i know ive said it a billion times before, but i will happily repeat it: i really think robots for therapy use is extremely underrated, at least in the USA where i live.
i just got a qoobo, and already just having a small thing that provides weight, movement like a living animal, and a little bit of warmth, made it a lot easier for me to get through the day and do things i normally would have struggled to start and continue. i know that in the future when things like my PTSD get to me, he will be especially helpful, too.
i don't like the questions like "why not just get a dog/cat?" when i bring up this topic. why should i? i like animals, but sometimes they don't want to be touched, i don't have space for them, i can't care for them on my own, etc. the obvious better choice in situations like these is a therapy robot. it provides the functions i want, without needing anything from me in return
#.txt#you can ignore me im just rambling. i love you robots#only the robots meant to benefit people though

例に上がってる猫クッションなどと比較すると確かにボリューム感なんかが似てるけど、争って勝てるかというと厳しい気がする。ただフェリシモという会社は個人的にはちょっと苦手。

How to analyze a work of design
In class, it was mainly done to analyze the items each brought. Depending on the object, some items are brought because they feel that they are well structured, and others are brought because they have strong memories and memories of the object. Each object has a different design reason and place to use, and for that reason, the material is all different. The trading card being designed in the studio has a strong collection of reasons for its existence, so I thought that a rare design that creates a desire for collection would be important. An example is a robot called Kubo, which was seen in the Museum of Modern Art. This doll is a cat-like robot whose tail responds to people who have difficulty raising cats to soothe their tired minds, and the intention, material, and shape or shape of the design came to think that it was suitable.
The following week, I visited the National Museum of Singapore. What caught my eyes the most in the National Museum was the cannon in the image below. It looks like a cannon, but since the existence of cannons in people at that time was similar to a dragon blowing fire, I thought it was shaped like a dragon, and I thought it projected a hard and strong image using iron, the original material of the cannon. Even if it is not a practical part, when viewed from an artistic point of view, I thought it was an excellent design because the cannon's design was colorful and I could imagine various things. When I designed my design, I thought it was for the same reason that I intentionally arranged the edges and arrangements of designer cards in a long time ago in order to make use of the sensibility of sf, even if it was not a practical part.

there are things like this for dementia patients and people with autism or anxiety. many of which are usually dogs or cats, but there’s also the qoobo
however, a lot of realistic animal dolls meant to soothe in the same way as reborn dolls are very.. stiff or not incredibly lifelike. not posable, usually sits in one position. for example, this line of realistic dog plushies. the Qoobo is nice because it’s so simplebodied so it doesn’t really have to worry about many distal features and the intricacies they require (facial features, paw beans, claws, etc.)
i was just thinking, there aren’t a lot of plushes for individual baby animals.. and i am a firm believer that for every animal plush, that manufacturer should also make its younger counterpart. i’ve been wanting a baby humboldt penguin plush, and i just happened to be lucky enough to find a life-sized fairy penguin plush at my local aquarium
i wish it was more common for people to put the amount of craftsmanship and love into animal dolls as they do for the human infant counterparts! they even make chimpanzee reborn dolls, so… not sure why this hasn’t been explored more lol
Ok so humans have like reborn dolls and they have tags/communities for them
They’re supposed to be great for anxiety ofc like I see a lot of therians’ animal plushies on here helping with various things alike
We need our own tags for our version of reborn dolls; stuffed animals
#txt#I don’t really know what the appeal of a baby chimpanzee is but you do you I guess#i apologize dearly but.. chimpanzees…#literally the only animal i am not interested in. i do not want to look at or be around them#otherkin#therian#alterhumanity

Breathe along with the robot pillow
From the team that brought you the weird and wonderful robot cat pillow comes an equally weird and wonderful breathing pillow. Japanese boutique robotics firm Yukai Engineering returns to CES with Fufuly, which follows in Qoobo’s footsteps, by quite literally breathing some life into a cushion. The hardware startup says the product utilizes “respiratory entrainment,” […] Breathe along with the robot pillow by Brian Heater originally published on TechCrunch http://dlvr.it/SgLZVB

so I got my Qoobos today, their names are Big Mac and Small Fry, and. there is something in the way I'm posed here lol. what in the renaissance painting involving fairies and wolves and insubordinate amounts of green is this pose. I love it. They have made me unbelievably happy. and so I fell off the sofa and posed like this because I was too happy to care. and became a renaissance figure.
#moom rambles#and yes that's me irl!#can't see my face very well here so. yar.#ebgiejviskfks silly.#very silly.#silliest even.#botblr#yukai engineering#qoobo#petit qoobo

Qoobo - tailed cushion
Pronounced = ku-bo
aight what is this: cushion used for therapeutic purposes, tail wags, and electronic innards of the cushion produces a heart beat.
The tail itself has different modes, slowly when pet gently, waving when pet with more force, and will also wave randomly- just to say 'oh hi'
I became obsessed with this thing after the passing of my childhood pet, she was attached to my front(her favourite spot, i'd hold her like a baby lol) and wanted to kinda fill the void...
There are multiple pet-like companions, but this one got by the uncanny value. By not trying to replicate the looks of a cat or dog.
It had a kickstarter that started in March of 2017, and seems to be still selling today. Not only that but I've found two different versions:
the smaller with a nub tail, Petit Qoobo(released about 2 years after in 2019),
And even a disney licensed one after the cat Marie from the Aristrocats(two year-ish after, 2021),
They're pretty expensive, around 300$ usd(though I couldn't find an official listing for it NA side) and the petit being around 150 usd.
I would love to own one to do a more in-depth look at it, to see if it effects me day to day.
Official Site - Qoobo
Fun fact: the company behind it, Yukai Engineering, is the same one behind the telekinetic cat eyes 'Nekomimi'. The ones that would sense you mood to move the ears to match! (I had no idea lol, i was like ' yeah makes sense')
#weird tech#qoobo#interesting tech#therapy technology#i wanna make a blurb bout the nekomimi as well#they just recently make like a 2.0 :000#cute tech#electronic pet
