50th NAACP Image Awards- Entertainer of the Year, Beyoncé, Chadwick, Ryan, Regina and Lebron

             LOS ANGELES, CA - Voting is now open for the 50TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS - NAACP ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR Award, the winner to be revealed during the two-hour special airing live on TV One, Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 9pm/8c from the Dolby Theatre.  The five nominees are: Beyoncé, Chadwick Boseman, Ryan Coogler, Regina King, and LeBron James.
            The voting is open to the general public beginning today by visiting the NAACP Image Awards website http://www.naacpimagewards.net - the only place to vote for 50TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS - NAACP ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR.  Voting closes on March 4, 2019.

                 The NAACP Image Awards is the most respected event of its kind and is well attended by many of the top names in the entertainment industry.  In recent years some of the biggest names in film, television and music appeared including Denzel Washington, Oprah, John Legend, Viola Davis, Anthony Anderson, Dwayne Johnson, Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Stevie Wonder, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Gina Rodriguez, Chrissy Teigen, Kerry Washington, Nate Parker, Morris Chestnut, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tika Sumpter, Keegan-Michael Key, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laurence Fishburne, Spike Lee, Loretta Devine, Shonda Rhimes, Omari Hardwick, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Don Cheadle, Sanaa Lathan, Keke Palmer, Michael Ealy, Ken Jeong, Sylvester Stallone, Terrence Howard, Taraji P.           As previously announced, the production team will be Executive Producers Reginald Hudlin and Phil Gurin, Tony McCuin as Director, Byron Phillips as Co-Executive Producer, Robin Reinhardt as Producer and Rachel Frimer as Executive in Charge of Production. In addition to the live telecast, TV One will also air special programming honoring this year's nominees and spotlighting significant moments. The network will provide promotional support for both programs on TV One, Radio One and Reach Media, Interactive One, and via a multi-platform marketing campaign.

          (SILVER SPRING, MD) - March 25, 2019 - TV One will air the 50TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS: TRIBUTE SPECIAL on Saturday, March 30 at 8pm ET/7C, immediately preceding the live telecast of the 50TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS at 9pm/8C. The tribute special, sponsored by Toyota, will honor this year's nominees, past winners and significant moments. Hosted and Executive Produced by Urban One Founder and Chairperson Cathy Hughes, the special features in-depth one-on-one conversations with director/actress Salli Richardson-Whitfield, singer/actor John Legend, actor Stephan James, actress Loretta Devine, music industry legend Clarence Avant, soul singer Kenny Lattimore, and Congresswoman Maxine Waters. The network will provide promotional support for both programs on TV One, Radio One and Reach Media, Interactive One, and via a multi-platform marketing campaign.
      As previously announced, Anthony Anderson is set to return as host for the 50TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS, which for the first time ever will take place from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. For the sixth consecutive year, TV One is the television home for the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization's award show. The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature, and film and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.  The upcoming telecast, the 50TH Anniversary of the NAACP Image Awards, will also spotlight the significant contributions of the NAACP and the impact the organization has had on our community and country. 
       In addition to the traditional awards categories, Congresswoman Maxine Waters will be honored with the prestigious NAACP Chairman's Award, bestowed in recognition of individuals who demonstrate exemplary public service and use their distinct platforms to create agents of change.  REACH Media syndicated radio personality Tom Joyner will be honored with the Vanguard Award, which is presented to individuals whose groundbreaking work increases understanding and awareness of racial and social issues.
    THE 50TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS: TRIBUTE SPECIAL production team includes: Executive Producers Eric Tomosunas, Keith Neal, James Seppelfrick; Producers Jay Allen and Nikki Byles of Swirl Films. For TV One, Cathy Hughes and Tamara Knechtel serve as Executive Producers, and Regina Thomas serves as Executive Producer in Charge of Production.

Anthony Anderson returns to host the 50th NAACP Image Awards March 30th

     LOS ANGELES, CA (March 5, 2019)- Today, the NAACP announced that Anthony Anderson is set to return as host for the 50th NAACP Image Awards. Anderson is a two-time NAACP Image Awards Winner for his role on blackish, and will be hosting the show for the 6th consecutive year. Winners for the 50th NAACP Image Awards will be revealed during the two-hour LIVE TV special airing on TV One on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 9pm/8c from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
       Anderson, is currently the star and Executive Producer of ABC's multi-award winning sitcom, blackish, a four-time NAACP Image Award Winner for Outstanding Comedy Series, Anderson is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix film Beats.
