When does it get quiet? Time was supposed to extinguish the desire But the embers won't snuff out Haunted by your smiles, the mask keeps getting heavier One step forward, two steps back.

harbinger has gears. def something qrow picked up from ozpin, so if he already had harbinger before attending beacon, it would have had to look different.
thinking about younger qrow, hearing stories about the grimm reaper and wanting a weapon similar to hers. maybe he had a sword similar to omen at first ( hence the hidden red blade that is only seen in harbinger's scythe form, cut into parts to account for the curved blade ), but after scavenging enough parts, he starts to build up from it. with lots of trial and error, he finally succeeds in creating something... workable, though the mechanism he has in place still jams more often than not.
just... the thought of harbinger that looks more like scrap put together that still works but isn't quite what he expected it to be, just because qrow wanted a scythe and that's not something you just find laying around, so he did himself with what little he had.
and then he gets to beacon and can upgrade harbinger to his heart content, taking inspiration from around him; harbinger finally becoming how he always imagined it to be.

qrow's fight with tyrian is genuinely one of the FUNNIEST things ever, like this alcoholic man is so wild, he has zero chill.
like tyrian disarms qrow and he very much does not have another weapon on him, and we've already seen how terrifyingly strong tyrian is. so you'd expect qrow to be in deep shit and think 'wow i wonder what qrow's going to do now to get out of this??'
and he just:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS MAN IMMEDIATELY JUST STARTED SWINGING WITHOUT ANY THOUGHT. and i love how tyrian was genuinely confused like he sincerely did not know how to react to what qrow was doing
Tumblr media
like this is the face of a man who is COMPLETELY unable to comprehend just what the fuck qrow is doing.
and the way immediately after this he just calmly walks over to retrieve his weapon like nothing happened.
Tumblr media
this man really had zero fucks to give and we were here for it.

Robyn would definitely be the one to tell Ruby that what happened in Atlas wasn't her fault.
You know in hindsight, I think I now know the REAL reason the story kept Ruby from having any kind of extended contact with Robyn.
Because clearly if they did, Robyn would have given Ruby the pep-talk/therapy session that she ACTUALLY NEEDS.

Just thinking about how Qrow and Winter's introductions in the show and how they left vol 8 like.
Vol3 Qrow baited Winter over and over until she was mad enough to use a "finisher" that we didn't end up seeing (Qrow going to use his scythe that we didn't end up seeing until the end of the volume) because Ironwood ordered her stop, probably sparing Qrow's aura (if not serious injury lmao get fucked) AND proving she's not ready for the (fall) maiden powers
Go to five years later when vol 8 Qrow is the one mad enough to kill ironwood but was stopped on his way by Winter (And robyn but Winter physically redirected him to stop the bomb) Only for Winter to turn around and use her finisher on Ironwood thus proving she IS READY FOR THE MAIDEN POWERS
SOMETHING SOMETHING PARALLELS QROW SAVED HER FROM BEING A MAIDEN TOO SOON AND THUS UNDER IRONWOOD'S CONTROL

Weiss finding older Jaune hot fits perfectly with all my qrowin head cannons. The Schnee Sisters both like fucked up, worn down, bearded old men. It’s the daddy issues. Winter will ask Weiss when she started finding Jaune attractive, and Weiss will take out a picture of old Jaune, and Winter nods her head saying, “You made a good choice. I approve of this.” Jaune will offhandedly tell Qrow that Weiss called him “mature” while he was old, and Qrow will chuckle saying, “Yeah that checks out.”

Couldn’t get it off my mind-
Brain went, "hey current guy you're obsessed over is a lot like the previous guy you used to be obsessed over a few years back" and I haven't stopped thinking about it since.
Going insane over them right now.
Anyways,, have some wip sketches of Crosshair as Qrow Branwen from RWBY:
Tumblr media
Look at those cunty ass poses. I love them.
And also some of Tay as Clover Ebi:
Tumblr media
Mayday is also a pretty fitting person for Clover, but since I ship FairGame, I decided to make Tay into Clover instead. But the parallels are definitely there for Clover to be Mayday. *cough* being fucking dead *cough*
And a few wip sketches of Sharpshooters as FairGame:
Tumblr media
I think I'm going to redraw all their scenes just because they make me crazy.
I had plans to draw Fall themed stuff and now my brain is like "Draw RWBY AU Stuff or explode" so,, yeah. Also it's like high of 90s here so it doesn't even feel like Fall enough to want to get in the mood to draw/write anything Fall themed :/
ANYWAYS.
Crosshair as Qrow is my Roman Empire. I love these two cunty disaster bi edgelord bitches so much. And I guess also their way too confident flirty jock ass big tits boyfriends as well.

. . . wait. "if you don't know where the relic is, then we have nothing left to talk about." <- a scene that happens after tai's "i've got to look after some things."
raven doesn't know and qrow's not giving that information away easily, but he knows that tai's on an assignment. did they move the relic / the vault after summer's disappearance as a precaution? sure, they assumed her dead, but one can never be too sure; she could have been captured, tortured for information, etc.
it's better to be safe than sorry.

Semblances
"All Faunus and Humans are not created equal" or some variation of is a saying that has been passed down by Renment 'traditionalists' for generations. When asked for proof, the first thing they point to are the nuemerous animal traits Faunus have. The second thing they point to is the Semblance: a unique power Human warriors have that Faunus don't.
When a human obtains 1000 AP (Aura Points), their Aura not only becomes strong enough to protect themselves, but they also gain the ability to develop a Semblance. Just like how max AP levels increase in deadly situations, Semblances can only be created by Aura during a secnario where if a semblance hadn't developed, something will die.
Three rules of Semblances to keep in mind:
1. Semblances are unique, but not unprecedented - Just like human personalities, each semblance is completely unique. Also just like human personalities, most semblances can be very similar to another person's semblance. The key here is that no matter how similar, two semblances always have at least one difference between each other. [SDC Advertisement: The Schnee family is the first family in the world to have the exact same Semblance, wow! Buy Weiss Schnee's new album, Mirror on the Wall, at a music store near you! Avalible now!]
2. Semblances drain Aura reserves - The price to activate a semblance is measured in AP, and all Semblances pay the price no matter what they do. Some semblances pay this price more than others.
3. Semblances cannot create matter - The most important rule for understanding Semblances as a scientific concept, everything created by Semblances is made of Aura, not matter. Because using a Semblance drains Aura, everything created by a semblance eventually fades away into nothingness after being created.
Semblances are divided into two main catergories: Active Semblances and Passive Semblances.
Active Semblance types
Active Semblances are by far the most common catergory of semblance and the most typical. Renment's scientist define active semblances by what they do, not by what they are used for. Also, the categories are less hard rules and more like guidelines, which is why most semblances are hybrids.
Transportation - A formerly outdated but now revived semblance subclassification that describes semblances that are used to get from point A to point B. They do this by using the Aura shield as a vehicle to move at superhuman speeds. Associated with temperamental and breezy personalites.
Generation - A semblance that produces either an Aura construct or uses Aura to produce a type of energy. Associated with creative personalites.
Deception - An outdated semblance classification that describes semblances used to deceive humans, animals, and Grimm. No longer used in official Aura studies because it describes how the semblance is used instead of what it does, however there is a certain stigma against people with the semblance type in the modern day. Associated with criminal behavior.
Empowerment - A semblance that grants the users body or another object an beneficial ability that they would normally be physical unable to perform. The ability needing to be beneficial is a cause for much discussion in Aura studies. Is the most common type of semblance.
Disempowerment - A Empowerment semblance subtype that grants a harmful affect to the user or to others.
Domination - A semblance that controls real world phenomena (matter, energy) by using Aura to puppet it. Associated with commanding personalities.
Redistribution - An outdated category that describes a semblance that activates in response to absorbing a type of energy. It stopped being used officially because all semblances in this category are a hybrid with one in another category. Associated with aggressive personalites.
Mental - A semblance that directly interacts with and changes the brains functions. Debated if this should be a main category or a sub-category of Domination. Associated with introspection.
Passive Semblances
Every 1 in 100 hundred people are naturally born with a Passive Semblance, a specialized variation of the regular Active Semblances that various warriors learn to unlock.
As the name implies, a Passive Semblance is always active, beginning from birth, and the user has zero control over it. This fact is confusing for most people that are aware semblances drain the users aura, however, Passive Semblances are the exact same. Passive Semblances do drain Aura, but the rate at which they do so is so slow that the Semblance itself will never be able to fully drain a users owner by itself.
Because of their rarity and power, Passive Semblances have captured the imagination of all cultures of Renment far and wide. Children born with a PS that have a helpful affect, like removing pain and bring joy, are said to be Blessed. Likewise, those with PS that naturally hurt the people around them are said to be hexed and are seen as inherently evil. Worst of all are the Cursed: children born with PS that hurt both themselves and the people around them. Said to be bad omens, many cultures across Renment have gone as far as to leave Cursed children to die. The ones that avoid this fate are the real unlucky ones...
