Once again we are hungry for a lynching
That's a strange mistake to make

people are already complaining about the price of the anthology vinyl as if taylor doesn't charge way less than other artists do for her vinyl. 4LPs usually go for anywhere between $80 and $110. red tv was $50, which is $10 cheaper than radiohead was selling their 2LP repress of kid a/mnesiac. $60 is literally a steal for ttpd: the anthology.
#it's like people don't realize how taylor goes out of her way to make things more accessible for fans#yet all people do is complain#literally shut up

Album Review Radiohead “Kid A Mnesiac”

In 2021 Radiohead reappears after a hiatus. they brought Kid A and Amnesiac together in one album, and released a compilation of works from the time they were recording these albums.
Kid Amnesia is a combination of Kid A and Amnesiac but with some "new" songs at the end. If you haven't listened to Amnesiac or Kid A yet, you are simply living wrong.
Mixing is the Radiohead standard, countless layers, different designs and textures in the melodies and instruments, everything is its right place .The songs range from mega dark, climatic and dense sounds to sounds that sound like lullabies. The band's creativity is something to applaud. They followed Brian Eno's advice to the letter when he said never to release a similar work. I ended up "listening to colors" or "filling colors" in songs.
While Kid A has my head , my heart is with the A Moon Shaped Pull, which is their last album and which by the way is one of those cases of re-records of songs not yet released. But even so I would like to see them doing something new, work without getting anything they have already done.
The album gave me the feeling of being like a child alone in a dark room. Afraid of the unknown but still able to unravel the wue he is behind the shadows because of his "childish curiosity". Even though they sound dense and heavy they manage to deliver soft sensitive sounds.
Kid Amnesia is not what I wanted to, but is what we have for today.

so i had a pretty cool album that i was preparing to release however i can't bring myself to do it because it's kind of very personal and idk if i'm comfortable with sharing that with the world yet. so it's at best postponed.
as of much more recent I've been planning to release a compilation album called Pink Almond, which would be pink star and almond remixed with bonus tracks and cut songs and demos from each, sort of like kid a mnesiac by radiohead. however while scouring through the almond cut tracks i've came upon the realization that they give off a strong enough vibe that it'd be sad to release them just as stuff i didnt use. so.
as of now I'm working on a new album, likely coming out late october or early november, made up partially of the almond cut songs and also new songs. more info will be posted some time in the future but this is the plan for now. there is also the Mollusk remaster coming out literally just over two weeks. it's pretty sweet in it's own way
i should probably talk about what's going on with my music huh

Since Radiohead will be releasing Kid A Mnesiac, I’ve decided to make a playlist of my top 30 favorite Radiohead songs. Let’s get into fights over Radiohead.
Result: I have been diagnosed with severe depression.

YES THIS IS I THINK MY FAVOURITE RADIOHEAD ALBUM HEHEH
best song - Pyramid Song and Knives Out Are Equally as good, like they are both some of the best songs in their respective styles for radiohead does this make sense? like Pyramid Song is one of their best doom-laden haunting piano with strings and soaring vocals and really poetic songs, knives out is one of their best multiple-guitars wow life sucks people are terrible songs.
favourite song - Packt Like Sardines In a Crushd Tin Box. from the first time i heard this i just loved it - 'after years of waiting nothing came / and you realize you're looking in / looking in the wrong place / i'm a reasonable man get off my case' like DAMN, also i love the way it sounds - i did once hear a car go over a metal drain cover that sounded EXACTKY like the opening metallic noises it was cool, i just love the way it sounds it's super cool it's my favourite yes.
least favourite song - i think this one's pretty common, but pull/pulk revolving doors just doesn't have it, HOWEVER the pull/pulk true love waits version from kid a mnesiac is actually so so cool and i really love that. personally think they should have released it like that, but just my opinion. i didn't like dollars and cents for a while but i do like it now.
overrated song - knives out gets all the hype for amnesiac, and it is really really good i'm just sad it overshadows the rest of the album. also my soul crumples a bit every time i properly consider how it took them to record it.
underrated song - honestly, i think the second half just doesn't get enough love in general, but Like Spinning Plates is actually so cool, and the first time i heard Life in a Glasshouse i had to listen to it like nine times in a row because it's just that good.
banger of all bangers - I Might Be Wrong is kind of a banger, i mean amnesiac sort of doesn't quite have the 'banger' energy to it though. I can play pyramid song badly on piano so imo that's a banger just cos of that, every time i see a piano it's like 'okay guys pyramid song time' hehe.
out of ten - like a nine? it's weird cos even though it has pull pulk (which is one of the few radiohead songs i actually don't like) and dollars and cents which is just kind of mid, the songs i do really like on amnesiac (pyramid song, packt like sardines, i might be wrong, life in a glass house) i Really Really Really Like. who i am kidding i love them so much. like even though it has a not very good one the amazingness of the others outweigh it. it's my favourite radiohead album, probably, such vibes, such atmosphere, fricken love amnesiac
#thank you so much for the ask!#i love this album so much hehe#if anyone wants me to do this for other radiohead albums i will happily do that :D#also this was such a mysterious looking ask#just an anon saying 'amnesiac' with no context#hehe very cool#amnesiac
