i mean this with my entire chest when i say that the Harleen flashbacks in Suicide Squad 2016 did a better job setting up and selling the progression of the Harleen-Harley/Joker relationship than this movie (Joker 2) has done within 35 minutes.

it's actually pathetic how this is written so far lol there's no build up, no tension, no real connection and friendship foundation, they've kissed like 3 times already why are they into each other? cause they're both "crazy" and she didn't feel so alone watching him murder someone on live TV like huh??? y'all both had shit parents, okay, have you had another conversation beyond that?? their interactions are so small outside of that one in the hallway and then they're kissing after she set fire to the building cause she wanted out of movie night.
