Bridgekids ramble thing regarding music.
- we know Isaiah enjoys nirvana, his voice actor ( will sawikin ) drew some bridgekids art featuring a radiohead reference on Isaiah's door. Then also there was a "creep" cover in the end of one of the episodes.. i would say radiohead is pretty much confirmed ( i love radiohead so much, and Nirvana :D )
- regarding lars he does possibly enjoy the misfits, scoring a t-shirt. It is stated he likes punk and metal and in the same episode he states he also enjoys "metalcore, grindcore, or any core really"
- With moe we know he's a fan of the hip hop group " G-unit " and obviously he likes rap and he does it himself. An obvious Eminem parody character of some sort. I mean his name is Moe marshall further proving that. Its also safe to say skid would enjoy the same music genre.

Reblogging for the succulents in the last picture! Also, when I bought prints from Mireyah Wolfe, she sent them all the way to here even though it cost her more money and effort. So buy some! (but especially if you’re in the US!!)

Round 3
Tumblr media
Austin Powers: Let’s keep this bracket groovy, baby! Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery is a spy spoof film released in 1997, written by and starring Mike Myers and featuring Elizabeth Hurley, as well as known names in the spy movie business Michael York and Robert Wagner. It was the first introduction of the titular icon-to-be Austin Powers, a free-loving secret agent who was cryogenically frozen in the 1960s, returned to us in all his velvet-suited snaggle-toothed glory in the ‘90s to face his nemesis once more. Parodying James Bond and copycat spy films as well as '60s pop culture, the movie would spawn two sequels and novelizations all sharing a similar sense for fashion, gags, and Austin’s recognizable catchphrases. As completely goofy as the film and its legacy is, critics were mostly favorable, with the New York Times writing "The film's greatest asset is its gentle tone: rejecting the smug cynicism of Naked Gun-style parodies, it never loses the earnest naiveté of the psychedelic era." (This is presumably an embarrassing typo: it’s shagadelic, Yorkie baby!)
Radiohead's OK Computer: I go forwards, you go backwards, and somewhere we will meet. By the middle of the decade, Radiohead was weary of the ubiquity of their 1993 hit Creep; although the record that followed it (The Bends) was a lusher, more evolved album than their first, it had failed to produce a distinctive enough sound and image for the band to undo what Creep had done. The song threatened to define the band entirely to those outside their devoted following. In 1997 the band swung for the fences with the haunting, abstract OK Computer. It was a move their label cast immense doubt on at the time, and its success then and now would cement Thom Yorke and his bandmates as soothsayers of a sort, draped not in bohemian silk robes but in white hospital sheets. It's an album that speaks to the future with dread more than wonder, that critics described as "nervous almost to the point of neurosis," but marries the uneasy experimental soundscapes with poetic, surrealist, and increasingly prophetic songwriting regarding the parallel lives we lead with technology. Featuring the singles Karma Police, Paranoid Android and No Surprises, OK Computer is hailed by many as the band's masterpiece, and is often cited by music publications as one of the greatest albums of the decade: it's certified double Platinum in the US and five-times Platinum in the UK, and in 2014 it was included in the United States National Recording Registry as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

the cheeky boi - the riddler x reader (crack fic)
Tumblr media
i'm writing this in spite of my flop era. ig it's a parody of riddler fanfics???
you are pretty and cool but you like really ugly men so one day you went to your local cafe to spot some ugly men. you nearly got mugged on the way but you punched the person mugging you bc you're a girlboss like that. you walked into the cafe and ordered a latte with oat milk. the waitress said they don't have oat milk and told you to go fuck yourself. you rolled your eyes. you sat in one of the booths and looked around for the ugliest man you could see.
you spot some weirdo in the corner with his eyes glued to a puzzle book. this was edward nashton. he was so sweaty and smelled like baby sick. you got up and walked towards him.
"hey wanna be my bitch?" you said
"no," the sweaty boi said. he had glasses on that looked like something a serial killer would wear. smash, you thought to yourself.
"well that's no way to treat someone!" you exclaimed, giggling cutely.
"well i'm an incel and i'm proud of it sooooo," edward said. you can't believe he had the audacity to say that. like, it was embarrassing for him.
"you cheeky boi," you said, "come with me so i can make sloppy toppy with you."
"ok," edward said. of course he agreed. mans has never been laid. his dreams were coming true at last.
fast forward you and edward are lying in your bed after having mind blowing dominatrix sex. edward was giggling manically.
"damn bitch why you acting crazy for?" you said
"i'm the riddler, baby," edward said.
"omg no way," you were so surprised. the plot twist was unexpected. he looked nothing like the riddler bc the riddler wears a mask and edward doesn't wear a mask.
you jumped out your bed and went to your wardrobe and pulled out a machine gun. it has been in your family for generations.
you shot edward 20 times in the chest.
afterwards you phoned your bff batman and said, "i shot the riddler."
"omg slayy," batman said.
the next day the news said 'the riddler has been shot dead in houston' and like you felt like a celebrity but didn't let the fame get to your head bc like you're cool and stuff.
you miss your skrunkly cheeky boi so much RIP The Riddler you would have loved I'm A Creep by Radiohead and the Mitski Discography.

Even worse, the one song* (or album†) you love is the one they hate and have sworn to never make anything like it ever again (or that their usual fans‡ hate). * Fight For Your Right, Licensed to Ill, Beastie Boys - They hate Fight For Your Right because it was a parody song poking fun at "all the mindless party songs of the time" and it kinda pisses them off that it's one of their most popular songs songs. They refused to play it in concert for a very long time (I'm not sure if this has changed since the early 00s). † 8 Mile: Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture, Eminem - He hates that is was his highest selling album because it's nothing like his own music, it's all "from the perspective and live experienced of the character". Sorry - not sorry - Em, but more people prefer it to your misogynistic hate drivel. Creep, debut single 1992/09/21 rereleased on Pablo Honey , Radiohead - Every "trufan" I've spoken to hates Creep because (and I quote) "It's not anything like their other better music, and Pablo Honey is their worst album". I can't comment, all I know is Creep is the only song I like off of Pablo Honey, so I've never heard anything else by Radiohead. The lead singer and several band members grew to hate playing it in concert (and thus mostly stopped for a long time) because they felt that it was "just us doing a cover of our first and greatest success". They probably stopped for good at this point because the lead singer "no longer has the vocal range to perform it properly" (said by Thom Yorke, which yeah dude's like 55 now of course he can't hit the high notes like he could when he was 24). I'm sure there are more, many, many, more, but these three standout to me as they impact my musical collection.
heartbreaking: none of artist's other songs are as much of a banger as the song I discovered the artist by

Hey there!
The "I'm not a creep" post is a bit of a parody of the song Creep by Radiohead. The refrain goes: "But I'm a creep/ I'm a weirdo/ What the hell am I doin' here? / I don't belong here"
It's about someone who is in love but doesn't dare to approach the one they have a crush on because they think they are not worthy of it.
It DOES work as positive affirmation though, if you are deeply insecure in general (or have impostor syndrom or whatever).
Yeah, I'm very familiar with the song and recognized it immediately.
I stand by what I said. I do think it goes a lot farther than a "crush", though.
