What Can Happen If You Postpone RV Windshield Replacement?
Getting a RV windshield replaced is not usually at the top of anyone’s list of tasks they’re eager to do. After all, it’s usually an unexpected expense and time out of your day. But did you know that postponing this service can lead to serious issues that can be even more costly to repair?
If you think about your RV windshield as one of the most important safety features of your vehicle, you can see how RV windshield repair and replacement should be treated as an urgent matter if the glass has been damaged. Even the smallest crack that does not seem like a big deal can quickly become problematic. The good news is that a professional RV auto glass repair specialist in Phoenix is here to help you, making this task on your to-do list much easier and more convenient to complete.
So if you’ve been procrastinating on this for a while, here are 3 things that can happen to your RV windshield if you wait any longer. The following might just convince you to get your windshield replaced as soon as possible.
A Damaged Windshield Compromises your Safety on the Road
First and foremost, safety on the road takes top priority. A RV's windshield is not simply a piece of glass, it’s an integral component of the vehicle’s structure that prevents the roof from getting crushed during an accident. The safety of the entire RV vehicle is compromised when there’s a crack in the windshield, especially if the damage extends to the edges of the windshield. Any damage, including small chips and dents, weakens the RV windshield’s integrity.
If you get into an RV accident, even a minor one, there is a greater risk that your RV windshield will shatter from the impact. A shattered windshield and a crumpled roof pose hazards and can cause injury to you and your passengers. Safety is the primary reason why it's always recommended to get your windshield replaced if it's beyond repair.
The Damage Can Quickly Spread
Temperature changes cause the layers of the RV windshield glass to contract and expand, which is not a problem on a windshield that’s not damaged. However, because a cracked windshield is weaker, the contraction creates pressure and causes the damage to spread.
This issue becomes prevalent as we head into the winters month in Arizona. What may have been one small crack on the bottom of your windshield, you’ll wake up to find the damage has spread significantly after a cold winter’s night. If the damage affects your line of sight and makes driving dangerous, mobile RV windshield replacement in Phoenix is available to meet you at your home, work, or another location.
You May End up Paying More
Some damages may be repairable and may not need a full replacement of your windshield, but the only way to truly find out is by visiting an RV auto glass repair shop in Phoenix, AZ and having a technician take a look. If the damage is small enough, you may only need a repair. The longer you wait, the more the damage spreads until it eventually requires a more costly replacement.

When you're out exploring in your RV, clean, safe drinking water isn't just a luxury, it's a necessity. That's where the trusty RV water filter comes into play. Remember to underestimate its value! It is essential in keeping you hydrated and healthy on the road. In this article, we'll delve into the benefits of having an RV water filter, the types available on the market, and how to choose the right one for your trip. We'll also discuss the importance of clean drinking water on your journey. So buckle up and get ready to dive in!
What is an RV water filter?
An RV water filter is a nifty device that keeps your on-the-go drinking water clean and safe. It helps you stay hydrated and healthy on all your unforgettable road trips. This tiny but mighty gadget plays a significant role in your overall health. Regarding filter maintenance, checking and cleaning your RV water filter regularly is crucial. This ensures that it's functioning optimally. You should also be aware of installation challenges, as not all models fit every RV. You may need to tailor your choice based on your vehicle's specifics.
Filter costs can vary, with higher-end models carrying a heftier price tag. However, they often offer enhanced purification capabilities. It's important to weigh this against product reliability, as not all pricier filters automatically equate to superior performance. The filter lifespan is another critical point to bear in mind. Depending on the make and model, some filters need replacing every three to six months, while others can last up to a year. Remember, a well-maintained RV water filter is vital to enjoying clean, safe water on your adventures. It's a small price for peace of mind and good health.
The benefits of having an RV water filter
Investing in a travel trailer's purification system isn't just about clear, tasty drinks—it's a game changer for your overall well-being. RV water filters offer many benefits, from health improvements to cost-effectiveness. Let's dive into these advantages.
Firstly, an RV water filter system ensures contaminant removal. It eradicates harmful substances like bacteria, lead, and chlorine that lurk in your water supply, providing safe, drinkable water. This gives you peace of mind knowing you're not jeopardizing your health on the open road. Moreover, filter maintenance is a breeze. Cleaning or replacing your filter is simple and quick, ensuring you always have access to pure water. Plus, the filter lifespan is typically long-lasting, meaning you won't constantly be dishing out cash for replacements.
The health benefits are undeniable. Clean water promotes digestion, boosts your immune system, and keeps your skin glowing. Plus, staying hydrated during long drives is vital to maintain alertness and prevent fatigue. Without a doubt, an RV water filter is a cost-effective investment. You'll save money on bottled water and reduce plastic waste, making it an environmentally friendly option. So, next time you plan a road trip, consider the importance of a quality RV water filter.
Types of RV water filters available on the market
When choosing a purification system for your travel trailer, a wide array of options are available, each with its own features and benefits. Considering factors like filter maintenance, installation process, cost analysis, and filter lifespan can guide you toward making an informed decision.
Carbon filters: removing chemical contaminants
You won't believe how carbon filters can effortlessly eliminate harmful chemical contaminants from your RV water, ensuring the health and safety of you and your loved ones. Carbon filters effectively remove impurities such as chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These filters use activated carbon to absorb and trap these contaminants, leaving you with clean and purified water. The porous structure of the carbon allows for a large surface area, which enhances its filtration capabilities. Carbon filters also help improve the taste and odor of your water, ensuring a refreshing and enjoyable drinking experience. Additionally, these filters are easy to install and maintain, making them a popular choice among RV owners.
Sediment filters: filtering out particles and sediments
Explore the wide range of sediment filters designed specifically for capturing particles and sediments to enhance the purity and quality of your RV's water supply. Sediment filters are essential to any RV water filtration system, as they effectively remove larger contaminants such as sand, dirt, rust, and silt. These filters typically consist of a porous material, such as pleated polyester or spun polypropylene, which traps particles and sediments as water flows through. The size of the filter's pores determines its filtration capacity, with smaller pores capable of capturing even the tiniest particles. Sediment filters are easy to install and require minimal maintenance, with most models needing replacement every few months or when the flow rate decreases significantly. Using sediment filters, you can ensure your RV's water supply remains clean, clear, and free from unwanted particles.
Reverse osmosis filters: purifying water through membrane technology
Utilizing reverse osmosis filters enhances the purity and quality of your RV's water supply by purifying it through advanced membrane technology. These filters are designed to remove contaminants and impurities from the water, ensuring you have clean and safe water to use while on your RV adventures. Reverse osmosis filters force water through a semi-permeable membrane, which traps and removes particles, bacteria, viruses, and other harmful substances. This process helps to eliminate any unpleasant taste, odor, or discoloration in the water, making it more enjoyable to drink and use for cooking. Additionally, reverse osmosis filters are highly efficient and can remove up to 99% of contaminants, providing peace of mind and a reliable source of clean water while on the road.
UV filters: killing bacteria and viruses with ultraviolet light
Imagine a filter that harnesses the power of ultraviolet light to swiftly and effectively eliminate bacteria and viruses from your water supply - that's exactly what UV filters do. These filters are designed to use ultraviolet (UV) radiation to kill microorganisms and provide clean, safe drinking water. UV filters work by exposing the water to a UV light source, which damages the DNA of bacteria and viruses, rendering them unable to reproduce and causing them to die off. This process effectively kills many microorganisms, including E. coli, salmonella, and hepatitis. UV filters are a popular choice for RV owners looking for a compact and efficient water purification solution, as they require minimal maintenance and do not add any chemical substances to the water.
Combination filters: offering multiple filtration methods
Get the best of both worlds with combination filters that offer a variety of filtration methods to ensure your drinking water is clean, pure, and safe. These filters are designed to provide multiple layers of protection by integrating different filtration technologies into one unit. One typical combination filter includes activated carbon and ceramic filters. The activated carbon layer removes chlorine, chemicals, and odors, while the ceramic coating effectively eliminates bacteria, cysts, and sediment. Another type of combination filter combines UV sterilization with carbon filtration. This combination effectively kills bacteria and viruses with ultraviolet light while removing contaminants through activated carbon. These combination filters offer a comprehensive approach to water purification. They are handy for RV owners who want to ensure the highest water quality while on the road.
The importance of clean drinking water on road trips
Ensuring access to pure drinking water is paramount during lengthy journeys, as it not only maintains physical well-being but also contributes to a more enjoyable travel experience. This is where your RV water filter becomes a lifesaver. It addresses your hydration necessities by providing a steady supply of clean, safe water, keeping you hydrated and energized for the long haul. Waterborne diseases are a real threat when you're on the road, especially when you're uncertain about the quality of your water source. Unfiltered or contaminated resources can lead to a host of health consequences, from mild discomfort to serious illnesses. Here's where the RV water filter shines—it uses advanced purification methods to remove harmful contaminants, ensuring every drop you drink is pure and safe. So, don't take your chances with dubious water sources. Protect your health and enhance your road trip experience by investing in a reliable RV water filter. Remember, staying hydrated with clean water isn't just about quenching your thirst, it's also about safeguarding your health and ensuring an unforgettable journey. Your road trip deserves the best, and so do you.
How to choose the right RV water filter for your trip
When it comes to ensuring a safe and enjoyable water experience in your RV, there are several factors you should consider before making a decision.
Types of contaminants to remove
When choosing an RV water filter, you'll want to consider the types of contaminants you must remove to ensure clean and safe drinking water on your travels. Various types of contaminants can be found in water, and each RV water filter is designed to remove specific ones. Common pollutants include sediment, chlorine, bacteria, viruses, and heavy metals. Sediment filters are designed to remove larger particles such as dirt, sand, and rust. Chlorine filters are effective in removing the taste and odor of chlorine, which is commonly used in municipal water treatment. Bacteria and virus filters are essential for removing harmful microorganisms that can cause illnesses. Heavy metal filters are designed to remove metals such as lead, mercury, and arsenic.
Filter lifespan and replacement schedule
To ensure your RV water stays clean and fresh, it's important to regularly replace your filter according to its recommended lifespan and schedule. The filter lifespan refers to how long the filter can effectively remove contaminants before it needs to be replaced. This can vary depending on the type of filter and the quality of water being filtered. Some filters may last a few months, while others can last up to a year. It's crucial to follow the manufacturer's instructions on when to replace the filter to maintain its efficiency. Additionally, consider the replacement schedule and availability of replacement filters. You want to be caught with a replacement when your filter needs to be changed, so make sure to plan and have a spare filter on hand.
Water flow rate
Ensure your RV water flows smoothly and efficiently by selecting a high water flow rate filter, allowing you to quickly and effortlessly access clean and fresh water. When choosing an RV water filter, it is essential to consider the water flow rate to ensure that it meets your needs. A high water flow rate means water can pass through the filter faster, resulting in a higher volume of water available. This is particularly important if you have multiple people using the water system in your RV or if you need a large amount of water for activities such as showering or washing dishes. However, it is also essential to strike a balance, as a very high flow rate may compromise the filtration efficiency of the filter. Therefore, finding a filter that offers a good balance between flow rate and filtration performance is essential to ensure both efficiency and convenience.
Installation and maintenance requirements
Remember the installation and maintenance requirements of your RV water filter! These factors are crucial to consider when choosing the right filter for your needs:
It would help if you determined how easy it is to install the filter. Look for filters that come with clear instructions and require minimal tools or expertise.
Consider the maintenance requirements of the filter. Some filters must be replaced frequently, while others can be cleaned and reused. Consider how often you will perform maintenance tasks and choose a filter accordingly.
Consider the availability and cost of replacement parts.
It's essential to choose a filter that has easily accessible and affordable replacement parts to ensure the longevity of your RV water filtration system.
Cost and budget considerations
Regarding cost and budget considerations, you'll want to evaluate the price range of different filters and determine which one aligns with your financial limitations without compromising on quality. It's essential to remember that the filter's initial cost is not the only expense to consider. You should also take into account any ongoing maintenance or replacement costs. Some filters may require frequent filter cartridge changes or other maintenance tasks, which can add up over time. Additionally, consider the filter's lifespan and how often it will need to be replaced. While a higher-priced filter may have a longer lifespan, it could save you money in the long run by reducing the need for frequent replacements.
FAQs
Can I clean and reuse my RV water filter?
Sure, you can clean and reuse your RV water filter. Regular filter maintenance is vital to prolonging your filter lifespan. DIY cleaning methods involve soaking the filter in cleaning solutions to remove impurities. But remember, not all filters are designed for reuse. Check the manufacturer's guidelines or consider reusable alternatives. However, cleaning won't restore the filter to its original efficiency. So, do replace it when necessary to ensure clean, safe water.
Can the RV water filter purify water from any source while on a road trip?
Yes, your RV water filter can purify water from varied sources on your road trip, but its effectiveness depends on the level of source contamination. Filter mechanics are designed to remove certain impurities, but not all. Taking travel precautions, like testing water quality before use, is essential. Always remember your health relies on clean water, so be cautious when sourcing from unfamiliar places.
How does the quality of water affect my health during long road trips?
Contaminants in your drinking water during long road trips can negatively impact your health. They can lead to waterborne diseases, harm dehydration, and cause nutritional deficiencies. If you're not careful, poor-quality water can weaken your immune system, making you more susceptible to illnesses. So, ensure you're hydrating with clean, filtered water to maintain optimal health and energy levels throughout your journey.
Conclusion
So, investing in an RV water filter is about more than just enhancing your road trip experience. It's crucial for your health and hydration too. With various types available, you can find one that fits your needs. Remember, clean drinking water is vital to a memorable journey. Make the right choice and enjoy your unforgettable road trip!

Travelin' Man Pairing - Steve Harrington x HendersonSister!Reader Summary - Well, you didn't love Eddie's plan, but you also didn't see many other options. Word Count - 1.3k Warnings - Language. Also there's not a whole lot of Steve/Reader in this one. It's showing some of the friendship between the reader and Eddie and the reader and Max, but there's still a couple of cute Steve moments!
This was a terrible idea. When Eddie had suggested it, there didn't seem like much of a choice, but as you climbed through the RVs window, trying not to scrape your still ripped stomach across the bottom of it, you thought there had to be a better one.
You just didn’t have the time to think of it.
Following behind Eddie, you squatted down in front of the glove box, reaching in to hand him the supplies you knew he would need as he slid into the driver’s seat. “Just like old times, yeah?” Eddie said with a grin in your direction.
A returning smile formed on your face at the memory, but you playfully rolled your eyes.
“You’ve hot-wired a car before?” You felt Steve’s hand on your back, and looked over to see him watching Eddie work with curious eyes.
“Once.” You admitted, shrugging when he brought his gaze to you. “It was for a good cause. Maybe I’ll tell you about it someday.” You answered with a smirk.
He raised his eyebrows at you before turning back to Eddie. “Where did you even learn how to do this anyway?” Steve asked him.
While Eddie began to tell Steve about his dad, you couldn’t ignore the warm feeling in your gut, that you sincerely hoped was a tinge of affection and not rabies like Robin suggested. It turned out, this was something you hadn’t known you’d been missing. This whole time you had thought that Steve had somehow filled the crater that Eddie had left in his wake when the two of you stopped being friends. However, it turned out that wasn’t the case. Steve had just made his own place in your world, and now with both of them in your life . . . both of those holes are filled.
And replaced with holes that demobats had given you, but that was neither here nor there.
Your thoughts were interrupted by Robin joining the three of you up front. “Eddie, I’m not sure I love the idea of you driving.”
You knew the expression on Eddie’s face. The smirk was one you had seen for years, and you knew exactly what he was going to say before the words ever left his mouth. “Oh, I’m just starting the sucker. Harrington’s got her. Don’t you big boy?” He said, leaning towards Steve with a big smile.
Before anyone could say another word, Eddie started the RV, and the owners wised up to the situation. “Shit! Shit go!” Steve said, jumping into the driver’s seat that Eddie quickly vacated. “Jesus Christ. Everybody hang on to something!”
You slid into the passenger seat beside him and held on tight to the handles just as you heard your little brother yell, “Drive, Steve! Drive!” from the back.
It was not the ideal moment, you knew that, but you couldn’t help but find yourself insanely attracted to your boyfriend right now as he maneuvered all of you out of there and into the safety of backroads. The way his muscles flexed and his arms tensed while he drove around made it really hard to concentrate on the things that you should be.
Like the impending mission to end Vecna.
That brought a frown to your face that Steve noticed immediately. “Are you okay? How bad is the pain?”
You brushed off his concern. “It’s fine. I’m just thinking about what we’re about to do.”
Steve nodded, and the silence between the two of you stretched for a moment. “I guess it’d be pointless to say I hate this plan, right?”
You knew that he did, because you hated it too.
“Shit always goes south the moment we separate.” He continued, “And after what happened with the gate -”
“I can’t just leave Dustin and Eddie to fend for themselves.” You said, interrupting him with a note of finality in your voice. It was the truth. There was never going to be a moment in this world where you would leave Dustin in danger without you or Steve to protect him. And both of you knew that Steve needed to go with Nancy and Robin.
Steve sat there in silence for a moment, absorbing your words before letting out a sigh. “I know.” He said.
You didn’t know what to say to that. What else was there to say? You didn’t want to separate from him, but once again, it didn’t seem like there was any other choice. This conversation wasn’t going to make any difference in what had to happen. For anyone. You glanced in the rear view mirror at the rest of the people in the van. Dustin and Eddie, Robin and Nancy, Erica, Lucas and Max . . . Your eyes lingered on the girl who was probably putting her life more at risk than anyone.
Standing up, you took a step towards Steve, running a hand through his hair briefly before leaning down to press a lingering kiss to his cheek. He took his eyes off the road to smile at you softly for a brief moment, leaning into your touch. “I’m going to go talk to Max for a minute.” You told him.
Steve glanced back at her in the mirror, and you didn’t miss the look of worry that passed through his eyes. “Yeah, that’s probably a good idea.”
Every single moment when Steve’s care for these kids showed, a part of you fell a little more in love with him. With another kiss on his cheek you made your way back to Max, stopping briefly to knock your brother’s hat off his head before plopping down beside her.
You hadn’t even been sitting there thirty seconds when she spoke up. “I’m going to do this, and nothing you can say can talk me out of it.”
A small, sad smile formed on your face at her determined tone. “I wasn’t going to try and talk you out of it Max. As much as I don’t like it, or anything we’re about to do really, it’s your decision to make.”
“Oh.” She seemed surprised at your words, and a little bit of tension eased from your shoulders.
“I was coming over here to tell you I think you’re brave as shit.” You told her. “And to apologize for falling victim to the trap of becoming slightly obsessed with your new boyfriend and forgetting everything else.” When Max looked down, you reached out to grab her hand. “I should have checked up on you after everything.”
She shook her head and still didn’t meet your gaze, but didn’t try to dislodge your hand. “It’s fine. It’s not like we’re best friends or anything-“
“Nope,” you cut her off. “More like an annoying little sister that I secretly always wanted.” You said, giving her hand a squeeze. “Don’t tell Dustin.” You whispered.
That made her look up at you, and this time, you saw a smile on her face. “I think you’d make an awesome big sister. Even if you do become obsessed with your boyfriend.” She teased, and you both looked up to the front where Steve was still driving, now talking to Nancy. “Can’t say I blame you though.”
“He’s a good guy. The best actually.” You said, but then shook your head. “Not an excuse though, and after we get done with this shit show, I’m taking you shopping and then to get ice cream, just like we did with El when the mall was open.”
There was a genuine smile on her face this time, but she looked down and gripped your hand slightly tighter. “I miss her.”
“I do too.” You replied, and you did. El had taken a spot in your heart much like Max. Really, the longer you went without hearing from her, the more worried you became about all of them, Mike, Will, and Jonathan included, but now was not the time to mention that. “I’m sure she’d be here if she could though.”
Max shrugged. “Guess we just have to be superheroes this time.”
You smiled at her. “Guess so.”
You just hoped all of you could manage it.

The Willows Never Stopped Weeping for You
Pairing-Tyler Owens x female OC (Olivia Wright)
Warnings- language, drinking, angst, death, injury, smut
Summary- Olivia let Tyler go to carry out his dreams, but broke his heart in the process. What happens when in the wreckage of a little small town he learns the real reason she left him, and how do they repair it?
A/N- we back at it again on the angst train, third week in a row lol!! I really loved this one, twisters was so good and I am excited to start writing for the fandom! As always, like, comment, reblog anything to let me know what you think!
“We’ve gotta get the hell out of dodge, we can’t sit here any longer Ty!” Dani is panicked, sweat dripping from their brow as they tremble, eyes wild and afraid of what will happen if they don’t make it out.
“I can’t- I can’t leave without her goddamnit and you know it, go ahead of me, you gotta trust me! We will make it out of here, get everyone to safety Dan, I’m serious get the hell out of here!” He yells over the roar of the wind, shoving them towards the rv and as much as it pains the crew, they know Tyler would die in this storm before he ever left Olivia behind. She was his everything, he’d loved her his whole life, and even if things were broken between them he would die a thousand times over to make sure she was safe.
——————————————————————
The crew had been up and down the state the past few weeks, working together with Javi and his crew to test out Kate’s theory and it had been one hell of a ride. They’d mostly been able to help keep the damage to a minimum, but as always with storms like these it was always a risk.
The little town on the outskirts of Enid had been ravaged more than once, but this storm seemed to be hell bent on taking whatever was left of the small community and turning it to rubble. So many injured, and so many homes and businesses destroyed, it seemed like a no-brainer that the government would send aid relief workers to help repair the damage, but what Tyler Owens hadn’t foreseen was the bright green eyes and auburn hair of his first love as he helped people in the aftermath.
Olivia Wright had been his everything since he was fourteen years old, occupied every one of his dirty fantasies and dreams of the future. He’d never been more sure of anyone in his life, until they’d crashed and burned so spectacularly shortly after college. He’d fallen in love with storm chasing, his dreams of working for the NWS had turned into something else entirely as he and the crew of misfits he migrated to became more and more obsessed with the beauty and danger these storms brought.
Liv had their whole future planned, finish college, get married. Ty would work for the NWS and she would become a nurse, fulfilling your passion to help people and getting to be by his side while he pursued his passion for meteorology. The two of them were growing apart, everyone could see it but him, and she knew she’d have to be the one to let go, he was always bigger than the whole sky and Liv couldn’t bear to keep him down. So she broke his heart and her own, and in that time she watched him flourish. His channel and all of his friends, the articles written about his discoveries, she watched it all with rapt attention, he was living out his dreams and Liv couldn’t have been more proud. Eventually she had to decide what was best for her, and watching storms ravage communities just like hers in Arkansas became too much to bear, working in disaster relief and helping to save lives became her passion, she kept her head down and let the work take over, but never lost hope that one day she’d run smack dab into that man that was as wild as the western wind.
It had happened less like a rom com and more like a horror movie, he’d seen her first and lost his cool immediately, ducking under an awning and scrambling to find somewhere, anywhere else to be but near her. Lily, who had been both of their friends in college couldn’t quite figure out what the hell was wrong with him, but it didn’t take long to spot her bright hair and the FEMA t-shirt Liv was sporting as she handed out water to a group not far from theirs.
“Oh my God is that my Livvy?!” She shrieked as she ran for her friend, the two of them erupting in giggles and swaying each other in the midst of the debris-covered road.
“Lily bug!! Oh my goodness what are y’all doing here?! I thought from your last video you guys were over near Lawton!” She said, smacking a hand over her mouth as she realized she’d given herself away already.
“Ooh so you have been watching hmm? Come say hi to everyone cutie pie, it’s been too long and we need to catch up.” She pulled her along but Liv tried to dig her heels in, wild green eyes panicked.
“I can’t intrude Lils, and I don’t want to make Tyler uncomfortable, I’m sure he doesn’t want to see me” she says as she puts both hands up in surrender but Lily is having none of it.
“Nope, you don’t get to pussy out Olivia, life is too short and you know it. Now come on! I want to hear all about your life, and Dani makes some bomb ass burritos so you should try to eat something, it’s gonna be a long day babygirl.
————————————————————-
He somehow manages to avoid her like the plague all day, catching glimpses here and there but mostly staying close to Kate and Javi, much to Lily's frustration if the glares she’s cut at him all afternoon are any indication.
Livvy wasn’t quite sure what to make of it; she had been watching them for so long online that she felt like she knew the crew personally, they were some of the kindest people she’d ever met and it wasn’t lost on her that all of them had been brought together by Ty. He’d made himself a family, it was just another thing that she had missed her chance on and she couldn’t help but feel a little emotional over it.
When Kate had come over to introduce herself later in the evening, it had been obvious to Olivia that she and Tyler had something going on. It was hard to dislike her, she was beautiful and kind, and smart as a whip from what Liv could tell. Definitely perfect for him, so after a while of watching them all interact and being all but ignored by her oldest friend, it got to be too much and she found a way to make her escape, using an early morning as an excuse and holing up in her motel room to lick her wounds and cry.
Lily chases after her with another nasty glare in Tyler’s direction, everyone had questions now and he couldn’t give them, waving them off with a middle finger as he stumbled through the parking lot, a little tipsy and feeling an ache in his chest that he’d thought he’d healed from.
“Liv! Stop damnit, I know this shit is hard but just talk to me honey, tell me.” Lily shouts into the crowded lot and watches her friend's shoulders sag as she turns with tears sliding down her cheeks.
“Oh Lily.” She lets out a ragged breath and lets it all wash over her, everything she’s left unsaid and held deep inside. “I could never deny him happiness, if it’s not with me that’s OK, it’s been a long time and I’ve learned to accept it. If Kate makes him happy then of course I want that for him. I never stopped loving him, so of course I would always want what’s best for him. It wasn’t right back then Lily, that kinda love was unpredictable. We were growing together like two gnarled trees, neither of us were helping the other reach our potential and I had to let him go so we didn’t end up hating each other. “ A shudder runs through her at the declaration, tears are threatening to seep from her eyes but she won’t give them the satisfaction.
“That sounds like horseshit and you know it” Lily says she jabs her finger into Liv’s shoulder, her eyes are full of fire. Liv knows she means well, she’s always been a good man in the storm, someone you want in your corner when things get hard which is why she’s so glad that Tyler has her. Liv lets her shoulders sag and look at Lily full of defeat.
“I can’t change it now, even if I wish I could.”
“Do you wish you could?” She says with raised eyebrow and Olivia gives her a little nod.
“Every day. I miss him every day.” Tears well up in her eyes and she shivers as the wind blows through the camp, but she won’t let the pain overtake her, she made her choice and she can only hope that he’ll be happy.
Olivia doesn’t see it but Lily does, Tyler is half hidden behind the RV, he’s heard it all and she watches as his face goes from grief stricken to angry turning on his heel as he walks off into the dark, the weight of her confession breaking his heart all over again.
—————————————————
He paces the concrete hallway of the motel for what feels like hours, letting the weight of what she said run over him. Had he really been so blind? Olivia hadn’t wanted to let him go, and he’d never thought to question it when she pushed him away. He had been hurt and stubborn, shutting down immediately and saying some of the meanest things he could hurl at her to hurt her back. In hindsight he should have known she was just trying to give him the ability to do what he wanted, but just the fact that she had convinced herself that she was what was holding him back made a fire rage in him. Sure it would have been hard to manage, but they could’ve handled it! They could handle anything together, he’d always told her that, why she would have ever thought otherwise was something he couldn’t reconcile with.
He was at her door before he could stop himself, rapping sharply on the peeling metal and praying that she would listen. The sounds of the lock being undone told him she was still awake, the door swinging open to reveal her puffy tear stained face, hair up in a messy knot on her head and an oversized t shirt full of holes, one that had definitely belonged to him.
“Why are you here Ty? You’d had all day to say something to me, and you waited until midnight?” She said with a sniffle, there was no point in trying to hide what she’d been doing, it was all over her face and his heart clenched in his chest knowing he’d hurt her again.
“You didn’t want us to end, did you?” He said gruffly, he wasn’t leaving until he got his answers, he needed to know the truth.
“What does it matter now? You’re with Kate-“ she said as more tears formed, arms wrapped tightly around her waist as though she was trying to hold herself together.
“I’m not. We tried it, but she’s got her own demons to work out, and we agreed it would be better to be friends. Answer my question baby, I need to hear it. Do you still want me?” He was leaning in close to the door frame now, close enough to feel the heat radiating from his body and smell the beer on his breath. Liv let out a ragged breath and nodded, that was all he needed to push the door the rest of the way open and pull her into his arms, kicking the door shut behind him as he pressed kisses to her cheek and neck while she held on for dear life. Sobs wracked her body as he sat down on the creeky mattress, pulling her into his lap as he rocked her side to side.
“My sweet girl” he murmured into her hair, he let her cry it all out until she relaxed in his grip, tipping her chin up to look at him as he stroked her cheek.
“I never stopped hoping for this, I didn’t want to hold you back but- I can’t stay away anymore. I-I love you Ty, I always will.” She stuttered and he let out a groan as he pressed his mouth to hers, flipping them both so she was on her back and spread out for him, she’d been the star of every fantasy he’d ever had, and nothing would ever be as good as the real thing.
“I never stopped either Livvy girl, can I have you? Please baby I- I need it, need to show you how much I missed you.” He looks wrecked, hair a mess and eyes wild, and she can’t stop herself from pulling him down to her, licking into his mouth and running her hands over his broad shoulders, watching him shiver in her embrace as he grinds down into her.
They make up for all the time lost, re-learning each other's bodies until the early morning, finally coming up for air when Tyler’s phone begins to go off with weather alerts and texts from Boone.
“Looks like there’s another cell coming this way, we need to get these people to safety while we can.” He says with a sigh as he rolls his body off of hers, she’s sated and happy as she stretches her limbs like a cat and moans, he feels himself twitch in his boxers as he watches her. She’s like a siren, calling him back to her and he wants nothing more to than to stay right here between the sheets and ravage her again.
“Stop looking at me like that Owens, or we’ll never get out of here in time” she playfully punches his chest and he lets out a hearty laugh, they’d have plenty of time to talk and catch up, he wouldn’t be letting her out of his sight anytime soon.
“Ok, ok sugar, let’s get back out here, storms a comin’ and times a wastin’.”
——————————————————————-
He should have known. He should have known they’d never get that lucky, especially knowing how unpredictable the storms had been this season.
They thought they’d had more time, weather warnings saying the tornado would likely just pass the town, but it had all gone wrong. What had started out as one had turned into two, splitting off and causing maximum damage to what was left of the area. He’d lost Liv and Boone somewhere along the way, Kate and Javi and the rest of the crew were safely out of danger, but somehow the twister had gotten between his truck and yours, and when the dust had settled you and Boone were nowhere to be found.
He was sick, bile crawling up his throat as he trembled, they’d been searching the perimeter when he’d heard Boone screaming for help, tearing through the field of corn to find your upturned truck, mangled and covered in broken glass. Boone had tried his best to pull you from the wreckage, but his shoulder was mangled; most likely dislocated from the crude angle it hung from.
Tyler pulled Olivia’s limp body out and heard a sharp gasp from her, she was alive, that was good. At least that was what he thought until he got her in his arms and saw the jagged shrapnel wedged in her abdomen, blood flowing like a water hose from the wound, way too much to be a minor wound. She kept lolling her head back and forth as she tried to lift her hand to his face, god there was blood everywhere, he couldn’t take the metal out, what if that made it worse? He yelled for Boone to give him his shirt, tears pouring from his eyes as he tried to stop the bleeding, but it just wouldn’t stop coming.
“Livvy, baby look at me ok?” He says with a gentle pat to her cheek, her eyes keep rolling around in her head as she tries to focus on something, anything, but she just can’t seem to get there.
Finally she seems to see him through her unfocused bloodshot eyes, a small victory and he breathes for the first time since he found her.
“Oh god, Ty there’s so much blood! What happened? Are- are you ok? How do we stop it? We need help!” She cries out as her body shakes in his arms, she’s going into shock and bleeding to death but is still selfless to the end, always worried about everyone but herself.
He’s sobbing so hard now he can hardly speak, just kissing whatever skin he can get to as he holds her tightly, still pressing hard into the gaping wound despite knowing it won’t do anything to stop the inevitable. He’s going to lose her, and he just got her back.
A scream comes from somewhere, Tyler jolting awake from the world’s most uncomfortable hospital chair. He’s drenched in sweat, and his neck aches, as he looks around the dimly lit room he realizes the scream came from him. He’s replayed that awful night over and over for the past three days, it ends with Olivia choking on her own blood as she fades away and he can’t seem to make his brain understand that while it definitely happened that way, the end result wasn’t quite so gruesome. She’s alive, unconscious, but alive. How EMS found them in time will consume his thoughts for a good long while. He’d been so sure he’d lost her but the miracles just kept coming because somehow the doctors were able to save her and had assured him that though recovery would be long and hard she would in fact recover.
—————————————————————
Months later he would still be convinced it was all just a dream, the nightmares had ceased but the jagged scar along Olivia’s sternum would always be there to remind him of how close he’d come to losing it all.
He lived for chasing storms, he’d convinced himself it was everything he’d ever need after she’d left, but he’d been so wrong.
She’d never ask him to give it up, but he didn’t know if he could continue to run after something that had nearly taken everything from him. He and Kate took a job consulting with the NWS on her research after Ben’s article got traction, and he left his truck to Boone to continue the legacy and the channel. He wanted to prevent the storms from happening before they started and he knew with Kate’s research and the grants from the government they could really dig in and make a difference.
He asked her to marry him on her birthday, 6 months after the accident and she’d said yes before he could even finish his speech. The future hadn’t been linear like he thought, he didn’t have to accept what he thought he deserved and finally allowed himself to accept what he wanted. Olivia Wright Owens sounded damn good to him, and maybe one day a house full of babies. Yeah he could definitely make that his new dream.

Indigeneity, Agenda 47 (Project 2025), and Social Security
Update: I think our best hope is that these plans aren't really implemented. Maybe people will become aware and there will be pushback from other elected officials to stop it. Trump's administration didn't go through with its entire 2016 plan. Maybe we'll dodge a bullet this time too.
This affects all Americans.
If you're in the US, you should be aware that the Trump administration plan includes reducing and/or shutting down Social Security which includes SSDI ("disability") / SSI ("welfare"), Medicare / Medicaid, along with EBT / SNAP ("food stamps").
This could also disband Tribes and take our remaining homelands. This could be the Termination Era coming back.
A lot of people voted for him having no idea that they may have voted to end their own healthcare, financial and food assistance in the coming year.
A lot of vulnerable people are at risk in the next year.
Insulin rationing is already happening to Americans (there's a common lie that "insulin was capped at $35!" when that only applies to seniors on a specific Medicare plan, which may be going away) even with the bare minimum social safety net that is Social Security / Medicare / Medicaid.
People are already going hungry even with SNAP / EBT food cards.
If you know anyone who relies on Social Security, or is "on disability" SSDI, or lives in poverty "on welfare" SSI, or needs Medicare or Medicaid for their healthcare and prescriptions, be very aware that you might see scary things happen in 2025, as part of "Agenda 47" (Project 2025).
The campaign had a fake website with nameless AI-generated "Native people" declaring support for the Project:
Zoom in on the hand and the strange sign meme text:
None of these people have names. They don't exist.
This is a project that may include disbanding our remaining Tribes, taking our remaining land and selling it to the highest international bidder.
They could do the same to all "federal land", like National Parks which Trump began doing in 2016 with Bears Ears National Monument a place that used to be protected, with ancient Native petroglyph rock art that now has ATV trails and RV parking, and is open for uranium mining:
From the fake site with AI generated "Native people" telling you we support this plan:
The "community-based self-reflection on how we identify as Native people of the United States" is a return of the Termination Era, where all Tribes are disbanded and we "become Americans" or cease to exist as Native people. Our nations are older than the US. The Trump administration has no right to force yet another assimilation policy on us.
This is a land grab, a theft of public resources, and will rob from the poorest people in the US including your neighbors.
This will affect everyone, Native or not.
I don't have any solution. This is just a warning.

Shopping Spree, Hangout Dreams AU Headcannons Part 4 | Daryl Dixon x Fem!Reader
Word count: 625.
A/n: Okay, so here's some more of my own personal headcannons for this au because I have nothing else to post lol. However, these focus more on the canon timeline, because I want to write more for this au in the show's events. Anyways, I hope y'all enjoy!
★ When the quarry camp got overrun with walkers, Daryl couldn't find you at first.
★ His whole world shattered for a moment when he called for you but you didn't answer him. He thought that the walkers had gotten you, and he was ready to kill anyone and anything in his path.
★ However, you finally called out to him. When you did, he ran to you and practically crushed your body to him.
★ He had just lost his brother. He couldn't handle losing you, too.
★ He held you that entire night. He wouldn't let you go.
★ When everyone got to the CDC, Daryl was relieved. Not only were you safe, but there was a doctor that could help deliver the baby.
★ He spent the night (while very slightly intoxicated) cuddled up on your stomach. Before he fell asleep, he whispered sweet nothings to your baby, his baby, as well as saying an endless amount of “I love you's” to you.
★ Yeah, that dream of his got ruined quickly. You think he was pissed at Jenner in the show? Multiply that by a hundred when his wife and unborn child are in danger. The only reason Jenner didn't get a beating was because you were clinging to him and trying to calm him down.
★ When those doors opened, he practically dragged you out of there. The others were still stumbling around, but the two of you were running for those doors upstairs the minute Jenner opened the doors.
★ When the horde on the highway passed and everyone was looking for Sophia, you were right by his side. He wanted you to stay by the RV but with T-Dog injured and him not fully trusting only Dale to keep you safe, he brought you along.
★ Not without a gun, though. He trusted your shooting skills. The two of you had taken up shooting practice with guns for hunting back in the day, so he felt comfortable enough with letting you carry a gun.
★ It did take a lot of threatening convincing for Shane to give in, but Daryl wouldn't let up.
★ When the farm finally came along, your escapades were put on a temporary halt.
★ Not because he didn't trust you to help look for Sophia, but because with the safety the farm provided and with a doctor available, it was time to properly start thinking of the baby.
★ Hershel gave the two of you a few baby books to read, and Daryl stayed up late into the night while you slept, reading and preparing himself for everything.
★ He did get excited when he learnt that having sex didn't hurt the baby, but he would never force you into that. It was just nice knowing that if you wanted to, he could give you what you wanted without having to worry about hurting the baby.
★ You did want it, more easily aroused than ever before because of your hormones, but there was a time and place for that—Hershel's farm while sleeping in a tent near everyone wasn't the time nor place for that.
★ Daryl really wanted the farm to work out. Unlike in the show, he'd be on Rick's side with wanting to stay. It was the safest option for you and your unborn baby, and he'd be damned if someone (Shane) ruined everything.
★ When Daryl got shot, he may or may not have been proud of you when news of you punching Andrea circled back to him.
★ He did get a proper scolding from you for scaring you like that, though.
★ He wasn't mad because he understood, and when he saw your tears, he brought you into his arms, despite the pain in his body.
★ You were the only one who was able to reach out to him when everyone found out that Sophia was dead.
★ Seeing walker Sophia instilled a new yet old fear in him—what if he failed your baby? What if your baby died because he couldn't protect them? What if you died because he couldn't protect you?
★ It took a lot of comforting to calm him down. You knew that you wouldn't be able to erase his fear, but you could be there for him and reassure him to the best of your abilities.

Why Do You Require RV Auto Glass Repair After Damage from Heat?
Your RV’s windshield is more than just a shield against the elements; it’s a crucial component of your vehicle’s safety system. Extreme temperatures, especially heat, can have a significant impact on your auto glass. Understanding why you need to address auto glass damage caused by heat promptly can help you maintain the safety and integrity of your RV. Here’s a detailed look at why RV auto glass repair is essential after heat-induced damage.
Temperature-Driven Expansion and Contraction
RV windshields are designed with laminated glass, consisting of two layers of glass with a layer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) in between. This construction helps absorb impacts and distribute stress. However, extreme temperatures can cause this glass to expand and contract. During the hot summer months, the glass can expand significantly, aggravating existing chips or cracks. When you turn on the air conditioning, the sudden temperature drop can cause the glass to contract rapidly, further exacerbating the damage. This thermal stress can lead to more severe cracks if not addressed promptly.
Risk of Crack Propagation
A small chip or crack might seem manageable, but heat can make these minor issues much worse. The constant expansion and contraction of the glass can cause small chips to grow into larger cracks. Once a crack becomes too extensive, it may no longer be repairable, necessitating a full windshield replacement. This progression not only increases the cost of repairs but also compromises the structural integrity of your RV’s windshield.
Impact on Visibility and Driving Safety
Your RV’s windshield plays a crucial role in maintaining clear visibility while driving. Cracks and chips can distort your view and create glare, particularly when exposed to sunlight. Reduced visibility can make it difficult to see road conditions, obstacles, and other drivers, increasing the risk of accidents. Promptly addressing any damage helps ensure you maintain optimal visibility and drive safely.
Importance for Structural Integrity and Airbag Function
The windshield is integral to your RV’s overall safety system. It helps maintain the structural integrity of the vehicle and supports the proper deployment of airbags during an accident. A damaged windshield may not perform its intended function, potentially increasing the risk of injury during a crash or rollover. Ensuring your windshield is in good condition is vital for the safety of all occupants.
Cost Efficiency and Insurance Considerations
Repairing a small chip or crack before it worsens is usually more cost-effective than waiting for the damage to become severe. Many insurance policies cover the cost of auto glass repairs, often without requiring you to pay a deductible. Addressing damage early can save you from paying for a full replacement and avoid potential fines for driving with a damaged windshield.
Choosing a Reliable RV Auto Glass Repair Service
When seeking repair services for your RV’s auto glass, it’s essential to choose a reputable company with experience in handling RV-specific issues. Many service providers offer mobile repairs, allowing you to have the work done at your location for convenience. Ensure the company uses high-quality materials and skilled technicians to perform the repairs.
The impact of heat on your RV’s auto glass can lead to significant issues if not addressed promptly. By understanding the effects of temperature on your windshield and seeking timely repairs, you can maintain the safety, functionality, and longevity of your RV’s glass. Prompt action not only helps avoid costly replacements but also ensures you and your passengers remain safe on the road. If you notice any damage to your RV’s windshield, don’t wait. Contact a rv auto glass repair Phoenix professional to get the issue resolved quickly and efficiently.

Thirsty Thursday - Steve’s Competency Kink
Thirsty Thursday - Steve’s Competency Kink
steddie, omegaverse, canon compliant
Steve isn’t expecting it, having spent so much of the past few days fighting a drop with how much stress his pack is under.
His desire to protect Max would be making it hard enough without the rest of the bullshit going on.
But the rest is going on, and he knows he’s been leaning too hard on Robin and the safety of her herbal scent. Leaning too hard on the pups, taking comfort in caring for them.
It should all be too much for any of them, really. He can smell it all the time: stress and fear and pain. Knows he’s giving off just as much of the same, no matter how much he works to exude calm and safety for the pack.
But here he is, watching Eddie Munson hotwire an RV and getting wet enough that he knows the alphas can smell it.
They must be able to, with how sticky he already feels. He’ll have to peel his underwear off when he finally has a chance, a mess of slick at his crotch.
Robin gives him a very confused look, and Nancy is fortunately focused on wrangling the pups. Eddie has a pair of pliers held in his mouth, the metal hopefully impeding his sense of smell, at least for now.
But Steve knows he’s too close.
It’s only a matter of time before Eddie picks up on his scent, on the arousal in it.
And it shouldn’t be hot! Nothing about the situation should remotely turn him on!
Steve presses his thighs together, grimaces, and tries his hardest to push down his desire to moan.
It’s just watching Eddie cut and strip the wires, keeping up his conversation with Robin, every movement sure… He knows what he’s doing. It may be highly suspect, but it’s a skill. Another way Eddie is good with his hands, and it makes Steve imagine those hands touching him.
Steve is shocked out of his daydream by Eddie turning to him. The smarmy, “Harrington’s got her. Don’t ya, big boy,” making him blush as he scrambles into the seat, his brain kicking into gear as they steal the RV.
They’ve made it decently down the road when Eddie leans over Steve’s shoulder and says, “Sorry for dropping the driving on you like that, what with involving you in the actual crime and all.”
“What?” Steve’s still having trouble focusing beyond driving and Eddie’s warm scent.
“Like, everyone else is just an accessory to theft, but if we get busted, it’s you and me—grand theft auto.”
Steve shrugs. “Price of saving the world, I guess.”
“Well, Thanks for being cool about it. Most people get all weird about the shit my old man taught me.”
Steve shrugs again, glances up into the rearview mirror to look Eddie in the eye. “Skill’s a skill, and you’re fucking skilled.”
“Oh, yeah?”
“Yeah…” He swallows, feels the words ready to tumble out of his mouth and figures, fuck it, they might be dead by morning. “It was hot.”
“Yeah?” Eddie asks again, voice so soft now.
“Really hot.”
His hand reaches forward, grips Steve’s shoulder. “Pretty much everything you do is hot.”
“Shut up.”
“If it weren’t for the fact I’m a total chickenshit, I’d have kissed you after you bit apart that bat.”
“Gross, Eddie! I had blood in my mouth! Monster blood!” Steve hisses.
“And it was fucking hot!”
“Whatever.” But Steve is smiling.
When he glances at Eddie in the rearview again, he’s smiling, too.
Camping in the meadow and prepping doesn’t give them much time, but Eddie and Steve still find a minute to meet up in the bathroom.
Eddie washes his hands, then he shows Steve what else his clever fingers can do.

a collapsing star with tunnel vision.
@steddielovemonth prompt, day one: love is stealing an RV together (@shares-a-vest)
rating: t | wc: 650 | cw: smoking weed | tags: getting together, love confessions, idiots in love, come hell or high water I will make them stargaze, title from a fob song
Smoke curls out of the joint they share as Steve and Eddie lay in the grass just beyond Steve's pool. It's chilly, the cool breeze that takes the smoke into its wispy fingers and pulls it up towards the sky a harbinger of pending autumn. Summer has been fun, but Steve's grateful for the change of seasons.
A new season means more time between them and Vecna, between them and angry mobs, and hospital visits, and physical therapy.
Just a few months ago, he'd thought that his time was up so while summer used to be Steve's favorite season, he's thankful now to watch time pass. Especially when it crawls like this, slow and syrupy as the night blankets he and Eddie.
His friendship with Eddie had been a surprise, but all the more surprising is how it's easily its evolved from friendship to something more. Or, it has at least on Steve's end. Eddie is naturally touchy, always bouncing into Steve's personal space, poking him, calling him things like big boy or sweetheart. It's hard to tell with him if it's just how Eddie is, or if it means something.
Steve wants it to mean something. Probably has since the first time Eddie leaned in, close enough for Steve to feel his breath against his skin, and called him big boy back in the RV.
The RV that they stole. That Steve watched as Eddie deftly hot-wired, berating himself for knowing how to all the while. But for Steve, stealing that RV together told him a lot about Eddie, things that he still hasn't forgotten. Like how Eddie has hopes of being something more, how Eddie's known how to steal cars for years and only pulled it out of his arsenal when it was for good, how Eddie could've been picking locks and torturing those who've tortured him but he decides not to. Well before actual evil, Eddie had looked some of the worst the world has to offer directly in the eyes and didn't let it make a monster of him.
Stealing the RV together, oddly enough, lands Steve knee-deep in love with the man laying beside him, one hand on his stomach and the other point towards the sky, tracing imaginary constellations.
"... kinda like an evil mouse, right? You see that?"
Steve grins and stubs out the joint, saving the rest for later as he turns slightly to gaze at Eddie, not whatever weird evil mouse he thinks he sees among the stars.
"Yeah, definitely. Totally an evil mouse."
Eddie's head rolls to the side, cheek pressed against the grass, and furrows his brows. "You're not even looking."
"Eh, there's more important stuff to look at down here."
"Shut up." He watches as a pink hue colors Eddie's neck and cheeks, a blush creeping up from his collarbones. It's rare that Steve stuns Eddie these days, but when he does, it's his favorite thing in the whole world.
Maybe it's the joint, maybe it's the promise of a new season, or maybe it's just the safety he feels under the cover of night, but Steve scoots closer.
"Can I tell you a secret?" Steve asks, voice barely above a whisper. It doesn't need to be any louder, not with his mouth now so close to Eddie's.
Eddie nods, rolling over to his side to quick to be smooth.
Bravery is a term used loosely these days, but Steve feels brave in this moment. Feels untouchable.
"I think I kinda love you."
Silence rests loudly on the grass between them for one, two, three seconds before Eddie closes the distance, responding without words. Every nerve ending in Steve's broken but healing body lights up, electrical as the concept of new beginnings shivers down his spine.
The wind blows again as they kiss, reminding Steve of the seasons changing in his life, this time, in more ways than one.

Safety Net T | 545 words Prompt for @steddielovemonth: Love is feeling safe
When Eddie told Steve that he would be there for him no matter what, that the monsters he's trying to keep Eddie safe from don't scare him, that Steve will always be his number one...
Well, he didn't think the monster part was literal.
He's sure that the only thing getting him through the Upside Down was pure adrenaline.
But, now that they're out, he can feel it catching up to him. He struggles to keep his hands still as he points out the war zone ad.
Steve is the only thing holding him together. He keeps shifting closer, swaying so their shoulders bump together or finding an excuse to lean over, so their sides are pressed together. He even managed to use Max on the phone as the perfect excuse to throw his arm over Eddie's shoulders.
But, holding a bin lid with nails hammered through it and looking down at Dustin... a kid, someone so young and small and...
"Eddie?" Dustin calls, worried.
"I need a minute, alone, ok? Just- one moment."
He stumbles back into the RV, relieved to hear Dustin arguing against whoever tries to follow him inside.
Until the door opens and Steve snaps back at him; "I'm making sure he's ok. If he doesn't want me here then he can tell me and I'll leave."
Dustins response is lost in how hard Steve slams the door shut, locking it before turning to Eddie.
"Oh, Eds," he whispers.
He sits next to him, wrapping him up in his arms. It's easy enough with how Eddie is sat, arms curled around his knees and hugging his legs to his chest.
"This is horrible," Eddie mumbles, turning so he can bruy his face in Steves neck, grabbing onto the front of his top. "I hate this, I hate this so much."
"I know," Steve shushes him, rocking him slightly, brushing one hand through his hair. "I know. I've got you. We're gonna win this, ok? We've got a plan. We've done this before. It's going to be ok. You're going to be ok."
"You can't promise that. This whole... thing... it's fucked, man, it's so fucked."
"I can and I am. You're going to be ok," Steve gently pulls back a little, so he can look Eddie in the eye, one hand cupping his face. "You are. You just have to listen to Dustin on this. He's a shit, but he cares about you. You just need to get through the gate, that's it. You'll be alright."
Eddie snorts, grabbing hold of Steves wrist and keeping his hand pressed to his face. "Telling me to listen to Dustin? Now I know you're lying, it's the end of the world, he's gonna hold that over our heads for the rest of our lives."
"Oh, it'll be terrible." He lifts his other hand, holding Eddies face in his hands, leaning forward to press their foreheads together. "Seriously though, Eds, you'll be fine. You're gonna be safe, I'll make sure of it. I'll give Dustin whatever rant he needs to hear. You're gonna be fine and then we can finally go on that coffee date."

Hii!!! This account has been my go-to for daryl fics since ive been into him. And i really love the way you write!! But since im a sucker for angst and anything cry-worthy, ive been wanting a fic where its in pre-negan and to negan's first appearance timeline— after rick decides to bring maggie to the hilltop to figure out what's wrong with her, the reader is to stay with gabriel to watch out for alexandria, but considering how her anxiety for daryl and the other's safety is eating her she went out to look for them, using the tracking skills daryl had taught her. The time she found the group was at the lineup, Abraham's head already bashed to a unidentifiable pulp. Due to the scene she couldnt help but act in fury and tried attacking negan but his men was able to catch up and before she could even lay a finger on negan, she was kneeling aswell. this triggers Daryl, not being able to see reader in such danger as he vowed to protect her at all cost and punched negan which causes him to stumble. And instead of glenn dying at Daryl's outburst, its the reader who gets a taste of lucille.
And i leave the rest to you! :DD
Well first of all anon I am HONORED to be your go to 🥹 please accept this flower as a token of my appreciation 🌸
Anyways, I’m an absolute sucker for angst and you have INSPIRED ME. I hope you’re ready for the b i g sad.

The Man Who…

(Fem!Reader) (Reader Description: has hair)
Warnings: blood, gore, profanity
With your teeth chewing tirelessly at your nail beds, the flesh had become raw. A faint hue of blood settled in between the cracks on your lips.
A deep pit had formed in your gut. It was vacuous, consuming. Your nerves were eating you alive. Nobody had come back yet. You knew it wouldn’t be a quick trip, but still. And nobody had radioed back in over an hour.
You sucked in a sharp breath, partially in hopes that the sensation of air filling your lungs would calm the rapid pace of your heart.
“Is something the matter?” Gabriel asked you, having picked up on your restlessness.
“We haven’t heard from them.” You said simply, foot tapping against the ground. Gabriel pressed his lips together and nodded.
“The Lord is with them. They’ll be okay.” He assured you. With a scoff, your rolled your eyes. Who was he to preach to you in times of need? What did he care? He left his entire congregation to be eaten alive.
“I have to use the bathroom.” You announced abruptly, pushing your chair back and exiting the room with haste. You stomped down the hall into the bathroom, locking the door behind you.
You stared at yourself for a while, begging your reflection for some guidance. Daryl told you to stay put. You made a deal with him a long time ago, never to break away from the plan unless you had no choice. However, would he sit idly by if he didn’t know you were safe? Surely not. You may have made a deal with him, but the two of you had also taken an oath to each other.
It was the silent, unspoken kind of promise. Neither of you needed to say it out loud, you just knew. You’d always protect each other, you’d always find each other, and you’d never leave the other behind. So why were you still standing there?
They would have contacted you by now if they were okay. That was the plan, and you never strayed away from the plan.
Without a second thought, you marched out of the bathroom and made hast to the armory, mapping out a plan in your mind as you did so.
……
The engine sputtered as you pulled the key from the ignition. You’d been driving for roughly an hour, following the route the others would have taken. You only pulled over when you saw the RV parked on the side of the road.
As you examined the scene around the vacant house-on-wheels, you were able to put Daryl’s teachings to use in identifying the tracks leading into the trees. The woods were eerily quiet as you followed the trail of disturbed undergrowth. Dusk was settling in, and the only sound to be identified were the rhythmic chirps of frogs and crickets.
Nightfall crept up on you quickly. Your breath had become visible in the moonlight, chills crawling all over you. Regardless, you pressed on. The night could throw anything your way, but you wouldn’t turn back. The idea that something was terribly wrong hadn’t eased. If anything, the feeling grew more dire, as if you were running out of time.
You had been consumed entirely by your thoughts at this point, worst case scenarios floating around in a sea of worry inside your mind. You were only brought back to the present when you caught a glimpse of shining lights just up ahead. Hurriedly, you crouched down into some shrubbery. The bright lights casted shadows through the leaves that danced over your face as you peered through the bushes to see what was going on.
It was hard to make out, but you could see a wall of people surrounding another RV. There was a voice, too, hidden behind the barricade of bodies. It was giving some kind of speech that you couldn’t quite pick up on. The people surrounding the scene were predatory in their demeanor, like a pack of hungry hyenas cornering their kill.
You watched for some time before you caught onto a second voice — one with more grit to it — and you recognized it immediately.
Rick was on the other side of these people, which meant the rest of your family was too. It meant Daryl would be there too.
As carefully as you could, you crawled closer, sticking low into to the shadows. You could almost make out what was being said when a strong pair of arms yolked you up by the waist. A gust of breath escaped you as your back impacted a solid chest. You flailed your arms and legs, hissing profanities in between your hunts and growls. Whoever it was struggled to contain you, but they were still just strong enough to hold you.
The people who previously had their backs to you parted, allowing entrance into their circle. The man who had your restrained dragged you into the middle. When you finally grew tired of struggling and had a chance to look around, you took it all in.
Your friends were all kneeling on the ground, shock and grief written all over their faces. People you’d never seen before surrounded you.
Your captor threw you down in to the dirt. You caught yourself with your hands. A pair of boots stepped in front of you. Your eyes followed them up to a face.
He was tall and menacing. A wide grin spear over his lips as he chuckled, swinging a bat over his shoulder.
“She was watching from the bushes, sir.” The man who found you reported.
“Huh.” He hummed, spinning on his heel to face Rick. “One of yours, I take it?”
Rick hesitated to nod. The man thought for a moment, as you continued to study the scene around you. When your eyes fell on Abraham — or, what used to be Abraham — a wave a nausea washed over you. You slapped your hand over your mouth to suppress a gag.
“Oh, shit.” The man chuckled. “Guess you missed that part. See, that’s payback for fucking with me.”
“You cocksucker.” You growled, scowling as you lunched up at the man. Arms wrapped around you again, shoving you back down into the dirt. He dragged you over to Rick and the others, kicking you into place.
That was all Daryl could bare. His chest tightened, a sharp feeling darting from his core down into he tips of his fingers. His face went numb with nerves. He had no time to think. Before you could even push yourself off the ground, Daryl sprung forward and landed a solid punch across Negan’s face.
Two men quickly dragged Daryl back into place, one of them holding a familiar crossbow to his head. “Let me do it, boss.” The man begged.
Negan recollected himself quickly, laughing at the audacity required to attack him under such circumstances. Had he not made himself clear?
“Nah. That’s not gonna work.” Negan shook his head. “I told you. No exceptions.”
In the blink of an eye his bat was raised. Time slowed down, nearly halted for those around you. You looked up, tears flowing softly down your cheeks. For a moment, you felt peace. The next moment, fear. Finally, pain. A searing, crushing, all-consuming kind of pain. A loud crunch echoed through the trees. Your ears rang loudly, vision blurry and red. You blinked rapidly, throwing to clear whatever was in your eyes.
Gasps and sobs followed. Your friends and family around you watched in horror as you struggled to sit back up. It didn’t seem like you really registered what happened. You were too disoriented from the first blow to feel the second one.
You gurgled as tried to speak, blood spurting from your lips. Daryl’s cries rattled his body, barely able to make a sound as his breath seemed to be knocked out every time the bat fell down on your skull.
The only thing you could see was a blur of lights and shadows, tainted red with your own blood. For everyone else, the view was much more gruesome. Bits of bone and brain were hanging from your frizz of hair, some of which had been snagged on Lucille’s barbed wire dressing and ripped out. Only two blows from the bat and your were fully incapacitated, reduced to a bloody blubbering lump on the ground with a dent in your skull.
Weak with horror, Daryl lost the strength to sit straight. He fell tot he ground, attempting to drag himself toward you. A heavy boot pressed into his back, holding him firmly down.
Even Negan seemed to falter at the sight of his own destruction. Killing women was a new low for him, even with his track record. Especially in such a barbaric fashion. A sniffed and frowned, gripping Lucille tightly. It was too late for second thoughts. Daryl had to be taught a lesson. He had to understand how things would be from now on. There would be no more bravery or heroism. There would only be Negan.
He raised the bat once more, glancing over to Daryl as he groveled and sobbed below Dwight’s boot. The pain in Daryl’s eyes struck a chord in Negan. It was an unmistakable kind of reaction. The kind you could only bring out of a man when you were taking away the person he loved. Negan knew that feeling all too well. His eyes fell back down to you, twitching and squeaking with pain and confusion. He decided the best thing he could do for you was to swing hard and end your misery.
The final blow was the loudest, the messiest, the one nobody could bare to watch. Blood and brain matter splattered across those close to you. Daryl, Rosita, Negan, Dwight. Everyone was silent, save for a few sobs and the only pairs of eyes that never left you were those of Daryl and Negan. The man who loved you, and the man that killed you.
……
On days like this, Daryl found his peace in the woods. His fondest memories were there.
It was the only place he could still be close to you. Near the small streams, he’d hear echoes of your laughter from years passed. He’d see the glow in your hair as the rays of sunlight filtered through the treetops, and he’d smell your sun baked scalp in the wind, just like when he’d hug you tight and press his nose into your hair.
You were everywhere around him, even if you were long gone. He’d visit this spot often. Some found this place to be haunted. Too many bad memories plagued the grounds. But, to Daryl, it was sacred. It was the last place he saw you, living and breathing.
Your body was gone from there, but your presence lingered. Your blood had soaked into the dirt long ago, mingling with the rain as it watered the earth to sprout new life. When he cremated you, he spread the ashes here. You’d be part of the earth now and forever, and he’d always have this place to visit when he missed you.
Hell, he always missed you. He never stopped thinking about you. The war was over years ago, and new threats had risen and fell. Still, you were all around him. He vowed to protect you always. He may have failed at that, but he’d never allow himself to stop honoring you. He was the man who loved you, and he’d be the man who remembered you even when no one else did.
He took a deep breath and looked down at the bouquet of flowers he’d picked at the Kingdom. A long time ago, when he first escaped the Sanctuary, he returned to this spot to decorate it. He’d lugged heavy stones and sturdy branches over and arranged them around the spot where you died. Every time he came back, he wove flowers into the crevices between the stones and twigs. He swept away fallen leaves and shooed away unwanted pests. He’d bring random trinkets and pieces of jewelry he thought you’d like and arrange them atop the stones. There was a blend of old tarnished items, dead flowers, and the new trinkets and floral arrangements he’d brought just now.
The most important thing, though, was the handwritten letter he’d always bring along. He’d wait until he had enough to tell you, then he’d write up a lengthy letter, just to sit and read it to you there. This time, he could only write of how much he missed you. How dreary life had become without you. How he missed your sarcasm, your giggle, your voice, your singing. He talked about Judith and RJ, and how he wished he could have had a child with you. He was always afraid of fatherhood, but somehow it seemed possible with you. If only you were there.
When he finished, he let the tears flow freely. He cried to you, cried for you. Eventually he’d clean himself up and place a kiss on the necklace draped over the biggest stone. It was your necklace, the one you had never taken off since he met you. It was the last tangible part of you he was able to touch.
“See ya later.” He whispered as he walked away.

DEATH TRAP
daryl dixon x fem reader
WARNINGS: injured daryl, mentions of scars, gun usage, mentions of fighting, death threats, season 1-2 era tbh, mentions of Andrea/Shane
she had been waiting for Daryl to come back from looking for Sophia, she had offered to go with him but she could notice he was distressed at the fact they hadn't found his brother and well that he hadn't had a clue on where the hell she was.
she sat back in one of the cheap lawn chairs that came from Dale's RV as she had been carving a piece of wood with her blade, maybe just until it ran out or maybe she was making a stake.
whatever it was it was out of the boredom and anxiousness of waiting for her boyfriend to come back from his journey, his journey that she knew was dangerous because the woods were filled with walkers and steep hills that could surely kill him if he fell.
she looked up at Andrea who had a straw hat shaped like a cowboys, a dirt stained white tank top and a pair of jeans that obviously needed a fresh wash, she crossed her legs as she cocked her head at the sight of something slipping from the woods.
"Walker!" she called watching as Rick, Shane and Glenn had hopped over the fence, she angled her rifle, "bet i can nail him from here" she spoke with her obvious ego flashing through but Rick had told her hold back that, he had told her to let them handle it.
because after all the noise would trigger more walkers and their camp wasn't very much fit for a one hundred percent guranteed protection for them even if it was littered with barbed wire and wooden fences.
y/n had hopped the fence herself walking towards the walker, she turned to hear the click of a gun the sound of the safety being clicked off by the blonde who sat on top of the RV behind her.
"He told you to stand down! follow the order" she scoffed as she flipped back around pulling out her blade and rushing toward where the three men stood, except they weren't killing the walker they had just been simply standing around it watching it.
it only took her a few more steps to realize that it wasn't a walker but instead it was her boyfriend who was covered in dirt and drenched in water while he had an arrow through his body.
"is that Daryl?" Glenn asked as he had a knife ready in his hand, Rick had pointed his gun at him aiming for dead center of his forehead.
"that's the third time you pointed that thing at my head" he scoffed as he licked his lips clean hearing the others let out a breather of relief once they realized he wasn't a walker.
"Jesus Daryl you scared us thought you were a walker"
she sighed as she tucked away her knife back into her holster before one of the others could get a word in they heard the loud echo of a gun shot rocket through the air around them.
and suddenly he was knocked on the ground, his body out as he flopped back into the grass, y/n let out a scream as she dropped to her knees to see if the bullet had actually hit him.
she swallowed harshly as she rubbed the side of his head feeling some blood emit out onto her fingers, "i was just kidding" he remarked as they helped pick them up from the grass.
y/n could feel some tears being harshly forced back inside her as she looked down at the wounds on his body, a few scrapes and bruises from his arms to his face, an arrow through his torso, and now an almost lethal gun shot wound to the side of his head.
she had watched the others running towards the fence while Glenn had ripped off the walker ears he wore around his neck, Andrea had a look of defeat on her face as she could still see her target walking.
and well her target that wasn't a walker but yet one of them.
"what the hell happened!" Carol yelled as she watched y/n flick her eyes up to the blonde who was now hopping down from the roof of the RV to try and fix her mistake.
"he alright?" was all she asked, not an apology or even a full sense of worry lingering from her, except those two god damn dull words.
"don't worry about it Andrea" y/n scoffed as she and Rick had taken control of carrying his body up to the house, Hershel had followed behind them while he looked at Daryl's blood stained tank top.
Y/n was angry, she was scared and she was so god damn furious, so much that she could feel a wave of anger wanting to erupt like a tsunami on the women who almost killed him.
Daryl was placed down in the bed and stripped of his shirt, Hershel had gotten his table full of tools and Rick had forcefully pulled y/n out of the room so she wouldn't have to watch an arrow being removed from his body, she bit at her nails nervously.
Rick had noticed her distress and hadn't left her side even if it meant him sitting there for hours while Hershel fixed and cleaned up the wound to make sure it hadn't gotten infected.
and the subtle three hours had felt like eternity to her, because she couldn't stop pacing and wanting to get a glance through the door, even some of the others had come to comfort her all except the women half responsible for almost killing him.
and once the bedroom door was opened she could see Hershel pulling off a latex glove and patting y/n on the shoulder, without even such a hesitation she was sitting on the edge of the bed looking at him, looking at his bandages and scrapes and bruises.
"what happened?" she asked watching him lick over his lips before actually responding the full story of how he ended up like this.
"well that damn horse got scared and threw me off a cliff and i landed on an arrow, as for the walker ears i wanted a trophy" he spoke feeling as she got closer so she could rub the side of his cheek.
she frowned softly at the wound as she looked over at it, "don't be sad it was just a simple scratch and tumble" he spoke taking her hand in his and trying to soothe her.
"just a scratch? she almost killed you and well for the arrow you could've died if it hit one of your organs Daryl" she watched him smile a little almost like he was amused by it.
"i'm fine just a little sleepy that's all, promise you won't worry while i catch up on some sleep please?" he asked rubbing over the top of her hand while he could feel her gently pull away.
she nodded at him standing up from the bed and peppering a kiss on his forehead, she turned out the lamp and softly shut the door behind her, and with that she checked to see if her gun was loaded.
and it was, she had a full round left over, a full round that meant there was enough to maybe take over on walker duty because the obvious woman in control couldn't do her job right.
she thanked Hershel who sat in a reclining chair reading an old book, he smiled and replied with a simple nod at her gesture of thanks, he watched her slip out of the door her gun tucked away from his view.
she could see the others still around as the sun was just now barely setting, it was still quite visible in the sky making the day still alive as they now sat around to enjoy one another's presence and maybe just to wait on answers on how Daryl was doing.
"he's fine, he's just sleeping" she spoke to the group as she patted Glenn on the shoulder and moved along to where Andrea sat, now she was lower on the ground and not on top of the RV.
she ripped the rifle from her hands as she tossed it to where the others were sitting, Andrea had her hand on her knife to which y/n had pulled out her pistol placing it in between her eyes.
"c'mon try it" she hissed watching as her hands went away from her knife and into the air to show she wasn't going to try anything.
"woah! what the hell are you doing?!" Shane announced as he adjusted the police cap on his head watching as y/n's gaze focused on the curly blonde in front of her.
"what the hell am i doing? what the hell was she doing? Rick gave you an order and you ignored it, you could've killed Daryl, and you didn't even say anything close to an apology"
she could see Shane reach for her belt but she had placed the gun in his direction watching him back down before she focused back on Andrea who's pupils were dilated in fear.
"he looked like a walker not my fault" she remarked back at y/n watching her eyebrows raise as the tip of the gun was moved to now the dead center of her forehead making the others look around in a quite nervous terror at one another.
"you ever and i mean ever pull any of this bullshit on me or Daryl or even another one of us and so help me i'll place a bullet in you and i promise you i won't miss my target like you"
y/n remarked placing her gun back in the leather holster she could see the others staring at her like she was a monster like she was crazy but she hadn't felt anything for her, she hadn't felt anything but stupidity for trusting her.
Shane had grabbed her arm to pull her away, "are you crazy?" he hissed bitterly in a slight whisper, her eyes flicked up at him as she looked away with a roll of them.
"don't touch me or i'll put a bullet in you" she huffed as she snatched her arm away from his grasp and taking a few steps back so she could manage her way away from him.
"whatever freak show you have with him doesn't mean you can come and start waving a god damn gun in our face you hear me!" Shane shouted stepping even closer while she now was starting to step away even Rick had noticed him growing closer and closer.
"Shane back the hell away it's not your decision, let it be she did what she did even if it was wrong or right it was it is now back away"
she felt good that rick was standing up for her, but also she could sense she had been a fool to start waving a gun in someones face.
but she reminded herself that someone she loved could have been gone within a few split seconds because of her foolishness, because she didn't know how to properly follow an order she was given.
Shane had backed away poking his tongue in his bottom lip as he softly huffed at the idea of her placing a gun in her face, y/n gulped as she looked around at the others.
"i had my reasons, what if she killed him? you know how devastated we would be if he died! how devastated i would be? i'm not going to let her risk our lives! Rick you gave her an order and she still didn't stand down when you told her to!"
she watched as Glenn looked down at his shoes sinking into the dirt because he knew she was right, Dale seemed to look back and forth at both girls and Rick rubbed over the stubble of his beard while the others still remained keeping their eyes on her.
"hand over the gun" Rick spoke watching as y/n scoffed and raised her eyebrows at his demand, "no!" she uttered in disbelief at him.
"give me the gun, we don't kill the living y/n!" he yelled while he gestured his hand out for the pistol, "you get it back when you're out scavenging or hunting that's it you want safety i'm giving it to you right now so take the deal and move on"
he made a deal with her to which she un-holstered her gun and clicked on the safety while pressing it harshly into the bare cracked palm of his hand.
-
she watched Carol slip out of the bedroom as she set a plate of dinner in front of both of them and left with just a soft smile.
y/n had always liked Carol, she liked the way she cared for Daryl and the way she was like a mother to her, the way she was so kind and so sweet and well the way she was so homely even in the end of the world where flesh eating monsters roamed, even when her husband died and her own daughter had gone missing.
Daryl quickly stuffed his face with the food because truly he had barely been eating, unless you count raw squirrel intestines and to which they weren't very filling for him.
not with how long he had been walking through the woods, and fighting off walkers, which is why by the time y/n had actually taken her first bite he was done with half of the plate.
he could notice something was off, he could notice she was playing with her food while she stared down and kept avoiding eye contact each time he tried to pry her eyes to look at his.
"what happened while i was out?" he asked watching as she took a bite of a green bean on her plate swallowing it down harshly and poking her fork around the plate with a sad silence.
"y/n what happened while i was sleeping?" he asked this time rubbing her thigh while his thumb skimmed against the clad fabric of the dirty blue jeans she had been wearing for days.
"got my damn gun taken by Rick" she spoke flicking her eyes to look up at the man who had his brows furrowed while he was still stuffing his face with some of the food brought in by Carol.
"i threatened Andrea and Shane so he said i can only have it during scavenging and hunting, besides Andrea could've killed someone, and what if she did, we don't kill her for it?"
y/n spoke pushing the plate of food away as she looked at his plate now empty without even such as a speck left on the white porcelain.
"you're angry i get it, remember when i tried to kill that one dude back in the city but Rick told me no, because he took Glenn and i was so angry, i don't blame you y/n" he spoke with a soft smile.
"she deserves to pay for the mistake maybe not death but when i walked out there she still had that damn rifle in her hands, no one even thought to take it from her, she didn't even think to come and apologize for almost killing you Daryl."
she almost wanted to cry but he put the plates on the night stand and pulled her into his arms, he shushed her softly as one of his hands stroked over the top of her hair.
"in the end it'll happen, maybe not now but someday she'll learn from the mistake just like we do, just like i've learned not to ride horses" he joked hearing a soft sniffle and giggle come from her.
he peppered a kiss on the back of her neck.
"and i've learned to never give her a rifle"
