Carlisle chuckled as you wrapped your arms around his waist. "Missed me eh?" "Of course." You leaned into his chest lovingly. "What's are you making, honey?" "Just some cookies." He smiled warmly. "I'm sure they will taste lovely would you like to watch some game of thrones while we wait?" "Yes of course."

Esme Cullen:

"What are you making, dear?" "Some pie." "That sounds delicious." You smiled at her warmly. Esme was about to walk away when you say, "Please stay?" She smiled. "Of course." She wrapped her arms around your waist as she watched you cooked. You two watched game of thrones as you were working on pie. it turned out to be a lovely evening watching your favorite show, baking, and spending time with Esme it was perfect.

Jasper Hale:

You were watching your favorite episode of Game of Thrones...again. But you couldn't help it, it was your comfort show. You pulled out your cupcakes from the oven as you peaked at the episode from afar. You moved the cupcakes to the counter and iced them. You smiled to yourself as you took a bite of one of the fresh cupcakes. They were so good. You snuggled down on the couch and stuffed your face with some sweets. A figure slid their arms around your waist, you looked over at the culprit. Jasper. "Hi, Darlin'," He said with a cheeky smile. "Hi," You muffled out as you stuffed your face with delicious cupcakes. "Your on a sweet kick, ain't ya?" He remarked and you nodded. He snuggled closer to you. "I'm sure they're delicious!" You beam and rest your head on his.

Alice Cullen:

Alice jumped excitedly as she waited for the strawberry cake to be done. "It's really, going to be wonderful!" She said, enthusiastically. You smiled warmly at her. "Really?" You asked. "Yes." She said, "Matter of fact, it'll be wonderful." You both beamed. Alice then said, "I'll put on your favorite episode on, okay?" "of game of thrones?" She nodded as you pulled the cake out. You let it cool and then decorated it. You moved to the living room and plopped down next to Alice with a piece of cake in hand. "See told you I'd be wonderful!" You laughed as the two of you watched your all-time-favorite episode.

Emmett Cullen:

The cookies you had made were finally done. It took way longer than you had hoped. Chocolate chip cookies were supposed to be easy! Not! You waited impatiently for the cookies to be done. As you waited you heard Emmett's booming laughter. You walked to the living room met by Emmett watching your favorite show without you. Game of Thrones. "How dare you!" "Huh?" Emmett turned round and looked at you. You had your hands on your hips as you said, "your watching my favorite show without me!" You pouted. He laughed, "Sorry, babe." He then continued, "What can I do to make it up to you?" You pretended to think about it as you said, "Hmm maybe you can let me watch it with you and cuddle with me. And then maybe your forgiven." "Maybe!" he pretended to be hurt." "You will be forgiven." "Good." He smiled. You walked into the kitchen and grabbed your cookies as you cuddled with him.

Rosalie Hale:

Rosalie helped out bake some macaroons and to say the least they were wonderful. They were amazing! You plopped a pink one in your mouth as the two of you watched another episode pf game of thrones yet again. You smiled to yourself as you clung to her side. She looked over at you and smiled. sweetly and with a loving expression on her face.

Edward Cullen:

Edward laughed as he watched you bake. He couldn't help it he said he thought you were just too cute. You couldn't help but giggle. You had finally finished baking some sugar cookies and you thought they were going to be the best. He was on the counter but then jumped off when you finished. You placed the cookies on a plate and moved to the living room. You turned on the first episode of Game of Thrones. You were rewatching it again, it was your favorite after all. You couldn't help yourself. Edward laughed when he realized what the two of you were going to watch. "Again?" He asked. "Of course." You stated, with a giggle as you leaned on his shoulder, with a content expression on both of your faces.

Bella Swan:

"Watching more game of thrones, again?" "Well of course." Bella was about to walk away when you grabbed her wrist. "Don't go." "Alright come here." She moved to your side and hugged your waist. You giggled. Bella sniffed the air, "what are you making?" "Brownies." "Ooh yum my favorite." She snuggled closer to you. You smiled as you two watched your favorite episode of game of thrones.

Evelyn woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon. She had slept in Jasper's room, asking him to stay until she fell asleep, but then she could join the rest of the vampires in the living room so he wouldn't be bothered by her sleeping. However, Jasper stayed with her the whole night, his fingers gently tracing the contours of her face, recording every detail in his mind.

The girl jumped out of bed, going downstairs and seeing the whole family in the living room, Emmett and Lucas playing a video game while Rosalie and Alice read a fashion magazine. Carlisle must have gone to work already.

"Morning! Where's Jasper and Esme?"

"They're in the kitchen making you breakfast." Lucas informed, his tongue hanging out in concentration as he tried to outwit the other vampire.

Evelyn nodded and then went to the kitchen. There Jasper had his eyes fixed on the frying pan while he stirred the eggs, Esme was giving him advice over his shoulder. "You're cooking breakfast? For me?"

"Of course, Lyn. At least I'm trying." Jasper appreciated the girl's form as soon as he woke up. She was beautiful at any time of the day, but here everything seemed so normal. As if they had a normal relationship. "Did you sleep well?"

Evelyn yawned. "Yes, thank you. What did you do while I was sleeping?"

"Alice and Lucas went hunting. And Esme took the opportunity to teach me a few things about the art of cooking." Jasper informed, Esme had a big smile when she saw her son kiss Eve's forehead. "I want to know how to cook for you."

"Well, I'm sure I'll like everything you cook for me."

"Don't be late for class." Esme warned, before leaving the two alone in the kitchen. Jasper presented the dish to Evelyn, a proud smile on his face as she complimented the food.

"Now you'll have to cook for me every day." Evelyn teased, finishing her meal and putting her plate in the dishwasher.

"With pleasure."

A week later, Edward returned. The reactions were mixed, everyone was happy to have the vampire back, because that was the only way the family would be complete. However, they were also worried about the future. Especially Rosalie, who feared the consequences that Edward's obsession with the human could bring.

Evelyn stayed away from the discussion since it was a family problem. But she felt sorry for Edward, so many years living alone must be challenging.

Of course, Bella noticed Edward's return right away and the two exchanged intense looks all day. When leaving school, Jasper had an open umbrella protecting him and Evelyn while they followed the rest of the vampires to their cars. In the distance, Evelyn saw Bella looking at them.

"I'm just going to talk to Bella. I haven't done it in a long time, I don't want her to think I'm ignoring her because of Edward." the blonde warned.

"Take your umbrella," Jasper said, not wanting her to get caught in the rain and risk catching a cold.

"It's not raining that much. I'll be fine."

"How stubborn." Jasper groaned much to the amusement of the others who watched the demigod hurry to Bella's car.

"Hey, Bella. How are you enjoying Forks?"

"Hi, Evelyn." Bella smiled, a little embarrassed at having been caught staring at them. "It's fine. Not sure about the ice."

"You'll get used to it in no time, trust me." Evelyn reassured. "We haven't spoken in a while, you and Charlie have to go to the dinner sometime. I've already memorized your requests to make it quicker."

"Thanks." the brunette chuckled. Her father talked a lot about Evelyn and how Bella should try to be her friend, as she would be a good influence.

However, before Evelyn could continue the conversation, Bella's eyes widened and she took an instinctive step back, running into her car.

Evelyn, who had her back to the situation, realized a little too late that a car was coming towards them, out of control due to the ice. With her demigod instincts, she was going to push herself and the other girl away, in order to avoid being hit, but before she could do so, she felt a force come against them both.

As Bella fell to the ground, Edward's arms cushioning her fall, Evelyn hit her head on the pavement, immediately feeling a pain spread through her head. She looked around, her vision a little blurry, and saw the vampire's hand against Tyler's car, making it dent with an inhuman force. Bella looked at him in shock, as did Evelyn, although they had different motives.

When he smelled blood, Edward quickly turned to Evelyn, examining her injuries. He immediately felt a great deal of guilt for not having tried to break the demigod's fall, but he knew that she was less likely to be hurt than Bella, given her skills as a demigod.

In a flash, he stood up and left, leaving the students who had watched the assailant to run and surround the two girls. Standing up with some difficulty, Evelyn left the circle they had formed to try to find Jasper.

"Don't worry, Eve, we're calling an ambulance!" Jessica's voice could be heard from afar.

Ignoring her, Evelyn looked towards the parking lot. On the other side, still in the same place, she saw Jasper being held by Emmett and Lucas while Rosalie and Alice looked at her with concern and anger in their eyes because of what Edward had done. Jasper was breathing heavily, even though he didn't need to, trying to free himself from his brothers' grip. Why had they stopped him from running to her and saving her? He needed to get to Evelyn.

"Jasper, stop! Look, there's Eve, she's okay. Relax." Emmett tried to bring Jasper back to reality.

Finally, his amber eyes and Eve's blue ones met. Jasper stood completely still, his eyes scanning her entire body for injuries, finally stopping at the small cut on Evelyn's forehead. He clenched his jaw in anger. Before he tried to go to her again, she assured him, "I'm okay. I'm okay."

With one last look, the Cullens got into the car, probably heading to the hospital to talk to Carlisle. Evelyn sighed, knowing the trouble this would bring.

Evelyn just wanted to sleep. She had been taken by ambulance with Bella to the hospital, where Carlisle examined them. Neither of the girls had any serious injuries, just minor bruises from the fall and of course Evelyn's cut that only needed to be disinfected.

While Rosalie, who hugged her fiercely when she saw her, assuring her that she was fine, stayed talking to Carlisle and Edward with Bella, Evelyn left the hospital where Jasper was waiting for her.

When he saw the blonde, the vampire closed his eyes in relief, feeling that he could finally relax a little. Although all his family had already said that she was fine, Jasper had to confirm it with his own eyes. He met her halfway, bringing her into his arms, and letting her rest her head on his chest.

"You're okay." He kissed her hair, inhaling her scent.

"It was my fault. I let my guard down, Jasper! I should have heard the car arrive sooner, and then I could have pushed Bella and you wouldn't have had to put yourselves in danger." Evelyn explained, visibly upset, while Jasper tried to calm her down with his gift. "I'm sorry."

He grabbed her chin gently and forced her to look into his intense eyes. Instead of saying anything, he brought their faces closer until their lips brushed against each other. "May I?"

Evelyn didn't answer, she simply put her arms around Jasper's neck and connected their lips. It was an explosion of emotions, neither of them had ever felt anything like it. Evelyn's lips were soft, and Jasper's were cold, but that only made the girl want more. Jasper's hands were on Evelyn's waist, squeezing her waist gently. They never wanted to be apart, but the vampire knew the demigod had to breathe. So he pulled away a little, bringing their foreheads together.

"That was…" he murmured.

"Yeah." she agreed, biting her lower lip. She brought him in for another kiss.

The two of them had gone to Cullen's house, since the vampire insisted that Evelyn had to sleep. Now, she was in Jasper's room, in the bed he had bought specifically for her, and covered in huge blankets that Jasper insisted on putting on her. It was funny how her body was used to warm temperatures, but she craved the vampire's cold touch every moment of the day.

"How are Bella and Edward?"

"They're at the bottom of my list of worries," Jasper stated, still angry with his brother. He paced the room, eventually kneeling in front of Evelyn after placing a glass of water on the bedside table.

"Jasper, I'm fine. I promise. I've had much worse, this is just a small cut." Eve assured the worried man. "And I'm still sorry, I could have done more."

"That doesn't make me feel better, darling. And stop apologizing, I won't hear more of that. It was not your fault." He sighed, stroking Evelyn's wavy hair and lulling her to sleep. "You'll never leave my side again."

"So dramatic." Evelyn whispered, unable to fight the wave of sleepiness that was invading her system. With one last small smile, the demigod let herself fall into a deep sleep.

After spending a few more moments with Evelyn, who was looking extremely cute sleeping with a small pout on her lips, Jasper went to the living room where the rest of the family was. In truth, he wanted to stay by Evelyn's side, the events of the day had brought out his most protective side.

The blond had been so scared when he realized that a car was heading towards her and that her back was turned. He immediately tried to run to her, but Edward was faster and hit him on the shoulder as he passed him, which made Jasper lose his balance. This allowed Emmett and Lucas to grab him so they wouldn't have to find excuses for both him and Edward.

Jasper didn't even remember their grip, he could only focus on the commotion of people, and how he couldn't find Evelyn in the middle of the confusion.

When he saw her, he didn't think he had ever felt so relieved. But that cut on her forehead tormented his mind. She shouldn't have any wounds on her perfect skin.

Now in the living room, everyone was sitting on the couch, except for Rosalie who was pacing back and forth. They were all waiting for Edward and Carlisle to come back from the hospital.

As soon as the door to the house opened, in a flash Jasper was in front of Edward and threw him out of the house again with extreme force. Edward, unprepared, fell to the floor but quickly got to his feet ready to defend himself from Jasper who was even more frightening as he was protecting his mate.

Without giving Edward a chance to explain himself, Jasper punched him hard enough that the skin on his cheek shattered like porcelain. Jasper, in the distance, could hear Esme's gasp but he couldn't stop.

"Jasper, I'm sorry." Edward said sincerely, his arms outstretched in front of him as he took a step back. "I wasn't thinking straight, but since Eve is a demigod, she had a better chance of not getting hurt. Bella is just a human."

"Do I look like I care?!" Jasper asked with irony, his voice threatening and authoritative. "My mate could still die like a human. She could still die from head trauma. Just because she's tougher than a mere human doesn't mean you can just stop me from helping Lyn."

"I didn't mean to," the other vampire tried to defend himself. "I was just focused on getting there, I didn't realize you had the same idea."

"Get your priorities straight, Edward. I hope there won't be a next time like this. I won't be as forgiving." Jasper threatened, and with one last look that would make the bravest of people cry uncontrollably, Jasper walked back into the house and to Evelyn's side.

"What he said, honestly." Rosalie had to add, crossing her arms and glaring angrily at Edward who was now fine again, without any trace of Jasper's punch. The rest of the family sighed, this was going to go badly.

Through sleep and out they’re everything you are and more, pumping through your heart like the tresses of their stream. The ice cold water is reminiscent of them over your toes, phantom to the run of their fingers through your hair and the brush of their lips over your skin.

The gleam of the crescented moon smooths over the blanket of night in ways that calls them to the forefront of your mind. Rosalie, a dark beauty fogged with horrors and wonders alike, and Emmett, a beacon for all the good left to be had.

You never did have a place between them. Not when they were destined the way they were, written between the laws of the universe.

Your gaze darts to the opposing side of the creek where a bustle of noise sounds over the trickle of water. There’s nothing to see but the ragid bark of the willows shadowed by night and you curse yourself for thinking of them first of all.

You’ll never be free from them with your weeping heart.

You're lost to the skies again when it resounds once more, a large creak and then crack as the largest branch of the tree across the stream thuds to the ground.

The silence that follows it stills the air; broken by a sound too familiar to the ache in your chest.

“Emmett.” She’s angrier than you’ve ever heard her. Her voice is nothing like you remember, your mind never could do her justice. “I told you not to be on the one I was on.”

“Babe, I’m sorry.” His almost hurts more, guilt-riddled like that night. You don’t think they realise you can see them. You’re torn between turning tail and falling apart where you sit.

They choose for you.

Rosalie’s by your side in a breath, porcelain hands ever so close to touching your skin. The tingle sparking through you dies with the drop of her hands to her sides.

Emmett’s no later, inhaling a breath you know he doesn’t need. His shoulders lower, like a weight looses in him. He used to love your scent.

You wonder if he’s missed it before you remember who left who.

You’re sure you’ll think more on it when you wake.

a/n — a tiny bit of made up backstory as I wrote is: new student at forks, emmett is obviously now rose's brother, uh, rose is bi, so is "I" (we ain't got a name yet, also human), it's the last day before spring break!! had so much fun with this prompt bc who doesn't love exploring rose's softer side??

Forks high school was a strange place after spring finals. the anticipation, the excitement that in just a few hours, we'd be free. for a week, but still. Some sort of freedom counted.

Rain padded at the windows, not a downpour, not a drizzle. Just...rain. I vaguely heard my name being called. I blinked back into the conversation.

"What do you think about going to Canada?" the beautiful blonde asked me, slight annoyance in her golden eyes.

"Canada?" I parroted back, "uh, not ever a place I thought about visiting."

"Fine," she didn't huff—vampires didn't do that. "If you could go anywhere for spring break, where is it?"

I dragged my pencil across my notebook, drawing idle spirals while actually considering the question. The easy answer would've been somewhere tropical, somewhere that didn't feel like living inside a wet paper bag 24/7. But there was something in the way Rosalie watched me, like every answer was a test I didn't know I was taking.

"Prague," I said finally, the word falling into the space between us like a dare. "In winter."

That caught her attention. The mask of casual disdain she wore like designer armor cracked just slightly, one perfect eyebrow arching up. "Prague?"

"Yeah." I wet my lips, hyperaware of how her eyes tracked the movement. "All those ancient buildings drowning in snow, that astronomical clock that's older than—" I cut myself off, but we both knew what I'd almost said. Older than you. "Plus, fewer tourists in winter. You could actually breathe there, you know?"

"You'd freeze," she said flatly.

"That's what coats are for," I shot back, then added without engaging my brain-to-mouth filter, "Though I guess you wouldn't need one."

The temperature between us plummeted faster than my GPA freshman year. Rosalie went still—not human-still, but that otherworldly marble stillness that sometimes made my heart forget how to beat properly. We didn't talk about what she was. Ever. That was the unspoken rule of whatever this was—these study sessions that danced on the knife's edge between almost-friendly and something else entirely.

"Sorry," I muttered, suddenly fascinated by my notebook spirals. "I shouldn't have—"

"Meet me after school," she cut me off, voice winter-sharp. "Don't make me wait."

The rest of the day crawled by like a snail with a vendetta against time itself. When the final bell rang, I found her waiting by her car—that gorgeous red convertible that probably cost more than my entire existence.

She drove in silence, but I noticed we weren't heading toward town. Instead, we wound up into the mountains, leaving Forks behind like a bad memory. Soon we were above the clouds, and weak sunlight filtered through the trees. She pulled off onto a dirt road I would have missed even if someone had put up a neon sign.

We stopped at what looked like the edge of the world. The convertible's engine ticked as it cooled, the only sound besides my treacherous heartbeat.

"You think you know me," Rosalie said finally, her voice barely a whisper. "You sit there in class, making your little comments about the cold, about time, like you understand any of it."

"Rose—"

"No." She turned to me then, and her eyes were ancient. "You look at me and see what everyone sees. The ice queen. The heartless one. The one too proud to even pretend to be normal."

"That's not—"

"But you don't see me turning you away." The words seemed to surprise her as much as they did me. "You don't see me telling you to stay away, even though I should. Even though it would be safer." Her fingers curled around the steering wheel. "Easier."

My heart was doing something complicated in my chest. "Why don't you?"

She laughed, soft and bitter as winter wind. "Because you look at Prague in winter and see beauty. Not death. Not cold." Her hand found mine, ice-cold but somehow burning. "Because you see me."

"Ah," I couldn't help the smile that tugged at my lips, "so you aren't heartless after all."

"Careful," she warned, but there was something like a real smile playing at the corners of her mouth. "That sounds dangerously close to an accusation."

"What are you going to do about it?"

"Prague," she said, starting the car again but keeping her hand on mine. "Winter break. I have some loose ends to tie up in Alaska first, but after..." That dangerous smile was back, the one that made me forget how to breathe. "If you're still interested."

"Yeah," I managed, trying to sound casual while my pulse did its best hummingbird impression. "I'm free."

Her smile widened just slightly, and I realized I was completely, utterly doomed. And somehow, I couldn't bring myself to mind.

Backstory: Alexis was born to Belinda, a vampire and Nick, another vampire on the 10th of August before her brother, Jaybird and along with their younger sister Bea. Belinda was a huge role model in her life where her dad was hardly around. Their mom warned them about the werewolves. They hanged out with the Cullens whenever both of their parents were busy. When she was 8, she met Jacob and played with him but was cut short when her mom took her away from him, telling him his family was part of the werewolves. So, she never hanged with him again.  Soon enough, when a fight between the Volturi and their family broke out, the dad ran away in cowardly fear and her mother and brother died. Alex and Bea cried next to their mother and brother that night and she grew distance between her sister.

A few years later, Bea and a vampire named Jack  Austin, soon having a child with him. Alex noticed something off with Jack and tried to tell Bea but Bea wouldn't  listen. Alex gave up and looked after Hailey whenever her sister or brother-in-law were busy and grew attached to her. She soon met Jacob again when she told him off for going onto vampire territory. Bea and Alex continued going to school, hence Carlisle helping them with school fees cause he's ✨rich✨. After getting into an argument  with Bea one time, Bea got ran over   by a car and passed away and Jack left, leaving Alex with Hailey. She soon started hanging out with Jacob,  giving up with everything and they both slowly started to develop  feelings for each other. Backstory: Annika Daisy Austin was born on the 8th of May 2005 to Bea and Jack Austin. She loved her parents and aunt dearly and they loved her back. Whenever her parents weren't around, she hanged out with her aunt, Alex. But everything took a turn for the worse when her parents died. Alex was forced to look after Annika. But everything sorta worked out for the both of them.

A few years later, she meets Seth when they are training to fight Victoria's vampire crew in Eclipse. They became friends and as time passed, she developed a small crush on him. She teased him playfully sometimes but other times, she was good friends with him. They met again when Edward and Bella got married and hung out secretly when no one was looking. They soon became a couple while Edward and Bella were on their honeymoon. And time will tell what happens next :D
