desperately trying to get you to see reason.
"Remy, you don't know what it's like! I can't go with you on these fucking missions! I can't protect you. I'm powerless! I'm useless and I can't do a damn thing about it!"
Your eyes were red and swollen from crying so much. This wasn't just any mission. This wasn't some 'stop a burglar from stealing a purse' or 'rescuing some lady's cat from a tree' kind of mission they were going on.
No.
Gambit and the rest of the X-men were being sent to take down an army of sentinels from barging into the city and killing every mutant in sight. This had been planned for weeks ever since Cyclops caught wind of it happening. You knew what those giant robots were capable of and it terrified you.
"But what if you don't come back? what if the only way I have of finding out that you died would be on the news, Remy?! I just can't live with that! I can't!" you shook, sobbing as your face fell downcast, burying your hands in your face again. You hated crying in front of him, although this was probably the first time he'd ever witnessed you having a panic attack like this.
"Gambit won't go down without a fight, darlin'. They could cut me, bruise me, or even skin me alive but they'll never take you from me. You'll always have a spot right here mon ami." He gently took your hand in his and placed it over his own pounding heart.
"You are what keeps this ol' heart o' mine beatin'. I promise for as long as I breathe chere, I'll live for you, breathe for you. You can bet on that," he caressed your cheek with his other hand, moving some of your hair that had matted to your face. His words were honest, truthful. There was not a single hint of a doubt to his sincerity in those words.
You placed a hand over his, more tears blending in with the rain that kept steadily falling against your skin.
"You are beautiful, mon ange..." his lips found yours, kissing you with such carefulness and tenderness that you didn't know just how badly you craved with such ferocity in that moment.
You threw your arms around his neck, pulling him closer to you. The rain had caused the rock to be slippery, sending Remy down on top of you but it never broke the kiss between you both.
You whimpered into the kiss, not wanting to him part from you because if he did it felt as if you'd lose him forever and right now you just couldn't handle that revelation. No, not yet.
His hands caressed the damp skin under your wet white tee shirt. He pressed his fingertips hard against your flesh, surely leaving indentations but you didn't mind. He needed to feel you and make you feel alright and safe in that moment with him.
His lips trailed to your jaw, then the soft skin of your neck, before trailing sweet kisses against your heated skin. His stubble tickled your skin pleasantly as you bit gently down on your bottom lip, letting your eyes close and revelling in this moment with him. Oh gods, how were you going to send him off tomorrow?
Your arms were still bound tightly around his neck, hands kneading into his long wet hair and tugging gently, eliciting a small moan of pleasure from Remy. You knew he loved the feeling of your hands on him.
He stopped kissing you only for a moment to look you directly into your eyes. He needed you to hear these words.
"Let me have you right here, chere. I don't care that it's rainin' cats and dogs on us. I want to feel you and I know you want the same."
He didn't have to say another word before you pulled him into you again, bringing your lips to his in affirmation. You were both panting by the time you pulled away. He sat you both up for a moment, allowing himself to pull that sorry excuse of a shirt over your head in such neediness. You nipples had already been peeking through your soaked shirt, showing through the thin white cotton.
This did something to him in a feral way, but he knew he needed to hold back for your sake or he'd never be able to leave.
He hadn't been wearing a shirt when he'd found you. You were both clad in only your shorts now and Remy had the urge to pull yours off immediately.
He started leaving hot kisses up your thighs as lips dragged up your wet skin, taking his time with you. You moaned, needing him like never before.
"Mind if I take these off?" Remy looked up with a half lidded gaze.
You shook your head, urging him on. You lay bare beneath him, letting him massage your breasts, softly and tenderly as he kissed you like his life depended on it. You hadn't even noticed that he'd discarded the rest of his clothes while he was letting your tongues caress each other, just allowing the two of you to feel each other.
The rain was coming down much heavier now. Somehow, that only made the two of you cling closer to another.
"May I?" he asked permission huskily in your ear.
"Please," you shuddered.
He entered you slowly, easily. You let a soft moan escape your mouth before he muffled it with another precious kiss.
"Even hell couldn't keep me from coming back to you, mon ami. You're my everythin'." He whispered sweetly between thrusts. This wasn't hardcore sex where he'd usually have you screaming his name for the entire school to hear. He wanted this to last. He needed it to last for both your sakes.
"I need you to know somethin' chere."
He moaned, feeling your walls clenching around him as you enclosed your legs around his waist. You found yourself drowning in him now. Instead of drowning in your sorrows, you were drowning in his love for you. That real, sincere love that only movies were made of. You'd be damned if anything ever took this man away from you.
"I love you," you both said in unison. He laughed in disbelief before grinning into another sweet graze of your lips against his.
You could swear you saw his eyes brimming with tears as he made love to you. His thrusts picked up pace just a bit as your mouths were still lovingly attached. He was getting close and he could tell you were too just with how your body was reacting to his.
His eyebrows furrowed, panting as he felt intense pleasure closing in on him. You always felt amazing but for some reason you felt especially good around him right now. It was probably the onslaught of emotions that came pouring out of both of you moments before, but it made the situation ever so much sweeter.
"Come back to me Remy," you pleaded, eyes locked on his as he opened his eyes to lock with yours. You searched his eyes and he gave you nothing but the utmost sincerity back in them. Those beautiful unusual eyes of his were all it took to have you coming undone.
He was getting close by the way his hand gripped your waist, thrusting one last time as own sexual relief flooded through him.
Your legs squeezed even tighter around him, feeling him release intensely inside of you with a low groan.
The rain had started to let up until finally ceasing altogether as the two of you sat side by side by the lake.
"Care for a swim cherie?"
Remy held out a hand, leading you into the lake, the full moon just rising above the horizon encasing the hot evening in glittering stars. Not bothering to get dressed, you figured a skinny dip couldn't hurt seeing as the both of you wanted as much time together as possible.
"No amount of stars in the sky could measure up to your beauty," he held you from behind as moonlight cast a glow over the both of you.
You couldn't help but smile back at him before wrapping your arms over his as you kissed him passionately.
"I meant what I said. I love you Remy LeBeau."
"And I you, mon ami. I promise I'll come back to you. That's a promise and Gambit always makes good on his promises."

cw: angsty. breakup mention. based on this song.
Everyone wishes they could go back to the beginning of a love affair, and perhaps if you were ever afforded the opportunity, youâd rewind to many years ago, when Suo first smiled at you and asked for your name. Perhaps you would have smiled just as politely and given him an alias or a nickname that wouldnât grow as familiar as your name did eventually in his mouth, or come up with some sort of false appointment to help you leave the soiree.Â
It's not like you could have known.
Your friend had told you he was a good man, and by all intents and purposes, he is one - kind, considerate, devoted to serving the community heâs a part of, perhaps at a time devoted to you - but now you are trying to erase desperately every memory youâve shared, as if the endless harsh scrubbing of your body touched by him, as if rough fingers on your scalp and searingly hot water will melt every mark of him on your soul.Â
This is a no-fault end to a love affair. He assured you it was him, not you, and plus, you both wanted different things, heâd reminded you, holding your fingertips the entire time over the coffee table so you wouldnât shake or cry in public. Youâd nodded, as if in a trance, his lips forming words that you had no choice but to agree with, even if soon you could barely hear what he was saying from the rushing of blood in your ears.
Suo doesnât want you anymore. Did he ever want you? Did he ever love you?Â
No fault. You did nothing wrong, you just grew apart, and adults do not force square pegs into round holes, they let each other be free to explore and be nurtured by the communities they serve and fall in love again, as many times as it takes to find the connection that fits and lasts.
It doesnât matter how long you scald yourself under hot water, the love wonât fade away.
âŚ
You hear your now ex has left the country from your friends a couple of weeks later, and youâre none the wiser. You donât stop to think more about why, because youâve cried enough times that the part of your brain that processes him and his person is now numb, and all you can do is nod, even if people are surprised to know you werenât aware.
You have no details to share.
Itâs not you, itâs him, after all.Â
A year passes, and six months prior to this has you trying to date again by incessant coaxing from your friends, but the curse of being dumped with no explanation and the love of your life disappearing without a trace seems too daunting to move past. You call a crush Suo by accident and donât even realize until heâs frowning at you as he pays the check, and finally you give up, wondering if something about you has been permanently altered.
Itâs been a year and radio silence. No social media updates to even stalk (he always thought private life should stay private) and you had too much pride to ask his friends (if even they knew).
Only time would fix this and in your late 20s, you wonder if eventually youâd run out of time.Â
âŚ
Suo resurfaces in the middle of the night, dry despite the rain, save for his cloth shoes. He looks like heâs finally come up for air once heâs seen you, and itâs a miracle youâve even opened the door, but heâs like an apparition, and you need to reach out and touch him.
You havenât thought about him all week.
Men like him always appear when youâre trying to move on, donât they?
âI missed you,â is the first thing that comes out of his mouth, and you know heâs telling the truth. You donât reply, and he doesnât say anything further, as if heâs waiting for you to slam the door on his face.
You donât. All you do is say, âItâs not me, itâs you.â
His face turns to steel for a moment, and you can see him turn into the ghost you were expecting for a moment.
He whispers your name and you look down at his feet.
âTake off your shoes. You have exactly ten minutes.â
When your eyes meet his again as you look up, theyâre filled to the brim with thankful tears, more emotion than youâve seen in years.
Indoors, tonight, youâll decide if there is still a fate that connects you, while the breeze and the moonlight outdoors remains constant.

the end of the world
tom holland x reader âĄ
two lovers that reached the end of the relationship.
she was sunshine and he was midnight rain
It was clear from the beginning that two lost souls would find their way in the Milky Way. It was evident that the pair of chocolate-brown eyes would be fixed on the girl's, whose eyes were filled with teardrops sparkling like stars.
Love seemed to dissipate from their presence, replaced by hurt and pain that gnawed at their insides instead of the butterflies that once fluttered around them on the nights they met. The birds ceased their songs on their favorite Saturdays, and their tea tasted as dull as their shared kisses.
Young love is often portrayed in movies as pure innocence, building upon their emotions and the desire to understand their hearts, but they rarely depict the harsh realities of the real world. In reality, it marked the end for them.
Their love is lost in the air, not be founded in their hearts that were stringed.Â
Y/N always thought their love will be like Amyâs and Laurieâs, or like Elizabethâs and Mr Darcyâs. An undeniable love that was stronger than their words. Yet, perhaps these were words she was too blinded to perceive, or maybe they were simply absent, unheard by her ears.Â
Tom always believed that their love was pure, strong, and transcendent, beyond the reach of the stars. He struggled to find words to capture the intense emotions that surged within him whenever he laid eyes on the girl of his dreams, the embodiment of the perfect world he envisioned.
However, he gradually came to realize that this was merely a fantasy, detached from the reality in which he found himself trapped.
It was one of those rainy nights in London when the city's sparks were veiled by raindrops. Y/N always found herself reflected in the rain; she adored the scent it carried and the melodic patter it painted upon the earth. It was one of those nights when she would coax Tom outside onto the streets, where they'd listen to their favorite 60s playlist and dance in the rainâa silly clichĂŠ that they held dear to their hearts.Â
However, tonight was the end of their world.
Their soaked clothes clung to their chilled bodies, as not only did the world darken around them and the raindrops fall heavier and heavier, but so too did their hearts. What was once a yellow world now turned blue.
"Why do you have to let me go, Y/N? I donât understand!" Tom cried out, his words aimed at Y/N, whose eyes reflected the rain. "I know, and I will be forever grateful for everything you've given me," she replied. "But we'll only continue to hurt each other if we stay together." Y/N licked her lips, which once tasted like Tom's, but now bore the bitter tang of salt and regret.
"I would give up everything just to be with you. I-I'm sorry for my absence, but this new lifeâthe acting careerâit's all so overwhelming for me, and you know it.â Tomâs eyes were shining of hope and desperate need of Y/Nâs warmth.
Some things remained unchanged, but as soon as Tom became the golden boy of Hollywood, his life transitioned from its former purity into one illuminated by the spotlight. The stage was now his domain, his face adorning posters, TV/cinema screens, and magazines. He was everywhere.
Y/N remained grateful and supportive of his acting career, finally seeing him recognized as the talented young man who once dreamed of playing Billy Elliot or auditioning for Romeo multiple times.
He was now acknowledged by the world, although he had always been seen by her.
His world.
Yet, as with every fairy tale, not every story concludes with a happily ever after, where the princess and the prince marry. Just like Y/N and Tom..
He changed. He was still Tom Holland, but he wasn't the same Tom. Y/N saw it coming but chose to ignore the spotlight, waiting backstage for him. But he remained in the center of the stage, basking in the attention and affection of the crowd.
Y/N, once the midnight rain, found herself overshadowed by Tom's sunshine. But tonight, as their world comes to an end, their roles reverse.
"It's not that you're physically absent, Tom, here in London or beside me. It's that I can't seem to find you anymore. We're living in different worlds now, and there's no room for me in yours. I wish I could express this differently or see things from a different perspective, but..."
Her gaze met his, witnessing his tears mingling with the rain, his trembling not just from the cold, but from the pain. She knew that saying goodbye would only make it harder.
"Please, don't say that... Sweetheart, I can change. I'll change. I'll be the same person I was before, I promise!" His hands tightened around hers, afraid to let go.
"I will always love you, Tom, but I have to let you go. Not just for your sake, but for mine too. It's time for both of us to find our paths again."
She stepped closer, delicately brushing her hand against his cheek, her lips meeting his for the last time.
Perhaps not forever, but for now.
And as she walked away, Tom didn't realize it was the end of their world.
It ended when she whispered, "Goodbye."
this story is very much inspired by the song: the end of the world by skeeter davis.
I hope u like this angst! âĄ

Nanami Kento lives a very stressful live. Every year as he ages, the blonde man feels his shoulders ache a little more when Winter comes along, he finds himself showing less emotions, get more cranky at small things like the rain. His eyes narrow at the rowdy teenagers on the late night train, inching and inching closer to snapping. As he makes his way home, Nanami Kento wonders whether it is age that makes him this way, or is it his own self that makes him age?
"I'm home", he calls out to a home that is supposed to be empty.
But then a sweet scent fills his nostrils and then you appear at the other end of the hallway, wearing a fluffy Christmas dress.
"Kento, you're home~!", you rush over to greet him.
He doesn't spare anytime, throwing his wet coat and scarf aside before drowning himself in your scent. You smell like cinnamon rolls, sweet and buttery with a hint of vanilla. And Kento just wants to eat you up until there's nothing left, until you reside with him forever.
"I...I thought your business trip was for two weeks?", you hum rubbing his sore back, "I finished early, knowing that I had a cranky orange cat waiting at home."
He scoff, but doesn't deny it, because the moment you entered his arms...Kento feels vitality return to his withering soul. You feel like the most delicious treat on a snowy night, a sugar rush pumping through his veins. The blonde man can't help but bite into your plush cheeks, maybe brown sugar and icing will just ooze out of you.
Suddenly a timer interrupts the two of you, "Ah! The rolls are done!", and he follows you into the kitchen.
His eyes scan the feast that you've prepared on the dining table, "Look how perfect they are!"
While you marvel over the fluffy rolls that look picture-perfect, the blonde man eyes' never leave their target. You in that body-hugging sweater dress, all he wants to do is unroll the layers and taste your sweetness. And that's what he does.
Silence falls between the two of you as Kento towers over with darkened eyes, you gulp gaining an idea of what he wants. Sparks fly as he slowly corners you against the counter and perverse hands shamelessly glide across your figure. Your thighs tense against each other and you watch as he falls to the floor with a thud, your trembling eyes reflecting his hungry actions.
He slowly pushes your dress up and groan, no underwear and all ready for him to devour. The blonde man is starving, for your softness, for your vanilla icing, for your sugary cries. Kento is usually very neat, but tonight...he is the messiest eater. Everything, he wants everything you can give, everything you have, the gluttonous Nanami Kento will devour it all.
You're so sweet, just like the cinnamon rolls going cold on the side. But don't worry, Nanami Kento has the largest appetite tonight.
Hi Lovelies, long time no see~
Hope you enjoyed this short but sweet treat! (ŕšáľâ¤áľŕš)(ŕšÂ´>á<)~*

Look At Me | Scud Frohmeyer x Fem!Reader
Summary: Scud never wanted you to get hurt. If he had known what would happen, he never wouldâve let you out of his sight. However, there was nothing he could do to change what happened, and he could only hope that you could keep your eyes open long enough until he could help you.
Genre: Angst.
Warnings: Swearing, blood, injuries.
Word count: 1.1k.
A/N: Is Scud potentially ooc in this? Yes. Do I care? Not really. I need some soft!Scud in my life. Also, I just had a lot of feelings and placed it into this as a way to feel a bit better. I think this is the first story Iâve ever written that had a âcliffhangerâ ending. Might expand on it, might not. Guess yâall will have to wait until next Saturday to see. Anyways, (not-so) happy Scud Saturday!
Joshua âScudâ Frohmeyer was rarely a serious man. He had a care free spirit and a positive outlook on life. You would rarely catch the stoner without a huge grin on his face. It took a lot for him to drop his happy, free spirited demeanour.
So when Scud was unable to crack a joke to lighten up the dire situation you were in, you knew that your predicament was worse than you would have liked.
âShh, itâs okay. I got you. I got you. Youâre gonna be just fine, Baby. I promise.â
Despite his attempts at reassuring you, your whimpers of pure, unadulterated agony did not cease, nor did your shivers from being absolutely soaked from the rain you had been carried through to get to the van. However, the man that held you within his own soaked, shivering embrace could not find it in himself to blame you. Those vampires that had kidnapped you had done quite the number on your emotional and physical well-being, so it came as no surprise that you were unable to hide the extent of your pain. And each turn and bump of the vehicle the half-blooded day walker was driving only further accentuated your misery. Scud tried his absolute best to try to keep you as comfortable as he possibly could, but his attempts were proving to be futile.
âIt hurts,â you cried, tears streaming from your eyes. Your battered and bruised form screamed in protest when you tried to move to make yourself more comfortable, punishing your efforts by sending out more waves of pain through out your body. âJosh...â you trailed off with a quiet whimper, your hand tightening its grip on your boyfriendâs bigger one.
In answer, Scud gently rubbed his thumb over your bruised knuckles, pressing a soft, tender kiss to your forehead, his other hand continuing to put pressure on your wound. âI know, Baby. Just hold on a bit longer, okay? Weâre almost there. Weâre gonna fix you up real good, I promise.â
You could not find it in yourself to argue with him. You could feel your eyes growing heavier with each second that ticked away on the metaphorical clock, the darkness luring you to its comforting depths like a sirenâs song. The blood that gushed from the horrible wound in your abdomen dripped down onto the floor of the van, making you acutely aware of the reality that your injury wasnât as minor as Scud had tried to make it out to be. You attempted to bring yourself into a seated position to peer down and examine the true extent of the injury Scud had his hand pressed against, but your boyfriend stopped you.
âNah, donât look at it,â he told you, his eyebrows furrowed together. Never before had you seen Scud look quite so serious. His light, care free attitude had been what made you fall head over heels for him in the first place. It took a great deal for him to lose his usual nonchalant demeanour, so that was all the confirmation you needed that you were in a dire situation.
Not that you needed that as confirmation, however. Your aching body already did quite the impressive job of telling you so regardless.
You let out a small, bitter laugh, the action sending a wave of pain throughout your body. âIâm going to die,â you whispered, your previous laugh being contradicted with the tears that fell from your eyes.
That comment sent Scud into a spiral. He vigorously shook his head at your statement. âYou ainât gonna die. Not on my watch.â He inhaled deeply, closing his eyes for a moment to compose himself. He willed the tears that formed in his eyes away, well aware that you needed him to be strong. However, when he opened his eyes again, his heart stopped when he saw your eyes begin to droop. âNo. No, look at me. Just look at me.â He gently grabbed your chin in one of his calloused, work-worn hands and forced you to look at him. âStay with me. Donât close your eyes. Think of something to keep you awake.â
âLike what?â you asked him softly. His hand fell away from your face, his arms instead wrapping around your shoulders and pulling you into him.
Scud desperately wracked his mind to come up with something. Then, something clicked in his mind. âWhatâs my word of the day?â
His word of the day. Despite the fact that the man had the brains of Einstein when it came to conjuring up bombs from body lotion and talking about whatever came with fixing up vehicles, you had quickly realized that he oftentimes used words in the wrong context. So in exchange for being taught how to build flamethrowers and other cool things that came with it, you vowed to help improve his vocabulary.
You tried to wrack your hazy mind for a word you had yet to use, thankfully landing on one you, too, had only recently discovered the meaning of. âAbstruse,â you managed to murmur.
âAbstruse?â Scud repeated, his head tilting to showcase his confusion, an action you always found too adorable. âWhatâs that mean?â
You hesitated for a moment, attempting to recapture your breath that was steadily shortening. âIt means âdifficult to understandâ.â
âOh. Think you can use it in a sentence for me?â
You knew what Scud was doing. He was doing everything in his power to keep you awake. âSure,â you wheezed, a cough wracking through your body. You knew that wasnât a good sign, but you chose not to comment on it. Thinking about your current predicament would only make you spiral. Your tears hadnât stopped, but had slowed down considerably, possibly due to the fact that the pain in your body had given way to a woozy feeling insteadâanother sign that you werenât going to last much longer. âSo, uh, abstruse. âYour handwriting made the letter abstruseâ, so basically, âyour handwriting made the letter difficult to understandâ...â you trailed off, your eyes drooping closed against your will.
Scud let out a small chuckle at that. âIs that supposed to be a jab at my handwriting? Yâknow Iâve been working on improvinâ it, Sweetheart.â When you didnât respond, Scud looked down at you. His heart stopped when he saw your closed eyes. âY/N? Baby?â He gently shook you a couple of times, desperately trying to wake you up, but to no avail. âY/N!â His heart began to pound against his chest. He leaned forward and hit the metal of the van a couple of times. âB, ya gotta hurry the fuck up! Now!â He turned his attention back to you, the tears now falling freely from his cerulean eyes. He put more pressure against your wound, hoping the action would somehow managed to wake you up. âDonât worry, Baby. I got you. Youâre gonna be just fine.â
Scud just sincerely hoped that he would be able to keep his promise.

CANDY RAIN
Pairing: fiancĂŠ!chris X fem!reader
Summary: every time y/n or Chris cries during their wedding
Warnings : fluff? , emotional asf (imo idk)
Chris
Y/n
Matt
Nick
Nate
Madi
âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..
1. The first time you cried during you and Chrisâs wedding was when you were getting ready. It was a stressful process of course because you had no idea how Chris would react to your hair, dress, or makeup. But then you remembered that he most likely wouldnât care about how you looked if he clearly loved you enough to not only get engaged to you but to also go through with marriage also.
âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..
2. As soon as Chris saw you walk down the aisle he started tearing up âwow.â He whispered to his best man who had unsurprisingly been Nate. âI know right.â Nate had whispered back just before you reached the altar. Chris had always knew he would get married but he never thought it would go like this. Not that he wasnât happy or anything he just didnât expect you to look so good. Or for you to be the one heâd be getting married to in the first place.
âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..
3. Everyone at the wedding started tearing up once Chris exchanged his vows they were sweet and you could tell he meant them and so could everyone else. Of course he sniffled during them a few times but that didnât matter because they clearly came from a place deep down inside of him and thatâs all that mattered at the end of the day.
âWow youâre good at thisâ you sniffled a few times before going over your vows. They were somehow even cuter than his. Maybe because youâd been thinking about this day for years and heâd only been thinking about it for a few months. Nonetheless it was a cute moment that nobody at the wedding would ever forget about.
âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..
4. (Idk if this happens at weddings bc I just thought of thisđ)
Both you and Chris started tearing up a little as you invited your friends to come up and share their statements about you guysâs relationship.
âNever in my life did I ever think Chris would get married and especially not before me.â You giggled as Chris rolled his eyes âbut obviously Iâm still very proud of him for being able to find someone that loves him so much that they could tolerate him as much as I do. And maybe even a little more and Iâm obviously proud of y/n for being able to tolerate Chrisâs disgusting and annoying habits. Everything else aside Iâm very happy that Iâve been able to see this relationship grow into what it is now. I really do wish both Chris and y/n the best of luck in their relationship and futures and I also promise that Iâll be there for you guys every step of the way.â Everyone clapped and cheered as Matt walked off and sat back in his spot.
Nick then walked up and started speaking âas much as Iâm mad at Chris for stealing my best friend Iâm very happy for him at the same time. Not only because he managed to get into this relationship but also because he managed to stay in it for this long. Iâm very excited to see how far this relationship goes.â Everyone cheered as Nick then walked off with a smile and a thumbs up.
You were super excited to hear the next speech.
Madi walked up with a smile on her face and tears running down her face which almost went unnoticed as she quickly wiped them away.
âAlthough Iâve only known y/n and Chris for a few years I can proudly say that they are the most cutest couple ever. Not only because they match eachother so well but also because theyâve shown me what true love really is. In my opinion they are my Mickey and Minnie Mouse because not only are they insanely loyal to each other but they also work great together as a duo. Like for example if y/n forgets a special day then luckily she never has to worry because Chris would have already had things under control.â Madiâs voice started to break as she started tearing up. âIâm just very happy that I get to witness such a perfect couple reach so many achievements together. I wish y/n and Chris nothing but the best for their entire lives together.â We all clapped as Madi walked off and Nate walked up.
âThis oneâs gonna be good!â âShhh!â
âNever in my entire life did I ever think Iâd be able to see Chris get married. And especially not to someone as amazing as y/n and definitely not in such an amazing way as this.â Nate started tearing up which was rare. âEver since me and Chris were little kids weâd always talk about stuff like this. Our weddings, our kids, what weâd name our kids, what our kids would look like, which one of us would actually have kids.â You saw Chris start to tear up. It was clear that just hearing those few words that heâd enjoy Nateâs speech the most âIâve never been more proud of Chris in my life. I also wanna say thank you to y/n for making Chris the happiest man ever. I remember when you guys had just started dating and he would text me saying stuff like âbro sheâs the oneâ or âI really wanna marry this girl Nate.â And Iâd start laughing because for some reason I never though he was serious but now that Iâm here right now standing infront of him as heâs sat next to the love of his life I just wanna congratulate both of you guys.â He then expertly threw a bouquet of roses at Chris and Chris caught them.
âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..âŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ..
Okay I ran out of shit to sayđ

What if MC used the Night Dagger on themselves?
I've always wondered about what would happen if Simeon showed up a second too late? An AU.
Rest assured that I will make a happy ending đĽ˛
Spoilers: Lessons 35, 37-38
Warnings: intense emotions, bleeding, death
Characters: Lucifer, Mammon, Leviathan
A/N: This pained me so much to write đ
Lucifer
Lucifer was right there when the dagger was thrusted into your chest.
He froze, shocked and saddened. He felt his memory returning, but at what cost? MC's life?
He stared down at your lifeless form at his feet, the floor spattered with red.
Luci collapsed onto his knees next to you. Tears started forming as he fought to keep them in. He looked at you and gave up, tears pouring like rain down his cheeks.
How long had it been since he cried? Why was it after MC's death?
Lucifer returned to his room after a while, eyes red from crying. MC was gone. You were gone.
He could never forgive himself. He was right there, holding your hand, but why didn't he stop you? "This is all my fault..."
The Morning Star, Avatar of Pride, Diavolo's right-hand man, Lucifer, had lost his one and only pride; you.
He couldn't bear face his brothers after what had happened, although no demon blamed him.
Lucifer buried himself in work, so he could focus on something else other than you. Or so he hoped.
He visits the underground tomb every single day, praying with all his heart that you could forgive him, and for you to find happiness wherever you go, just like Lilith.
Mammon
Mammon rushed over to your room after hearing the news.
His heart stopped when he saw you lying on the floor, red stained floor and all.
He could barely process everything. Just yesterday they were playing cards and having fun, now you were gone from his life.
"MC... MC!! No...no, nononono! This can't be happenin'! Ya can't leave me now! Ya can't! Ya just CAN'T!!"
No being in the three realms had ever heard Mammon scream so loudly. His whole body was shaking as he tried to shake you awake. As if some miracle would happen and you'd come back to life...
Nothing, you were gone.
He was devastated. He had no reason to keep making money if you weren't around. Who could he show Goldie to now? How could he be the Avatar of Greed?
Mammon locked himself in his room, the door never opened during the daytime since that faithful day.
Only at night would that very door be opened, silently making his way to the underground tomb.
He had taken your favorite flowers, and placed them beside your resting place.
"MC... I miss ya so much..."
He whispered those words every time he was leaving, after he told you about his day. Mammon puts a note in every bouquet of flowers he gives you, each one saying a similar sentence; "Please come back to me..."
Leviathan
Once Levi saw in the group chat that you were gone, he immediately froze.
What happened to you? How? What? Why?!
Why did it have to be you? His Henry, his Player Two, his Normie! It isn't fair!
He went over to Henry 2.0, whispering about what happened to the little goldfish.
"Henry, MC... You know them? That human who comes over sometimes. They're, gone..."
Leviathan sighs, and stares at his monitor. The script for "With Me" is on the screen. A photo of the one he gave you.
He hurries over to your room, picks up the script, and displays it on his favorite shelf.
Placing Ruri-chan figurines next to it, he sighs once more.
"I'm just a worthless shut-in otaku, MC wasn't. Why did it have to be them?!"
It takes Levi a lot of self-control not to summon Lotan, but he leaves a short remark on the script.
"To my Henry, my Player Two, my Normie. This one's dedicated to you."

â ââââââââââââââââââ â
Tears rolled down your cheeks as you exited Jisungâs apartment building, your body on the verge of collapsing as your emotions choked your breathing, your heart feeling as if it had just fallen and shattered inside your chest. Each breath you took caused the emotional pressure on your chest to hurt more, feeling as if your airways had been constricted by your own agony.Â
The dreary, rainy weather matched your mood as your legs carried you into the direction of Minhoâs apartment, knowing it was the only place close enough for you to walk to at this time of night. The rain began to strengthen, the drops attacking your skin as your hair and clothes soaked it all up, a cold wind causing your body to shiver as you stumbled up the steps to Minhoâs apartment. Your fists hurriedly knocked against the door, hoping Minho would somehow be able to sense the urgency behind it as your lips trembled in a poor attempt to stifle your cries.
Minho opened his door, his eyes widened at the sight of your distressed face, grabbing your hand and pulling you inside his home without a second thought, âY/N? What happened? Are you okay?â
You tried to respond, but all that came out of your mouth was a gut wrenching sob, your body finally deciding to give up on maintaining appearances as you conceded to the stabbing pain your heart just suffered.
Minho stood there with panic rising in his body as he tried to piece together what couldâve left you in this state, unsure on how to comfort you in this moment. âHey, itâs okay now, Iâm here. Why donât you take a shower and Iâll let you borrow some clothes? Iâll make you some tea in the meantime and then we can talk.â
You nodded thankfully at Minho, sniffling as he led you to the bathroom, handing you a bag to place your drenched clothes in, as well as a neatly folded pile of fresh clothes and a towel.Â
You entered the shower, letting the water warm your shivering body that had just been brutalized by the cold rain. Your tense muscles slowly began to relax under the heat of the water, giving you a much needed respite from the weight of your emotions. Despite the momentary calm the shower gave you, tears still escaped your eyes, blending in with the water that cascaded from the showerhead.
After drying yourself and changing into the clothes Minho had given you, you found him sitting at the kitchen table with two mugs of tea waiting to be drunk. He smiled when he noticed you approaching, almost relieved to see how significantly calmer you had looked. As you sat down, he slid one of the mugs towards you, motioning for you to take a drink.Â
âDid the shower help?â
You brought the mug to your face, blowing it gently to cool it down while nodding, âIt did, thank you,â tears still pricking the corners of your eyes.
âDo you want to talk about it?â
You placed the mug down on the table, taking in a sharp inhale as your chest tightened at his question as you recalled Jisungâs words, tears, once again, making their presence known. You did your best to get through your words, but your quivering voice revealed the hurt you were experiencing, âWell, I was with Jisung before I cameâŚâ
You squeezed your eyes shut in a feeble attempt to hold back a sob, âAnd I thought everything was fine, but out of nowhere,â you tried to rush through your sentence, but the overwhelming anguish you were feeling took control as you began to bawl.
Minho instinctively reached for your hand that was resting on the table, rubbing his thumb on your hand to soothe you, âTake your time, we have all night if you need, okay?â
Taking a few more moments to collect yourself, you continued on, âOut of nowhere, he told me he didn't think we were going to work and I⌠I donât know, I just left. I feel so stupid right now,â you cried, your eyes puffing up from all the tears you were shedding.Â
Minho remained quiet for a moment, confused at his best friendâs actions while trying to find the right words, âDid he say why?â
You sighed while shaking your head, feeling guilty that you had let your panicked mind take control of you in that moment, âN-no, I didnât even give him the chance, I just⌠Left⌠I donât know, I just didnât want to hear it. It was only going to make me feel worse and it just felt like he led me on, like all the rumors were true,â you weeped, âI shouldâve listened to Hyunjin and Seungmin.â
âIâm sorry Y/N, it mustâve been a lot to take in at once,â he spoke softly, still leaving a comforting hand atop of yours, âBut I donât think youâre stupid, thereâs nothing wrong with taking a chance at love.â
âI donât know, Iâm just really sad right now.â
âThatâs okay, youâre allowed to be. Is there anything I can do that would help you? Do you want me to call anyone over? Get you something to eat?â
You sniffled, nodding your head, âCould you see if Hyunjin and Seungmin can come over? But please tell them what happened, I donât wanna say it again.â
âOf course, Iâll do that right now.â
âAnd can you check on Jisung? He was⌠he was crying a lot when I left. I want to make sure heâs okay too.â
Minho smiled, âOkay, Iâll have the boys come over and then Iâll head over to his place once they get here. Sounds good?â
You nodded, feeling grateful for Minhoâs kindness and patience, but also relieved to know that Jisung would have someone to talk to soon enough.
â ââââââââââââââââââ â
Minho lightly knocked on the door of Jisungâs apartment, anxiously waiting for the younger boy to open the door, his phone in hand ready to call if he took too long. From the other side of the door, he could hear hurried footsteps scramble towards the door as Jisung swung the door open, his face red and swollen from crying.
Jisungâs eyes widened in surprise and confusion, the hope he had in his eyes disappearing, âMinho? What are you doing here? I thought you were Y/N-â
âThatâs why Iâm here.â
âHuh?â
âThey showed up to my place crying and told me what happened.â
âOh,â Jisungâs face fell into a somber expression as he tried to stammer out an explanation, âLook, listen, please donât be mad-â
Minho shook his head, letting himself in and gestured to Jisung to follow him in as he sat on the couch, âIâm not mad, Iâm worried.â
Jisung gulped, unsure where this conversation was leading as he sat next to Minho, his brain exhausted from the millions of emotions he had been flipping through.
âJisung, I thought you loved Y/N-â
âI do! I really do, I love them more than anything and anyone, I know that for a fact,â he sighed heavily as he felt his heart tremble in his chest, the pit of guilt growing deeper and deeper, âBut Iâm scared, Iâm really scared.â
Minho let out a deep breath as he ran his hands through his hair, perplexed at his best friendâs words, âOf what exactly?â
âOf hurting them! Of not meeting their expectations, failing them, all of it. Iâve never been a good partner in the past, everyone knows this,â he muttered out each word with shame, âAnd I just didnât want to ruin their image of me, I didnât want to risk hurting them like Iâve done to everyone else⌠Theyâd be much happier if we were just friends.â
Jisung tried to blink away his tears, struggling to put in everything he was thinking into a coherent string of words as he nervously scanned Minhoâs face, trying to figure out what the older boy was feeling.
âOkay, I can see where youâre coming from, but didnât you just hurt them anyway? Didnât you just do the opposite of what you wanted to?â
Jisung stood silent for a moment, not being able to deny any of Minhoâs words, âWell, yes, but it was for the best. Itâs better to end it now than later because it would hurt more then, right? I would rather hurt them like this than fail them as a partner.â
âI say this with all the love in the world, but Jisung, youâre being an idiot.â
The two stared at each other, waiting for one to make a move. On one end, Minho was hoping Jisung would be able to realize the stupidity in his behavior, while on the other, Jisung was completely dumbfounded and awaited Minho to further explain himself.
Realizing Jisung was too wrapped up in his own thoughts, Minho continued on, âJisung, look. Everyone knows how much you love Y/N, okay? Itâs so obnoxiously obvious, plus Iâve never seen you be so caring and attentive to anyone before. Clearly, they hold a special place in your heart, right?â
Jisung nodded timidly, letting out a small hum in agreement as that was all he could manage while he silently wept.
âItâs okay to be afraid, especially with what youâre struggling with, but just because youâre afraid doesnât give you the right to make that decision for Y/N,â Minho leaned forward as he looked into Jisungâs eyes as he tried to convey the importance of his message, âDid you even think to consider how Y/N would feel? They know about your past, Jisung. Even Hyunjin warned them about you, but you know what? They still took that risk with you, and you were quickly proving them wrong before now.â
Minho sighed once more, âJisung, itâs okay to be afraid, but you cannot make every decision so selfishly when there are other people involved. Y/N isnât dumb, but they like you and want to take that chance with you. They like you despite your insecurities and flaws. You shouldâve told them how you were feeling, but most importantly, theyâre allowed to make their own choices. Let them choose to love you, donât take that away from them.â
Wiping his tears away with his hands, Jisung jutted out his bottom lip in a pout as he sniffled, âThey⌠they probably hate me now, I think itâs best I leave them alone.â
Minho rolled his eyes as he got up from the couch, still looking at Jisung, âJisung, why donât you stop assuming things for other people and find out from them directly?â
âBut-â
âY/N told me to check on you because they were worried. Just talk to them. If you truly love them, youâll talk to them.â
With hands in his pockets, Minho made his way to the front door, âI have to go home, but you better talk to them. Iâll be really disappointed in you if you donât.â
After Minhoâs sentence, all that followed was the sound of the door shutting and the soft cries of Jisung, who was being eaten up by both guilt and anxiety, fearing how angry his friends must be at him. Part of him felt relieved that Minho was the first person he spoke to as his words brought him some sort of comfort, yet the overwhelming remorse and humiliation roared loudly in his mind.Â
Doubt and confusion lingered in him as he processed Minhoâs words, unsure if youâd even be willing to talk to him after this. In his world, he thought after the hurt he had just inflicted on you, he was even less deserving of you. His irrational behavior and his instinct to react based on his fears and insecurities served as more proof that he was not fit for a relationship, that you were better off with someone who had a better grasp of who they were and what they wanted.
Yet, while he thought what he was doing was for your benefit, he hadnât considered once how youâd feel and how this would impact you, especially considering how you both were practically acting like a couple at this point. Especially after he told you he needed more time, but then completely flipped that on its head and left you out in the cold with no real explanation. Minho was right, he was only thinking of himself, this wasnât him being merciful and saving you from him, this was entirely him avoiding to confront himself. He was fleeing his own vulnerability and masked under some sort of self-righteous sacrifice for you. Much like in the past, he allowed his own selfishness to blind him from reality of his emotions and actions, but at least he was somewhat aware of it.
While Jisung cannot find it in him to forgive himself, he wondered and hoped whether you would, whether youâd look past his mistakes once more and accept him for who he was. He prayed silently that youâd still give him the chance he so desperately craved, yet so foolishly pushed away in the name of fear, wishing youâd still choose him when he didnât know how to do that himself. Maybe what he needed all along was your neverending affection to finally learn how to love the parts of himself he hated, maybe he needed your gentle hand to guide him through love, maybe he shouldâve trusted you while he learned to trust himself again. Just maybe, he would be able to learn what love was truly about if he had just listened to his heart, not his own negative self-hating mind.
â ââââââââââââââââââ â
Meanwhile, an extremely rageful Hyunjin and Seungmin sat with you on Minhoâs couch as they tried to comfort you in sweet, hushed voices, doing their absolute best to keep their anger to themselves. Hyunjin held you in a tight hug as you cried into his chest, his chin resting on top of your head as a comforting hand rubbed your back in gentle circles. Despite the kindness of his actions, his face was a stark contrast as a scowl painted over his features, mentally cursing at himself for letting you get involved with Jisung and not doing a better job at deterring you from it.
Seungmin, on the other hand, was holding back as he bit his tongue, keeping any thought he had to himself because he knew if he opened his mouth, a fountain of expletives would pour out. He knew the last thing you needed right now was him speaking poorly of Jisung, even though he thought he deserved every angry world he had in his arsenal right now.Â
Through gritted teeth, Hyunjin softly mumbled, âIâm sorry, Y/N, this isnât fair to you. You deserve better than that.â
Hiccuping, you whispered, âBut I don't want anyone else, I still want him even if heâs being a stupid idiot.â
âWell, he made his choices. A bad one, but all you can do is move forward from it,â he sighed, silently communicating with Seungmin through indignant looks.
All Seungmin could do was hum in agreement, not trusting himself enough to keep his thoughts to himself as he cracked his fingers in frustration, thinking about how he was going to rip Jisung a new one the next time he saw him.Â
The front door clicked open, signaling that Minho had gotten back which caused you to sit up from Hyunjinâs embrace as you looked at Minho, tears staining your cheeks. The sight of your face had only made the flames of anger flicker more, serving as the perfect fuel for his seething body.Â
âBefore you ask, yes, heâs okay,â Minho ressaured you as he made his way to the living room, shooting both Seungmin and Hyunjin a warning look as the two boys quickly hid their vexed expressions from you. You gave Minho a grateful smile as you, for the nth time that night, wiped your tears away.
âI talked to him too, heâs probably going to message you sometime tomorrow to talk things over if youâre open to that.â
You were about to respond, but Seungmin spoke before you could, âIs that a good idea?â
Minho glared at him, âSeungmin, think before you speak.â
Seungmin shrugged, choosing to look down at his phone, but then Hyunjin added, âI mean, he isnât wrong⌠I think Y/N should have some time to process their feelings at the very least.â
âAre you Y/N?âÂ
Both Hyunjin and Seungmin shook their heads nervously knowing theyâve upset the older boy, âThen that isnât your decision to make. Let Y/N do what they feel is best. We all know how you guys feel about it, so please donât make this any more difficult for them than it already is.â
The two boys muttered a quick apology to you, not wanting to add any more stress to your current situation, but you knew they only had your best interest in mind and wanted to protect you from any more hurt.Â
âItâs okay, thank you for caring for me, but Iâd like to talk to him,â you said gently, giving the two boys a reassuring smile, âIâll be okay, I can hold my ground.â
Seungmin sighed, âWhatever, just say the word and Iâll beat the shit out of him if it doesnât go well.â
âIâll verbally beat him,â Hyunjin added, causing you to giggle at the seriousness of their tones since you could never imagine them physically harming any living being. And, as if on cue, your phone vibrated, lighting up with the message:
hi, im sorry about earlier. can we talk tomorrow?
â ââââââââââââââââââ â
Across from you sat a nervous Jisung, who was fidgeting since the moment he entered your apartment, his fingers tapping the table anxiously as he struggled to find the words, not knowing if there was anything he could say to truly convey how sorry he was. You stared at him from his seat, arms crossed with an expectant - yet patient - look on your face. Ten minutes had gone by since he had arrived, and not a single exchange of words had been made, and you were growing tired of it.Â
âJisung, please say something.â
The boy froze his seat, his body tensing, not expecting you to say anything to him, âI-...â he paused for a moment, taking a shaky breath in, âI just do not think there are enough words in the world to express to you how sorry I am and how ashamed of myself I am.â
Tears began to well up in his eyes, his legs once again bouncing as he tried to get the words out, âItâs just a lot for me, I donât know. I know my feelings for you are like nothing Iâve ever felt before, I know that I want to be with you more than anything in my heart, butâŚâ he sighed heavily, running a hand through his soft locks, âIâm really scared,â he whispered so softly, you barely caught it.
It was your turn for your eyes to water, your heart taking a hit as your eyebrows furrowed sympathetically at Jisungâs words. Although you can recognize his fears and could only guess where he was coming from, it didnât take away from the pain he caused you and how much it affected your trust in him.Â
âCould you explain to me what youâre scared of? I want to understand.â
The concern etched on your face and the genuinity behind your eyes makes Jisung fall in love with you all over again, seemingly making him melt under your gaze as his heart swells. But just as quickly as the affection rushed into his heart, also came the insecurity and negative thoughts that endlessly reminded him how undeserving he was of someone so considerate and selfless.
Jisung shook the thought out his head, reminding himself of what Minho had told him the day before, âIâm scared that Iâll hurt you. I have⌠well, you know, Iâve hurt my previous partners in the past and Iâm terrified Iâll do the same to you,â he murmured, guilt lacing each word, âIâd hate to do the same thing to you, I wouldnât be able to forgive myself and even now I donât know if I can.â
Part of you felt relieved to hear those words from Jisung, now knowing his reasonings were not due to a lack or loss of feelings, or did it have anything to do with your looks or his attraction to you, but rather he was battling his own bouts of insecurities. The other part of you felt guilty for assuming the worst in Jisung and not giving him a chance to explain himself initially, you felt terrible for thinking he was only having fun with you and leading on. The expression on his face told you everything you needed to know about him, and that was him being sincere with every word he spoke. He truly did care for you, he wanted the best for you, and was genuinely struggling with his own complex emotions.
âJisung, itâs okay to be afraid. Trust me, I am too. I know about your past, even way before I even met Minho or you, but the person Iâve come to know is nothing like that. Youâve changed in the best way possible, I fell and still am falling in love with you everyday.â
Jisungâs eyes widened in shock when he heard your words. All his mind could focus on was how you heard about him way before you joined the team, you knew about every horrific thing said about him when you two first met, yet⌠You didnât treat him any differently like others had, you gave him a chance to fully know the kind of person people thought of him as, you still⌠fell in love with him? Wait, did he hear that right? You love him too? Love?
How could it be possible, how could someone like you possibly love someone like him? How did you manage to see past all his ugly personality traits and still managed to fall in love with him? Oh, no. Did he trick you? Had he accidentally fooled you into thinking he was a better person than he actually was ever capable of being? Oh my, Jisungâs brain was short-circuiting as he started to panic, losing any sense of rationality he had.
Your warm hand resting on top of his caused him to break out of his stupor, his wide eyes softening around the edges at your loving expression and oh, how much he adored seeing himself in the reflection of your eyes filled with affection, a sight he swore he could die in.
âTalk to me, Jisung. Tell me what youâre thinking. Iâm here for you, I wonât leave your side as long as you let me listen.â
âI⌠Youâve heard about me before you even met me?â
You laughed, âYes, I did. Honestly, I thought you were a real asshole, but Iâm glad I gave you a chance anyway. I donât regret meeting you for a moment.âÂ
His mouth fell open, still processing each word, âEven after I hurt you?â
âWell, I know now you meant no harm. This is hard for you, I can understand that. I also understand being afraid. What you did hurt me, but I love and care for you too much to let that ruin something between us so long you give us the chance too.â
Each word you spoke was as if a love spell was being casted on him, bewitching him completely as his heart began to pound faster, butterflies warming up the pit of shame he had been carrying with him this whole time. Your words enveloped him into a gentle embrace, so tactful and ginger with his soul, so perfectly chosen that it felt like you were healing cracks in his heart he didnât even know existed. Oh, how could he have ever been so stupid to push away love so saccharine and addicting? He never knew love was truly like, but now he didnât want to ever let it go, he wanted to relish under his warmth as long as he possibly could.Â
âReally? Do you really mean it?â Of course he knew the answer to that already. Just one look into your eyes, and he could see that you were offering him every part of you and a lifetime of love, and heâd be a fool to ever doubt you.
âI do. I mean it with everything in me.â
Your honey-coated words left him in a blushing mess, nervousness still present in his body, but all for a much different reason. Your sincerity excited him, yet it also filled him with anxiety, the fear of disappointing you looming over him, convinced he had tricked you into falling for a false image of him.
âBut⌠What if I hurt you again? What if I disappoint you? What if I turn out to be as bad as everyone said? Iâm not as good as you think I am, Y/N, really I-â
âJisung.â
He stopped in his tracks, biting the inside of his cheek as he felt your hand squeeze his reassuringly.
âWe are two different people, with two entirely different life experiences. Yes, eventually, youâll hurt me, and Iâll hurt you too. In relationships, we are bound to upset one another, but what matters is how we approach those situations,â you whispered softly, scooting your chair closer to him, âI donât care who you think you are because I love you for you, and I think youâre the most wonderful experience Iâve had. You can be afraid all you want, but I promise Iâll hold your hand through it and show you that youâre worthy of that love.â
As you scooted your chair next to Jisungâs, both your hands reached to cup his face, wiping away the tears he had shed, âI promise. As long as you let me, Iâll be here for you. Even if you donât trust or believe in yourself, can you trust me? Will you believe me when I say youâre an amazing human being? Will you let me teach you how to love and be loved?â
All Jisung could do is marvel at the sudden closeness, his cheeks and ears flushing the instant he felt your touch. Your words only sent him further down into a frenzy, goosebumps forming at your declaration as he felt himself swoon in his seat, his head dizzying from the overwhelming sensation of both nervousness and affection. He had so much to say, yet his mouth could barely utter out a sound as he shrunk in his seat, your boldness taking him aback.Â
Even though he hadnât moved from his seat once, he felt himself become breathless as he admired each of your features, he swore he heard wedding bells in the background as you spoke. Oh, câmon, Jisung, you need to say something. He was panicking, much like he was during your first meeting, struggling to find the words as he became entranced with you, capturing every detail of your face in his mind so heâd never forget this moment.
âI love you.â
That was all he could say, all he could muster up, but that was enough. That was all you needed to hear as you let out a giggle, your eyes crinkling as you smiled, âI love you too.â
âIâm sorry for being an idiot. I want to try my best for you. I promise I will.â
âItâs okay. You donât need to apologize, and I know you will.â
âCan⌠Can I kiss you?â
His question caught you by surprise, heat rushing to your cheeks while nodding, mumbling a quick âof course you can,â as you pulled his face to yours, planting your lips onto his.
Maybe Han Jisung wasnât so bad after all.

I need a hugâŚ
Johnny Slaughter x reader
Super Soft
He never liked the thought of you crying. Even when he was about to kill you, knife raised high, an evil ping in his heart, he couldnât stand to hear you cry. It actually hurt him to see you curled into a ball in the corner of the barn while his family was killing your group. They already left you behind at the bar and didnât wait for you to get out of the car when they got here, so maybe you saw it as a fitting death? Or just sad to know your friends werenât really your friends? Either way, Johnny couldnât bear to being his knife down and kill you. He just couldnât hurt you.
Now, here he was again, standing in the barn and listening to you cry in the corner. His wide smile dropped to a soft and hurt look as he made his way towards your area. What was it? His old man scared you? Was it too much blood to clean? Gods, he never liked it when he family forced into his way of life. He didnât crave normalcy, no; but it made you happy. It made you smile brighter than the sun in July, and he didnât want his sunshine to go away.
Or was it him? Did he do something to make you feel less?
He put his blood stained knife away and took off his gloves as he crouched in front of you. He felt like he was coaxing a kitten out of the rain and weather when he reached his hand out and touched your shaking knees.
âWhatâs wrong, sunflower?â He asked, his drawl heavy and thick for only you to hear. âTalk tâme, sweetness?â
Your head lifted as you wiped away your tears. You tried to talk but all let out was a chocked back sob. You threw yourself into his arms, and Johnny caught you in time to hold you close. He squeezed you lightly as he let you cry into his shirt.
ââS okay, darling. Thatâs it⌠let it out,â he whispered in your ear, rubbing your back. âShh, shh⌠Johnnyâs gotcha. Youâre safe. Youâre safe⌠promise.â He rested his chin on your head and closed his eyes. âEmotions are hard. Too big anâ bright. I understandââ
âI donât-dont even know why Iâm crying,â you cried. âI donât know.â
âShh, âs okay,â he reassured. âYouâll be okay.â He rocked back and forth as he kisses you all over. He kissed your tears away and pushed your hair back. âYouâre okay, sunflower.â
He pulled you into his chest and held you close, hugging you tightly, as you cried in his chest. Heâs the bad man. Heâs the monster. Not your fears or anxiety or anyone else! Why are you scared? What scared you so bad? Whatever it was or whoever did it was going to pay. Memories? Heâll chase them away. Heâll fight them until the end. For now, heâll hold you tight and let you cry.

qiu and tamarack with an mc that seemingly NEVER gets sick and then one day they are just in bed an entire day with the worst fever, they're loopy and dazed and more prone to crying just because they accidentally stubbed their toe or sneezed one to many times.
Authorâs Note: I hope you enjoy this, I am sort of like this. One day id feel fine and then the next day my stuffy nose basically suffocates me lol
I wrote this for Step 2 but if you wanted Step 1 then please do request again!
Pairing(s): Qiu Lin x MC and Tamarack Baumann x MC
đđď¸
QIU LINđď¸
They always wondered how you never got sick.
I headcanon that Qiu gets colds often so theyâre curious about what witchcraft or tricks your pulling that make you immune.
So when you do get sick, they are surprised, to say the least.
If you were feeling loopy and saying random gibberish then they canât help but tease you a little.
âDo you think, If you road your bike..fast enough *sneeze* you couldâŚ*sniff* rewind time.â
ââŚProbably.â
When you do end up emotional maybe after leaving your chicken noddle soup to cool down for a bit and then eating it to realize it was cold
Or
Coughing hard enough that it hurts your throat and start crying. Then Qiu would be so doting and sad that you have to go through this.
Theyâre an angsty teenager but have the biggest soft spot for you and hates seeing you so miserable and ill.
They donât try and invade your space when youâre sick since as I said, they are somewhat sick prone.
When your mom has to eventually ask Qiu to leave so that you can rest, Qiu will write notes and slide them under your door and talk to you from the other side.
Or maybe even, cup phones. They see them as childish but itâs just you and them anyway so who even cares?
Once you feel better or at least better enough to rejoin society, Qiu is definitely making sure you get some fresh air.
You owe them the time the two of you missed from being sick and they missed you!
You were sick.
You got caught in the rain yesterday and thought it was the best idea to tough it out after forgetting your umbrella.
Your dear mother had banished you to your bedroom, leaving a bowl of hot soup and some water on your bedside table.
You were miserable, today was such a nice day. The days after a rainy day were always the best so it sucked that you were stuck in your room. You had nothing to do and were spacing out while constantly readjusting your pillow.
You heard noise from downstairs and slumped out of bed and cracked your door open to see who it was.
âI am sorry, Qiu. MC is sick today. I donât think it's best to have a hangout.â You heard your mother say, sympathetically to your crush.
âReally? They never get sick..â Qiu replied, a confused tone making an obvious appearance in their voice.
âMC got wet while it was raining yesterday-â your mother explained, her voice becoming more muffled; like she was moving around.
âAw, man. Ms. L/N, Could the two of us hang out, I promise to â Theyâre voice also begun to be muffled up, like the walls were swallowing their words.
You had already assumed that your mother would be true to her word and keep you quarantined until you were feeling better and you hated how much she cared about you at that moment.
You were so drowsy from the medicine, the lights were too bright and you accidentally knocked your hand on the bedpost and everything just SUCKED.
You slowly closed the door and slid down it. Becoming too lazy to bother. You wanted to cry a little, You didnât cry that often; I mean you were 14. What 14-year-olds cries because theyâre sick? Like, please.
You brought a hand to your eye to wipe a stray tear from your eye, I guess you were the rare instance of crying teenagers. Contemplating crawling back to your bed, you suddenly felt the door open a little before something was thrown into your room like a grenade.
The door closing was barely noticed by you as you quickly turned to see what was thrown into your room.
A paper cup, with a string attached to it and leading out the door.
A small smile appeared on your face, your eyes glossing over at the gesture; You already knew who was the culprit behind it.
You picked the cup up from the floor and put it up to your ear.
âHey. Sorry, youâre sick..â they apologized sincerely.
âItâs fine, really *sniff*â you replied, getting comfortable against the door and talking into the cup.
âI am not used to being sick.â
âI can tell. In the four years I've known you, You have NEVER gotten sick.â Qiu said, a little surprise in their voice.
âI know right, I hate it!â
And the conversation went from there, You two talked for what seemed like hours.
Debated about if you churned premade butter, would you get more butter or if it would turn to milk?
Played hangman with a shared paper that was pushed under the door multiple times.
They hated hearing you cough and suffer and hoped that you got better.
Qiu stayed with you until it was late, promising a fun day at the diner tomorrow.
TAMARACK BAUMANNđ
She unintentionally babies you so hard when you get sick.
I have a headcanon that Tamarack barely gets sick, mostly due to her just being able to run around in just a scarf and no hats or jackets.
She believes that no one is immune to sickness but when you finally do get sick, sheâs a little surprised but is ready to bring you her Omiâs soup and her company.
If you were feeling especially loopy or dazed then she would giggle A LITTLE, but then stop because she felt bad.
âpfft hehe- Oh no, that's not right. I am sorry!â
ââŚDo you think when you are born, that youâre the youngest person in the entire world?â
When you do get sad and emotional over small things and start bawling over it then Tamarack is so quick to try and help.
Accidentally slam your hand on a table? The table is now moved away for now. The water scratches your throat when you drink it? Sheâs getting you some tea, you like honey with yours; right?
When you are stuck in bed and have nothing to do, then count on Tamarack to give you some company. She doesnât even really care if sheâs potentially getting herself sick by being around.
Sheâs bringing stuff from outside and putting it on your table as a gift and chatting with you.
She understands not having someone around your age to talk to and she doesnât want you feeling abandoned when youâre stuck in your room until you feel better.
And when she eventually has to be asked to leave from your mother, she will be writing you letters, drawing, and collecting forest finds to either wait to give you or give to your mother to send up to you.
She even gets a âGet well soonâ card and tries and get everyone to sign it for you.
Which admittedly isnât all that hard.
You have lots of lovely people around in your life, Tamarack being a special one.
âMC, You are burning up..â Your mother said worriedly, laying the back of her hand on your forehead.
â*sneeze* this is the worst.â You groaned, regretting your past choices up to this point. This morning, you had forgotten to bring a jacket and it was much chillier than you were used to.
âThat's why I always remind you to bring yourself a jacket.â Your mom sighed, getting up.
âI will start making you something to eat. I will make you some oatmeal, stay all cozied up in bed and take it easy.â She gave you a motherly smile, patting your knee before leaving with the door closing gently behind her.
You were now alone.
This did suck, You had promised you would go over to Tamarackâs and you hated flaking on your promises.
So you just sat in your bed, twiddling your thumbs. Maybe you could start on assignments right now..? Nah. That was boring, your bodyâs immune system was already torturing you; let's not add homework to it.
You could draw something? Reorganize? Watch a video online-
Before you could bore yourself to death, you heard a pebble being thrown at your window and moved your attention to that.
You got up from your bed and wrapped yourself in your blanket before stepping over to the small window to reveal...
Tamarack!
You opened the window and received another pebble, barely missing you; earning an apologetic gasp from the ginger girl outside.
"Sorry! I wasn't aiming for you!" she apologized, waving her hand side to side as a greeting. You smiled before moving your face away from the window to cough.
"It's okay, Tama! *wheeze*" You reassured her, leaning on the ajar window to hear her better.
"I wanted to come inside but your mom said you were sick and was quarantining you.." Tamarack sighed before pulling something from her pocket.
You could barely make out what it was, that's until Tamarack got into paper airplane position and aimed for it at the now open window.
You moved out of the way just in time for her to throw it and......
She sticks the landing! The paper airplane flew right into your room and onto the ground. You picked up the white and red lined paper and turned back to Tamarack to open it.
Inside the airplane were a few pressed flowers and a little note.
'Get Well Soon!' was written in big letters; little notes from other people were below it.
'I hope you feel better'-Ren
'Expect me to break into your house soon.'- Qiu
'Make sure to get lots of rest'-Vianca
'See you when you get better!!'-Serenity
and finally, the sweetest one.
'Thinking of you, always! I will keep you company until you feel better! :)'-Tamarack
You smiled big before yelling down from your window. âTamarack?â
âYeah?â She replied , looking up with a shy smile.
âYou are a angelâ

rainy days - b.c
{bang chan x gn!reader}
genre: comfort, angst and fluff at the end - masterlist
synopsis: chan surprises you on a rainy day, but he never expected to find you crying in your bed alone. wc: 0.6k
warnings: mentions of anxiety and crying, reader is going through a hard time, chan comforts the reader gently, the reason of why the ready is crying isn't specified.
an: this a bit self-indulgent. with everything that has been going on, i needed an escape. i hope this helps you have some reassurance as well, stay safe
---------------------------------------------------
you don't want to leave your bed. you physically cannot handle leaving your current position; curled up on your right side, and staring at the gray sky beyond your window. you haven't moved since the morning, the rain has woken you up, and the storm is still going strong. every now and then, flashes of lighting and crashing sounds of thunder gain your attention. there are days where you can't leave your room, choosing to deal with your emotions by yourself. it is however, these moments when you need someone, you need chan.
-
chan is worried. he's staring at the unread messages he sent you. with each passing hour of you not answering, his concerns deepen. after hours of being on delivered, he decides enough is enough, he's going to check up on you, to see if you're okay.
he rushes to get ready as quickly as possible, turning off his computer with his latest demo, making sure to save the beginnings of his work fast. he runs out in the rain, gets in his car, and speeds towards your apartment. his mind is filling up with various thoughts of what may be going on. he calls you non stop on the road, yet it always leads to voicemail.
-
chan arrives at your apartment, and unlocks your door with your shared keys. "y/n! where are you?"
you hear your loving boyfriend's cries, but you don't answer. you're focused on something else. chan sees that you're not in the living room, you must be in the bedroom then. he opens the door to your room, and he's met with your curled up form. you're shaking and muffled cries leave your form, you glance back at him. you meet his eyes, and see how distressed your poor and caring boyfriend is.
the moment chan sees your pained face, his heart feels like it's shattering into pieces. "oh baby, why are you crying?" he says, his voice is small, and full of concern.
it's always that simple question that makes the tears flood. you sit up, you try to explain your sadness, yet you fail to do so. chan knows that you won't be able to explain. so he sits beside you, and takes you into his arms. his hand grazes your back gently.
"it's going to be okay. i'm here now y/n, there's no need to worry sweetheart." chan says, now his hand is caressing your hair.
he continues his thoughts, "when you're ready to tell me what's wrong, i'll be right here. that's what i'm here for, so please don't hold back. i hate to see your gorgeous face in such sadness."
you lay in his grasp for the next few minutes, as you quietly sob into his hoodie. after the passing minutes go by, you focus on the senses around you. the warmth of chan's body, the gentle head pats he's giving you, the faint smell of cologne, and the sounds of rainfall in the background; you begin to feel at peace. your cries swell down, and you look at chan directly.
he looks into your face, you see him staring into your swollen eyes. he lets out a laugh under his breath, "your eyes are puffy,".
seeing a smile on his face is contagious, since you find yourself smiling back at the loving man in front of you. "shut up, i know."
"it's adorable, donât stop"

Youâve had bad days before, but this one took the cake.
First, you woke up late and your breakfast was cold. Not bad, could be worse, you could handle cold breakfast. Sure, your boyfriend would happily heat it up for you, but you didnât want to bother him over something so trivial. You were an adult, you could handle a bit of congealed egg.
Then, you got rained on after you went into town to explore. It was sunny when you left, not a cloud in the sky, how were you supposed to know to bring an umbrella? In your hurry to get back to the ship, you tripped and fell right into a mud puddle, completely ruining your favorite outfit. All at once, everything was getting to be too much. No matter what you did, nothing seemed to go right. It was days like this that left you exhausted and crying into your pillow, desperate for some way to unleash the emotional maelstrom that had made its home inside of you.
Your mud encrusted shirt felt sticky against your skin and you fought the urge to shake. From rage or disgust, you werenât sure, all you knew is you wanted to be clean. You hated the way the clumps of dirt weighed down your shirt against your shoulders, or the way the fabric clung to you uncomfortably. You loved this shirt, and now it was ruined. It would be hard to find a similar replacement, though you could always try to hand wash it yourself.
Yes. Right. You could always wash it. This wasnât the end of the world. With a deep breath, you clenched your fists to ground yourself, and marched into your room to get a change of clothes. Once you were finally clean again, you hauled your dirty clothes into the laundry room. With a brush in one hand, your shirt in the other, you unleashed all of your rage at how the day had gone onto whatever flecks of dirt you could get your hands on.
âTake that!â You cackled, watching the soapy water turn brown. âDie by my hand you wretched stain.â
Too focused on your one-man war, you didnât realize how much force you were putting into your motions until a loud ripping sound filled the small room, and you were left staring dumbly at what was now half of your shirt. Your favorite shirt. The one youâd had for years. Nothing in your wardrobe was both as comfy or as warm, and now, it was ruined. Forever.
You couldnât help it. Fat tears plopped into the basin as your breathing hitched. You felt ridiculous crying over an article of clothing, but now that the waterworks began, you couldnât stop them. Weeping, you threw the torn fabric into the basin and tried not to focus on how the water splashed onto your front, soaking yet another outfit. With your hands over your face, and your clothes stuck to your skin, you muffled your cries into your palms.
Hopefully no one would walk in on your little temper tantrum. That would make a horrible day only that much worse.
As if on cue, the door squeaked open and you were left frantically trying to wipe your cheeks dry. Before you could blink, Sanji was within your field of vision, concern drawing his curly eyebrows together. With your cheek cupped in his hand, his thumb drew gentle circles into your skin. The gesture was so comforting, you couldnât help but lean into his touch.
âSweetheart, youâre crying. Whatâs wrong?â
Remembering what youâd been upset about, you gave an embarrassed jerk and tried to rub the redness from your eyes. âIâm just being stupid. Itâs nothing.â When Sanji didnât seem convinced, you gave him a watery smile. âReally, donât worry so much, youâll get wrinkles.â
âIâll always worry when it comes to you, my love.â Instead of helping you to your feet, he sat down next to you, one leg outstretched, the other drawn up so he could rest his elbow on his knee. With his free arm, Sanji wrapped you into a side hug, tugging you closer to him until your head rested on his shoulder. You hummed and stared at his blush. Even the smallest acts of affection could make your boyfriend flush bright red. It was cute. âTell me whatâs wrong so I can help.â
âItâs stupid,â You muttered.
âIt obviously isnât if youâre this upset,â Sanji countered, his fingers playing with the hem of your sleeve. You could tell he wanted a cigarette but would rather not smoke with you in such a small space. The second hand smoke would fill the room in seconds.
With a sigh, you gestured to the muddy basin, the remnants of your shirt sunk to the bottom. âToday has sucked.â Sanji hummed and nodded. You took that as your cue to continue, âI got rained on, fell in the mud, ripped my favorite shirt, and my breakfast was cold because I got up so late.â
âWhy didnât you come find me? I would have reheated your breakfast for you, sweetheart.â
You rolled your eyes. âIâm not going to go bother you over something so trivial. Iâm an adult, I can eat my cold food. It was just that⌠coupled with everything else.â
âCome here.â Without another word, Sanji wrapped you in a warm embrace, his chin settled on the top of your head. You buried your face into his shirt and inhaled his scent: cigarettes and spices. Gently, Sanji began running his hands through your hair, playing with a loose strand every so often. In his arms, it felt like every weight that made its home on your shoulders disappeared. You slumped into him, your own hands home between Sanjiâs shoulder blades.
âI feel better, thank you.â
âI knew a hug would help you, my love.â Even with his voice rumbling against your ear, he sounded smug. You glanced up, noticing that he was blushing so deep, the redness disappeared underneath the collar of his dress shirt. When you snuggled into him, his flush only got darker. Smug indeed. You smirked to yourself, the heaviness in your heart replaced with a light, fluttery feeling.
âCan we stay like this for a little while longer,â You asked
âAs long as you need,â Sanji replied.
The two of you remained, tied tightly together on the wet floor of the laundry room, for hours. It wasnât until Luffy found the two of you, wondering when dinner was going to be ready, did Sanji untangle himself from you.
By then, you felt like the day wasnât as bad as you thought.

One of One: Part 1
Summary - It's been two months since Astarion has left your camp since that night in Cazador's palace where everything went wrong. In the events of severely misguided judgement you find yourself bleeding out in a dark alley, in his arms one last time, spending your last fleeting moments with him.
Tags - Hurt / comfort, angst, depictions of death and dying, happy ending, vampire tav, nb tav
Notes - I accidentally picked the wrong option when trying to talk Astarion out of the ascension, and got told to die before he left my party forever. Me and my sister couldn't stop thinking about him regretting his actions once he came back to his senses and soon after this piece was born. I wanted it to be a short 3k piece, but as always I went overboard. There will be a part 2, but hopefully for now this will suffice.

âI would say good luck out there, but honestly? I hope you die screaming.âÂ
He left, and he was gone. You tried to not act like a dog, a lovesick puppy waiting for its owner to return home, but you couldnât help yourself. Ever since that night in Cazadorâs palace, your dreams had been filled with nightmares, and wishes that had yet to come true. Waking up to find the red tent adorned with gaudy pillows and spilled goblets of blood that you loved oh so much, back in the place that it belonged in your camp. But instead, all that laid was an empty spot where the drops of rain soaked the ground underneath leaving a stench of mud and rocks. Completely washing away whatever of Astarionâs scent used to linger.Â
It was because of that empty spot, the more you looked at it, the more your head span. You could only focus on your mistakes of that night, and everything that went wrong. If only you had tried harder . There could have been better words to say, now that everything was over and done with. Hindsight was 20/20, but in the moment it seemed like every thought, every word died out on the tip of your tongue as fast as you tried to will them out of your mouth.Â
In front of you, was someone you loved, overcome with want and power. So toxic that it clung to the air in thick waves in a way that made the blood spilled from the enemies just defeated more potent than before. When you found yourself staring into Astarionâs eyes, you couldnât see the man that you were talking to outside the palace a few hours prior. His eyes now bright with bloodlust, yet emptyâŚwith something else, lying there underneath the surface. Something you couldnât quite pick out as much as you tried. And as you stared at him, trying to decipher it, Astarion just stared backâŚbegging, in a voice so demanding, yet childlikeâŚso desperate.Â
The emotions flooding the room, the thoughts clouding your head, it was too much for you to wrap your head around. Fear clogged up your throat, and airways, making the simplest breaths the hardest to gasp for. You couldnât find rhyme or reason to deny him. There was no logic in your brain that could describe why this was wrong , you just knew it was.Â
Instead of trying to reason, to beg, to reach out to that scared boy trapped in a body adorned with 200 years worth of scars, you stood still, and denied. Giving no reason, just your feet planted firmly on the ground, not even finding it in yourself to move or reach out.Â
And he begged . He begged even harder than he had beforeâŚthe softest â please â falling from his lips.Â
Yet you still found yourself saying no.Â
Then it was all over. You watched as Astarion dug his fangs into Cazadorâs neck, drinking up his blood before driving a knife into his heart over and over and over again, screaming with every pierce and new puncture wound. All that was left was a room stained in blood, and anguished cries that pierced your heart so deep you found pressure building behind your eyes, threatening to let loose as well. And what came after were words filled with hatred, an expression forever burned into your memory that you still see it every time you close your eyes.Â
â Iâm done with you. I would say good luck out there, but honestly? I hope you die screaming.â
You tried, you really did try to get Astarion back after that. Your feet were finally able to move, and you pushed them as hard as you could, as fast as you could go. Your hands outstretched, trying to grab onto his shoulder, arm- the waistline of his pants. But he didnât care, he didnât even spare you a look; just carelessly shoved you off of him and left.Â
That was the last time you had seen him.Â
You donât have the exact date of the last time you saw him, but it had to have been at least a month by nowâŚmaybe two. With Astarionâs bright and sardonic personality missing from the camp, it seemed like the days had started to blend together. While you still had the rest of your party, and you were thankful they were alive and well, you couldnât bring yourself to care when you had driven out the one person you cared for most.Â
Since then, you had become brash, reckless, and careless. A part of you couldnât tell if it's because you wanted to punish yourself for being a horrible leader, or if youâd simply lost the ability to care about the world saving adventure you had found yourself on.
LaeâZel had already had more than a few choice words for you, and recently it seems they were getting stronger and more rude as time went on and the more you kept messing up. Everyone else barely bit their tongues either. Even someone like Shadowheart who had been with you when it happened, getting a first hand show at the fight that took place, was starting to get fed up with you. Her temper becoming shorter, until she had finally found you and cornered you against a wall in camp last night.Â
âWeâre all going through our own problems while also having to deal with the Absolute, and you have been nothing but supportive and helping with everyone here- Iâd probably be dead without your guidance.âÂ
She started off, it was something small and sweet, which only made you dread her words when she continued the rest of her sentence.
âAnd I want to be there for you too while you deal with your own pain- but quite frankly, youâre going to get us killed at this point. I didnât make it this far to have someone make some brain dead decisions right at the end.
I am more willing to lend an ear, to help in whatever way I can, but if you donât reach out and proceed on this suicide mission then Iâm outâŚand Iâm sure a lot of the others are going to be too.â
There was a pause of silence, you could barely meet her eyes, let alone reply. Whatever choice she gave you to reply and defend yourself, you didnât take. You just let her keep going.Â
âI donât know what you and Astarion had going on, but it was obviously something very special. It sucks that heâs not around anymore, but if you let this cost your life- cost everything we have worked for up to this point - then I have severely misjudged your intelligence and your priorities. Get it together.âÂ
With her lecture out of the way, she was gone, stalking off back towards her tent.Â
You couldnât even find it in yourself to be angry at her words and accusations. Because she wasnât wrong. And you had been anything but a leader for the past few months, yet somehow your team stayed. Though all those thoughts met little nothing to now and you wished it did.
-
It was another day, or night technically, and it had been one of the best ones in awhile. Taking Shadowheartâs words into consideration, you tried your best to be better. It was obvious your mind still wasnât in it all the way, but at least the day had passed without any misjudged bow shots into your teammates backs instead of the enemies; or conversations that turned into fights when they couldâve easily been schmoozed out of.Â
Dinner had recently ended, and everyone had retreated to their tents or their cots for the night. You found yourself on your back, staring absently at the night sky, heavy with dark rain clouds, threatening to spill torrential rain at any second. The cold chill of an upcoming storm was already blowing itself through camps, lifting up tarps and trying its best to put out the campfire. You were already restless tonight, but the howling of the wind only made it worse. Every sharp sting of air flying past you and biting at your face only made it harder, every time you tried to slip your head under the blanket you just ended up feeling claustrophobic and suffocated. There was no winning.Â
So you were left with your head outside, facing the cold night. Every few minutes you would toss back and forth on your sides, and on your back. Youâd sit up, fluff your pillow, and lay back down somehow more uncomfortable than before. You did everything from trying to count sheep, to singing your favorite songs in your head to get yourself to relax. After a couple hours though, it was no use. The rain started not long ago, but the soft pitter of the drops on the ground was a hindrance to your focus on sleeping instead of a welcomed white noise. When it was obvious that you werenât sleeping for a while, you saw no point in keeping on trying. The fire has burnt down to its bare embers, it was cold and dark and suddenly you were craving the warmth of the indoors and maybe an alcoholic drink to really warm the cold emptiness that lingers inside your chest.Â
It's with that thought that creeps up and lingers in your brain for the majority of the hour that finally gets you up, urging you to slip on your shoes and grab your backpack, slipping in some gold and your journal. Your camp clothes will have to do for now, as you donât see much of a point to get properly dressed in your gear to go sit down and drink somewhere. Itâs after you have everything packed up when you grab a hooded cloak from your chest and leave the camp quietly, adventuring back to the lower city.Â
You arrive at the pub just in time for the rain to change from a steady downpour of small drops to a cacophony of large wet globs pelting against the windows and roof top, making itself heard even over the cheering and loud laughter of everyone's drunken banter. You slip inside easily enough, removing your hood once youâre fully inside. It only takes a moment to take in the sight in front of the you- red faced patrons clinking their mugs and letting sour liquid spill onto their hands. The strong scent of alcohol seeping from everyone's breaths mixed with the fresh cooked food swimming through the air. Thereâs a mixture of singing and dancing as everyone is in high spirits, but also hushed, serious conversations taking place in the corner of the room. Passed out strangers, sleeping away the night with their head in their arms at the tables tucked away.Â
This was perfect.Â
Busy enough that the background of people will keep your mind from wandering to unwanted thoughts. It also meant no one would pay attention to you.Â
âWhat will it be?â The bartender asks as you make your way up to the counter. Her lips are pursed, she looks tired, and a bit on edge. It was obvious her shift had been going on for too long, but she was trying her best to keep a friendly facade up.Â
âRum.â You speak back plainly, as you drop a bag of gold on the counter. âThe entire bottle preferably.âÂ
She nods, not even giving any cheeky commentary akin to ârough day?â like you would expect someone to comment when buying a whole bottle of alcohol for yourself. Instead she grabs the bottle from under the counter and slams it down with a silver cup before pocketing the gold pieces handed to her.Â
âHoller if you need anything, dear,â She draws out in a slow and monotone voice.Â
You donât bother saying anything else to her as you grab the neck of the bottle and the handle of the cup before making your way to a dark quiet corner of the tavern and sitting yourself on one of the uncomfortable wooden chairs. You make sure to get your space set up before you crack open the lid on the bottle. Pulling out your journal and the small portable jar of ink and quill you brought before finally pouring your first drink.Â
You take a deep breath, steady yourself as the deep liquid looks back at you. For a second you swear you can see your reflection in the liquid, empty eyes, dark bags, a hideous frown. It just gives you more of an incentive to drink, to forget for just a little bit.Â
Down the hatch.Â
With a deep breath, you gulp down the first shot of rum and suppress a shudder at the pungent taste, how it burns your throat and thickly coats your mouth in consistency of syrup, yet tastes like stale sugar. You take pleasure in the warmth that soon comes after though, spreading from your core to your hands and feet. You can already feel the pleasant tingle of your nerves finally relaxing, of your body accepting the alcohol as a substitute for a humanâs touch, like the big hug youâve been yearning for.Â
You canât help but take another shot right away.Â
-
If youâre being honest, you canât tell how much time has passed. Itâs had to at least have been an hour or two, maybe more. The tavern had cleared out a little bit, but it was still quite busy. Even with a few less faces, the chatting and laughter seemed to be louder than when you first entered. It doesnât bother you, you had quickly let it become background noise as you buried yourself in your journal and shots of Rum.
Already the bottle was a 4th gone, and while you felt pretty coherent at the moment you could tell that the effects would be hitting you sooner than later. It was only at this point in your tipsy state that you realized maybe you shouldâve left a note at camp or something, in case you couldnât find your way back there tonight.Â
It was fine.Â
Your body had a good auto pilot, it was good at getting where it needed to be even when you didnât know what was going on.Â
The thought quickly fades as you pour yourself another drink and gulp it down, before going back to cataloging your thoughts on paper.Â
-
Youâre wet.Â
Wet with rain.Â
But not just rain.Â
Thereâs something else there.Â
Thick, reeking of copper, and metal.Â
You cough and more of it spits up, overwhelming your senses as you empty the contents onto the ground in front of you.Â
Red, so much red. More red than you have ever remembered coughing up before in battle.Â
Thatâs when the dread finally washes over you like a harsh slap to the face. It is more sobering than any other remedy you have ever tried in your life. Itâs then you go from barely existing in reality, seeing everything through a blurred lens to being too aware of everything around you, snapping back into yourself like you never have done before.
Youâre outside, far away from the tavern, but still in the Lower City. You barely recognize where you are, but if you had to guess you were trying to make it back to camp, but not doing a good job at it. With every step your whole body shakes. Putting weight on your ankle makes you want to topple over. It has to be at least sprained, if not broken. You pull out your hands to examine them and instantly notice theyâre swollen. Red, puffy, knuckles, sporting drops of blood from the small cracks in the skin. Your head pounds not unlike when getting your head smashed into a wall, and lifting your hand up to your head you can feel a bump before you hiss at the pain of touching the blossoming bruises starting to take place.Â
This wasnât good.Â
From the small amount of damage you could assess on your body you could already tell this was bad.Â
You feel like youâre on death's doorstep, moments away from collapsing and perishing in the streets. Every small shuffle with your feet feels like you were pushing your body to its extreme limits and pretty soon it was about to give up.Â
Thereâs no way to heal yourself, you didnât pack any potions and all the shops are closed for the night.Â
The panic is dulled because of the alcohol, but is still present, you feel yourself freaking out in your core. Camp isnât far, but thereâs a part of you thatâs certain you wonât be able to make it. You could try crawling, dragging yourself with your arms, but that seems more unlikely than trying to just walk the rest of the way there.Â
Maybe you could make it. Not all hope is lost yet, youâve been in worse situations.Â
Itâs right after the small sliver of hope you try to will and grab onto, that the world seems determined to prove you wrong. Another set of coughs destroy your body, sending you off balance as you bend in half to grip your aching ribs. More blood spills from your mouth and joins the rain on the concrete below you. You cough, and cough, and more comes out, it's seemingly endless, and when youâre done, youâre left feeling lightheaded and like you need a long nap. Just simple sleep.Â
Your body is at its limits. Youâre not even halfway to camp. Thereâs no way out of this one this time.Â
You really fucked yourself.Â
You must really be on a suicide mission if youâre dumb enough to get black out and start a fight at the bar. At least you went out fighting, you hoped you at least took one or two of them down with you. You could feel it in your body how you were outnumbered though, bruises and cuts sprouting from all over your body.Â
There was no way you were ever going to win.Â
Maybe you just wanted someone to put you out of your misery so you didnât have to do it yourself.Â
Youâre barely able to make it to the alley on your left as you stumble your way between two buildings. Your body trips on nothing and slams into the stone wall, making you fall to the ground ungracefully as ever. With the last strength in your body, you pull yourself into a sitting position, slouching against the wall, but quickly slump back over.Â
The wall is spinning, the sky is spinning, you feel like youâre going in circles. The rain is more cold than ever, and you pull your cloak tighter around your body, but it seems to just trap in the chill. You cough, and more blood spills out. Your head pounds, your chest aches, and your ankle moans in pain.Â
Maybe if youâre lucky some poor fucker will see you and take pity on your sad self. Maybe if you just close your eyes, youâll be able to gain enough strength to make the way back to camp and you can have Shadowheart patch you up.Â
Just a few minutes.Â
Thatâs allâŚ
It canât end hereâŚ
But you canât push yourself any further for nowâŚ
You just need to rest real fastâŚ
Thatâs allâŚ.
âŚ.
You feel yourself on the very edge, your final breath lingering on the tips of your lips as you try to give way to sleep, but something is calling out your name.Â
You really must be dying.Â
The voice sounds faintly like Astarion.Â
Itâs pathetic how even on your deathbed you can only think about him. Your dying vision is him calling out for you one last time.Â
The voice continues to get louder, and you feel like every shout is leading you closer to death, your hallucination slowly becoming more reality than dream. There comes a point where it becomes too real though, and your brain fights itself between accepting this dream and realizing this was real. A thick shadow looms over you, blocking out the lights from outside the alley. The voice is loud in your ear, panicked and calling out louder than before.Â
He couldnât really be here, right?
Astarion wanted nothing to do with you before, thereâs no way heâs calling out now.Â
He said he hoped you died screaming.Â
If we really were here, he should be laughing, delighted that he got the chance to see your body withering away on the streets by random chance.Â
â...As-tarionâŚ.?â You croak out, your voice so hoarse from coughing that it's barely there anymore. Itâs stupid to hope, youâre probably just talking to air, but you try anyways. If this is real, then this is your last chance.Â
The figure is kneeling now, right by your body. A gentle hand scoops under your head, and another hooks under knees before your body is being shifted. You wince but let yourself be manhandled, itâs not like you have much of a choice or can put up a fight. Youâre pulled into a lap, you can feel crossed legs underneath you, against your back. One arm continues to cradle your neck and keep your head up, while the other frees the wet hair sticking to your face.Â
This has to be real right? Your body wouldnât move like this on its own.Â
âAs-â You open your mouth to try and call out to him again, but youâre quickly stopped with a finger being pushed to your lips and a quiet âshhâ noise.
âYes, it's me.â He speaks.Â
âWhat are you- Why are you-â You have so many questions, that your mind canât choose which one to ask first. Youâre still trying to comprehend if this is true.Â
Because heâs here, heâs actually here. You can feel his hands all over you, his body pressed up against yours. You see him, feel him, hear him. In some twist of cruel fate, he came back. All it took was you ending your life for him to show up again. You canât decide if itâs worth it. Because you get one last chance to see his smile, how his laugh lines move as his lips quirk upward. You get one last chance to see his expressive eyes that seem to give him away when heâs not quite 100% in the act heâs putting on. You get one more chance to finally apologize, to say all the things youâve been thinking about for weeks.Â
â Iâm so sorry-â You find yourself saying. If youâre going to die, at least maybe you can get the apology youâve been practicing in your head before it's all over.Â
âI never meantâŚGod, Iâm so sorry.â Your voice cracks, and you can feel yourself getting choked up. Your already sore throat hurts even more, but you keep pushing. You need to get this out. Â
âYou were hurting, and I turned you down- wouldnât even say anything- just denied you.â Your mouth is moving faster than your brain, the rehearsed apology being quickly thrown out the window. Youâre going to die soon, you need to get this out now before youâre gone forever. âI was justâŚscared- and I didnât know what to do- I-I fucked up though and made you think I wasnât on your side..Iâm-God- Iâm sorry-âÂ
You feel tears slide down your face and they burn the tender bruises forming on your cheeks, but you canât stop. You keep blabbering, saying the same three sentences over and over again, not being able to comprehend anything, just trying to talk, to get him to forgive you. And eventually, thereâs another set of fingers being placed on your lips, shushing you again. And you quiet right away, you feel like you can barely breathe.Â
âItâs- Okay.â He seems choked up, lost in his own thoughts. He takes a second to work out his words, but you can tell he is thinking hard about them. His voice isnât filled with malice like it was last time. Itâs soft, and gentle this time. Itâs serious.Â
âI see that now.â He finally decides on his words, and loosely shifts in his arms to stare up at his face.Â
It really is him .Â
âI was so focused on something that I had been denied for so longâŚI let it control all my thoughts and actions. I didnât realize how far gone I was. I just wantedâŚrevengeâŚto get my life back. To feel in control for once. I couldnât take being denied that again, and I didnât want anyone who wouldnât support me. I just wantedâŚclosure.âÂ
As he talks, you stare at him and take everything about him in. The rain has let up, the clouds finally parting just enough for the moonlight to peek through. It shines brightly on Astarionâs hair, casting a halo highlight. His eyes are soft, but the deep red that you love. His expression changes with every single word he speaks, a frown tugging at his lips as he talks to you. Heâs beautiful. Heâs more beautiful than you remember.Â
âBut I left, and it didnât take me long to calm down and realize my mistake. You were right . And I didnât notice at the time..but you were scared. I keep playing that night over in my head and - Gods - I can only see how terrified you were. I did that⌠â his voice fades out, and you feel more tears slip down your face.Â
This canât be real. This is a dream. Because Astarion is pouring his heart out to you, holding you in his arms, apologizing while youâre on your deathbed.Â
Itâs like a cliche dream come true, the best case scenario you could have pictured when you think about your death.
It feels so real though. It has to be.Â
âI made you scared. I never want to do that again. But I couldnât bring myself to come backâŚnot yet at least. I would never forgive anyone if acted the way to me that I acted towards you-âÂ
âIâve prayed every night that you would come back- youâve been in my dreams- youâve-â You cut him off, needing him to know how much you want him back. How much you forgive him, but you canât talk long before you heave a heavy cough and can feel even more blood sliding down the corner of your lips.
â Gods.. âHe breathes out a heavy, heartbroken sigh as he thumbs away the blood soiling your face.Â
His touch is the lightest thing youâve ever felt, especially after the beating you suffered earlier in the night. Your whole body screams in pain, but every place that he touches is a personal cure all, you donât feel any pain at all in his arms. His hands arenât warm, yet somehow they are warming your body, filling you up like the alcohol did, but ten times stronger. You can feel your stomach flipping over itself, fluttering at every touch. You missed him so much.Â
âWhat happened to you?â He asks in shock, holding your face, sliding his thumb along your cheek to catch whatever stray tears linger as he stares into your eyes.Â
âIâŚdonâtâŚknowâŚâ You admit, pitifully, darting your eyes away from his as you answer the question.Â
He raises an eyebrow at you, wordlessly encouraging you to keep talking. So you do, as best as you can. You speak in short, simple sentences, your apology from before taking the most of your brain power and energy. You explain drinking to clear your thoughts, and coming back to on the street. You talk about the pain in your ankle, in your chest and hands. He looks at you the entire time, his face morphing into different expressions as you retell certain parts of your night and you can feel the judgment from him seeping into your bonesâŚthough the care he has for you over powers it. The gentle feeling of fingers carding through your hair, detangling the strands, the gentle rubbing motion of his fingers on your arm. Itâs like heâs single handedly feeding warmth back into your body, even if it isnât enough to keep you alive, it's enough to prolong your death.Â
âWhat are you doing out here?â You ask at the end of your explanation, not giving him a chance to comment on your decision making skills of the night. Maybe heâll stay with you until you fade away. That would be nice, dying in his arms. You couldnât imagine a more perfect way to go.Â
âMaking my way to the woodsâŚâ He starts, and quickly fades off leaving you to fill the blank.
Oh right, he must be starving. Back to animals, you were guessing. You almost feel guilty for doing that to him, even though he was the one that left in the first place. Your eyebrows just shoot up and your eyes widen at his response as you nod ever so slightly, telling him you understand.Â
âWere you ever going to come back?â You ask after another beat of silence.Â
You really shouldnât be talking, but you canât help but keep asking questions. You need answers, and you need your own closure. You need to lay here, life slowly draining your body and listen to his voice as it carries you into the afterlife. You can already feel your eyes get heavier with every word you breathe out. You can feel air being harder to take in, just becoming shallow and soft.Â
âI- '' It seems like he is going to respond seriously, but can sense the change in your condition and suddenly his calm demeanor completely switches as he cries out, not being able to keep his act going anymore.Â
âYouâre fucking dying!âÂ
He screams into the night, at your face and you frown. You are dying, it's not by your choice and youâd change if you could.Â
â- fuck-! â He cries out, and you feel the gentle presence of a healing spell being washed over you. But, it doesnât do much, just takes you back from the edge of blacking out. Your vision clears for a moment, yet your body still aches, and you can barely breathe. Blood still leaks from your mouth. The only difference is your eyes donât feel so heavy anymore.Â
âWe need to get you back, hold on-â His grip tightens on you, and you use all the strength you have in your body to reach out and wrap your hand around his arm to get his attention and shake your head.Â
âDonât moveâŚIâm not going to make itâŚâ Your voice gets quieter with every word, it seems your vocal chords are finally giving out on you.Â
âI came here to die like a pathetic stray animal once I realized I had no chance.âÂ
He washes another light spell over you, but just like before it only helps for a few seconds before you go back to feeling worse than ever.Â
âThereâs no way youâre giving up now. â He speaks through gritted teeth, annoyance and disbelief fills him. âAfter everything? A stupid bar fight is what puts an end to you?âÂ
You want to laugh because it's true. What a pathetic way to go out.Â
âPlay stupid games, win stupid prizes.âÂ
His eyes narrow at your choice of words and you swear if a light breeze of wind wouldnât currently knock you on your ass, he would reach out and swat at your arm.Â
âNo. No, this isnât the end.âÂ
Astarion attempts to stand again, but just like before you shoot your hand out to stop him, pleading with his name on your lips. He stops once more and looks down at you, wide eyes of terror meeting your own.Â
âI mean itâŚitâs over for me, I wouldnât even make it- and the others donât need to see me like this. Just let them think I ran off on my own in the middle of the night or something-âÂ
Astarion opens his mouth to interject, but you stop him and keep talking with the last strength you have in your body.Â
âPleaseâŚjust stay hereâŚâ You take a break to wheeze in a pathetic breath of air, and continue. âI donât ask for muchâŚjust, this is perfect. You are all I need. Just one last kiss, and send me off on my way.âÂ
He wants to fight, you see it in every bone in his body. But heâs at a loss, he can either leave you and let you die alone, or follow your wishes. Itâs obvious if he tries to take you to camp youâll fight the whole way there. This alley is your deathbed, thatâs all there is too it.Â
â...FineâŚâ He relents, with another heartbroken sigh. His eyes are on your face, soaking up your features because it's the last time heâs ever going to get to see them.Â
His fingers trace the curve of your cheeks, the bridge of your nose and rough skin of your lips. They run across your eyelashes, and smooth over your eyebrows. They dance along your neck, and make their way to your collar bones before moving up to your ear, playing with the cartilage of it. Every move he makes is practiced, purposeful, calculated. He has intent with every touch, his face twisting into something so serious and focused as he stares down at you. As his fingers move and continue to spread warmth and love into your body, he starts to lean down and you try your best to meet him halfway. He stops you though, and tells you to let him do all the work. Eventually you feel his lips against yours.Â
Something so soft, a feather like kiss that almost feels like it wasnât even there in the first place. You let his breath take your last as you breathe into his mouth. You move ever so slightly, leaning into his touch, to grab more of him, take whatever you can before it's too late. You strain yourself, pushing yourself over the edge as you lift your arm and wrap it around his neck, letting yourself play with the soaked white curls at the nape of his neck. He sighs in content and kisses you deeper, taking every bit of strength that you have left.Â
You feel the world fading around you, slowly but sure coming to a halt. Everything is starting to feel dull, his touch, his heat, the cold air outsideâŚit's all starting to feel so far away. And youâre realizing youâre ready. All you wanted was one last kiss and youâd be set.
Astarion pulls away as your eyes blink, and slip closed for one last time.Â
The last sensation you feel before youâre pulled under is a deep, sharp shooting pain in your neck. Â
