Bsd BEAST theory

One thing that always bugs me is that poeple are always saying that in BEAST! Dazai doesn’t care qboy anyone but Odasaku, and that he wrecked everyone’s life for this. I beg to differ.

In my opinion, though he did say that this was the only world where Oda could live and write his book, I don’t think that was the inky reason. For example, if he made it so Oda didn’t save Akutagawa, then Gide wouldn’t have discovered Oda and would have just left after the Ango thing was over. Oda could have left the mafia with Dazai’s help and bada bing bada boom. (ignore the entire au I made)

I think that dazai chose the exact circumstances in BEAST because this was the universe where everyone lives and has a reason to do so.

Dazai is a twisted man, that’s for sure. If there’s one thing that he values, it’s a reason to live. that’s probably the reason why he keep bringing up Atsushi’s trauma. though it was messed up, the headmaster made sure to give Atsushi a reason to live. Dazai want Atsushi to remember that and keep living.

It’s the same with Akutagawa. Finding Gin and getting revenge on Dazai seems to be his reason for living at the moment.

Sorry for making this complicated, but long story short: Dazai chose this exact universe with these exact circumstances not because just Odasaku can live and follow his dreams, but because EVERYONE is living and has a reason to keep living.

But that’s just a theory,
