Have you decided how the Cyan and Orange Soul modes are going to work? Because from the look of it, they’re going to be used in Burgerpants and Maddaton EX’s fights, respectively. Also, do you have any designs for Burgerpants?
At first I was confused as to where you got those specific soul modes from until I remembered the weapon/armor list on our website haha. I did think about this sometime in February and even made a chart to try to make sense of it but hadn't considered the soul modes could switch around too. If they change according to the new soul order, it would be like this:
Tumblr media
Interestingly Undyne and Papyrus keep their original combat styles... leon also came up with some ideas for cyan and orange:
Cyan could give you a set number of invulnerability frames when you're not moving. Straycat probably throws a lot of garbage and junk all over the place, so he could have some attacks that'd otherwise be impossible to dodge as trash fills the battle box and you have to go higher and higher up and have less time to anticipate attacks Orange is easy: You can't stop moving but go faster. Maddaton is super high energy and it's the only way to outrun her attacks. Think about a fight that's styled like Sans' attack where he puts you in a loooooooong battle box, but for basically the whole fight. Maybe it's styled after a music bar? I'm sure there's other creative applications for the idea too that I just can't think of right now
Even if you're not making an actual fangame it's still fun to think about this kind of thing!
Burgerpants/Straycat was designed by @sunfloraas so it's up to her if she wants to post her drawings on here. There is that little doodle up there and I suppose I can post these overworld sprites too; it's still missing Gerson and Q.C. but at least there's other guys!

Sunday Family lunch was at my lolo's house in Q.C.
this is not the regular weekly family lunch with my parents and siblings. but this once a month event is when the extended family members come together for a whole day and i tell you it's tiring with all the kids running and screaming, the recycled jokes and never ending chismisan. basta, hindi nakaka relax.
that is why i asked dad if i can skip lunch and will join nalang them for dinner instead. pumayag naman.
i called the new guy and invited him to hear mass with me and lunch after. sakto nasa Manila area sya. so we had lunch and the seafood pasta and gambas was so so good, sobrang sulit talaga and the churros? boy, Dulcinea serves it best.
after lunch we went to GreenHills kasi I need to buy a 27in monitor. me nakita naman ako Samsung na pasok naman sa budget ko so yun. we did not stay long kasi sobrang dami ng tao and we both have to join our respective families for dinner.
surprisingly, when he dropped me off sa house, he asked if I will introduce him sa dad ko? and being the manhid person I am, asked "but why?" and his reply was like "ganun naman diba? good manners yung you present yourself to the parents?"
so ako na ang walang good manners. sorry na.
i told him perhaps next time because i know how my relatives can maneuver and end up being jerks with new people around. it;s not that they are bad naman but like what i said, I know my family and I don't want the new guy to experience what the previous guys felt.
sana lang he understood my situation and i trust he did naman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so yun, we had barbecue food for dinner. ayaw ko na magkwento but i was there trying to be nice and accomodating to all. until we have to cut short the al fresco dinner since it started to drizzle and retreated inside. good thing, my new siblings are here which was a good excuse for me na magpapatulog ako ng bata kasi naman mag 9pm na and hello, okay lang naman kung Saturday eh the next day walang pasok, pero Monday na bukas and people have work.
buti nalang we left early and dad dropped me off sa place ko.
so that was Sunday for me.

This young patient of mine, only 26 years, presented with a testicular tumor three years ago. He underweent surveillance after. He was in remission until three months ago when he palpated an abdominal mass.
Germ cell tumors are a group of tumors arising from the male testes and can occur rarely in the abdomen or chest. As these tumors have exquisite response to chemotherapy, I am hopeful and praying for a complete response after three cycles. He recently got married a year prior to the recurrence— an unexpected turn of events— but we remain hopeful in this leap of faith.

4. Ewan McGregor Movie Review: Nothing but the Truth (1995)
Tumblr media
TRIGGER WARNING: In this review, I mention sexual violence because that is what this movie is about. I don't go into great detail. Still, if the topic of sexual violence/assault is triggering for you then this is your warning to scroll past.
Ewan McGregor's first project of 1995 was the pilot episode of British television series Kavanagh Q.C. titled "Nothing but the Truth." You might be asking yourself, "television series? I thought those were going to be excluded?" You're right and the reason I included this episode in our movie review list is because it has a runtime of an HOUR AND FORTY-ONE MINUTES. Where I come from, we call that a movie. The episode is also a standalone project, meaning that you don't need to watch the whole series or even an additional episode to finish the plot or understand the narrative. Everything you need to know for the episode happens in the episode.
A couple fun facts before we get started!
In this project, Ewan works alongside Geraldine James again. You might remember her from our previous review as the ex-jazz singer in "Doggin' Around." I thought that was cool! Here, she plays Eleanor Harker Q.C. (Queen's Counsel) who is the prosecutor attorney.
If you've ever heard Ewan say that he met his wife while working on a project, THIS is that project! This is where he met his first wife, Eve Mavrakis, who is credited as the Assistant Art Director. The episode aired January 3, 1995 and six months later they were wed.
Let's dive in!
Movie Review: "Nothing but the Truth" stars the late John Thaw as the titular Kavanagh Q.C. James Kavanagh is a senior barrister and arguably the best. While he couldn't be more adept at his job as a barrister, the same cannot be said for his job as a husband and father. The demands of these roles pull him in different directions and cause friction between him and his wife. The main plot is about an affluent young man accused of sexually assaulting the woman for whom he works. Naturally, it's a he said/she said situation. He claims that it was a consensual fling while she claims the opposite. The evidence corroborates both of their stories to an extent which makes it even harder to know who is being honest. As one of the best lawyers in Britain, Kavanagh is tasked with defending the accused. Unfortunately, defending a man accused of rape only creates more cracks in the foundation of his familial relationships. Armed with his intellect and belief in the inherent goodness of man, Kavanagh is determined to find nothing but the truth.
Ewan Review: Ewan plays the character David Armstrong who is our young man accused of sexual assault. He has a posh English accent and is incredibly soft-spoken. He also has a stutter which sounds a bit forced at times. This role is my absolute favorite for his long, silky, hair era! We get a few shots of it in the half-up/half-down style but for the majority of the film it's all down. They must have given him a full on blow out because that hair was thick, long, and luscious! His hair needed it's own acting credit. Ewan also showcases his acting skills really well in this role. I've felt for a long time that Ewan performs best in roles that require subtlety and he does a great job in this one. On a more critical note, even though he often plays characters who are depicted in a negative light, those stories tend to require you to suspend your disbelief. That is not the case with this movie. This is a serious topic and the movie handles it with the seriousness it deserves. If Ewan brings you comfort and you only engage with his more wholesome roles, then this might not be for you. There are no graphic depictions of sex in the movie but there is sexual audio twice and in the court scenes the characters go into detail about the incident.
Screentime Percentage (All numbers are rounded to the nearest whole number): Ewan is on screen for a grand total of 21/101 minutes making his SP 21%.
To Ewan or not to Ewan: Is this movie worth watching for Ewan content alone? Yes, even with the low percentage! Again, his hair is *chef's kiss* 🤌. We get to see him sweaty and working in the dirt as well as dressed up in a three piece suit. There's also a brief makeout scene and shirtless scene. Is the movie worth watching in general? This is very difficult for me to say but my answer is no. My opinion is that the movie is /only/ worth watching for Ewan. If he wasn't in it or was in it even less then it'd be a skip for me. The premise is interesting but the movie can be slow in places. Also, maybe it's just because this was the pilot episode or the legal system being different in Britain, but there were significant issues not addressed in the court scenes that make the ending a little less satisfying. If you like crime shows, then you might like this regardless of the Ewan factor. But be warned, this is not a flashy, fast-paced drama like Law and Order SVU or Criminal Minds. It's an old, British, drama about an old lawyer.
Where to Watch: "Nothing but the Truth" is currently uploaded for free on YouTube through the channel "Ewan McGregor Vault". Just search "Kavanagh Q.C. Nothing But the Truth with Ewan McGregor". If you want to watch the full series, all episodes are also uploaded for free on a YouTube playlist through the channel "o p i u m 1". Just search "Kavanagh Qc".
Conclusion: "Nothing but the Truth" is a hidden gem in Ewan McGregor's career. Unlike other crime shows I've seen, this movie was unique in that there wasn't very much information the audience had that the characters didn't. You really have to pay attention, trust your gut, and hope the verdict is the right one. This also makes the movie great for rewatches because you'll start to notice things in the background that add to the story. I highly suggest watching this with another person because if you're like me, you're going to have a lot to talk about as the truth is revealed.

Leaving Cards - Design basics for gentlemen of the late 1800s.
A gentleman's card should be thin—thick cards are not in good taste—and not glazed, and of the usual narrow width; his name should be printed in the centre, thus: "Mr. Smith," or "Mr. Francis Smith," should he require the addition of his Christian name to distinguish him from his father or elder brother.  To have "Francis Smith" printed on the card without the prefix of "Mr." would be a glaring solecism, and in the worst possible taste; also initials appertaining to honorary rank should never be printed or written on a card, such as D.L., Q.C., M.P., K.C.B., M.D., &c.  Military or professional titles necessarily precede the surname of the person bearing them, and of course are always used, such as "Colonel Smith," "Captain Smith," "Rev. H. Smith," "Dr. Smith," &c.  As regards titles, "The Honourable" is the only title that is not used on a visiting card. Thus, "The Honourable Henry Smith's" card would bear the words "Mr. Henry Smith" only, minus "The Honourable".  A baronet's card would be printed thus, "Sir George Smith," and a knight's card thus, "Sir Charles Smith."  A gentleman's address should be printed in the left hand corner of the card. If a member of a club, it is usual to print the name of the club at the right hand. Officers usually have the name of the club printed at the left hand corner in place of the address, and the regiment to which they belong at the right hand.  Cards should be printed in small copper-plate type, without ornamentation of any kind. Old English letters look old-fashioned on a card, and are but little used; and ornamented capital letters are never used, and are out of date. The type should be as plain and as free from any sort of embellishment as it well can be.
Manners and Tone of Good Society; or Solecisms to be Avoided, A Member of the Aristocracy, c.1886 (13th edition) [x] (Paragraphing added.)
The author later expands:
As has been said, the title of "Honourable" is never used on a visiting card, but all other titles are used. The "The" preceding the title, is not used on a visiting card.
Please note that the design points (card thickness, type) are highly applicable to the late 19th century, when ornamentation had gone out of style, rather than other periods such as the mid-19th century when high-ornamentation was the fashion. We see the above advice embodied in Oscar Wilde's card (under a pseudonym), circa 1897 (note his address in the right hand, which may have varied from place to place; this address is in France):

i was planning to play tennis after work but the new guy called and wanted to eat at Bellinis. kahit na di ko trip mag drive pa Q.C. tinuloy ko na din. tutal friday naman and since wala naman naka sched ang barkada ko for drinks tumuloy na ako.
new guy: bakit ka naka pekpek shorts sineseduce mo ba ako?
me: huh? mag tennis kasi ako dapat eh tumawag ka. di na ako nakapagpalit.
new guy: pasta and pizza? gutom ako eh.
and we had a quiet dinner. actually, he barely spoke during the meal. i assume its work related as he made two calls and the text messages kept on coming....
new guy: sorry. work stuff. alam mo na.
me: do you want to go home early?
new guy: no. eto lang yung time ko today para maka hinga ng maluwag.
me.........
new guy: are you entertaining other guys?
me: walang nagpaparamdam eh. me kumalabit nga, badjao naman nahingi ng pera.
new guy: sumeryoso ka nga. meron ka bang dinadate na iba?
me: wala.
which is partially untrue. although I am not dating any guy, I still can't muster enough courage to tell him that there is a constant fuck buddy hidden somewhere. di pa ako ready to tell him all.
you know? contingency measures in place: i get itchy, and someone scratches. no strings attached. life goes on.
am i too evil for doing it? technically I am single and I can mingle, right? but I felt guilty because I was not being truthful and I hate that feeling.
after dinner, we smoked at the parking lot which led to him inviting me to play poker with his friends. i begged off. I have errands tomorrow.
before we parted he kissed me on the forehead.
what the fuck was that all about?
he could have kissed me on the lips or even the cheeks, but my forehead? he could have frisked me and played with my buns since I was sporting pekpek shorts but he did not. and instead of inviting me to have sex, he prefers we play poker?

Part Two of my rant about the Obliteration Route in Deltatraveler from someone who's only seen letsplays because she's only playing pacifist.
Context in this chain of reblogs.
TL;DR I live reblog a rant about the Obliteration Route and how Susie's actions are out of character like Alphys ranting about Mew Mew's character arch.
Ok, now on to thoughts on section three of the obliteration Route in Deltatravler.
It’s two to three sections late, but finally, Susie (and surprisingly, Noelle) leaves the party. Honestly, I think this should have happened around section 2 after they killed the first Happy Happyism cultist. (Maybe before this, you could use “Self-defense” as an excuse, but they were armed with a F*&KING PAINT BRUSH!)
Susie would be mad at the confrontation in Q.Cs. I kind of get it if we were going for the memeish thing of her being like "I’m not mad, just disappointed,” but no, she would genuinely be mad.
Just generally, I see in section three almost what the Obliteration Route should have been like since Section 2, maybe Section 1.
I thought Devious Susie was, like, turning Susie evil, but from the looks of it, it seems like it's basically (almost) what I think would be in Susie’s character from the first place and NOT after you force Kris to attack her. Still feel like its not enough of a rebellion for Susie of all people but still.
(Especially as she would’ve thrown away that stick at the Paula and Ness boss fight, at least, probably earlier.)
Anyway, apologies for this rant. Just wanted to get out some thoughts. TL;DR because Deltarune established that Susie was the most rebellious against the player's commands, she would have thrown up the towel WAY earlier in the obliteration route. She wouldn't put up with any snowgrave-obliteration route BS, especially after her character development in chapter 1.
Idk maybe I'm bias bc I'm writing a snowgrave fic. (WITH NEW CHAPTER COMING ON THE 16TH IN WHATEVER TIMEZONE THE US AND UK HAVE!)
