so I'm sure you've all noticed but I have been a little quiet on here lately and that's because of a number of factors (work, health, sex repulsion) - but it also turns out that writing on yydj has not been fun for a while and I had to start writing on another blog to realise it LMAO. it turns I have crazy imposter syndrome and perfectionism issues when it comes to fanfiction which sounds so stupid because it is just a hobby aslfjslsgjslfjalsdj but I am the kind of person who would straight up rather let 15k words die in my drafts and allow months of work go to waste rather than post something I personally consider slightly subpar writing. however, this is not a healthy way to go about this pastime, nor is it sustainable if I am expected to deliver writing that people paid for. so, I will try my best to put out the pieces that I have committed to, and hopefully to start writing for anime/video games again. the tradeoff though is that the quality of writing is probably not going to be as good as what you may expect of me. I am extremely sorry if this disappoints anyone (certainly it disappoints me 💀), but I think it is the only path to keeping this blog alive 🥲

Ed Mell, a Phoenix artist whose renowned and innovative Southwestern landscapes earned him worldwide acclaim, died February 21st. He was 81.

“Ed Mell was a legend,” painter Mark Maggiori wrote in a social-media post on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024 “He passed away last night leaving us one of the most amazing body of work in art history. Ed Mell carved the path for all of us. Broke the rules, opened the doors to the possibles, dropped modernism on western art and took it to the next level.”

"Long may he reign" finally finished this bastard. Wanted to try giving a shot at painting Molly. I love his design so much. Rip. I had fun experimenting with the background, though it was more a "magic do as you will" moment as opposed to meticulous nitpickery. chasing the right font was also tricky but Im quite content with my selection.

seeing the photos of the boys arriving to liam's funeral (AT WORK IF I MAY ADD) tore me to pieces. you can just see and feel how upset they all are.. like my heart literally dropped the first time i saw the pictures. god and louis... his face screamed 'sorrow.' i don't want to comment on their looks since it was such an unfortunate event but he looks so fucking tired from all the heartbreak he's had to endure. he deserves an endless amount of endless love and happiness (as do the rest of them.)

and to be completely fucking honest, i never even wanted to see these photos of the boys in the first place. i remember telling myself that i just didn't want to see them all together for this funeral. i didn't want to invade and pry on something so personal and private. though, the internet/people are so balls deep with being psychotic and insensitive that there was actually no way of avoiding it. it was plastered all over every social media platform and yeah i'm not even surprised people showed up on the sidelines during this. which is so fucking inconsiderate. what was the actual point of that!!!! i just.... i don't even know what to say. it feels like i'm grieving all over again. being an empath, seeing everyone talking about this makes me feel like i have the weight of the world on my shoulders.

i am praying to the fucking gods and universe that we do not need to experience this again any time soon.

the only thing i can hope for is that the four of them, along with liam's close friends and family, know how much love and support is being sent their way during this time.

i wish i could hug every single one of them.

My dog passed away this morning and I still can't handle the fact that she's gone. but at least she's no longer in pain and went away next to people who love her She was the best thing in my life and I'm glad that we gave her a loving home
