So basically. Alyx regretted what she'd done to Jaune and the mess she'd caused at the Ever After. So she let Lewis go back to Remnant but she chose to stay, because she wanted to make up for her mistakes. And that fucking cat killed her for that.

So after all, it really was Lewis who wrote The Girl Who Fell Through The World. He went back to Remnant, saw that Alyx never made it back, and erased himself from the story so he could write one in which his sister had a happy ending. And he wrote the Cat as an ally because... well... he never knew.

Fuck that cat.

God, Lewis wrote the story because he wanted to help Jaune get out. That just hurt.

The fact that Lewis figured the way out of the Ever After and sent it back to Jaune and Jaune never got it because he thought it was Alyx lying to him. Because Lewis never realized Alyx had poisoned him, never realized how badly the trust between them had broken.

Lewis and Theodore, Theory Post 2

After my crack theory post last year I have become increasingly convinced that Theodore is, in fact, Lewis. or at least a descendant.

Listen, again, the story of Dorothy (Theodore's allusion)--a kid who gets whisked away to another world and gets to go home completely changed--matches so well with Lewis's as Volume 9 spelled out.

The design--hair and outfit--kinda strongly hint for me that Lewis is either Theodore or an ancestor of him. Especially considering that Sun and Neptune both state that the headmasters might have the answer as to where RWBYJ are.

I hope that get a novelization or animated miniseries or some kind of adaptation of The Girl Who Fell Through the World since even with the new info, there's still so many unanswered questions:

How did Alyx and Lewis wind up in the Everafter?

What was Alyx and Lewis dynamic like?

What did Alyx see when she saw the herbalist?

How did Alyx and Lewis finally arrive at the tree in the first place?

What did the tree do to make her grow a conscience?

Why did Lewis leave his sister behind? Did he believe that she would return one day?

Does the loneliness that "Alyx" felt in her chest in the book refer to Lewis describing how he feels lonely without Alyx?

Lewis: To be completely honest, i have no idea. One moment me and my sister were following a strange looking guy with a strange staff... Like the one you have with you, when i think about it. Then, we woke up "here". I'd say, i never quite thought a world like this could exist in parallel to ours.

Ooh, I like the note that Alyx and Lewis were from pre-war Vacuo. Going by their super formal outfits, maybe even part of the monarchy or upper crust? It might explain why Alyx was been a bit hostile to the Afterans at times, with it being a very insular country that has been burned by supposed allies eventually taking advantage of them.
